Okay, so what you're going to need to make your extensions are you're going to need your hair, so you'll have this hair like this, that you can buy? This is a 100 remy hair. It'S a 100 gram pack. It cost me 124, 95 and uh. It'S on a weft, so it means it's one, big long strand and we're going to custom. So this one is by euro prestige, it's number 22 and it's 20 inches long. You can see it's not quite my hair color, but i'm going to take it to my hairdresser. So that's fine, um you're going to need the thread in the same color as your hair extension, and this was two dollars. You need to clip um. The little clips that are in this package have a little silicone end on them. You can't really see that on the camera, but you can see that the clips looks like this and the silicone edges right along here. It'S just like a little tube and just snap okay, so you'll need some of those, probably about at least 15 or 20.. You need a pair of scissors and a needle the one thing about the needle. It'S just a regular needle. I mean they charge me a dollar for this needle, but i mean i probably had one at home just make sure the thread fits through it and make sure that it fits through every single hole on your clip because you're going to sew them on, and so That'S about all you need, i'm going to show you the weft and get the pack out without messing it up. Okay, so the hair comes like the lid, and now you can more see that it probably is not too bad. It'S going to blend into my hair. Pretty well like under here, you're, not going to notice the difference but, like i said, i'm going to go and get some color put in um. The hair comes on a strand like this. You can see right here. It'S all in one strand and it's pretty tied up good, so i'll, just cut that one big long bunch of hair and then basically we're going to cut this into strips okay. And so when i measured the last weft on my head. I have this much and that's for the third, the third from the bottom, and then i'm just going to have this much and then i'm just going to take this right here and you just cut it. You don't worry about. You know after you cut it. You'Ll have a couple strands that come out here. That'S not a big deal, and then you have your one. Normally, this would have probably been an eight inch, but this is probably more like a six inch for me. Okay, so what you want to do is you want to take the clip, and you see you line up the this very first hole on the clip up here at the top you're just going to line it up right on the edge so that whatever stitching spot You see it's like on a little track, you're going to put it right up on the top of the track like that, and then you're going to get your needle and thread, and i don't usually say this but start from the outside. Oh yeah make sure you got this clip on right, because if you haven't checked these, you might sew it on backwards. So don't do that? Okay, when you're first gon na do your first one grab up a little loop under here, so you can pull the knot to the front. Well, it's actually the back of the weft. So um then just go ahead and sew it right. One time each hole. You know don't be sloppy about it, do a half decent job, okay, and so then you continue you don't have to, and you could also hot glue this. You don't have to sew it if you don't want to get that in there come on okay, okay, so you just do all the top holes in the clip. I mean you don't just know where to secure these other holes on just don't try to do that. Whoops, careful of that okay and then you're, going to sew all the way across until the other side right here and then you're going to sew the other clip on right there and uh. That'S about it! That'S how you sew the weft! That'S how you sew the it'll. Look like that after okay. Well, i have someone helping me here to show you how to measure the weft for your head. So basically, what you want to do is just get a couple of these clips. Sorry, i just had one of my hair and you're just going to take the hair and leave a little bit on the bottom. This is where your first weft is going to start right here. So, basically, we're going to clip that up there and you're going to see right along this line right here, you're going to make your weft so that it's like about half a centimeter into the hairline on each side. So this is the hair extension, so you'll be able to see it really well measure it just like this by eye right there and then you'll just take your scissors and cut the weft right there, where you need it, the second one you do the same thing You say: okay, well, i need to have a layer right above this one. Of course, you'll make your layers a little nicer and maybe you'll get some help too. There you go. Thank you just put that up there please and then you'll do the same thing with this one. You place it just inside the hairline same thing. On the other side you come along, you cut the weft. You keep going until you have as many as you want. Now you know most of the companies are going to give you two eight inch pieces, maybe a a six and two fives or a five and a four and two for the side. So you have to decide what you want for yourself um. Basically, if you look around different companies like foxy locks or lucky hair, that's another company, hello glamour, gorgeous hello, gorgeous they're. All gon na give you an identification of the sizes that they use, and sometimes those don't fit your head like. For me, those sizes are too large, so it's best to make them custom and some people like to actually have two wefts of hair like if you have thick hair like i have fine hair. So i have to use only one layer, but if you have thick hair, you certainly could double this over see like that sew these two together and then you can see that you have a lot more hair that way, but even so, i only have two wefts In my hair right now, and then you can see that from before till now. Okay, let me just that they're very long and there's only the two layer bottom layers here and you can see how long my hair is compared to winter's hair here that this is not hair extensions, though this is actually real hair. So that's what you need to know about that. Okay! So here i am, and i have the extensions in now and you you can barely see the difference. I know you can see a bit that i have some dark undertones here, but after i go to the hairdresser, that's going to get fixed, but it looks really natural. It doesn't it's pretty tight. It'S not going to fall out. It'S really long, as you can see here, this is the 20. This is the 20 inch, and so now what i'm going to do is i'm going to take them out and show you what it looks like when i take them out. So i have one in here right here and they have one right over here and then i have, oh, my god, there's so many and then another one right back here. So, in the back in total, i have a double weft, which is the one where i told you that i sewed the two like these. This is a single weft and you can see it just has one layer, but the double one. If you make one - and you put the crown over your head, you actually have two of those wefts sewn together here on this strand, and then i have one more here at the bottom, so in total i i actually only have about six clips in my hair And this is oops. I forgot the last bottom one, sorry, okay and so oh about this little one up here, that's more than six sets one two, three, four, five, six, seven, seven! Okay! I don't think. Maybe i need a few more one clips, but this is my hair. Normally i have pretty fine hair, but it's nice to have it long sometimes and gives you a little bit of choice. So, okay, so, like i said i was gon na. Take my uh hair extensions to the hair dressers, and this is my girl right here: vanessa she's, gon na take care of me. So here you can see this is the front of before, and this is the back so uh what it looks like after the hairdresser kind of just blends it into my hair, and you can see that it looks really natural and you really couldn't tell that. That was extensions unless you know how long it is. It'S just a length basically that that gets people asking the question so anyways have a good time, making your own extensions and don't forget to see your hairdresser to make it look great okay, and so i also wanted to know tell you that if you happen to Have like this shadow underneath like a darker color underneath and you don't know because actually you know you can tell a little bit that it's not blending in with the rest of my hair, because there's no brown at the bottom. So what i got? What i did is i saved some leftover hair and i got my hairdresser to dye it the same color as my underneath and then i'll just cut little sections and sew them onto the existing one, and you only really need it at the bottom. So, and actually this is like, if you look at the if you look at the color of the underneath - it's like a perfect match, so i'll just sew in three or four of these, and that takes care of streaking. And if we make a mistake with this, we can throw it out and start again so, and so, if you wanted to make a shadow - or you know streaks on your extensions, all you would do is get your hairdresser to die. The color that you want or choose it in the hair, extensions already pre-dyed and just sew this little strip right onto here and then that's it. I hope you enjoyed go out and make some great hair bye.
