Lily Hair Extension Review And Demo | 3 Fun Hairstyles Using Halo Extensions

Hey guys, what's up welcome back to my channel in today's video, i'm gon na, be showing you guys a little hair review on the lily hair halo. I am super excited because i love extensions. I'Ve always used extensions for years and years and years. Currently, i'm not using permanent extensions just because my hair is finally getting long and healthy and a little bit thicker. So i don't really need the permanence anymore, but i do love to wear halos and clip-ins on the weekends. If i'm going to an event, if i want a little bit more um to my look, especially on the weekends on my days off, lily hair was kind enough to send me some hair to try out for you guys. I am going to be doing a voice over for the rest of the video only because i did wake up an hour early before work. It is now 8 44, but i woke up at 7.. Of course, the day i wake up an hour earlier to film. This video there is some sort of like truck noise going on downstairs in the loading zone, so it is really really frustrating. So, unfortunately, i couldn't talk throughout the video now, as i'm finishing the hair tutorial, the semi truck or whatever just finally left. So, thank god because that was really annoying and it was interrupting. My video, but just a little heads up the rest of the video will be a voice over. So that's kind of why i have to do a voiceover, but if you guys are interested on my honest review of lily hair as well as three fun hairstyles, then just continue watching. So before we begin it's important before installing the halo. You have a good base to work with meaning your hair is clean straight and dry. If you do wear your hair, naturally wavy then lily hair does offer a body wave halo option, which is amazing. You also want to install the halo when your hair is more clean than dirty, because if your hair is oily and dirty your hair on the top layer can start to separate and you'll be able to see the weft of hair. More lily. Hair does offer tons of different type of hair extensions, including halos clip-ins pony attachments tape-ins, which is pretty amazing. You can have different options to choose from me personally. I do like a halo at the moment because my hair is longer and a little bit more fuller. Now, in the package they sent me, they did send me a brush like a detangler brush and as well as a couple clips to use as accessories. So i will be including that, at the very end of the video before i begin talking more about lily hair, i did want to mention. I did get the halo in the ombre number 12-613, which is a rooted brown into a beach blonde color. Unfortunately, the top wasn't dark enough to match my hair, so i did color the roots myself at salon and just purple shampoo, the blonde for literally just one minute. I will insert a clip of me doing it. I did add a couple lowlights to give it a little dimension just to match my hair a little bit more, because my hair was more on the ashier side. I just got it done a couple weeks ago and the extensions i got were just a little too golden and a little light at the root, so i did just color it myself. I know everyone can't do this, but you can always bring your extensions into your hair colorist and your hair colors at the salon can quickly tone the extensions for you. The type of halo i am using in this video is a halo and flippin hair extension, meaning it does have removable velcro clips and fishing wire. You can use the velcro clips if you're just not going to use the halo portion of the extension me personally. I love the halo, so i do like to remove the clips, because if you keep the clips on and use it as a halo, it's just going to get stuck in your hair and just be a hot mess. So my biggest advice is just to remove the velcro clips and then you just have to attach the fish wire. It'S really simple and easy to install lily hair does offer two different types of halo clip in extensions, the first one being a classic halo, which the first halo is more of a classic halo, meaning you have your 14 inch 16 inch all the way up to 24 inch length, but the grams are pretty basic, so for 14 inch it's going to be 70 grams and for 24 inch it's going to be 150 grams. The next halo is the deluxe halo, which is about the same, but the 14 inch is 90 grams and the 24 inch is 190. So if your hair is more on the thicker side definitely get the deluxe halo extension because the classic is not going to be enough hair for you. I did get the classic one, because my hair isn't super thick, so the classic 22 inch was perfect. For me to begin installing. You will need a comb with a rat tail, so you can achieve a cleaner part. You will also need a clip to get your hair out of the way to begin make sure you brush your hair out. So there's no tangles next, take your rat tail comb and create a halo section parting, as you can see, clip that section up and get it out of the way. Now i'm taking the halo and placing it over the halo section we created after that we're pretty much done. You just have to unclip your section and just brush everything on top of the halo. If that makes sense, as you can see, the halo matches my hair perfect and it just blends really. Well. Obviously, the extensions look perfect straight, but i do want to give you three different hairstyle options, so the first option is going to be just curling your hair. This is really nice because it does make your color pop more, and it also makes the extensions and your real hair blend even more. I do have a more in-depth video on how to curl your hair, especially with extensions. So if you're interested, i will link it down below, but i'm just starting off curling one side of my hair. First, adding hairspray is optional, but i would definitely recommend it for the extensions, so it can last longer if your hair is shorter on the top layer. Make sure you curl your ends of your hair, because if you don't, those ends will stick out, and it will be more obvious that you have extensions in. So that's just a little curling tip. Now that i curled one side, i'm going to quickly curl the other side off camera. Now that i finished my curls, i'm just going to be adding a little bit more hairspray to make sure the curls last all day, all night and as well as some smoothing product, i did use the orbe featherlite balm. It'S just kind of like a creamier smoothing product, so it does help with the flyaways and everything. But honestly you can use whatever you guys have on hand and oil, whatever smoothing product you guys like. I am using my fingers to brush through the curls. If you don't want to use your fingers, you can definitely use a brush to make it more fluffier, more voluminous and a little bit more looser that does complete style number one. The next hairstyle, i'm just using the clips that they sent me in the package. You guys can use any type of hair accessory clips, you guys have on handy or you can buy some really affordable ones on amazon, so i'm just taking some of the gold clips and just placing it on the side of my hair, mostly where i part my Hair, so just using that side right there, you can leave some hair out or you can just clip it all the way back in this video. I did just leave a tiny bit of my hair in the front. Just to give me a little bit more of a look to it for the next hairstyle, i'm going to be doing a half up pony using a silk scrunchie or whatever scrunchie you have on hand. I just like the silk one. I just feel like it's a whole vibe, i'm starting off taking a few pieces from the front and leaving it out. If you don't want the front pieces to stay out, you can just pull them back me. Personally, i do like to leave some hair out in the front, but if you don't like it, you can just brush it back. So next i'm taking a small part of hair from the front and brushing it back, making sure it's nice and smooth. As you can see, i'm going to secure the pony with my silky scrunchie and i'm going to do it pretty tight. That way, it doesn't move around or fall. If you want your pony a little bit more voluminous, you can take a brush and just back comb it a little bit, tease it just to give it a little bit more volume. But i like it the way it is right now and it's just fun and perfect for summer and just to amplify your look a little bit more. So this was super fun to do.
