Hi this is Laura with ribbon and bows MI and today we're going to make a fluffy boutique bow using two and a quarter. Grosgrain start by folding your 30 inch lengths of two and a quarter ribbon. One inch down from the ends use your thumbnail to make a visible crease moving to the loop created at the bottom, make a crease here and then repeat this step with the next set of loops at the bottom of this loop. These creases will help you keep your ears evenly spaced. When you go to fold your bow, starting at the rightmost edge of your ribbon, take your first crease from the right and angle it down 60 degrees. On top of the adjacent crease hold this move tight and then repeat this step with the next available crease on the left mirroring the angle. On the other side, you can clip this in place of an alligator clip which is helpful if your ribbon is especially soft. Looking to the length of ribbon is facing diagonally down to the right fold, your end under to create an open loop. Finding your crease send that crease directly between the V created at the top of your first two loops. This will help you keep your bows centered skip this crease between the layers you have created not behind not on top, but over the bottom layer and under the top two layers scoot this length of ribbon about an inch into the center of your bow and then Clip the other side in place with alligator clips flip over and make sure your loops are running parallel to one another. At this point, if they are not, it's usually easier to start over than attempt to correct, we like using one piece of ribbon over and over as our practice piece, so we're not wasting new ribbon to get our moves right. So, looking down over you bro, you want to make sure that the loops look, even in symmetrical already now to keep all of your work in place, run a straight pin horizontally through the very center of the bow making sure to grab all four layers. Remove your clips and get ready to crease, so our bow is made with two peaks in one Valley, with the top and bottom edges: folded up start by sending your pin backwards and create one peak above the pin and one peak below or one peak to the Left of the pin and one peak to the right, using your zip tie since close enough to keep your loops together and scoot it towards the center of your bow. Do not cinch all the way. Just tighten up to keep your work in place and to be able to still fit a covered alligator clip into the back. Taking your alligator clip run behind your bow between the bow and the zip tie, adjust the zip tie, bringing the zip tie not to the back make any final adjustments to your loops before pulling the zip tie tight glue your Center by starting inside the alligator clip Wrap around the front of your bow at least once twice for added security before gluing down inside of the alligator clip and you're all done as ever find the biggest selection of the best USA made grosgrain I've ribbon in bozo my comm there.
