So today, we're gon na be talking about one of my favorite subjects: clip-in, hair extensions, which I've been using for years to make my hair fuller to style it to make it longer, and I'm gon na show Colette how she can do all of those things, but Primarily, focusing on what to do if you feel like your hair is a little thin if it's a little dirty and you want to add some volume and also if you have trouble heat styling, your hair and you want the styles to stay longer. Those are all good things to use clip in hair extensions for, and today we're gon na make Colette look like the diva she was born to be. Soco has a lot of hair. She has no problem with thinning hair, but this is good if you are losing your hair, especially if you've just had a baby. This is a fantastic way to kind of make yourself feel like yourself again until everything grows back in, but for Colette right here. She'S just got no fullness because she air dried her hair. So that's basically what we're gon na focus on so the way that you're gon na do this is you're just gon na part. Your hair and I use my fingers - it's just faster, but some people are probably much more methodical about how they do this, and I just put my hair up on the top of my head like this, so you sort of have to figure out the placement of Your hair and if you're, looking for fuller hair - and these are her exact length, so we're not going for length today, you're looking for fuller, hair you're gon na want to put them closer to the front right here, because that's where the fullness is gon na show And that's what makes you look like you have more hair, don't even worry about the back! If you're struggling for time, you can, if you get better at this, and you want to have even more glamorous hair, but today we're just gon na start easy. So you want to leave a little bit in front because that's what helps hide it. You'Re gon na grab like a good amount of hair and you're gon na tease it. The reason that you do this is because a it helps it stay in. If you don't do this, it slides down the shaft of your hair. I realize that sounds disgusting. I don't know how you would say that so you're gon na tease it like that and you basically that's good to know. We would take it here. Wouldn'T we so obviously that doesn't look cute, but it doesn't really matter. So what you do is you just keep teasing and the other reason that you do this is it makes it so that they don't hurt if it's your first time wearing clip in hair extensions? Sometimes they may give you just a little bit of a headache until you kind of get used to wearing them sort of like fake eyelashes. It'S gon na feel weird for a little bit and then the next thing you know you're like let you wear them every day, right girl. So this is, this is powder puff by Kevin Murphy, and this is a volumizing powder, and you can you literally just use this on your hair to get volume, but a lot of times, hairdressers on set and whatnot will use this to make it kind of stick. A little bit better, so you just put it there and again I'm just doing this so that the hair doesn't fall out cuz, that's not a cute! Look when you're out and about and I'll send your weave is sliding so just gon na put that clip. There turn your head and that clip there and you'll see that, because her roots are a little bit darker, it's obviously not a perfect match. You can take this to your hairdresser and get them to color to match your roots exactly, but I'm not super worried about it, because we are going to put her real hair on top of it. So that's one: let's do the other side, sometimes too. If you part to one side, you can put more hair on that side, so maybe like two clips on that side and one on here might look a little bit more natural because nobody has like a ton of hair like that. So you can do that as well. I'Ve ruined this girl, if you guys knew what she was like when we first met so low maintenance - and I don't know if I should be proud of this where's - that okay, sorry there you go where's that okay, so now. Obviously this one has like a little texture to it. I feel real pretty so again we're gon na put her own hair down starting to kill it Colette. Oh my god, I love when that happens. Now you have to cover like that and the more hair that you have on top the more they like you set aside of your own hair them easier, it's gon na cover, then what you do is you just basically style the hair. However, you want so you can straighten these if you want to blow dry them out I'll, take them put them in between my knees and then literally get a round brush that looks real gross I'll, get a round brush and just round brush them out with a Hairdryer and then they look like they've been blown out or you can like. I said straight them. If you want to style them on your own, you can use like clips from a skirt hanger clip them, hang them onto something and then style them that way or even stick them in your bathroom drawer, close the drawer and then style them that way, just little Tricks of the trade so yeah, so basically that's what you do and now we're gon na quickly style them for Colette you, okay! So now you can see we finish, styling Colette's hair and it was a little bit longer. The extensions were a little longer than in our actual hair, but, as you can see once we curled them not the case, they completely blended and that's what will happen so don't worry about that another trick if you're a mom on the go - and you don't mind - Buying two sets of clip-in hair extensions or just using one of the clips instead of stacking them. You can keep one straight and one curly and then the amazing thing about that is you just do your own hair. However, you want, even if it's dirty or whatever and then just clip in whatever style, you're going for you're good to go, especially since the front will always be done. So that's another tip. Another thing is make sure when you're styling it that you're grabbing pieces of your own hair, along with pieces of the extension hair and kind of doing it together, so that they start to blend all we did was curl all of our hair and then brush it Out this will stay in the extension here. For so long I mean I'm talking weeks, it's crazy how long it holds the style, especially if you keep them really nice. So I just had like a special drawer. I lay them out in the drawer and I'm good to go. They'Re always ready to go, so that's it for our clip in hair extension tutorial. If you guys like this video and want to see more videos like this, of course, give us that thumbs up cuz. We like that, give us a comment down below if you have any other tips, that I've missed on how to wear this style or how to use clip in hair extensions and, of course, for more videos like this subscribe.
