This is a tutorial on clipping in extensions, usually it would only take 5 minutes to do this. Once you get the hang of it you'll be a pro!

Step 1: Lay out your extensions, or “wefts,” on a flat surface, grouping together like sizes. A weft of hair is a single row of hair to be clipped in.

Step 2: Section off hair perpendicularly from your part down to your ear.

Step 3: Use a hair clip to hold the section in place.

Step 4: Clip in the weft of hair.

Step 5: Pull down another layer of hair and clip up the excess.

Step 6: Repeat the process up to the top of your hair until finished.

Step 7: Part your hair wherever you would normally and brush through with the Bombay hair brush.

For the most natural-looking results, brushing through and styling the hair - blends the hair perfectly together. Store your extensions in a clean, dry area. Hair extensions should be gently washed after about six uses. Submerge them in water and clean with a shampoo and lightly condition the ends.

Hi, everyone welcome to Bombay hair, and today I'm going to do a step-by-step tutorial, I'm going to be installing my 270 gramm Bombay hair extensions, and these are in the color 60 ash blonde. So this is for the clip in pieces, so these extensions are made with 100 % indian remy hair. These extensions will not slip out because they have these amazing little silicone pieces that really lock the clips into your hair and keeps everything nice and tight. Now, when you get your extensions you're going to notice, you're gon na have all kinds of different sizes. So I want to show you where I put the two clip pieces where I put the for clipped pieces and so on and so forth, because it took me a little while to figure out what worked with my own hair. And I just want to say that everybody is different with their head shape and volume of hair. So what I'm doing in terms of placing the pieces you can do it completely different? If you want it's totally up to you, what's so great about hair extensions, is you can be as creative as you want in the placement of the clip? This is just what I do for my short hair style, so I want to show you how I place them in and what sizes I use in each part of my hair. So on that note, let's get started so what I always do is. I will separate my hair into sections so I'll take the top half of my hair and section it up and clip it, and then I take this section and I will divide it, so we always use the two clip piece sections on the bottom of my head. You can use these for the sides of your hair if you want, but because I have short hair. These are the ones that I like to use. Take one of the clips in your fingers, pull it back to open and pull it forward. To close. So take your hair make sure the clips are open and go one and two all right. So now I'm going to carry on with the next section. So what I'm going to do is release another section of hair. I'M going to take out my clip: go in with my Bombay comb and create another layer, put the extra hair up and I'm going to take my next two-piece section and I'm going to clip it in the higher up in my head that I go the wider. It gets so I'm going to take a three-piece to go into the next layer, release your clip and make another layer in your hair clip up the rest of the hair there and go in with your next piece all right. So we're moving up here, I'm just going to release all of my hair and what I'm going to do is put one big section around my crown and what I do here is again personal preference. I like to take a three-piece clip and pop it right into the middle, and there we go now. You see these little guys here these little pieces of my hair sticking out, and I have a little trick to fix that. What I like to do is use the single pieces on the side of my hair and with the smaller Clips, because they're not as secure as the other larger strands of hair. So I like to backcomb the part of my hair that I'm putting the single pieces in just to make sure that they don't get bumped or slide around, and this really helps, and that is in there see that it's not going anywhere. So I'm just going to install the other single piece on this side and I'm going to backcomb and clip it in okay. So we're going to move up and just grab another section, and this is where I love using the big thick for clip pieces. Do you want to know why? Because it adds so much volume to the top of my head? It just feels awesome. It really keeps my hair looking luminous all day, so I'm going to start from one side here and I just start clipping the pieces down and then we're going to take the other four clip piece all right. So then, just let the top of your hair down and unclip everything, and there we go all right guys so next step we're going to blend the hair together. So what I'm going to do next is take my bombay hair brush. This is specifically designed for hair extensions and it will not break your extensions it'll make sure that they last a very long time, even in your own hair. This brush will minimize the breakage. What I'm going to do is start at the bottom and then I just work my way up the hair and when you start at the bottom, it also helps reduce the breakage. If it's all tangled down here, you'll end up ripping a lot of your hair out. So it's really good to start brushing on the bottom. There we go. I feel like Barbie right now, so I just wanted to quickly talk about a really important part of caring for your new hair extensions. Storing your extensions in a safe place is a very important part of maintaining your new extensions. What I love to do is keep my extensions in the original box that it came with, and this box is so easy, especially for traveling. Oh, my goodness, I just pop it in my suitcase and I'm ready to go and there's also another amazing option which I actually just used traveling about a week ago, I used my Bombay hair hanger and my Bombay hair garment bag. This is like changing you guys. The garment bag is just like any garment bag. You would get in a store. So what I do is I take my hair extensions out and then I put them inside of the Bombay hair clip and I slide it into my Bombay hair, garment bag and then just zip it up and you're all set. You can keep this in your closet. You can keep this in your suitcase if you're on the website right now just click up here and you will find the garment bag and hanger anyways guys. I hope you all have an absolutely amazing day. Thank you.
