Hi guys so today, I'm finally going to do the how to curl with a clamp, curling iron tutorial. So this is basic curling iron tutorial. If you find yourself getting clap marks when you're trying to cope with the curling iron or you're, finding yourself being able to curl one side and not necessarily knowing how to curl the other side, this tutorial is for you. If you already know how to curl with the curling iron, then this one might not be for you, but if you want to go ahead and give me that view and I'm just gon na get straight to it, so let's get started, I'm going to do it With your curling iron offer, so I could explain this stuff because I want to go slowly and making sure I'm explaining it right for the front of my face. I usually like going away from the face. You want to start at the top of the Strand, so you want to stir it up here, because you want the crow to start from up here and not start down here and roll up, because then your curl is going to fall and pretty much wherever you Start in the Strand, that's where your curl is going to start. So if you start up here, you'll have the curl going throughout the Strand and it will last the longest. So I like to start at the top of the stress holding the curling iron with my right hand, at the Strad with my left. I am right-handed, so the clamp is gon na be in front of the hair and the curling iron will be in the back. It'S easier to hold it vertical. First, it's like this, so I like to start at the top, and you want to look at the way it's curving, so the clamp is there to guide you. So wherever you have the loose hair you look at where they're looser hair is and the clamp is rolling downward. So you want to make sure, since it's rolling down you're rolling down with it, you don't want to go up because that's how you get clap marks. You want to roll down with the clamp, so the clamp is wherever the loose hair is that you look at it. It'S curving down, so you curved out as well, and you want to make sure that the hair is going below the hair that you start with and make sure that it's not going on top. So the way you do that I kind of clamp it from the top and I kind of just let the Strad go and I have both of my hands on the curling iron and kind of twist it. You can put your thumb on here to kind of loosen it up a little bit but making sure you're twisting downward or not upward, because that's where it was Kirby, I just twist throughout the strand, and if you want more of a wave, I like to pull Down like this and drag to the ends, but if you want more of a curl, then you just do the same thing, but make sure you get the ends all the way in the curling iron and that's gon na be more of a curl so again, clap Forward with this clump part in front of the hair and the curling iron and back of the hair, you start at the top of the strand. You clamp it. I like to clamp it pretty high up there, so it could give room for the hair to fall down here. So I like to clap it up here and as I'm twisting down, because it's rolling down I twist down with my hands and making sure the hair is falling below this and not on top, and I just curl feed the hair through. If I need to loosen it up with I, just with my thumb's grip, it and kind of feed the hair through all the way through. Another thing is a lot of people when they do this, they want to. They want to guide the hair, so they are twisting the hair. It'S it's not a wand. So don't try to twist the hair, while you're curling you're only using the curling iron. So make sure you, when you clamp it, you don't need to be twisting around. That'S just gon na confuse you, so when you clamp it, you want to make sure I just let go of the hair and I just let it fall through the bottom and kind of just let the curling iron do the work. Now, if you want to alternate the curl, so that was me showing you how to do everything away from the face, but this might be a little more advanced. So if you guys don't feel like you guys can advance to this. Yet just stick to what I first showed you and do up that throughout the whole hair, and you will have a very pretty effect. But I like to alternate my curls when I do beach waves, I feel like it just adds more of a texture. If you guys want to alternate the curl, it's pretty much the same thing, but instead of the curl, the clap being on the front of the the strand. It'S going to be on the back. So now the clam on the back and the curling irons on the front. So now you see the way it's curving, it's curving. This way it's going that way, so you're gon na curve. This way. Instead, you don't want to go against it. That'S gon na cause clap marks, so you wan na it's getting the hair is getting fed that way so you're gon na curl with it and again you want to go below the hair, is getting fed below that this hair and just slowly loosen it up and Make sure making sure you feed the hair through. So it's pretty much the same thing. You just always want to pay attention to the clamp and the way it's curvy. So you have it forward, then just go on the direction of the hair, the hair, the loose hair, it's curving down, so you want to curve down with it. If you have a backwards, the loose hair is going this way. So you want to curb this way again if it's this, if you're going forward the loose hair, is going that way. So you curved that way. If you're going in the back the loose hair, it's curving this way so you're going inside and if you're curving, if you have it this way, it's curving outside the hair is going that way. So it's curving it outside okay! So now I'm going to do my hair with the curling iron on so I'm gon na. Do it a little faster? I want this part away from my face, so I have the clamp facing forward and the curling iron in the back. I'M going to make sure I start at the top clap it down and let my curling iron to the work. So I want to go that way, because that's the way it's curving down and the hair is going that way so making sure that this is fed through underneath this hair and you just keep feeding it through and, like I said, if you want to do a Curl, you curl all the way to the ends, but I want to wave so I'm just gon na do this and drag through the ends and that's gon na give me more of a wave for this one. I'M going to alternate so now, I'm gon na have the clamp in the back and since the loose hair is going this way and the clamp is going that way as well. I'M gon na curve inward with it and again. This is gon na go below that hair, letting the curling iron do the work and feeding the hair through and then, since I wan na wave, I'm gon na pull it through like that. If you wanted to curl strange things, start at the top feed it through, but instead of just going straight down right now to do a way, but I just would feed off the ends all the way through and then that would be. As you see, look at the ends they're more curled, so this is more of a curl. This is more of a wave okay and this side, I'm doing the same thing. So I showed you guys on this side. This side is gon na, be the same thing. The I'm holding it with my right hand, the clap, is going to be forward facing front and I'm gon na the loose hairs here. So I'm curving that way where the thing is rolling. I'M curving where the loose hairs are I roll it down roll it twice and then drag down this one? If I want to, I want to alternate the curl. I'M gon na have the clamp in the back and then, since the loose hair is since its rolling. This way the loose hair is coming this way as well. That'S where I'm going to turn it. The hair is always going below that top hair and just twist it loosen it up a little bit with the thumb. So you can feed the hair through and pull down like. I said it should let the curling iron do the work. So after you clamp it on, let go of the strand and then curl with the curling iron. Don'T try to do extra things with your hands. Just clamp it on and then start turning with the curling iron, but I know I'm gon na be repeating myself, but I just feel like in order to really get it and understand it is I probably need to say it over and over again and that it Will eventually click and you're gon na as soon as you you're able to do it one time you're gon na, be like? Oh, my god that was easy and it's gon na be easy, so start at the top the loose hairs going that way. You'Re, it's curving down as well, so you're curving that way, letting it fall and just letting the curling iron do the work you all righty. If I just cut my hair - and I hope I was able to explain how to curl with the clown curling iron, it does take a little bit of practice, but once you guys get it down, it becomes second nature and just it becomes super easy to curl. Your hair, let me know if this video was helpful or if your curling, your hair, and you find that you have some questions that I might have missed or not answered, comment below.
