How To Make Hair Clips For A Baby

Hi, I'm Jenny Lawson and I'm a milliner. I run the glam Hatter's Tea Party. Today, I'm going to be showing you how to make hair accessories. In this tutorial, I'm going to show you how to make baby hair clips. You will need some feathers, some sequins. These are called sleepy clips and some thread you can buy all of these in your haberdashers or you can have a look at our website and buy a glam Hatter's craft kit to make to make it up yourself. So we're going to start by decorating the ribbon because it doesn't look that nice the way it is at the moment. So I'm just going to cover the whole thing with sequins by stitching them on. If you're, not that keen on stitching you can glue them on it just looks much nicer with stitching and also if it's for a little baby, you really want something. That'S not going to what any pieces coming off. So, I would say sewing is the best. If you can so once you've covered the ribbon, you're then going to stitch it onto your clip. So you don't need to cut off thread, just keep hold of it and you're going to go into your clip, pull the ribbon onto it around the back of the clip and stitch up through the ribbon and then you're going to go down the other side. Now that you're, making it nice and secure and then stitch back through here and just across the clip, you part, so that's all nice, it's not going to move anywhere. Then you go to the back and you just do a double double stitch on the edge and then just loop back through your stitch, to keep it nice and secure and trim off the end.
