From Wig To Hair Topper! (For Buzzed Hair )

Thank you for watching xoxo

Hi friends welcome back to my channel so today, as you can see, we are doing the wig topper, like I said, I have already cut this one off from a it's a human hair wig. It was very short, it's cut really really weird, and but I am gon na show you how I did it: okay prints. So actually I pulled out one more wig. This is just a really super short pixie wig. I actually wanted dyeing it with gentian violet, which, if you're not familiar with that, is it's this. It just is a purple liquid. You can get it sometimes I'm on the end. Caps, I'm like in the more of the ethnic sections to like Target or CVS, or things like that, instead of using purple shampoo. Basically, you take a tiny, tiny, tiny bit as this gentian violet and you can use it to. You can add it to shampoo or conditioner and use it kind of. As a like. You would a purple shampoo. The only thing is it completely dyed the inside and so yeah. So that's why this looks like that, but I am going to show you how I cut it to make it into this. So, like I showed you, this is just the inside top of the way, a grape. So it is this part around here. This is the crown it's like in a circular motion, so it's gon na be like back here, so I'm gon na show you how I cut it without cutting all the wefts off and basically you want to start where the we'll see how these webs go down. Like that, you want to start right here at the end where this part is sewn on and the wefts begins. So I am gon na attempt to show you. You can start right there. So I'm gon na take this my scissors and I'm going to cut, make sure I'm not cutting what you don't want to do. Is you don't want to wind up cutting West that you're going to need, and so you just kind of have to pull the hair back and see where those webs end and where you are going to begin cutting? So I am gon na start right here. I can get it and if you lose a little bit of hair, it's fine like someone's gon na, come out. That'S just it's just gon na happen, and so don't try not to stress too much, because once you get that open once you get that open, you see how that netting is right there. So that's gon na be your guide, so you're gon na go through with that netting and stick your scissors underneath and just cut make sure you're not getting the hair. You just want to cut the neck and, like I said you you're, probably gon na catch them. Here and just try to be careful but do see to see that right there here, you just follow that as a marker, all the way around now I'm coming to okay, so this parts off right now, I'm coming to you and there's an elastic right. There see there's one two three four or we got one two three four five of these sort of elastic bands that the wefts are so on two, so you just want to just cut through it, like I said, just be careful not to cut and see how It'S already coming apart, okay and also it just makes it easier once you do that, because then you can kind of see, and it just makes more sense. I promise you guys know me, you know that I'm not a perfectionist. Do you know that I get messy and I screw things up so from here: you're just gon na go to each piece and cut it. Let'S cut that lace and then next one so and I'm so like not patient, and so I tend to go faster and I'm like and whatever so and then you just want to go through and pull oops the excess off. But underneath you have almost like a lace frontal right because it's kind of a four by four shape, so it's like a hair topper. So, okay, you guys don't judge cuz. I know it's gon na look like a funky toupee, but if I were to put it on right and my hair was blind, I could go. I could go to my friend and have her cut this and kind of blend it thin it out and blend it. In so I can essentially have a pixie cut, while I'm waiting for it more while I'm waiting for this to grow out or if you don't want to do anything. I know it looks like a funky to pay because my hair so dark um, but you know: do you see the potential that you could work with? You could go, you could glue it on or you could sew clips onto it really easily get the little clips that I've shown you guys before. You can sew them on. You can sew four or five of them on and if your hair is a little bit longer than mine, you can clip it just clip it right in otherwise, you can use glue even go through the perimeter. Put it on. Let it dry go to your hairstylist and ask her to blend it into your sides, your faded sides, and so this that, but this is that's how to do it, and this is the lighter one. This is the darker one. Let me show you that's what it looks like. I showed you before this one already has like a clip in it, but I'm going to take it out and I'm not sure exactly that. This will give you a little better idea, and this is like a disaster master right now, so this one obviously would need some more help. But if it's gluten - and it's completely cut, you know and thinned out like shorn out a little bit, you could totally rock this as a short pixie like I said, it's a disaster right now, but I'm just trying to show you guys the possibilities you know um When you're desperate and you chop your hair off and you just decide one day, you want some hair, you want to have some hair back. You know this is a great temporary fix. It'S obviously not permanent. You can take it out when you want and or use it you can put to use it with clips or whatever. I would highly recommend if you do this, because you see how everything is just kind of weird and I haven't cut this. This is just what came off the top of the wig, and so I would recommend once you have it secured in whether it's through clips or through glue going to your stylist and having her cut it into the style that is going to best blend. With your undercut - and I think that it is you know, if you have cheap, I would only do human hair wigs. I wouldn't do synthetic wigs because you don't want that in your hair for days and days and days, you want to be able to take it out unless you're just going to use clip so you're going to use Clips and totally use synthetic. It'S totally fine. But if you're going to glue it in, you definitely want to use human hair. So I hope this was helpful. I didn't get to show you like really the after effects, because I need to actually install it and then go to my friends and have her cut it and I'm not sure if I want. I have platinum and I'm bleach a platinum, bleach kit. So I'm not sure if I want to go platinum and then use this or just use stuff and keep my hair dark. So let me know what you guys think in the comments below and also let me know if you like this video, give it a thumbs up, and I will see you guys in my next video and depending what you guys decide. I will hopefully to be doing a video on that on this installation and my hair. So alright, thanks for watching

Dawn Gilstrap: You are so lovely and easy to listen to with some fantastic ideas to “repurpose” old wigs! :) Oh, the dark looks fantastic on you and is very sophisticated and the blonde is a bit more punk, rock n’ rollish. “Work the mood,” I say! Thank you Angie.
