Hi, I'm sandy Sandler the creator of the bowdabra, and I want to thank everybody for joining me tonight for our bowdabra live now. I was getting kind of a little touch of coughs, her cold and my friend Kathy came up with the idea to do a flu gift basket. So that's what we're gon na do right now. So it's a great gift, I'm trying to get here, so I can see your comments so, okay, cool. So anyway, I wanted to show you really quickly how to make a little gift basket. This is a Dollar Tree, mug or a dollar store mug, I'm not sure exactly which dollar store, but it was a dollar and I've just put some sizzle pack or this the packing in here I thought that pink was a really pretty color and then what I Mean to do is: take the halls' little law Sanders here and put those in the back and you threw it lozenger. Then we have this really pretty little butterfly pick I'll put that in there and then I have the lemon and tissue that we'll put here. Hi Edna and then what I'm gon na do is take my tea bags. I'M just gon na kind of put the tea in here. So it's sort of a tea and honey basket, so we'll put our other tea there and we have these little packets of honey which fit perfectly in here and so pleased. Let me know where you're from where you're watching from and also don't forget that we're gon na be giving away a free roll of our bowdabra scrunchie ribbon at the end of the half hour. So you have to say, I want to win and then also. Let me know what color scrunchie ribbon: you're gon na want to win. If you win and the winner will be picked at the end of our show, so you'll have this cute little basket. Now I have this bag and I love these gift basket bags. Then they kind of stand up and scrunch this down a little bit and then just put my basket in here. So it's super simple and you could actually build the basket in the bag, but I like to do it first. Then I'm gon na cut a piece of my bowdabra bow wire and then I'm just going to take the top of my basket and just leave this back and forth. Hi rose hi Susie from Eastern Oregon and now I'm going to just fold this in half and bring it through, and I do this slip knot just because and then I'll bring it around to the back and I'm just gon na tie. If you can see, I'm just gon na tie a bow here and then I'm gon na put this aside and now I'm going to just make a bow and so I'll take I'd like big bow Dabra here you could do this in either the big bow, diver Or the mini and we're going to do some more with the mini in a little bit and I'll. Take my gold abode, Abra bow wire and I'm gon na fold it in half and lay this down into my big bowdabra and just tuck the ends underneath and then I'm going to start now. I'Ve already dubbed how the ends of this, if you're, not sure how to dovetail I'm gon na fold it in half and then we're just going to cut from the corner from the corner to the fold at an angle, and that gives you your nice dovetail. So I'll just fold this in half and lay this down into the bowdabra. I thought these spring colors are kind of fun for today and I'm gon na now take this one and put this in and then I have another piece of ribbon and under this light, that's how I think it might be the same. No, this is the right side, so I'm gon na put the right side of the ribbon down. Then I'm gon na bring this back around and put the right side. I know the ribbon in here and then I'm just going to go to the center and scrunch that down they have another tail I'll put in here men. I'M just going to take this piece here and just scourge this down and we're making like a little scrunchie bow, and then I'm going to take this here, pull it through but tight, while it's still in my bowdabra. So let me know how many of you got a bow, Dobrow or mini bowdabra for Hanukkah or Christmas or Kwanzaa. So now, I'm just gon na fold this over and this I'm gon na knot and we're just going to kind of shape. This bow - and you know what I this was a bow. I was just gon na show you how to make so this isn't the bum actually gon na put on the gift basket. I could, but I have another bow, that's a little bit more cheery. So I hope you guys like this bow also we have Sally at ofl. Thank you for reminding the FL shared you guys. You are my marketing team, so please I would so appreciate it if you share this video with your friends or in your groups, so we have this and we could tie what I'll do is I'll actually tie this on to the front of my basket and all I'M doing here is just again: I'm tying you see if I can show you the camera without messing everything up. All I'm doing here is just tying it like. I would a shoelace, because I don't well. I don't want somebody to have to struggle with it and you have this really cute little boat, so send me likes or loves. If you like, this I'd really appreciate it. Let me know what you think and then now I'm gon na make the other bow that I had for this for this gift basket. I'Ll see if I can show it to you here, the other bow that I have for this gift basket and because I thought this was kind of cheery ribbon. Take this out and put this aside, take my bowdabra and again I'm going to take my bowdabra bow wire, hi, Alison and Vanina. I love how you guys are having conversations with each other. It'S so awesome and thank you so much for joining me and for sharing see not thank you for sharing. So now I'm folding it in half, and so now I'm just taking this piece of ribbon and I'm just gon na scrunch this down into my bowdabra, and these are my tails and I've already dovetailed them. But I just think that this is so pretty and bright and if somebody isn't feeling very well and then I'm taking this and again, I'm gon na take the right side of my ribbon. If you couldn't see that and put that down into my bowdabra, I'm gon na fold it over and again take the right side put that down and then go to the center and scrunch everything in I'm gon na. Do the exact same thing with this ribbon. So I'm gon na take the right side of the ribbon scrunch that down bring it around scrunch it in this is just such. I love the butterflies and the flowers and you know with winter, and then this is just my Corker ribbon that I actually buy it already Corker like curled, so I don't have to do it myself. Then I'm just gon na take this up here, bring it through. My Slipknot pull it tight, while it's still in the bowdabra, then I take it out and I'm gon na try to show you guys how to make a whole bunch of different types of bows with bowdabra tonight. So, and I have a really big, it could be a wreath, bow or centerpiece and tie this or door bow so tie this here, Edna. Thank You, Edna and Donna. Thank you guys for loving your bowdabra and Edna. Thank you. I think this is a pretty cheerful bow also and if you know you're feeling down and not that great, I think it gets a nice to receive so you could put and what you could do is actually putting this boat on the back. What can you bring this over here? You can put this bow on the back, so it's just super simple to do, and you saw that in like less than ten minutes, we made both of the bows and we did the gift basket. So in case you missed earlier, you can see what's inside of our gift basket, so it's really super simple to make and I'm gon na put this aside know if you guys know that I actually started making bows, because I had a corporate gift business and we Made tons of gift baskets, but nobody could make a bow, so I bought every moment there. I couldn't use them and worked with a design engineer and that's how we came up with bowdabra. So I'm going to grab my mini bowdabra and we're gon na make a bow using the mini bowdabra. So I'm gon na take my bowdabra bow wire fold it in half hi Deb you from Pennsylvania and Barbara from Mississippi and Dawn from Pennsylvania. Sylvia says it's pretty. Thank you, so I'm taking my bowdabra bow wire folding it in half I'm using this silver here and if you watch me in the preview, you'll know that I started to make this bow and then realized. I was missing a piece of ribbon, so we're gon na make it again. I'Ve already dovetailed the ends, so I'm just gon na put these two pieces, my silver and my blue together fold them in half and just I'm just gon na do what we call like a little mountain up, so I'm just pinching in the center and that lets It crease, especially if you're, making like hair bows, let sit crease, so it's really nice and then I'm gon na take these two pieces here, we're gon na double them, and one of the questions I get a lot is hi Jen from West Virginia and a man That we got a lot of people from Pennsylvania today, so now I'm going to just twist it and put that in here, then I'm going to fold it back over and again. This is how it works in the regular bowdabra or the mini bowdabra. In a twist and we're just going to fold this back over and twist it and then I'm just gon na make the little center loop, where I'm just going to fold it and make it half the size of my bigger loop fold it in and I'm just Going to scrunch that down into my bowdabra, my mini bowdabra and they'll, take my wand and just give everything a really good push and now I'll take my wire pull it through the Slipknot but tight, while it's still in the bowdabra. Well, we have people from all over the world watching we've got Australia. We have the UK so now I'll bring this around to the back, and I would love to know how you guys heard that is there anybody watching for the first time our live tonight. Are you new to bowdabra and then now this piece, I'm just gon na clip right here and now what I'm gon na do is shape my bow, so I'm gon na start by shaping my center loop and then shape these to bring this down here and take My wire around to the back, so you can see how it's super simple and pretty that comes out, and this is what I love with bowdabra. Is it's all really really easy? If you absolutely don't need any Talent, and so I also love how you can use scraps of ribbon so we're gon na go from here and now I'm going to go, make I said six bows, so we've done three, but we're definitely gon na go through six Mean two more now Chinese New Year's coming up, so I thought it would be fun. I think it's the 25th, so in about ten, what what's today that so about 15 days? Hmm excuse me so now I'm going to take this piece and actually I'm gon na make this one in the mini bowdabra. So I'm gon na just take my bowdabra bow wire. Oh Donna, you're new welcome Wow Karen awesome. So now, if Karen's from the UK and was watching for her first time and Susan hi Susan and Donna - oh my god, Donna you bought it from QVC that must be like forever ago. So you've had the bowdabra for a long time. Okay! So now I'm going to cut this and I'm just going to dovetail my ends. I like to dovetail them whoops we get in make sure I'm in the camera here and because I think they look so pretty when it's like pointed like that so folded in half and I'm just gon na lay this down into my mini bowdabra and I'm not Measuring you could measure, we do have a lot of videos where we show the exact measurements, but sometimes I like to just do it by my eye, because I feel hi Rebecca, I feel like. If you make a bow by hand, it's never gon na, be perfect. So if you're making a bone bowdabra, it doesn't need to be perfect either. So, in fact, it looks more handmade so now fold this and the only more time when that doesn't really hold true is hair bows and people like their hair, bows to be perfectly measured, which is why we have the hair bow tool. So I'm just gon na try that and I'm just gon na sort of bring everything in and graduate all of my loops. So we start with bigger. We go a little bit smaller, a little bit smaller and then I'll finish with a little center loop. So this one I'm not twisting, I think you noticed that I twisted and what did I do with my scissors here they are and this table isn't even very crowded. So any of you crafters know that losing things on your craft table is a pretty common thing. So scrunch it all in there and then I'll pull this through and pull it tight. Well, it's still in my mini bowdabra I'll separate the ends, bring it around to the back now, double knot it and for those of you who are new to bowdabra, okay. So, first let me I'm gon na just shape this and then I'll show you what I was going to show you so I'm just kind of making this. So you can see it's just like we're just kind of shaping it, and I I don't know why. But I call this a butterfly bow. I think, because it kind of looks like a butterfly, so it's super simple to make and pretty fun. So, oh that's cool! So now we need. So if you guys notice, there's a pull up and you can vote what color scrunchie ribbon you'd like to win, whether you want to win red or gold or silver. So I'm going to put this bow aside and I'm going to show you what I was going to show you before underneath here in both the mini bowdabra and the regular bowdabra there are Springs. So that's what allows us to automatically adapt to what I put into it so with the bigger bowdabra. You have more space in between here, but that's what holds everything really tight. So that's why you have the the springs on this side, but nothing on that side. So I'm gon na put everything aside, because now we're gon na make a really big bow. So this one they have to use my big bowdabra and I'm even gon na move. My soda out of the way and you're gon na fold this all in half and did something happen. Okay, so if something happens, let me know: okay, so no eyes what I've got here is whoopsie Daisy, so we're gon na start with this. I think these are already down tailed, and this is a five inch wide ribbon. I'D say it's probably about maybe three quarters of a yard long we're just gon na lay this in then. What I'm going to do is take the right side of the ribbon. Put that down this is like this is gon na be really gorgeous, but yet super super simple to make then lay this down here again, I'm going to take the right side of my ribbon lay that down into the bowdabra and Thank You aDNA for letting me Know sometimes we just don't know and what bowdabra we're we just want to. Let you guys know that you have to be on the live in order to win so fold this you have to stay till the end or till be announced, but I hope you'll stay till the end, and also I want to thank everybody who shared so now Again, I'm gon na take the right sign of my ribbon. Put this down into my bowdabra, bring this around and put this in here, and this bow Kathy who's been helping me design things designed this boat. I just think it's so gorgeous. So now I'm going to lay this down in here and and take the right side of the ribbon okay. This is this is the wrong side of the ribbon. So I want to put the right side of the ribbon down and fold it. Let'S fold it back over, and this is a bow that I'm pretty sure I'm gon na have to use my wand on so fold this back over here and go to the center cuz. This is a pretty big. This is gon na, be a really big bow. I think the one another my other bowed a bar there and I'm just gon na scrunch everything in and then, as you can see, I'm sort of shaping it as I go and just to keep things organized Kathy, clipped everything together for me, which is a huge Help so then, what I'm gon na do here is. I have another piece of ribbon, and this is what's great. Is you can just if you just have like ends of ribbon and then I'll, take the right side and put that down fold it around, and then I'm going to come back to the center and push that down in here and then I have another tail that We'Re gon na put going this way, and this this is very similar to what people call a terry bow. I think it might be a little bit bigger the right side of the ribbon. It'S gon na go down. I'M gon na bring this back around and Thank You Sharon, Oh patty. Thank you so much for sharing all you guys when you share. It just means so much to me and it's such a help, because really this is how we mark it and we just keep doing more and more projects and videos and lives, and I've got all kinds of fun things that we're doing for 2020. So I'm really excited so now I have this blue ribbon and going to just lay this going in this way. So it's just kind of mix-and-match, which is what I love about: bowdabra, that you can just kind of mix and match everything and then bring this over here, scrunch that in and then they have another piece of my peacock ribbon and I'm gon na. Let the tails go this way, and so you can see how I sort of shape it as I'm going. Oh, I know, I know we're gon na. Ask you guys. Do you like the split screen? Is that it like? Do we like that better or do we like just like just seeing me, do it or just from above so please comment and let me know what you think so then I'll bring that down in here. We have more Kathi made this one massive. So but you see how simple it is: it's like super super simple, so we're just gon na lay this down in here and use the same peacock ribbon yeah, it's such it's really, nice ribbon and so now again, I'm going to take the right side of the Ribbon and push that down fold it back over and the right side and we're mixing one and a half inch ribbon with four instrument. Now I got it have to find where my want. Oh here it is. My wand went because we're definitely starting to get pretty full here. Oh you like this. Okay, good, I'm glad you guys, like the split-screen. Thank you! That'S cool! So now I'm going to put this here because we're just having so much fun and figuring all this out and playing with our new toys, the setup I have to do a video of the setup that Remi and his brother Hudson helped me do. I mean Hudson basically told me what they needed and I was blown away by how inexpensive it was. I thought it was gon na have to spend a ton of money and they didn't. Thank you to Hudson and I'm gon na now. I'M now I'm gon na have to use my wand to kind of hold everything in because got a lot of ribbon in here and pull this out. Oh and then the other thing don't forget that everybody's got. I got some gorgeous florals that were on sale at like seventy five percent off for and they're technically holiday florals. But you know I'm just gon na. Let these go this way and then put this in here and oh I'm so glad you guys like the split screen. That'S so cool! Thank you guys for letting me know, and then now I'm going to just take this and put this in here this there push it down. Now you can see I'm holding everything down because we're getting pretty full here, and then I have this ribbon here that we're just gon na lay in there and take the right side of the ribbon. Put that down fold it back over and then bring this in. Here and I'm almost done like keep having trees, we literally had a big laundry bucket to put all this ribbon in, and so now, I'm just gon na finish this off. We have this piece of gold ribbon that we just had a little scrap of so this is cool for a little scrunchie bow right in the middle and that's what's fun. Is you can like do all these different styles then these I picked up for like nothing because for Christmas, but I think they look kind of Mardi Gras. Excuse me, I think, they're perfect for Mardi Gras, so we're just gon na lay these down in here and I looked down and panicked because I thought maybe I forgot my wire, but I didn't think goodness after all of this, so I'll bring this up here. Pull this through my Slipknot pull it really tight, while it's still in the bowdabra. That'S what I like about the bowdabra bow wire. Is it's really strong, so I'm gon na separate the ends, bring them around to the back and yeah Michaels has some really good? Everybody has really good sales right now, I'm gon na tie it and you always seem to know, are the great sales. Ah, I'm gon na knot it and knot it and bring this around. Oh I'm glad that do you like the split screen Donna. I really like it too. It'S just. It'S been a learning curve for me and Remy figuring out. How did how to get this working right, but with Remy and his brother and me sorta, not really it's more than figuring out how to do this. So now we're just shaping and pulling all of our loops out, and here we have all of our ribbon, bring this all around and you can see how like gon na, pull this up here. How totally like super gorgeous - and it's really simple - it just took a little bit of time to put everything into the bowdabra and just shape everything kind of these are, I think these are all, except for maybe one they're, all wired ribbons and um. The split screen is we're actually using a soft, what we're using a Logitech camera, but we're using a software called EECOM which only works on Macs, but it is amazing for the price. It'S like I'll, put a link in there for you guys if anybody's interested, because I'm just blown away. If you have a Mac by how incredible this software is so there we go and not fun now did we have a winner yet, Oh Rebecca! Thank you. I love the bowdabra where the winner is Billy: glass, Billy, congratulations, that's so awesome, and now please make sure you PM bowdabra so that with your mailing address and your email address, so we can send out your scrunchie ribbon and also, let me know what color, what Color, whether you want red silver or gold, so I'll put this aside, I said six boats. We did one two three, how many bows which we make so I'll put this one aside, four or five: I'm going to make one more just for good measure and I'm going to take this beautiful ribbon and I believe we have to have this ribbon in our Store and we're gon na double it up, so I'm gon na fold, this in half and Oh dawn, totally praying for Australia. Oh my gosh, it's so so sad and so scary and blessings to all of you. Okay, so we're gon na clip this and those poor. Little koala bears, and now I'm going to just dovetail the ends and again I'm just doing that by folding it in half and whoops cutting at an angle from the corner to the fold and we're just going to lay this. So I don't know if you can see with the lights, we've got a pink and then with a little swirls, so I'm going to lay that down in there and then I'm just gon na double these two ribbons up and Oh Thank You Carol, I'm so excited You got a bowdabra for Christmas, that's so awesome and that's why I'm doing these with like more of the how to's for the beginning of the year, because I know a lot of people got bowdabra for the holidays. So, let's just fold this. Let me know what I'm gon na do it'll be a little easier for me. If I just cut this and we'll keep going so I'm just going to twist fold it back and twist and all I'm doing - and this is what's cool with bowdabra - is you can double your ribbons and I'll? Show you probably next week a trick on how I how I also make layered ribbons, which is kind of fun. Oh and I'll, have to remember to show you guys next week, my reel since its organizing time my absolute favorite trick for organizing your ribbon. It'S so cool and so simple anybody can do it and it's really inexpensive, because I just use stuff that I got at the dollar store and then I'm gon na do my little center loop there and bring this up through here. Pull it tight, while it's still in the bowdabra, separate the ends and bring it around to the back, tie a knot and tie another knot and now we'll get to shaping it. So what we're gon na start shaping by just doing the center loop and then bringing these around here and bring the tails down kind of take my wire out of the way. But I want to leave the wire there so that we can tie it on to whatever we want to tie it on to, and also those of you that have let's clip this piece of ribbon here. I don't need that. Those of you that have your bowdabra or new to bowdabra, please let me know what types of projects you'd like to see us do during the lives. Sharon Wurgler: I've had both sizes for years. I also have a stash of ribbons I need to use up. The first bow you made here is fantastic. I love the simplicity of it. I came across a video by May May Made it and decided that I could benefit from some detailed instructions. I basically taught myself from pictures, but these are going to help my skill set... thank you

Kaaren Armstrong: Just learned about the bowdabra this past week. I just learned where to buy one so I'm on my way to get one. I LOVE the huge bows with a lot of different ribbons. I always wondered how people made them. Love the bowdabra and can't wait to get mine. Kaaren from North Carolina

CeeCee: How cute!! The flu basket is so thoughtful. That would definitely brighten my day if someone gifted me with that.

SOUTHERN BOSS: Thank you for this tutorial. With so many people in my church that have the flu this basket would really cheer them up.

Janie Warre: I love the split screen. It really helps someone new to the Bodabra.

Sharon Brenhaug: You use such beautiful ribbon, I Love it

NIL A: The bowdabra is so helpful..great idea. I got one

C Taylor: Wow! You make it look so easy.

Debi Duenkel: I would love if you said how many inches each ribbon is cut. Thanks for this demonstration. I love my Bowdabra.

jamie schallon: Boo, missed the live video, but watching it now... we’ve all been passing the nasty, ugly “crud” around and it finally hit me this past Friday evening, actually punch is more appropriate! Hope you’re feeling better soon, I’m blaming our roller coaster temps and the cedar/mold count for a part in the rotten awful feeling, here in Austin, Texas. Thanks so much for sharing this video, your bows are always gorgeous, and I’ll take all the tips I can get! ❤️

Charlene Sea: I would love to win! Been fighting this virus for 3 weeks!

Darlene Groleau: Love your bows

Kaaren Armstrong: Yes, my first You Tube on how to use the bowdabra. Watching any video I can find.

Marilyn Vick: I want to learn to do one regular bow using bowdabra

Sharon Brenhaug: Well I missed the live again ugh. Oh well at least I can see how to make bows. I got the big bodabra and the small one. I used them a little but wasn't sure if I was doing them right. It's not really as easy as you make it look unless I'm making more out of it than it is LOL.

Kathy Jones: Love my bowdabra

Barbara Weeks: Thanks so much.

Kathy Jones: So pretty

Sharon Brenhaug: I want to win. (Blue) Southern Oregon

Barbara Weeks: When do you have the live videos?

Leslie Flores: I got the big Bowdabrah then I couldn’t resist and got the small Bowdabrah.

carolyn white: love split screen

Kathy Jones: Kathy from Raleigh, NC

Kathy Jones: Hi

C Taylor: Replay - NC
