Hair Topper Hairline Blending Technique

Jon Renau Easipart - English Toffee

It started out as color kin h2 4b, which is English toffee, a beautiful color. I just there was a picture and that literally looked like it was like blonde stuck on my head and because this isn't our time and quite a bit of my bio here does show, and I opted for the human hair, because I was afraid that I would Probably need low lights because of that, if it, I think, if it covered more, I don't think that would have been as big of an issue but because it is, you know it's not a ton of hair and I opted for the human hair. But anyway my stylist did add some lowlights and which have been really helpful. So anyway, I am added underneath, but so you know the hose host just normal hose, the top of it. The thicker part that's up by your waist, and I cut that off and added that underneath the the clip. So I just used the got to be glue and stuck it underneath each clip and just clipped it and just left it alone overnight. I don't think it needs that long, but I just did that anyway and that helps us stay. So this helps the grids, look a little bit more natural because I part it and I it's just impossible to get it to stay down on your part and the shadow underneath the gap between all it. To me all you could see with grits and even adding concealer and powder still just is that just bug me you're just little holes that you can see so anyway. That has really helped to fill those in it stays pretty flushed to it that way. So the second thing that I do in addition to this is um. I take a q-tip and I stick it in the got to be glue, and I just I've already done it with this one but um. I stick it in there and before I get my makeup going and just stick it on my sink and just let it get tacky, because I found that if you try and apply it right after and while it's still burr went that and it doesn't work, it Very well so once I've got done putting my makeup on and I will apply the topper, but the thing that really helps us to work. I don't know if it will work for the lace front, toppers or any of those is this. I don't know wedding band thing, I'm not really sure what it's called, but it's I make sure that I apply. I put it right around here and the glue when it's on I'll put this topper on and show you, but I apply it right there and I make sure that this this some bands is what sticks to it. So again, I don't know if this will work. This is the only cover I have but - and I it's worked so far with that so and it seems to stick to that. So I will stick this topper on really quickly and I found that a really deep side part has worked the best for me so and here's the front. So the clip is right here. So it's really on the side that to me it just looks most natural, because the hair that's coming out of that band is just straight out, and so this just helps. For me at least, I feel like it looks a little bit more natural, so I will stick the and easy part. Just I guess that's about it an inch and a half, maybe to my parts and start to clip it down. I really like these clips. They don't seem to pull me here, and you know of course, at the beginning is a little uncomfortable, but my scalp seems to have gotten used to it. Some people have complained that it doesn't stick. You know flat down, which was my issue in the front, which caused me to kind of look for options to figure out what to do here. But I kind of like that in the back that it doesn't stick down perfectly because it gives a little bit of volume can't argue with that so and by the way, the hose being inside there helps it's. You know this hair does part the back. It looks like your scalp, I mean it looks, and I am NOT very good with camera, so I'm not really sure how to show you that, but it it really looks to me every time. I look back there, I'm like amazed at how well it looks um as far as looking like scalp but anyway. So the problem is that I was finding. Is you know this wasn't laying flat um it? You could see. Definitely you know shadow, and so I have been kind of experimenting with the got to be glue, so I just tried this one day. I have this fish tail comb. This has been really awesome and I think you could use like a makeup brush. I just use this, and this has been working well for me, but I think any kind of long slender object would work great. So I take the got to be close, so it's been kind of tacky I've already um stuck it there, and I just apply it right here and then I will take at the end of this fish tail comb and I'll just hold it there. So that helps obviously I put a gradient. You know pretty good amount of pressure on it, but I am you know not hurting myself by any means, but I think what's really nice about this - is that you know your hair, naturally with your part it indents down, and then your hair comes up well. This helps for even though I didn't put glue all the way back. It helps to kind of you know to me that looks more natural and you know dips in and then comes up, so I just hold it down yeah. I don't have an exact science and sure at least a minute, probably a little bit longer and um. You know I do this at the beginning, so sometimes I need to recur all or just you know. We style my hair and it sticks, which is nice so anyway. So that's and I will take a blow-dryer, sometimes on a cool setting, just to kind of steal it if needed. If I'm finding that it's not working well for whatever reason or maybe I'm hot or something and it's just not drying, basically, but so that's what I will do. I do take some concealer on how this master can feel got from Walmart and color light. Don'T I use this under my eyes, so I do use that and I will use a brush. I just had this. I didn't tell the stuff I had. I had some hose that I never used and I don't were going to corporate job anymore. So it was like perfect to cut that off, but I'll take some of this concealer and put it on the edge of this brush and just because my part can kind of get lost, because I here in the front is so fine I'll. Just put it right. There so that it kind of blends, even though obviously that's my skin - it just makes it look a little bit more natural. I think to do that, and I apologize guys my lighting and my bathroom is terrible, but this was the easiest place to do it. This video I'll dab that on there and kind of line it up the orb - and you know this is still not sticking down very well for some reason this evening. This is second time I'm shooting this video, which is the first time with like really long so um anyway, and then I have some old Clinique and just give away brown eyeshadow so I'll just use that on the part in case, I get any concealer over too Far, but just and use it on my own hairline just again to blend in, I do use some of the l'oreal route cover-up as well. I usually will spray that here just to make it look a little bit more thick, but anyway, that's really the process that I use. So, as you can see, the hairline to me looks really pretty good. The best that I found so far, and I feel like at least flash on my flush to my scalp - I don't have to worry about you - know that popping up and to me like looking straight on, you can aim it out, which is amazing. Oh my gosh, so I will take at the end of the day. It usually doesn't stick too much to my hair, but I will just take I've, got a you know a little water bottle and I'll just spray it. So that way it comes up and without pulling any of my hair, but I

Sunday Sommers: Finally an honest topper video. So helpful. Please make more.

Rebecca Blane: Very helpful video! I haven't worn my topper due to the same issue and my hair is stupidly thin in the front. I will definitely be trying this! Thank you!

sandykelliott: I love that Easi Part topper, but have struggled with exactly the same spot! Very helpful. Cant wait to try it. Thanks for the detailed explanation!

Joy Louise: Thank you so much for this vid. THE BEST demonstration I've seen. Most complete and realistic!

agathe me: Wow , it looks like a little bit of work but it's worth it!looks so natural!

geetha parasuram: Useful video! I have the same issues. I crisscross some strands of hair in the part to hide the edge. It looks like you don't have a perfect straight part but hides and covers the edge.

Jeannie Dupre: Love what you did to blend it. I'm going to try the hosiery trick. Looks like you cut a bit of the edge so it can part more? That's my issue with a pricey topper I have. It does this "whale tail" thing.

willingtootry: I’ve been struggling w blending myself and I love a side part. Thanks for sharing. I wish the very beginning of the video hadn’t been cut off. Is this a human hair topper?

Smitch82: I just purchased my topper and the shadow/space at the part was bothering me, I'm going to try this! Thank you so much for posting this video!

Rambling Rose: My topper pops up also but I do not think the little snap combs grip enough .I bought more snap comps to sew in but my hair is so thin not much to grab on .I have bangs on mine and a mono crown so the bangs get rid of that whole part issue . I really liked your video ,it shows some good ideas thanks .

Su Zuki: Looks great! What brand is your topper?

Julie Mann: This video helped me very much--about the got2 b glue. Thank you.

doubledancer: excellent tips!!!!!!!!!

allykatt1849: Thank you!

Christin Cole: Great advice! Just subscribed! You are such a natural beauty!! Ok, we may buy a little hair but who cares! Lol! You certainly don't need makeup! Lucky!

Erin Gallant: Look up bleaching knots. It helps make the part look more realistic

sandykelliott: You are very pretty. Your hair looked good anyway, but I was surprised how good the topper looked on you! Thank you for sharing.
