Hi everyone, i'm lucy and welcome back to my youtube channel today, i'm going to be sewing my hair out and we are going to be testing foxtrot, hair extensions, i'll show you how to put them in and how to make your hair look so much better kind Of give you a review on my thoughts to the hair extensions, the hair extensions i'll be using today the seamless elegant 16 inch in the shade latte blonde. You might have already seen another video of me toning, these so they're, less of a yellowy color and more of like a silver undertone. I do have my fox locks ponytail in regards to reference of the color. My ponytail is iced latte and my extensions are latte blonde, so the latte blonde kind of have a slightly yellower tinge to them. Like i said, i have toned this with purple shampoos. This is my extension against the latte blonde, which you can tell. It is a much lighter blonde. Obviously my hair doesn't really match at the minute because hairdressers have been shut for so long. So my hair is so much darker at the minute, so i'll try my best to kind of blend them together, color wise. If they just look ridiculous, you just have to bear with me because my hair color doesn't match - and i know that before i get load of comments saying the hair color is completely wrong. So when you get the hair extensions, they come in a box like this and they actually have a tester piece for you, so that you can. If you are worried about colors, you can test out the color whether it will match before you open the whole set, and then you can return it back to foxy locks. If you know that the shade isn't your color, because it can be hard to choose your color when you are on line the extensions themselves, i have just kind of laid them out next to me so that i can find them. So if i look down here, that's what i'm looking at. They have two small whips which are basically for more the front of your hair and they just easily clip in got these clips that you clip into your hair and you can literally just push and they open slide your hair in and then close, and that closes Them up the thing that i do like about these extensions is they've got different shades of blonde, so it makes it easier to blend in and get a natural color match and they're also seamless, so you can't actually see the joinings at all. In my case, you can because my hair has grown out and obviously it's the wrong color. So yeah it comes with two one wit which when i mean whips, i mean like clips and then it's got two two widths. So again, two clips and then two three whips and then finally one for width, so there's a lot of hair to get in so if i kind of hold them all up together. This is the amount of hair that i've got to put in my hair, and this is again the 16 inches for reference, so i'll be putting these in my hair and showing you what they do look like, because there is a lot of hair here. I don't put all of them in my hair, because i just find that it's literally too much for my hair and i don't need it moving on to clipping the hair extensions in i'm not going to be using a hair brush for this, because it does just Make my hair go bigger and bigger, because my hair is naturally curly. Hence you can see it's not dead straight now, so i'll just be sectioning it off and then clipping them in. This is gon na be so hard for me to actually show purely for the fact. I'Ve got no mirror, so i'm going to be using my viewfinder. So if that annoys, you me looking at that. I do apologize so kind of use this clip to section it back. So i get a straight line at the back just kind of chucked out my head. It doesn't matter so like look. You can see my little curly bits. We will be sorting that out later so don't stress this is like the current length before you clip this hair extension in you kind of like backcomb it a little bit to give your hair volume if you do have dead straight hair, but, like i said as I'Ve got curly hair. I have volume anyway, so i don't need to ruin my hair by backcombing it a little bit because i've already ruined it enough, straightening it and, as you can see, it's got a little bit of body to it. Anyway, you just undo all three clips and just clip it in at the back: try to make this as central as possible, but like it's just trying an error to begin with, and then you can kind of see what works for you. How many clips work for you and whether you want the four one ends and you just clip it in then you can bring it to the front. Obviously you can already see the difference and the length it has added and yeah. You can tell the color my hair is a little bit too dark for it at the minute, but just that one clip has added so much length to it already, which is really good. And then it's basically just following the same process again by sectioning, a bit of hair further down and i'll, be adding another three clip in. So you just want to make sure that enough hair you have brought down to cover the kind of tape bit before. You add another section in so again i'll be going in with my three width clip just open it up, essentially just clipping it in my hair. Again so i'd say these bottom ones are the easiest to kind of put in because you're not too worried about hiding them, because you've got plenty of hair. So when it gets closer to the top, they can be quite difficult to hide it. But again these are seamless, so they look a lot better than other hair extensions. So that's it with two different clips in and i'm already feeling like a lot better about my hair and i just when i've got hair extensions in. I literally just can't stop touching the hair, because the hair is just honestly so soft and everything i do keep putting moroccan oil on it and looking after it, because i do tend to curl it in because these are human hair extensions. So you can add heat to them, and things like that, so you can style them the way you want - and that was one of the main things that i was looking for when i was looking into hair extensions, is that i can style them the way i Want to style them, so this is the harder part. I'D say is putting the rest in because it's just closer to the top of my hair. This is a point where i should probably use a hair brush and just kind of flattening it down. I'M using this great length, hair extension, hair brush just because i've got it, but you can get a hair extension brush anywhere and it just kind of stops it and just kind of feel behind, because sometimes you can feel like. Oh yeah, that's poking up. I need to bring it down a bit. I don't even know where my parting is because i'm too far away - and i'm honestly so blind out of this eye right now, because i put my eyelashes on earlier. Does that happen to anyone else? It'S probably just me, but i'm gon na go for a side parting, just to kind of show you what that's like coming on up to putting more hair extensions in on the top layer, i'm going to section this top bit up and out of the way. Honestly, i literally cannot see what i'm doing right now, but it's so much easier when i've got a mirror in front of me. So if i'm i'm absolutely butchering this, that's what i find. Sometimes you can find that you put these hair extensions too close here. So then, when hair kind of blows back, it's visible, so i tend to kind of like stick it a little bit further back and slightly and angle this one sorry, if i've changed angle, my dad needed me i've just clipped. Actually i didn't even finish clipping this. In so clip the first one in second one in just straight across which you probably can see quite badly because it's getting closer to my roots, then it just takes this bit of hair down i've, not not clipped that one in tight enough. So it is honestly trial and error, so it's kind of gaping here a bit because the second one i put in i didn't put it further enough across now that one is across put all that hair around and that is now covered, like i said, just kind Of pat your hair and you can kind of feel when there are little bits poking up and then you can just push it down a bit further, so that it's not kind of showing. But again you can back comb the top bit of your hair, just so that it sticks in properly and then i'm gon na put another two width in but this side. Obviously, if you use a middle parting, it is easier to kind of hide them this side. So again clip this kind of fruit bit back clip it in and it kind of meets the other one that you put in at the back. That'S in and i like to add a little bit more hair this side, because this is the way my fringe is going, so i'm going to add another one width in so these are all the hair extensions that i will be putting in today. So this is what they currently look like, just throwing in my hair, not solid at all. Obviously, you can see that the hair extensions i have already curled before and it has dropped out a little bit, so i will be styling them just for reference, though i have all this hair in and i've still got hair left. So i've got this. Full width left and this two width left and right actually section it properly and kind of got like an even amount. Ish. Both sides probably got a bit more this side, but it is like just trial and error and what you do like i'll show you a close-up of my hair, so you can kind of see what it looks like and the coloring before i kind of curl, my Natural hair into the extensions so that it hides them a little bit more, this is the current situation of my hair. When i say i can't stop touching it, it's because i can't i just love it: it's not too heavy at all either and because it is human hair, it just looks so much more natural, so i'm gon na just add a little bit of curls into this. Just a little bit just so that i can show you how i style it, but honestly today it doesn't actually look too bad and it hasn't blended too badly. So yeah. This is the current situation, so i did actually bring my straighteners in case. I wanted to straighten curl them, but i don't think i'll be doing that today, just purely because you never know what it's actually gon na look like when you put the extensions in. But personally i like to wear extensions curly, not straight because if i have them straight, i kind of have my normal hair hair and then there's straight extensions like down to here and you they don't blend very well and i think that's partly because i've got different Texture hair because my hair is naturally curly, so that's just something to bear in mind as i will be kind of curling these. I am going to add heat defense because, like i said it is human hair and it can still get damaged. So i'm just going to spritz my hair with some heat protectant, because this will literally save my extensions and make them last longer, as well as my normal hair as well. Don'T want to damage any of that. This is actually my sister's hair, um heat, protectant and she's, not here the minute, so i can't actually ask. However, i can use it and now i'm just kind of choking on it. Yeah, i'm just gon na wait for that to dry a bit in regards to pricing of the hair extensions. They were 120 pounds and i know foxy locks currently have a 20 discount off. I think don't quote me to that, but if they do, i will leave the code on screen so that you can use that, but they do sometimes have little sales on and stuff like that. So they're definitely worth checking out. If you want to invest in some hair extensions and how much do these actually weigh because, like i said, they are quite lightweight on my hair and i don't feel like they're pulling at my scalp, which is good, so yeah, they're, 160 grams. So you've got quite a bit of hair there to play it around with now that heat protectant has kind of set just for reference. It was the heat protection, nourishing heat protection from mark hill in this bottle here and if you shake it, it goes all glittery and i just think that's quite cute. If you wanted to know what i am using, i'm also going to be using these. I do have fox looks: colors you've probably seen me review them, but today i'm just going to be using these old hair curlers. I don't even know what makes they are they are. They are literally that old. I wonder why they're not heating up, not even plugged it in honestly how stupid do i have to be not going to use too high heat, because, personally, i don't think the hair extensions need it, and i don't like to wreck it. It just take glam and riser on it, whether that's the make of the colors i've had these absolute years, probably about eight years, and they were actually really good and the other day. I shoved it in a drawer and it's got a sliding kind of turn on off thing on slid it into my drawer left it plugged in and it accidentally turned on and then melted a load of stuff that was in the drawer. I haven't used them since so i'm hoping this will work yeah, it's already heated up and says that it is ready. So i'm just gon na be curling my normal hair into the hair extensions. It isn't really like hard again. You could do this as you go along, but i find it easier to do at the end to curl it or and style it at the end. But you can do it as you put each kind of clip in blend it in but again is honestly just personal preference and then this is kind of the length we're working with. I think it blends pretty well, but i'm just going to add, like a few curls like here at the top. So this is my natural hair and then this is like my hair extensions and then, if you just curl them in together, just like that leave it for a couple of seconds, then, if it doesn't do anything, you can add more heat. I'M hoping this works and i like to like hold the curl a bit until it cools down and then let it loose like that and then literally just follow the same process going around grabbing a bit of your normal hair, a bit of the other hold it For a couple seconds kind of scrunch it hold it let it go, but sometimes i like bigger curls. Sometimes i like obviously oh cuz. It just kind of depends because, like i've made that those two curls really curly, sometimes i like bigger, looser waves, which i actually use my foxy locks, one wonderful and then you can kind of just brush it out or bring your fingers through it to kind of Make it look more natural, so yeah, i'm only using like 100 degrees to do this, because i don't want to damage the extensions too much and i want them to kind of last, even though they are human huh. Honestly, i don't think it really needs that many adding and it is literally just at the top. Maybe i should recover my hair wait for my face and then this little bit here as well at the bottom. I think that will probably do for curls, because it seems to have blended in with my natural hair quite well and, like i could say this one's probably a little bit too tight to curl, but i can't actually see what i'm doing the rest. I quite like to have looser curls, but they do kind of drop out once you've kind of stabbed the hair like i have. You can literally just chuck a load of hairspray on which i'm not going to do that now because my hair's naturally curly. I don't know how many times i said that in this video, but because it is naturally healthy, it has volume and holds a lot longer anyway, and i kind of like the looser kind of style look. So this is the after of what my hair looks like with the extensions in i know. The color is slightly off, like i said in the beginning of this video, but i am getting my hair dyed again in the end of august, so hopefully we'll be all sorted by then, and i can wear these again properly boom. This is the finished hair. Look if you don't have any questions about the hair, extensions or anything regarding hair essentials in general. Please do let me know. I have washes quite a few times as well, and they are still super soft and moroccan oil really does help, keep them fresh and makes them last a little bit longer.
