Every one I wanted to do this, video quick for you. I get a lot of questions. Probably my most asked question about gastric sleeve is: how did I handle hair loss after surgery, and so I wanted to just kind of share what that looked like for me. In the past year that looks like now and some things that I did to kind of get through, that I feel like hair loss after gastric sleeve, a gastric bypass is kind of imminent from everything. I'Ve read it's just basically gon na happen. I don't know why. I think it could be that we drastically lose so much weight so quickly. It could be. I heard people say it's anesthesia. I myself can't really go off of that, because I've never had general anesthesia before until the surgery. So I never experienced hair loss like this. Until now now I talk to my hair stylist, she said that you know we routinely lose hair every seven years and grow new, and you know that happens after pregnancies after things like that, and I never remember losing this much hair, but it wasn't as bad as You would think I think, if you well. First of all, I think you should stay very nourished if possible, like very you know, do everything your surgeon says: eat your protein hydrate. Take your vitamins, things like that. You can take biotin whatever biotin, whatever we call it and - and it might help you, but for the most part it's gon na be a little bit of maintenance things, and it's just gon na happen. It'S not gon na be too drastic. I lost. Probably I almost want to say, like 50 60 % of my hair, a lot like a whole handful would come out every day in the shower. It was pretty pretty intense, nothing I didn't have like bald spots or anything like that, but it was really thinned out and I decided to go ahead and get hair extensions. I had an opportunity. My hair stylist was really wanting to try it out, and I thought why not so I ended up getting hair extensions about the 11 month mark and I I really like him, I so I had the taped in ones and they I don't know if you can See him they're just taped in there pretty strong they last a lot of people asked like how long that lasts and it lasts for about he. None the hair lasts about a year. They say if you take really good care of it, it can last longer. So I always keep my ends oiled and my natural hair is about to my chin. You can kind of see pieces of it under here, but then I have my hair extensions like all over and I have two different colors kind of throughout, because I have very dark hair but red tones, and so I have I just decided to do extensions. I thought it was kind of fun. Honestly, I've never done anything like that, and I thought it sounded like something fun to do. It'S not something you have to do by any means. Sorry, my dog is still loud, but I felt like it was something that you should know is an option. If that's something you want to do, I I had some pretty thin out hair. I mean I definitely could have made it through. I have a lot of regrowth, so my hair is like this much in regrowth like pretty like 3 or 4 inches. So it's really growing in like when my hair is not tamed down. I look like a chia pet. It'S like growing all over, but it's like guys. It'S something we kind of have to do with this surgery is it's kind of one of those crosses you get to carry, and it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things losing weight getting healthy. I lose my hair every time I would have gone bald to be this healthy yeah. Maybe not, it doesn't sound great, but I just wanted to let you know that you know if you are thinking about doing this and you're worried about the hair loss. My dog don't be. Hair loss is just part of the plan. You know it can be a little worrisome, but it's not nothing crazy, nothing, drastic! You know just follow everything. Your surgeon says: eat healthy, do all the right things and you know just try to take good care of yourself. Hair loss hair will always grow back. It'S not it's not permanent loss, but you know what is a permanent loss all this fat on my body. It'S never welcome to come back. Hair can come back, not the back, so I've lost 125 pounds and I will gladly trade that every time every day for hair loss short term. So if that's something you're worried about in on this journey, don't don't let it worry. You kind of just to write a passage so thanks. So much for watching guys, give us give a thumbs up and I almost said thumbs down jump. Please don't give me a thumbs down, I mean, if you think you need to but um, please give a thumbs up and let me know who you are where you're at on this journey and just to kind of introduce yourself I'd love to follow you. So thanks. So much guys don't forget to subscribe. Bye,

christine black: My surgery is Tuesday. I am having the bypass. I have loved your videos... You look amazing!

Ronda McFalls: it's very natural looking hair... I wouldn't have known that you had extensions if you hadn't told us.

Maryam ger: You look great, i do have two questions please, how long does the process of falling of hair last? And when did you notice growth? Pleassssse would appreciate your replay, am under huge distress, really appreciate your time and effort:)

AlohaLivin: Research shows it is a drastic body change, a shock, that causes it. Nothing will stop it (including Biotin), but with hair like mine (fine) it will show more than someone will thick hair (my husband is Polynesian and his has to be thinned monthly!). And the doggie is fine, he is big and you are in his meal area so anyone who has an issue with him has an issue

Donna's Happy Place: I've had lots of body reconstruction plastics after bypass 7 years ago and losing 196 lbs in 9 months. I have hair loss after each surgery. It's called Telogen Effluvium. Your follicles go dormant for 3-6 months after general anesthesia and don't have the normal 100 strand a day shed. When it wakes up, all the hair falls out that would have fallen out over the months. It starts coming back in after a few months. I actually saw a dermatologist about the hair loss to ensure it wasn't anything more serious. One girl I know thought hair loss was from bypass, but she actually had alopecia, so I always think it's best to see a dermatologist if it's a concern. I still use Hair Dreams nano extensions with 7 star European hair for volume. I just love them. Congrats on your weight loss.

JULZ Weight Loss Journey Gastric Bypass: Congrats on your journey and thanks for sharing my surgery is scheduled for feb 22 can’t wait. Please check out my journey

Humaira Ziauddin: I lose my hair almost 70% but when I saw my self in mirror I feel unbelievable I am really happy some time I feel bad for my hair but not all the it’s okayyyyyyy I am living healthy life attest much better then poking incline 4 times in a day

Brandy Wine: When I think of hair loss I think of it in chunks, so that's good to hear. I had my hair undercut with the top longer, so I can shave it. Its just hair to me haha.

Lisa Cheek: I think it’s because you physically cannot eat as much as someone with a normal size stomach; therefore you body does not absorb as many nutrients from natural foods.

TimetoShrink: you look so amazing my friend!!!!!

Simply Whitney _VSG: I hope I don't. I have dreadlocks and that might not look so nice ha ha lol. Im 12 weeks post op.. so far none

Steven Elmer: Your dog’s nails need to be trimmed. My vet said you know when it is time when they “clickety-clack” across the kitchen floor. Log nails put pressure on the wrong spots when they walk and can be uncomfortable or even painful for the dog. Congrats on the weight loss. I learn so many things from your videos.
