Easy To Make Diy Hair Bows With The Bowdabra

Hi everybody I'm sandy Sandler the creator of the bowdabra bow maker. When a thank you so much for joining me today. We'Re gon na do hair bows, so we're gon na make a whole bunch of different hair bows and I'm just trying to get everything set up. So I can see your comment and we're gon na start by actually making a ribbon, which I know those of you who watched me. A lot know that I like to do this, so I'm taking this really pretty um white ribbon and then I have this. Is our bowdabra rhinestone mesh and I'm gon na take my peel and stick which I love using because now I'm just all I'm gon na do is take the peelings deck and pull this along hi Edna and just put that there and then all I do is Pull back, it's easier said than done. I just need to pull back the. Let me just really make this tight, okay and kind of oh there. We go just pull back the tape and, what's so cool about this, is you don't need the iron all you do and it's machine washable. So all you have to do is lay now my mesh on top of my white ribbon and I'm just pressing it and it really fuses. Well, we tried to take a bow apart today that I had fused together and it wasn't having it so now what I'm gon na do is take my bowdabra, and I mean there just take some bowdabra bow wire and hi Wendy from Louisiana whoops gosh. I am not having a good day, you know, taking two weeks off and being sick, I'm like a mess today, so just getting back into my routine, and I want to thank everybody for your well wishes when I was out - and I hope that you enjoyed the Lies with Nick so now what I'm gon na do as take the front of my ribbon and scrunch that down fold it back over and scrunch that down and then scrunch it in here and then I'm gon na do exactly the same thing. So take the front of the ribbon and just scrunch that down and by doing the peel and stick it keeps everything together, so we're just gon na scrunch this down and come back over and also please share with your friends. I love when you guys share our videos, because it's kind of like your my marketing department. So now I'm gon na take these little flower roses and I'm just gon na bend the stem back a little bit there and then take my bowdabra bow wire and pull this through and pull it out separate the ends, bring it around to the back and tie It off tie another knot and now I'm just gon na fluff it out, and I used a wire ribbon in my base, which I really like, because it lets me fluff and then just kind of fluff. My roses and I have a clip or - and you know, I'm gon na - make this into a ponytail holder. So all I'm gon na do is just pull this through here and pull it tight and then just knot it. So it's super super simple whoops. I think I'm gon na double knot that and that's what they like about the bowdabra bow wire, because even it's really strong, but it's easy to use and it's a wire. And so now I mean, I think this would be really nice even for a prom and hair bows are so in now, so it's not sweet. So give me some love. Let me know what you think about it. What'S cool about the hair bow tool is just kind of slips right over so you can measure, but for this one I don't need. I don't need it. So I have my ribbon here. I'M just gon na fold it in half now I've already dubbed held the ends. They were just gon na up need my wire. So I wonder why I'm not seeing your comments. Sorry, you guys I'm just looking over here to see if I can see the comments, but I'm not seeing them so Remy. Can you read the comments to me? Well yeah. I mean as many as you can so fold. I'M just gon na scrunch this down in here and I'm already dubbed till the end ends, and then I'm going to take this piece here and put the wrong side down. I'M gon na just bring it back around and definitely say I want to win. Are we getting a lot of? I want to wins: oh good, okay and I'm gon na scrunch this little piece of tulle right down into the center and take my bowdabra bow wire, pull this through and I'm gon na pull it tight. While it's still in my bowdabra bring it out, I'm gon na separate the ends, bring it around to the back, and all I'm gon na do is just tie a knot and then I'll take the end of this, and I'm just gon na tie it around my Ponytail holder, so it's super simple and I guess I'm doing fancy ones now, but we're gon na get into less fantasy in a minute, so we'll just cut this or kind of more fun. And so you just have this really cute super simple little bow and I'm not sure why I'm not seeing the comments. Things aren't really working well today, so Remi. So now I'm going to put this one aside and well do a really fun sort of a spring here about it's almost spring and the weather. I know a lot of you are in like the north country, I'm going to try one more time to see. I guess Facebook is being fidgety on us today, okay, so I'm gon na use my gold bowdabra bow wire. So just in case you missed it we're going to be giving away today. This really pretty David Tutera ribbon and all you have to do is I want to win and we'll be picking a winner at the end of the show. Swiping left not working. Usually this works, so I'm not sure but live and learn. So now I have this really pretty: it's sort of a sunflower, the a Daisy's, not sunflowers, really pretty Daisy ribbon, and then this really pretty butterfly ribbon and I'm just gon na put in on top and then I'm going to take my Daisy ribbon and we're just Gon na make a loop and I'm gon na fold this - I the clock fold this over and again put this down. So I know a lot of you came on last week and we're looking for a hair bows, but I, if you didn't know I was sick for a while. So, let's see I want the butterflies, oh, they go different directions anyway. So I'm just gon na take the right side of the ribbon and put that down. Take the right side of the ribbon put fat in scrunch that in and then I have these fun Corker ribbons and I get my Corker ribbons, I'm already made so they're already like glue. How do you make care of us for newborns? Well, you can make I'll do one for you, so just stay tuned and we'll definitely make one and we have a lot of them on our website at bowdabra, dot-com and then just click on tutorials blog. We have a lot of baby hair bows there. I'M going to bring this around to the back, but basically I mean a trick for newborns is do exactly what I'm doing, but just make it smaller, and you see that I'm doing all of these in the mini bowdabra, and I won't tie this onto a ponytail Holder because we've already done that twice so I know you guys know how to do that, and I want to get through as many bows today as I can, but isn't that fun and I'm not even getting to see the comments or the likes or it's like How one so it's so fun to see all you guys out there so, but I'm having fun anyway, making the bows so oh yeah, well that's kind of what we did here. This was a we did this at the beginning, and then we did another one here, which was for the ponytail, but we'll do another one, because this could also be a pony. You could tie this on to a scrunchie or a ponytail holder um. I forgot my measurer today so, but this I would say this is about 10 inches and then this one was maybe 10 inches, and this was probably 8 inches. So, okay, let's go on to the next foot. Okay, this would be a good one for a little baby, but the only thing is: I need a headband and I don't think I have somewhere. I do, but oh, oh here we go, I have a head dad do i. I thought I had a head done in here. Sorry guys: oh yeah, I do there's a head baby, so we'll make this bow first and put it on a headband and then I'll make that one. So I want to be able to show you a really fun one for a baby, so this is with the rhinestones sorry, but I've got this all organized, so you guys don't have to watch paint dry when I'm doing my lives. So now I'm going to take my silver bowdabra, bow wire and also um. I know a lot of you have already shared and I just appreciate it so much when you share so I'm gon na fold this down, tuck it underneath and now I have these two pieces of tulle and that's about a yard each and so actually you know And I'm gon na make this in the big bowdabra, because the tool is going to be a lot to put in the mini, so I'm gon na fold. This in half lay this and this would be a really keep Oh for a newborn, so tuck the ends underneath and then I have I'm going to just take my tool and it's just kind of a sparkly tool and I'm just going to tuck it or scrunch. It into the bowdabra and then I'm going to take another piece of the tool and scrunch that into the bowdabra, and then I have this ribbon here I mean whoops. I don't want that yet I want this little piece and this is about probably about six inches long and we've just dubbed held the ends. So I'm just gon na put these in here and a missing one. Oh there, it is it's so sheer and put this in here and then I'm going to lay that in there and Remy is over here. Trying to help me make this work, but it's not working to where I can see the comments I'm going so, and these are the corker ribbon that I buy already core curd so and so no Remy. What did you do? I can't I can't do that right. Okay, so now I don't have any visual because Remy just came over here to be smart and it didn't work. So now I'm gon na pull this out. Yeah Remy. I can't believe you just shut me out. So, let's just pour this and tie knot and now I'm going to tie another knot and I'm actually, oh no, I don't have my phone okay, then what I'm gon na do for a little girl. I like these really soft woven and it works really well for a baby with no hair. So now what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na put this through where's my seam? What they do is I find the seam and they just put the wire through weave it through the seam and over the seam and then so that it won't bother a baby's head I'll, bring this back through here and bring it up and let's tie a knot And so basically then double knot it and then just gon na clip it, and then you have this really cute, so we'll just shape it out and bring out my puffy tool out and wouldn't that be just like so cute their babies had, I think, it's adorable. So let me see if I can: let's try this we're we're gon na give this a go nope, it's not letting me! Okay, we're C, let's like cross our fingers and the Sailor prayer so anyway, so I'm going to put this one away and I don't know, maybe you know what not now I'm trying to get to you guys. So now let's go on so these are all the bows we've made so far in case you're, just tuning in oh. I did have another headband. I thought I did so just in case you're just tuning in so now I'm oh yeah! I got the comments. Okay, now I'm really happy. Thank you ready! Okay! So now, oh, I was going to make a little baby bow. Another baby bow so I'm gon na take my silver bowdabra bow wire and we're gon na make we're gon na use an alligator clip, and I get these they're so cool these great alligator clips that are already covered in grosgrain. So you don't have to do the work, I'm very keen on trying to not do any extra work that I don't have to do when it comes to like gluing grow game. So I'm just gon na take a piece of my bow wire from Teague Texas Natalie. Thank you Eleanor! Thank you! Oh gosh, you guys, I felt so alone, not seeing the comments so I'll fold, this in half and lay it down and whoever suggested that we log out and log back in. Thank you so now. Oh this one! Okay! So this is just a really cute little ribbon, so all I'm gon na do here is just we're. Gon na make a little boutique bow and to fold it in half, and I'm just gon na take the leopard side and put it down. Then I'm gon na bring this back around just scrunch the wrong side down and then just leave the loop. Then I'm gon na take my other piece and I'm gon na. Do I'm gon na be under the camera. Here I want to do an X, then I'm gon na take the right side of the ribbon, bring it over here in between the towers of my mini bowdabra, the right side down and just scrunch that into my mini. Then I'm going to take my bottom loop and I should have put the hair bow tool on here, totally measure it, but it'll be close enough and then now put this in here. This ribbon is a very stiff rhythm. No, it's not it's! Just a really stiff, ribbon, hi Kara Sea from slay - is that slanting tintin Sylvania and put this here and where's my mini bowdabra wand. Here this just give everything a really good push and take my bowdabra bow wire I'll, just pull it through the Slipknot, pull it out and bring it around to the back and so high Sherri hi Chrissy, kay Edna. So all I'm doing here is I'm just taking my wire and wrapping it around the alligator clip a few times until it minutes here and then I'm gon na take this one do the same thing and then just tie a knot. Let'S pull it really tight. First, and so now, the top of my alligator clip is here, and I'm just going to bring it here and tie a knot and double note it, and actually, because it is a wire you could just twist it and it would stay and you could put just A little piece of glue a little bit of like a sod or a glue dot there, and then you have this really cute little hair bow, so so super simple to make and we still have lots more so stay tuned and also please share with everybody. If there, if you know anybody who has little girls, Oh so as promised, we're gon na make a Jojo bow, and this one I'm going to use my big bowdabra for just so, you can see better what I'm doing and this ribbon is so cool. I bought it on Amazon and it comes in all of these like gorgeous colors and it's not expensive. I think we have a link to where you can get it, and so now I'm going to take some bowdabra bow wire. Oh, my goodness, my whole roll is coming unwound. Okay! So now I'm gon na just fold this in half and lay it down into my bowdabra tuck. The ends underneath hi, Paulo you can go to Hobby Lobby should have the mini bowdabra and also, I think I have about 54 inches of ribbon. Just so you know, and it's a three two and a half or three inch wide ribbon. So I'm gon na start here and I've got this piece because you want that piece that will go up in the Jojo bow. So this one's going up and basically it's just a big bow twist it and bring it back. So I want to twist it totally to make sure that the wrong side of my ribbon is on the inside of my loops. Oh, I was going to tell you Michael's Hobby Michaels has pretty much everything Hobby Lobby. You can get the mini bowdabra in our bowdabra store, of course, if it's more convenient, definitely Michaels and Hobby Lobby, and I believe you can also get it online at Walmart, calm and just have that one little piece and I've already clipped the end, and I already Sealed it with fire, so I didn't want to do that on the live, and I put this through here I mean with a lighter that sounds really weird. It was fire. Oh Karen said she loves my bows. Thank You Natalie. I love this ribbon. I think it's so pretty. All of these ribbons are just gorgeous. I think that and and they're you know just they're really stiff, so they'll hold up really well and then I have a piece or I had a piece. Oh here we go of this little pink trim that I'm just gon na bring around to finish it off, and I'm gon na just put this here get my wire out of the way cuz. I want to wrap my wire around it. Let me show you what I'm doing here, so I'm just gon na take the two pieces cross them and then take my wire and I'm just gon na tie a knot and you could use like a saw or something if you're, if you want to just give It that extra hold, but the wire works really well now cuz. This is such a big bow. I'M going to put this on a bigger clip, and so for this clip. What I'm gon na do is just bring this through here, and I would my I might. I use the wire to pull this on here, but you could also glue it on with a hot glue gun, but you want something that's going to really hold, which is why I like the wire and the hot glue gun, would work too and then what I'll Do is just bring this around I'm going to bring this around and under and back around, so it'll be really tight and I'm going to do the same thing with this side, they'll bring it around and under and back around, and then I'm just going to nod It and bring it around here. It does take a couple minutes, but it's worth it because you want your bow to be the clip to be really tight on the bow. So there we go and it's right in the center when you do it, that's why and then I just clip my ends: hi Brandi hi, you guys! Oh and you know what this happened - that's really cool, so I'm gon na show you guys. I don't know if you're gon na be able to totally see this, but this is what makes the wire really strong. Is it has this nylon filament, which makes it very strong, but it has a little tiny wire. So that's what makes it like a wire. So I just thought: if anybody was interested about how our wire works and then you have this really cute little Jojo bow that and you can put in their hair. This ribbon is a grosgrain and it's a swirly star. I think Terry, do you have the you have the links that you can put up for this and then also these other ribbons which are so gorgeous, and I even have this really cute I'll make a little puppy bow. So I'm gon na just take oh, and I even have perfect Corker ribbon here to use I'm just kind of cleanup gosh I make such a mess. The Corker written there's a link, it's it's called Corker ribbon, but I have a link to where I buy it and Terry. I think we'll put it up because it's already Corker her curled, because it's such a pain have to get a dowel like you can make it yourself if you're really into doing it yourself, but it's so inexpensive to buy. I mean I get a whole big thing: whoops, okay, but I get a whole big thing and it comes in all different color and everything which is kind of cool. So now what I'm going to do is take my water and just fold this in half. Thanks for putting that up, bowdabra and then now, I'm gon na take the right side of my turbine. Isn'T this the cutest and scrunch this down in here, but all of these ribbons, I'm using right now are a grosgrain ribbon so and which are great. That'S what people like to use for hair bows and then I'm just going to take this and just scrunch the middle in and then take my Corker ribbon and I'll lay the pink first and then the purple, because this one's a little longer and take my mini Bowdabra and just scrunch everything in Oh Lindy, Lindy Lyman. I hope I'm pronouncing your name correctly. Lindy you're the winner, so you're gon na get this really pretty roll of David Tutera pink ribbon, which is great for hair bows. So you should be able to get everything at Michaels and then with this one you could tie it onto a ponytail holder or you could just take the wire and tie it onto your puppy's collar. But if this is a cute for a little girl as well, so I'm just gon na tie the wire onto a ponytail holder, and let me not it one more time, oops and clip it, and there you have this adorable little bow gosh.
