What'S up you guys, welcome back to my channel, so today is going to be a natural hair and a wee video all in one. So as you see, i have my natural hair out and it is a hot mess. It is so dirty it's so oily. It'S like so much weight on my hair. It literally looks like i have like just a whole big ass knot, and so i'm gon na be cleaning. My hair and my mom is gon na, be helping me do my hair. So first things. First, we got to scratch the scalp, oh my god, my hair was so dirty and honestly, this scratch, just it just felt so good. My mom tried to comb out my hair, but i'm tender headed, so i usually have to do it myself and i'm using a wet brush. This brush was actually really soft and it got all my tingles out um. If you don't know what a wet brush is. Please look into it. You will never feel anything ever again. Okay, this brush is literally like amazing. I can't use any other brush now now that i know what this is so here i am brushing my hair out and kind of detangling it and i'm going to be dyeing. My hair um i'm going to be using the high color and this is in the color black onyx. I'M going to be dyeing my hair jet black because, as you see in the title, i'm going to be making clippings and i need my hair to match. Okay, we don't want any difference. So a lot of you have seen this clip on my instagram stories. If you don't follow me, follow me now and a lot of you guys thought i was getting a perm, so it's super funny, i'm not getting the perm, i'm just dying. My hair jet black. My hair is like a 1b and the bundles that i'm going to be using is literally like a brown, so i have to dye it some way somehow, and so my mom is doing it. Please excuse the mess in the back. I was organizing and i kind of stopped organizing because i think i'm gon na get this kitchen redone, so i just kind of left it there um but yeah. So my mom is coloring my hair and i'm gon na speed this process up because it's pretty straightforward. Pretty boring she did it in sections to after washing my hair, i'm gon na put some conditioner in it um. We all need some conditioner. As you can see, i need it really bad. I got a big ol head and yeah. My mom is trying to like detangle my hair with that comb. I hate that comb. It hurts so bad. Oh, my god that comb is like the devil. Okay, it's it's the it's the villain in my life, so she tried it didn't feel as bad as it did when it was dry, but yeah. So, once now that the conditioner is in my hair, i'm going to let that sit and we're going to wash out the hair color from the bundles - and this was obviously really really easy, and once we wash it out, we put it like under a dryer, so That i can dry faster while she blow dries my hair and, as you can see again, she tried to use that comb. Oh my god, the villain and she had to use the wet brush, because, oh my god that comb is like it hurts so bad. Like. I said it didn't hurt that bad once my hair was wet, but jeez and honestly look at my hair like yo. The shrinkage part of hair is crazy, like your hair could literally be hitting the floor and once you get it wet, it's like you got a shortcut anyway, so my mom is gon na blow dry, my hair um. I actually didn't record this part because you'll see i turned off the camera and i forgot to record it, but it was just straightforward. So now that my hair is blow-dried, my mom is going to straighten my hair. So my mom, like i said she used to be a hair stylist, so she's super old school and she still has her marcels from like the 90s. I'M not sure when she had these. I don't know if it was in the 80s or the 90s, but i know for a fact that i grew up with the same hair tools. I used to get my hair done with these same exact, hair tools, and you know she knows how to use them. Really really well - and this is really what keeps my hair from frizzing like if i use a regular flat iron uh and i flat iron, my hair, i could go outside and my hair will still frizz up, because it doesn't bring that much heat to my hair. I have really coarse hair, and so when my mom uses these, my hair will be straight for literally like days. So she used these on me and it got my hair really really straight and i absolutely love it, and here i am being a chatterbox talking mad trash. I don't know what i was talking about, but it was. It was definitely giving girl talk, um, so yeah. My mom is still using the marcels, if you guys um, have anyone that you know who still uses these tools. Let me know down below in the comments. I can't be the only one because they don't make tools like these. No more. I wish i knew how to use these. I don't know how to use these. I don't know how to like what temperature is supposed to be at. I cannot use these at all, so this is how my hair looks and, as you can see at the bottom, i need a really good trim. Um i've been needing the trim for a while. Now you guys have been telling me as well running me down like you need a trim. I understand okay, so my mom is about to give me a really good trim, um and yeah she. I love the way my mom trims because she doesn't cut too much off. You know i could have went and got a trim a long time ago, but obviously i was in la and she's in new york and i just didn't want to risk it with somebody else. Just trimming the heck out of my hair. You know people, you say a trim and people give you a cut, i'm not with it. Okay, i will slam somebody on the floor, so i just waited till i got here and she gave me a really good trip. Amen. Okay. So now, let's move on to the clippings. So, as i showed you, i had four bundles and how many bundles you use is really up to you and also the thickness or thinness of your hair. So i used about three bundles and out of one of the bundles. I took this one track as you can see it's folded and i'm going to be using this one track. Well, two tracks, actually i'm gon na be putting them together and i'm going to make one clip in. I have my hair wrapped. I just wanted to show you guys. I haven't had a wrap in so long. I was excited um so anyway. Here i am measuring my head um. This was kind of hard to do because obviously i had a wrap on, but i figured it out anyway, so i'm going to be using two types of clips, so i have one here. This is the size large and then i have another, and this is the size small, so the small i'm going to be using at the top of my head, because they're, smaller and thinner and the large i'm going to be using in the back this one. I have, on my hand, is a large and, as you can see, they're super duper sturdy like i can barely close it, which is great, that's exactly what we want, because we want it to hang onto the hair, our natural hair and i'm also going to be Using thread and needle to sew on the clips so remember this was one track and i folded it into one two. So i cut them. I cut it so that it can be a little more flat and i'm going to take these two tracks and i'm going to glue it onto each other and i'm going to be using a regular hair glue. So i'm going to be gluing it on to each other, just like that, and i actually thought about using a hot glue gun. But honestly, i'm really happy. I didn't because hair glue is made for hair, it's dark and also it's not as thick as a hot glue gun would be. A hot glue gun will be all over the place and it it. You know it gets really hard. We want these clip ins to be super flexible and we want them to not just be like just really hard and bulky, and so the hair glue will allow us to do that, especially because we're still going to be sewing on the clip-ins after and that's really Helpful as well, because this hair glue is latex, which is kind of like uh, i don't want to say jelly it's kind of like rubber, and so it allows us to put the needle through. So, as you can see, i'm putting these two wefts together um. This is going to make a really thick clip in because you know sometimes one weft can just be. You know really thin. This hair is not thin, but i personally have really really really thick hair, so you really have to customize these clip-ins to match your hair. Like, however, many clip-ins, you need match it to your hair, the length you need matches to your hair, the color match it to your hair. However much hair and wefts, you need to glue onto each other, match it to your hair. It'S all up to you. So, as you can see, um it's already glued down and i started pressing it really really hard, and then i took the blow dryer to just enforce that uh the dryness and that you know it was really really stuck together and pressed down. And so i did that this wasn't as hard as i thought it was going to be, but i'm happy i did it before we move on to the clip and part i'm going to show you again how i glued the weft. So i'm going to be taking the salon pro hair glue, i'm going to be putting it on the track at the bottom and just putting it straight across. Just make sure you put a really good layer and then i'm going to be taking that top track and putting it up against each other, make sure you're measuring it, and it's all, even you, don't want wonky and lopsided clippings. Like i said, this glue is made of latex, so it makes it really easy to bend the clip ins, manipulate them and also sew on the clip in i'm going to make sure i press that in as you can see, it's super duper flat and i'm gon Na be using the blow dryer to enforce the dryness and that it's really pressed together and really really flat, and then i'm going to be taking the clip in this is the large clip in because this track is going to be going in the back of my Head i'm going to put a needle and thread through the hole of the clipping and i'm just going to go through the whole of the track. This wasn't as hard as it may sound, because you know it's glue. It wasn't as hard because the hair is latex. So i'm going to show you here those holes at the top i'm going to put the needle and thread through those holes and through the track. So, like i said through the hole through the track, you want to make sure you're getting both tracks and you want to make sure that you're not making it bulky either. It'S really easy to make it bulky, but you know it's really easy to not make it bulky, you can do it and you want to make sure you're lining it up and just keep putting it through those holes until you get to the last hole and the End part was a little tricky to get through because that's where the biggest part of the needle is, but it's not like impossible for sure and i'm just going to keep going all the way down to the last hole. If i would have did this with hot glue, i don't think it would have worked, so i'm really really happy that i used uh hair glue. Okay, so now that all of my clip ins are made, i made about eight or seven, i believe - and i made them all different sizes - um i'm going to take down my hair and my mom is going to part it for me. So me and my mom. Actually used to do this, a lot do my hair and then put the clippings in um a long time ago, when i lived like all the way back in brooklyn um. So this is nothing new to us. We know exactly what we're doing and i'm just showing you guys, because i never made a video about this before and this time i'm actually making the clip-ins. I never made them before um. So here's my mom lining it up with my hair and she's, putting it so that it's really flat, as you can see, she was having some trouble clipping it on because they are super duper tough, which is really good. That means that they're gon na stay in now, i do also recommend teasing the part where you're gon na put the clip in if you have really thin hair. Even if you have thick hair also do it, because i found myself um having to do that. A little bit um, but the clip-ins do work really really well. So, as you can see, this is a shorter clip-in that i had made and, like i said, i mean like about eight or seven and they were all different sizes. I even made some that had like just one clipping on it that was really small. That was going to go at the top, so you really have to dedicate you know you really have to make the clip-ins to how you want your hair to be and how you want it to look. So this is how it looks and then she's putting another another clip in, and this is just so fun because you know i get to like do versatile styles and just like let my hair breathe from the wigs for a second, and i don't know, i was Really excited to do this and i feel, like you know it's not that easy making clip-ins like making clip-ins is hard, and i was just really excited to try. My mom was really struggling with that clip that clip is so tough, it's so funny, okay. So this is how the clip-ins look with my hair, i'm going for a side part. So now my mom is actually going to curl my hair and the clip-ins together and she's, using the marcel irons, of course, because that's what we do over here, these these are irons, are really what my hair, like these help. My hair really say girl for real um, so yeah she's going to curl it and blend it together. This is going to help the clippings in my hair blend together, and i was super happy with how it looked. Obviously, after you get your hair done, you got ta wrap it like the first day. It'S never like perfect, you got ta, wrap it and then the second day you take it down and it's like amazing um, but so far they looked really really great and i was really happy, and so we decided to pin my hair with those little clips. I think they're called banana clips, i'm not sure - and i actually forgot to get a video of the finished product. For some reason. When i do hair videos, i forget to get the video of the finished product, but you guys have seen how it looks on instagram and you guys have been asking as you can see here. This is how it looks. It looks so so so amazing and i'm able to take the clippings out and just change it up and i'm just really happy with it, and so, if you guys like this video make sure you give this video a thumbs up. Let me know down below what you think and follow me on instagram. If you want to see more pictures of this clip in hairstyle, and thank you guys so much and i'll see you in the next video bye, guys.
