WINTER THEMED HAIR BOW

Sandy begins the project on mini Bowdabra with a pretty dovetailed snowflake ribbon (10” long). She tops it with a silver scrunchy ribbon (24” long) and inserts another 11” printed dovetailed ribbon over it tucking in the ends and scrunching it down the middle. She inserts another 10” long silver ribbon (1 and ½ inches wide) in a similar fashion. Lastly, Sandy tops it with some Bowdabra Silver Rhinestone Mesh strips and ties it all to a ponytail holder, spreading the tails and loops to finish the beautiful scrunchy ribbon bow.

PRETTY BOUTIQUE HAIR BOW

Sandy starts with two ribbons, pink printed and green (26” long and 1.5” wide). She scrunches them in X pattern making four equal loops. She ties it all, separating the loops to finish the bow that can be tied to a ponytail holder or a beret for little girls.

CUTE CHEER-THEMED BOW

Beginning the project with a dovetailed golden ribbon (11” long and 2.5” wide), Sandy tops it with a printed ribbon 9” long. She scrunches another golden dovetailed ribbon (14” long and 2.5” wide) making loops and inserts another printed ribbon 5 and ½ inches long making loops. The pretty little bow can be tied to headbands.

PRETTY MUSIC-THEMED HAIR BOW

Sandy starts with a black ribbon (17.5” long) that scrunches with an equally measuring musical printed ribbon. She uses another black ribbon (23” long) with twist and turn method making a mountain up down the middle and loops tucked in. She scrunches in two red ribbons (5” long and 1.5” wide), cut with pointed ends. She adds two bead strips and ties it all to finish the beautiful musical bow. The bow can be tied to a ponytail holder.

BLUE AND SILVER HEADBAND BOW

For this project Sandy inserts a green headband in the mini Bowdabra tool and tops it with some green mesh ribbons (8” long). She scrunches a green peck over it and tops it with some more green mesh. In a last step, Sandy tops it with some blue and silver ribbons (6” long). She ties it all to complete the blue and silver bow that can be tied to a headband.

BEAUTIFUL PEACOCK HAIR BOW

Sandy scrunches two black dovetailed ribbons (7” long and 2.5” wide) and tops it with a green wired ribbon (24” long and 6” wide). She then scrunches a peacock ribbon (11” long and 2.5” wide) over it making loops. Lastly, she adds two strips of Bowdabra rhinestones to it and spreads the loops and tails to finish the beautiful bow tying it all with the bow wire.

Hi everybody I'm sandy Sandler the creator of the bowdabra bow maker, and they want to thank you so much for joining me and wish everybody a happy 2019. So today, we're gon na make some really fun. Hair bows, I'm gon na start with one using our bowdabra scrunchie ribbon, which, if you write in I want to win you'll, have an opportunity to be chosen as our winner of a roll of bowdabra scrunchie ribbon at the end of the live. So I'm just gon na hit mine over here and hope. It comes up. I'M gon na take my bowdabra bow wire fold it in half and lay it down into my mini bowdabra. Then I'm gon na take this really pretty it's like a snowflake ribbon and let's see I have 18 2010 exactly 10 inches, it's gon na fold it in half. I have the center and scrunch that down into my bowdabra and they've already dubbed held the ends and I'll show, don't have those hi. I'M sorry who says Kelly. Oh hi Kelly, you know what I'm gon na try to get this up here, so I can actually see the comments. Maybe okay hold on I'm working on this. You guys, let's go to I'll deal with that in a minute. Okay. So then, I'm gon na take my bowdabra scrunching ribbon and I have got about 24 inches of it and all I'm gon na do is just punch it down into my mini bowdabra. So did you guys do anything special for the holidays, anything fun for New Year's? It'S a high awesome. I can't hear you Miami hi Tammy. How are you happy new year? So I'm just going to scrunch all that down in there. Then what I'm gon na do is take another piece which is it's about 11 inches, and I'm going to this is the right side. So I'm gon na take the right side of my ribbon and put it down facedown into my mini bowdabra. Then I'm gon na fold it back around and put the other side face down in my job. Then I'm gon na just I what I think it's a blip, let's put this back down in here, I'm gon na. Just I. What I think is the middle and I'm going to scrunch that down. I'M gon na take my wand and just scrunch it all down in here says hello. Everyone hi, Laura thanks for joining us and Happy New Year. So now I have a one and a half inch ribbon and it's 10 inches long, and this is the right size. So I'm gon na put the right side down fold it back over and put the right side down again. So I have a loop and then I'm just gon na go in the center here. Scrunch it all down, and I have our bowdabra rhinestone, so I'm just gon na put a little piece of a rhinestone in there. This is basically how I made my hat, but today, if you missed the preview and then just take this piece and put that down in the middle and do one more scratch for good measure and I'll take my wire bring this back up here. Mylene says hello and happy named: go it through the slip, knot, hi, Marlene, Happy New Year and pull it really tight? Oh - and I want to thank everybody who joined me, New Year's Eve for our watch party that was so much fun Jeannie and que el paseo sandy hi, Jeannie, hi Qiao, hope you guys had awesome, um, New Year's and Gayle. I saw that ultimate, you posted. Oh, my goodness, I'm so gorgeous! So now I'm just gon na shape everything. Then you can just tie this on to a ponytail holder and just pull it through. Here, tie it off and I'm not in an onyx. I'M gon na have to reuse the pony's people there for some other boat, but isn't that just so simple simple to me so now I am going to go on to our next put this one aside, fill my ponytail holder back and we're gon na make a Really cute and then try to use the mini bowdabra a lot today, because I know a lot of you have the me Mia, not the regular, but everybody that I'm making in the mini. You can also make in the big bowdabra you just might have to make it a little bit bigger. Y'All said thanks sandy and genius. It'S super cute Tammy! So cute! Oh awesome thanks! You guys! You know. I'M Troy here bear with me for one minute because I'm just trying to get to our so I can actually watch what we're doing up here. We go okay, perfect. So this way, maybe I can see the comments so now I'm going to take my bowdabra bow wire. I'M gon na cut a piece and you guys don't forget to say you want to win so that you can win um, maybe a roll of their down or scrunchie ribbon. So I'm just folding that half and laying it into my mini bowdabra and then I have two pieces here that are one enough inches wide and 26 inches long. So I'm just going to take my ribbon and folded in half. So I have the middle make sure these are exactly the right length, so I'm gon na find the center and then I'm going to lay it upside down into my mini bowdabra cuz. This is how we make a boutique hair bow in the mini bowdabra. So here I'm just gon na fold, this back hello, hi Debra. I don't know why I'm not seeing the comments here but anyway, so I'm gon na fold this back here and again, I'm gon na put the right side down just like we did in the last bed that we made, but what's different with this one is now. I'M gon na make an X over this loop and bring these around and just again take the right side and put that down into my mini bowdabra. Then I'm gon na take my lower loop here and I'm just gon na scrunch that into my mini bowdabra. Then I'm going to come back over here and take the top one. So I've made a little X there and scrunch that in and as you can see, we've got four are pretty equal loops here. So that's kind of the trick and then scrunch it all down. Bring this back through, pull it through my Slipknot hold it tight up still in the bowdabra, pull it out, separate the ends and bring it around to the back, and let's just tie this off, and I'm not - and I could tie this on to a ponytail holder Or I could put it on a clip of rat, but how super simple is that to make for a little girl and how cute? So I hope you guys like it now we're gon na go on to our next tear about, and you can see I'm still going crazy here, because I want to see Jeanne says love that Oh Jeanne. Thank you now. You guys might not know this, but Jeanne goes on our bowdabra fan, gallery and posts more bows and reefs, and oh my gosh, so many really really cool projects. So please, if you're, not already a member of our bowdabra fan gallery, please join us on Facebook. Tammy says pretty, Thank You Tammy. So now we're going to recess to do you use wired or regular ribbon to make um. I you can do either like this. I believe this isn't wired. So this is a grosgrain, but it's not a wire green. Where is this ribbon that I'm, using with it is wired the difference between a wired ribbon and a non wire? Is the shaping of it? It'S much easier to make a wired ribbon go the way you want it to, but if you follow the instructions that we have our app or in all of our how-to projects that we have on vogue, Abra blog, calm, then you'll you'll be able to. You know make them with any kind of ribbon, so it really doesn't matter. It'S kind of what you feel like would be the best look for the bow that you're making so now Jeannie said. Thank you and Donna, says hello, oh hi, Donna and Donna. Where are you watching us from so now? There is, let's see this is 11 inches long by two and a half inches and they've already dubbed held the ends. But let me just show you how we ducked out we're gon na fold our ribbon in half, and all I'm going to do is cut at an angle towards the fold, and that gives you the really cool little dovetail. So I have to get my bowdabra as my motto: oh wow, oh did you love didn't Jeannie made you that chest of drawers that was so awesome. I bet you were really surprised. So I'm gon na fold this in half and lay it down into my mania. Bowdabra G ancestor gene says finally found you, oh cool, all right. I wish I could see. Oh I don't know why I'm not seeing on this you guys, but anyway, I just have to rely on Michael to tell me what's going on so I'm gon na fold. This in half and then just kind of scrunch the middle and lay that down into the mini bowdabra, and then I have this piece here and we're just gon na kind of cut it at an angle and I'm gon na do the same thing. On this side. Someone passed well-being for today was today is hermos winter winter themed, hair bows. So since it's football - and I heard I'd, go Clemson earlier, we're gon na make a really cute super simple little cheer themed about. So we have just a tail there. Oh, you guys probably want to know how long Michelle says: hello, nine inches, hi Michelle thanks for joining us and Happy New Year. So I'm going to this one is about 14 inches by trimming the half inches. So I'm going to just now take the right side and put it upside down, so I'm going to make a little loop here, bring this back around and do exactly the same thing. Take the right side of my ribbon put it upside down, and so you can kind of see a theme of how easy all of these are. Then what I'm going to do is just we call this kind of our mountain up, so you can sort of see. I'M making a little mountain in the middle and then I'm gon na push it into the mini bowdabra is very good. I have two granddaughters who need hair bows. Oh awesome. Now this is gon na, be a lot of hair bows that you you can make cuz. We'Ve got a whole bunch of them and then now this last piece is about five and a half inches. So again, I'm gon na take the wrong side and put it upside down, and I'm gon na come back around and make my loop coming back here and then I'm gon na send direct and again I'm gon na. Do my little mountain up and, like I mentioned earlier, this is lepsy Daisy to make sure I put enough ribbon in there, so it stays there. We go, and this is a grosgrain that I'm using here I'll just scrunch everything down. So it is not wire. You guys thanks so much for joining me. It means a lot to me that you take your frog for your Friday. Your Monday afternoon. I don't know about you guys, but with the two short weeks. I still can't get my days straight. So now I'm just gon na tie a knot, and this we thought would be a really cute little headband, so I'm just gon na take my head down now. How I tie these on to headbands, especially for little girls. Is I go to the seam of the head back and then I'm gon na put my wire through one side right on the on the side of this the theme I can pull that through there there we go and then I'll just click this and then I'm Going to take it and I'm gon na take the same piece of wire and bring it back over on this side of my seam. So this way they got turned inside out there. This way, when I tie off my my headband that knot is not against the little girl's head genius, I'm watching, Oh Jeannie! Thank you so much. I love that you always watch and comment and everybody that shares just means so much to me. So now I'm just going to shape this and you have a really like how super simple and it just makes a really cute little headband. So what do you guys think so now I'm gon na put this aside and take this my ponytail holder and we are going to make a pretty music themed, hair bow and now I'm gon na take my bowdabra tool and roller, and this works is a great Measuring tool for the mini bowdabra, unfortunately, we don't have one yet for the big bowdabra, but I promise you. It is on the agenda for this year. So, what's so cool about it? Is it slips right over, but the springs in the mini bowdabra still work, so it works just like don't have thus on. But now you can measure Jamie, says beautiful. Jamie says perfect. Colors thanks, you guys and Kelly, says I love in ress, cute Brennan, says so cute also black and gold Norland. Oh there you go so we're gon na fold, this in half and lay my wire and I just tuck it under my bowdabra just like regular and now I'm going to take - and this is about 17 and a half inches, and I've already cut just an angle. I'M just as cute and Polly says: yes go sings, so now I'm going to just scrunch that in there - and I have this tail here, which is about 15 and a half inches and that's what size of yr do you use I'm using this is our big Abra bow wire and what's really cool about. This is one of the things that was really important to me when I designed the wire was that it was really really strong and I'm really. This is very, very strong, but if you had a wire this thin, then it would break so what we did I'll kind of give you a little behind-the-scenes here is we have a really thin wire that would break if it were the only thing, but then we Also have this nylon filament, so that gives it the strength, but also allows it to be very easily cut with scissors. So you don't need you can tie knots. You can tie a bow. You don't need needlenose pliers, which was something that always bothered me when I had to use like a regular wire or a floral. I love, and I can just use my scissors and cut it, but then it won't break when I'm pulling it really tight. So here we have a this is a grosgrain ribbon and then I have this really pretty musical. I'M just gon na fold this in half, because this is going to be another tail and just lay this down in here kind of even them out and then I'm gon na take now this we have 20 whips 23 inches, so we've just already cut the ends. Now, if you want, you can use now pop clear nail polish, and so here, I'm just gon na. Do my mountain up and scrunch that down, then I'm gon na measure this coming back, because I want it to be right at the little seven and then one side we have inches in one side we have centimeter so on this one, I'm using the centimeter side. So that's gon na go right to the seven and again I'm interview many mountain up and then I'm gon na fold this back now you know what let me show you something. So can you make a several layer, though, as well bit? Sorry, maybe four layers? Oh, absolutely in fact we're gon na be doing more layers here. So no, if can you explain? Laurie, though, are you looking for several layers or you do like a whole bunch of loops of one ribbon and then a whole bunch of loops of another ribbon, or are you looking for just different layers, because we're gon na still do a couple more layers in Here, oh yeah we made Michael, was just reminding me. We have a bow that we made, which is like the teri, though so here I'm gon na, do my little mountain op. You know I'm gon na make sure that it's at the seven which it is so now my two loops are equal and I'm gon na just scrunch that in and I'm gon na use my wand just to give everything a good push. Now I have, or I said awesome think, there's time to make one and then um here's. This is a one and a half inch wide ribbon and it's five and a half inches long. I'M gon na fold this in half and here's my Center, I'm just gon na scrunch that down in there and I'm gon na take this one, which is exactly the same and scrunch it when we just cut a pointed end. Instead of a dovetail on this and then we're starting to put a lot of stuff in the menu here, but no problem it'll hold it. So what was it Laurie that was asking about that seem too similar to teri bows, but with alligator clips? Oh okay got ya well yeah, and I would probably do that in as a are you looking at a big like a bigger bow or are you looking at because sometimes when we say you know some people talk about a big bow? I like this. I would consider a big hair bow, but other people might consider this just small, especially what I find is my Texas. Ladies. They, like I'm big they're, always like. No, we do big hair bows down in Texas, so I kind of need to know what size you're talking about so that we can make something like that. Whups we've got too much stuff here in my mini, so I'm just gon na kind of cheat to pull that down there. I'M gon na take my wire and now again, I'm gon na pull it through the Slipknot. I'M gon na hold my boat tight, while it's still in the bowdabra pull it out separate my ends, bring it around to the back and then I'm gon na tie a knot. So when you're, when you're talking Laurie about, I just want to make sure I understand. Oh, my goodness, they deliver from the lasso like a seven inch or larger similar to the size of a jojo's Sevilla. Okay, absolutely you can do that. I would do it, though, in the big bowdabra versus the mini bowdabra, but absolutely a hundred percent. You can do that, so, let's just bring this all around to the front here these down and then you could just tie this onto a ponytail. I can make sure okay tie this onto a ponytail holder, and it makes a really really cute stylish hair about so now. This would be about the size of just a regular on what you're referring to would be like a Jojo bow, but a Jojo bow is more like the boutique bow which this like the boutique bow or more like a pinwheel bow. So we will definitely do I'm not sure if we have in a couple of weeks, they're doing a large area. Oh yeah, Oh exactly! You know what Michael's right in two weeks so, two weeks from today, the topic is going to be large hair bows. So I will make sure that we make one like what you're asking for. I hope so I'll definitely do that for you, so we'll basically make it kind of a a cherry bow and a judge about so G nice incentive super cute. Thank You genie! So now, let's see, what are we gon na do next? I think we'll do this one. So this one they don't need the hair about oil and then the hair bottle is great. But when you're doing really like a bigger bow, the hair bow tool does take up a little space. So you can't make it quite as thick as you can. If you're not using the hair about well, but I love the tool for measuring when it has to be exact so now, I'm gon na take my headband we're gon na do something a little different with this one, I'm gon na use my silver copper spray bow We'Re gon na fold it in half and lay this down into my mini bowdabra and then just tucking. You can see I'm just tucking the ends underneath to keep them out of the way. Now, before it's a headband, if you want, you can put the headband in first and then just tie everything off together. It'S really your choice. I do do it both ways, and it really just depends on my mood if it is for a really little girl that might not have as much hair, then I will tie it on afterwards. So now I'm just gon na take these are our Vader brick mesh green wired ribbon, and these are eight inches long. All I'm doing is just laying them in and then I have this little pick. So this is a cool way to just use up your scraps. Lay the pick in and then I'm going to lay another piece of the mesh another piece of the mesh, and then I have this really cool. It'S like silver on one side and blue on the other. So I'm gon na just use this here, put the silver in there. Oh thank you Michael. I forgot it. So it's six inches and just cut in an angle on the ends and this ribbon just kind of shapes itself really cool. That'S it the blue side and the silver side, and let's just take my wand and Orange everything down here and are we almost to the point? I think we're almost to the point where we're about to pick a winner. So I'm assuming that we we do have bowdabra on there. So now, what I'm doing is I'm taking my my wire and just bringing it through, so it went through the inside of my head done and then taking my other piece of wire. I'M just gon na pull this through, pull it really tight, while it's still in my mini bowdabra, pull it out separate the ends. My lone says sheets. I set my Baker Devereau on top of two sewing: quilting rulers - oh very cool, that's a great idea! So now I'm just gon na bring this around so my so I'm tying it on to my headband and so now, when we just do one more knot, then I'm gon na clip it really close. So this is a a really easy way to just put your headband in and do it all in one step but, like I said, if I'm a super cute one Laurie says nice, one thanks. You guys well actually thank mikaël cuz, as you know, he's our designer. I have to give him credit, so here we go sorry who was the winner Laurie Laurie, Laurie, Laurie, okay, cool, congratulations, Lori! So there you go they're, not a cute little headband and how super simple Patricia says so cute Jenny says very pretty and Laurie says. Thank you thank you and Laurie Congrats. So now, let's do one more. I think we have time for one more yeah. We do, of course we do. Jenny, says no, never measured. I just eyeball it and Maria says Lovitz, ready, yeah. You know what Jeannie I'm pretty much the same way. I accept what I'm doing demos I never measure, but when I'm doing demos I like to measure because it makes it easier for anybody following along to recreate so now and like I said we're using the mini for everything today, so I'm gon na take you know What I want my gold bow wires. Marlene says cute. Thank you this over here and again you guys. Thank you so much for joining me and Michael, is that's wicked pet bells. Yes, so next week we're gon na is next week is Dress your pet week. So we're going to do, dress your pet bows and we've got some really cool ones for the bank, so I'm gon na take my bowdabra bow wire. Lay it down into my mini and again just tuck the ends, so they say out of my way, then I'm going to take a piece of this is seven inches by two and a half inches wide already dovetailed it. I'M just gon na fold it in half and scrunch it now. Also you guys, if you don't already follow bowdabra, please make sure you follow us, so you'll be notified when we go live and when we have new new things that come up. We'D really appreciate. So now I have my piece of tulle and if you have anybody that loves to dress their pets, please let them know about next week. I love that peacock repin. I did two apocrypha. I saw those reasoning they were gorgeous, so this is six inches wide and they already measured how long and forgot it's an 18 inches long dance. That'S great I'll! Take pictures of my female rescues with those, oh, so cool! That'S a great idea! In fact. I we donated a couple bow divers to a rescue shelter, so they could put bows on the dogs for adoption that down there, and then this is a chicken whoopsie Daisy. I think I'm gon na hold the same with my bowdabra, because the mesh wants to pop out so now this is two and half inches by twelve eleven and a half inches and again, I'm going to do the same thing where I'm gon na take the right Side of the ribbon put it upside down into me and you bowdabra, I'm just gon na fold. This back Marlene says I love that be popper. Thank you. Thank You, Marlene. I I think it's beautiful. They love it because it really. I think it works any time of year, so now I'm just gon na. Thank You Frances. You guys! Thank you so much and thanks for let see this is about two and a half inches and we just cut two strips out of our rice, bowdabra rhinestone mash. So I'm just gon na push this down here, hey this one and put it in here. Yes, that's a great idea all to Nicko's to build or rescuing. Yes, that's what a cute idea for adopting! Oh it is, I mean it makes it. The dogs are so cute anyway, but how can you resist like a bowtie on a little male dog and a real, pretty bow on a few male? So now he Napolitano says hi first time, how do I get a mini? Oh, you can go to bowdabra, calm and click on our store and we have the mini bowdabra for sale there. They also sell them at Michaels, so you can go to Michaels as well. So now I'm gon na just tie another knot, and now I'm gon na take this hat done and then we're gon na go right to this spot here and I'm just going to pull this through oopsy-daisy. I'M tie a knot here. I'M just says. Thank you. Of course, thank you guys. I got so many ideas from y'all, especially when you post in our bowdabra fountain gallery and if you're watching the replay. Please let me know and please join us for the live, so you can actually win the free roll abode. Amorous friends hear them so pull this up here, so see it's not like so cute and how super super simple, Jenny says: loved that Linda says: hi, hi, Linda and Jeannie. Thank you. So you guys, thank you so much for joining me again this week and, like we said next week is going to be. Your next word is dress your pet weight, so we're gon na do all kinds of really fun, even big pet bells and little pat bows, and maybe I can con vinny into into being a remodel. But I don't know I'm not, I'm not counting it too much. So anyhow, next week is going to be pets and the following week is big texas-sized hair bows. So we look forward to seeing you and again Happy New Year and thank you so much for joining me. Bye,
