How To Cut Lauren Ashtyn Collection Luxury Hair Topper Volume Extension Root Coverage

Hi guys I'm Lauren Ashton and today I'm going to show you a cutting tutorial. This is one of our 12 to 16 inch root coverage pieces in the color Giselle, and this is my friend Ashley she's actually about to be a part of our family, so we're gon na customize, this hairpiece for her for her wedding Ashley, actually travels all over The world and has a blog that she shares all of her stuff on and she travels with her line after collection, her piece in her satin storage bag. So you guys check out her blog too, but we're gon na go ahead and get started. So I have all the clips up in all four clips, so I'm gon na get Ashley to tilt her head back just a little bit we're gon na clip this end right with her part - and this is super easy, because if Ashley wants to have ombre hair, She can just wear her own hair, but if she wants perfect right that day, she can just clip the top her hand how all righty, so now, I'm gon na trim it in and actually actually I'm gon na. Ask you to turn just a little bit to the side just so they can kind of see the side of your here too. Before I trim it in there we go so it really blends almost perfectly already without having to cut much. But now I'm just going to do a little bit of detail. Cutting so around Ashley's face you'll, probably want just a couple of little pieces, not very noticeable, but just so it'll blend in with her hair without her having to fix it as often so. We don't want it to be quite so heavy some customers need that extra bit of weight in the hair and the density and the piece, but some people don't because Ashley already has a decent amount of hair, so we're gon na go in and we're gon na Trim out a little bit of the bulk, so I'm just gon na pick up this piece start about right here and just kind of do a little bit of slither undercutting, and this is going to take out some of the bulk and just make it a much More natural appearance for her and just the smallest amount of detail, cutting really makes the biggest difference. You really don't have to do much with the pieces to get them to blend with your hair, because you don't want to make it too detailed of a cut so that when the customers hair grows out, they can still wear their pieces without having to change the Customization on them also putting a few layers and it gives her add an extra volume without her really having to do anything which, i think is exactly what ashley wants to wake up and clip it on Emily. That'S right so actually you're wanting to kind of wear. Some beachy waves for your wedding right right, so this is gon na be perfect for her wedding. It'S not gon na be too much hair, it'll be just enough, won't be too over-the-top, she'll be just enough for her and what she likes. So now I'm going to go back here in the back of the crown and I'm gon na lift this up. So this right now is 12 inch layers and 16 inch lengths. So we want to have just a little bit of shorter pieces underneath that push the hair up to give it more volume - and this is also great for customers that want to have one hair length, but then they can just clip on their layers. So this is also great for that. We don't want to go any closer and then probably like six inches to the scalp. If you want to leave it this long Emily. So if you were cutting one of our five to six Stoppers, you can get a little bit closer like about the two and a half to three inch range, but not with our root coverage pieces. You would rather make those more natural a little bit longer. I'M gon na do one more right here in the back just slew there cutting you can see it's not a lot hair, not a lot of here at all, just a little bit and I'm not trimming any of her own hair with it. So you don't have to trim the customers own hair to customize it for them, unless they just want you to. This also saves the integrity of her hair to where she's not having to color. It is often or put hot tools on as often or shampooed as often, which is always great, because the least amount of maintenance for anything is the best way to go. That looks great. I love it. Actually, I'm gon na come around to the sides. So you don't want it to be too short all right. So now, actually I'm gon na put the argan oil in there for her and then we're gon na curl. I mean you see, I just customize this and less than probably five to seven minutes and it would have taken less time and you can see these curls super super easily. I mean this is a two inch barrel and it's still curling really well, because if all of our pieces have a natural body weight putting them so it holds the curl in the style super easy for you guys to wear you're not having to style it all. The time in the morning actually can just wake up and she can clip this on without having to curl it every single day, because it holds the style which is the best. So I'm always like heading out on two wheels, because I'm so busy. So I'm just throwing that thing in there I'm going now, you don't have to go places, know your hair and you can have as much volume as you want. If you just spray a little bit more hairspray and just kind of push it up like this, you can for sure all right we're gon na. Let actually see her. I just play with it.
