How I Use Clip-In Hair Extensions To Fill In My Thin Hair

I use Cashmere Hair clip-in hair extensions to fill in areas of my hair that are thinner and shorter than the rest of my hair rather than to add overall length and a ton of volume. In this video, I show you exactly how I do that. I only need a couple of pieces to fill in these areas which makes it so fast and easy to do my hair. You could use more or fewer pieces as needed for your hair. I also show how to use the tester piece to make sure you have the right color, and I explain what I do to have the extensions cut for my hair.

Hi there i got some new hair extensions, and so i wanted to show them to you and show you what i plan to do with them. So these are cashmere hair and they are the seamless clip hair extensions and 16 inch um in the color p. 1822 sunset blonde, so i'm going to show you how this works, so you get a package like this and you've got your hair extensions up here and down. Here is a tester piece so that you can make sure it's a good match for your for your hair, and so, if you get this and the you, the first thing you want to do is try out the tester piece, because if it's not a good match, Then you can return it and exchange it for a different color. If you open this section and you test out this hair and take it apart, you won't be able to return it. So you want to start out with a tester piece. So i'm going to show you how you do that, so you just open up and take out the little tester piece, it's a little two clip piece and i'm just going to take it out of the netting. So here is the tester piece. It'S just a two clip extension, and so you want to hold that up to your hair and see if it's going to be a good match, and you can even put it under your hair and just make sure that that's going to blend in with your hair And i'll just clip that in it's a lot longer than my hair, but - and you can see it's a perfect match for my hair - i'm i mean it's exactly the same color, so i already knew that this was a good match, but i just wanted to show You how you do that and then i'm going to show you the other wefts that are included, and so you can see on the back here. It has a sticker, so it says, cannot return or exchange if opened so make sure you test out the color with the tester strip, because if that doesn't work then you just put it back and you can contact them about exchanging or returning okay. So i know it's a good match and i want to keep it so i'm going to open that up and you can see it leaves a little of the sticker, so they will know if you open it. Okay, it just comes like this, and it comes with some extra clips just in case any of them come loose. Okay, so let me show you the wefts that it comes with look at this hair. I wish y'all could feel it it's so soft and silky prettier than my own hair for sure. Okay, so i'm just gon na open these okay. So we have one and i'll put in the notes exactly the dimensions of these, but i've got four more um. Two clip wefts, so that gives me a total of five and i'm going to use these to you. I'M going to use these for my ponytail when i do a ponytail, i like to add the extensions in, and i have a a video on that you can go check that out and so that's what i'm going to use these for. So i don't really have to do anything with these and then i have three more wefts and they're all three clips with different lengths and i will put the exact length of those in a text box. So that's what these are, and my plan with these is i'm going to use them to fill in. My hair on the sides is thinner and doesn't really grow, and so i use these to fill in on the sides here and it just fills in that area and i'm going to go today. I have a hair appointment. I'M going to get these cut to my length here and then, when they're done, i will come back and show you what i did and how they look and i'll put them in my hair. So you can see how i do that so anyway, i will be back. I'M back. I got my hair done and i'm going to show you what i did with the extensions. So there are five two clip pieces and three three clip pieces of varying widths. So for two of the two clip pieces, i had them cut to my length and i will put these on and show you how i do that for two of the three clip pieces, i actually had cut off one of the clips off of the end and Made two one clip pieces, and these are what i use. If i do my hair up like um half up. I use these here to fill in and i will show you that as well. So that leaves me with um three of the two clip pieces that i will use for my ponytail, and it leaves me with a couple of the three clip pieces that now are two clip pieces, because i cut off one of the clips and then i cut Off the space, so there was a space and there was a clip. So i cut that clip off and then i cut this piece off that has doesn't have a clip and these come with extra clips. So i'm actually going to sew on the extra clip here to make another one clip piece. So i actually have two of these that i can make into one clip pieces by attaching a clip, and that gave me two more two two clip pieces that i can use for my ponytail and i have one three clip piece left, which is the narrower one And i just will save it and use it for something so that that's what i turned my set into and i'm going to show you how i put them in first, i'm going to show you with my hair down what i do with these two clip pieces. These narrow two clip pieces to fill in you see how my hair is then right here and not straight across it's pretty much straight across and pretty full fuller for me, for i have thin hair, but in the front here it just doesn't grow as thick. So i'm going to show you what i did now um. She cut them into my hair, and so i put an r that's backwards, but i put an r for the right side and an l for the left side. So i'll always make sure i get them on the right side, so i like to put them up pretty high up here, so that i can bring them more far more forward to fill in this space more up here, if i put them down lower i'll, have To put them back further like, if i put them down this low i'd, have to put them back this far, so it really wouldn't fill in this piece this section here, so i really need to put them up pretty high so somewhere along my hairline here. I need to put them so i have a little clip. They actually sent this to me along with some. They sent me a few clips and a this cute bag with a brush. They sent that to me for free and they sent me a mirror this little. This pretty bag and then a mirror which i've clearly used, so that was nice. Okay, so i've got my clip. So i just take my finger and just draw just create a part like that, and i kind of do it at an angle from here kind of down a little bit just like. If you were doing a halo, you kind of you come here and you go like that. I'M kind of doing the same thing for these clip-ins, so i just create a part that looks kind of like that. So it's slightly angled and i'm going to clip my hair out of the way using one of these clips. I'M going to take the right side piece just right here and i'll just brush it real quick and these are so soft and i'm just going to clip that in as close to the front as i can and then once you click and then i'm going to Clip the back piece in and then you just kind of want to make sure you can take like a comb or your brush and just make sure it's pretty even across, and that's that's even enough, and then i just let my hair down and it just covers Up the clip, and do you see how that fills that in really nicely you see the difference between this side and this side and how that just makes it look like my hair, isn't so thin right there and so i'll. Do the same thing on this side and when you put them in at your appointment, you just want to make sure you kind of remember where you put them make sure they're pretty even on both sides. It'Ll just make it easier when you're putting them in later. Here'S my left piece just install that just clip those to it. It'S super easy to clip. I don't know if y'all have used these before, but you just bend the clip to unclip and clip it, and so, let's see before we let the hair down is that going to be pretty even yep looks good. Then let the hair down - and it just covers up the weft, so you can't see it and see how that just fills that in and makes it look like. My hair is not so thin right here and like it's all the same length. So that's how i do it and i'm wearing my hair down, and i could really part it anywhere in here. You know you just want it. I i tend to like to part it close to center, but if you part your hair more on the side, then you're going to need to consider that when you get them trimmed to your hair length, if you cut it more on the side, you're going to Have to bring the weft you need to get have enough hair laying on top of the clip-in extension to cover it. So you want to make sure you have. You know enough hair that covers it up now, if it's a really windy day, there's a chance that this weft could show. So keep that in mind. So if it's a really windy day - i'll - probably probably i just generally do like a ponytail using these extensions, which i have a reel, that shows how i do that so go check that out and i'll be doing a new one with my new extensions. So you can see that, but i do already have one that shows how i use my clip and extensions to make a nice full long, ponytail, okay! So i'm going to go put my hair up and i'm going to come back and i'll. Show you how i utilize these one clip extensions. Okay, so i put my hair up and i've got my two one clip pieces that i'm going to put in right now, so just create a part and lift the hair out of the way, and just put that extension right along that part. Making sure that you match up the length of the extension with the length of your own hair, clip that in and then let your own hair down and you can see how it just kind of fills in right there and gives a little extra volume same thing. On this side and again, the set that i got was the cashmere hair seamless set in 16 inches in the color sunset blonde and that's a perfect match for my hair, as you can see, make sure that that is even it is just put my hair. Over top of that and there we go so that's how i utilize the one clip pieces. So for every day, if i'm wearing my hair down, i use the two clip pieces that i showed. If i'm wearing my hair up, which is most days, i just use the one clip pieces and then i will do a separate video where i show you how i use the two clip pieces to create opponent, a full and long ponytail. Thank you so much for watching. I hope this was helpful. Let me know if you have any questions.

Liz Lyons: I have human hair extensions that I use in a similar way. I like the way you blend these into your hair. My only issue is that my own hair is wavy so I either have to use a flatiron on it or wave the extensions. It is just simpler to use a topper or wig. But, I like the set you have. I just found them and they are Remy human hair too. Great! Thank you, Keri.
