Hi, I'm Beth with 50-plus beauty, and I'm excited that you're here with me today to talk hair extensions, most specifically my hair extension. I'Ve had a lot of you who have asked me to explain about my hair extensions and, you always say hair extensions, and I think you probably think that I have them sewn in or I guess it's not sewn in, but taped in or glued in. But no, that is not what I do and I always say. Yes, I have a hair extension because I only have one extension and I'm going to be taking off my extension and I'll show you my normal hair, which should be a lot of fun. So you can see how nice and thin it is in real life. But, coincidentally, about three weeks ago, the irresistible me hair extension people contacted me and asked if I would like to review their extensions, and this was so timely, because I have been using the same extension in my hair, which I'll show you in just a few minutes. For probably two years - and it's very bedraggled in fact, I have never watched it in all that time. Well, I did once, and it didn't turn out very well, so I knew not to wash it again but anyway, I will show you that so I was just on the lookout for new hair extension to replace that kind of ratty. Looking one that I have in now, and so it was wonderful that they contacted me and that I'm able to show you their hair extensions and oh my they are absolutely beautiful and they are so inexpensive. I just can't really believe how inexpensive real human hair can be. So let me get into this and I'll start by showing you my hair extension that I have in now, and it is a one weft extension. This one has five clips. You know take it out for you here, it is oh, this is my normal hair. You know which is not bad. You know I do have hair, but it's just kind of thin and I really like to have a little more hair, a little more volume. This is what my current hair extension looks like, and I got it from Amazon for twenty-five dollars and I had it dyed to match my hair, and I also had it cut because it was longer. This is about a fourteen inch long extension. It has five metal clips on it, and one of the clips has already broken down if it hardly has any little teeth left to grab onto my hair. But that is what I use just in my hair every morning to make it look a little bit fuller and there are days when I don't wear it, but most days I do wear it because I really just don't like this. You know this thin. Look: that's how it looks in the back. That'S my hair! In the back okay, I will go ahead and show you the new extensions. They are irresistible me hair extensions and I think they are pretty irresistible now to start with. You get them in this wonderful little box and then you open the little box and it comes with the hair extensions. There'S the there's the inside with a pretty little hair extension girl in it and I'm almost sixty. So you don't have to be just a girl to wear hair extensions. In fact, I find them wonderful for us more grown-up women, as her hair starts to thin it's just a great little secret that we can use to give ourselves more volume, kind of the volume of younger hair, all parts of its age, including our hair, and having Just younger looking more flowing more beautiful hair and does take off a few years, which I do appreciate. Okay, the hair extensions actually come in this little sanitary pouch and it has two parts. This one says please read, and this is just one little weft in here. It'S long, but it's one of the little thin pieces in here and if you open this, you can check the color and check the length and all of that. But if you open this, then you're stuck with hair extensions. So do just look at this carefully and make sure it looks exactly the way you want it to look. And then the bulk of the hair extensions actually come in this big pouch, and I knew it was going to be right for me because they are very, very helpful there. When you call you speak with a representative directly on the phone and you can text pictures of your hair, you can talk link, you can talk color and in fact I've been working with Anna at irresistible me and she asked if I was planning to dive in Which I am - and she said the platinum blonde - is the easiest to put in a darker blonde in so I ordered them in platinum and I just had them died today. There are two levels of hair extensions at irresistible me. The first is the royal remy and that's the highest. Both levels are human hair and both look beautiful. These are the extensions that I got, which are the highest level that they have at the irresistible me company. These are the royal Remy's and look at that. Absolutely beautiful human hair - and it was just died today to match my hair, which I really appreciate. The royal remy hair extensions start at $ 97 for a full set, which is just amazing, and they now sell this single weft separately, and this starts at 40 dollars. Depending upon the length - and it is absolutely beautiful here - is a look at their one, weft extension versus the one that I had from Amazon - I mean there is really no. There is no comparison in terms of length. What you do is you measure from the top of your ear down to the bottom of your hair, and my hair is 14 inches, but I went ahead and got the 16 inch, which is a couple of inches longer just so I can have them cut. If I wanted to - and I also thought maybe I would go to the 16 - I don't know they have them clear down to 22 inches, which is about but length. So if you're a young girl and really want that, lady godiva look, you can do that with these and again they're all 100 % human hair. So I'm going to go in and put in these extensions I'll, take my little buff out of there and what you do. Is you just take your little. You take your hair and you just section it out about like that and I'll put a little clip here. I wish I had a shorter chair because I'm gon na have to just sort of turn around 3/4 for you. I guess I should tell you what you get. You get 2/3 clip extensions, which are this long and I just went ahead and clip them together. So it would be a little bit thicker and maybe a little more disguise' belen, your hair and that's the first thing we're gon na put in then you get 1/4 clip extension, which is this big Kona here that you can order separately, which is just wonderful and You get five little two clip extensions, you don't have to use them all and I probably won't, but you get five of those and then you get two of these little single ones, just to kind of put in here to kind of blend them in a little Bit better so I'll go ahead and put them in for you and start with this three clip extension that I've already clipped together yeah. I think I'm gon na have problems, because I think my shirt is going to come off, but oh well, we'll see. Let'S see if we can do this, oh my okay here try this! Ladies! You just clip it in here, and these are good strong, clip ease just kind of right along the bottom. You just clip it onto your hair, see that there it is now we'll take this down. Then we're gon na go just a little bit higher than that that one I'm going to go ahead and put this little clippie in there again and then we're gon na go in with this big kahuna, which i absolutely love, and quite honestly, I may end up Just wearing this, rather than all of them, then you just go ahead and stick these in. You put this one on just under that little bone. That sticks out there's a bone at the back of your head and unless you have hair extension, she probably won't know that. But it's where I've always put my my my extension in so that's how it looks very good, I'm just going to click that hair up here now we're going to put in this little two clip extension and you just open the clips they open and close just Like this very very easy, then we're just going to go just a little bit on the top of that other one. I'M going to clip that in and then clip that in right there. I think I'll just use two of these because I think having all of these little two clips is a little too much so then we're going to take this side up clip that up just like that, then we're going to take another two clip extension: we're going To open up the clips, there click click and then I'm just going to put it just a little bit above that other extension and we're almost there girls. Oh my! Oh my oh my gosh. I love this stuff. Oh my! Oh my! This is just gorgeous girls. I am so happy all for like no money this this whole set. I can't remember how much this set is, but it starts at $ 97. No oops, one of the clips are showing so we're just gon na. Do this we're gon na unclip it I'm used to this with my other extension, usually the front clips. I have two reclip just to make sure they're a little hidden. Oh, my okay! I'M loving this already! Okay, nothing like having new hair! Ladies. How weird that, in this day and age, we can actually wear other people's hair. I mean that's very strange: okay, now I'm gon na unclip these these little ones, and apparently I've actually never put these in before. But they said that just behind the ear kind of is a good place for these, and they say that it kind of helps blend things in just behind, just maybe above the ear. Let'S do it above the ear. Okay, you can kind of hear it click. Let'S see and here's the other one, oh, my ladies, this is fun. You know if you have a little extra money. I can't recommend this highly enough. I'M going out with Alan tonight we're gon na go see the movie A Wrinkle in Time it was one of my favorites books as a kid. In fact, I think I miss to read that thing four or five times, but for the life of me. I can't remember the story, but I loved that book. It was like a different world for me, so tonight we're gon na get to see that which I'm really excited about. Okay, oh my now I hope it's looking good in the back. Let me go check it. Real quick, okay, I went ahead and put a little hairspray in the top because I tend to get those little wheat stock things sticking up, and I normally wear that little buff thing in my hair that little bump, because I have such thin hair on the top. But this is giving me a little more body, which I really appreciate so I'll show you how it looks in the back, and I hope it looks. Okay, I've just started playing with this. Ladies, I love this good and I know I'm probably gon na have to cut them they're there, though yeah yeah, I'm gon na, have to cut them. They'Re like that long, which I really love them. I think they are so boho looking and so cool. We can really do boho when we get to be a little more grown-up, those big earrings and long hair. If you want to even long gray hair, I just think it looks kind of cool and kind of like we're kind of happening. We'Re kind of now we're kind of not caring about how we look, but we really do. Of course that is a look at the irresistible me hair extensions and I absolutely love them. I just love them. Oh my! I just think they are the coolest thing ever. It'S like my hair, just lost 10 years. Okay, let's try a little experiment. I'Ve asked Alan to come in the door he hates to be on camera, but I'll give his reaction to this okay come on in honey. What do you think I like it? What does it look better? Does it look better than this yeah, this old rap, yeah yeah, you really like it. I do like it. Okay hold on. So what are your thoughts about it? But if we're loving and kind and giving and look for what we can give back, then generally that's what we receive in life in return. Lisa Brown: Oh, yes. As my hair has thinned over the years (and continues to thin) from growing "mature", I found I needed help with more density. I use LOX Entensions, the synthetic ones, the clips are so comfortable, color is a perfect match, heat-friendly, well made. I wish the clips did not set off metal detectors/airport security; sort of embarrassing when a metal detector goes off and you have to divulge you are wearing fake hair; I don't wear my extensions if I know I an going to have to pass through security :) Love the extensions, don't cut them, you can wear long hair. "They" say, that woman over a certain age, should not wear long hair, I disagree, totally. So tired of these so-called experts telling us more mature women, to dress dowdy, wear less makeup, keep your hair short, don't dress trendy, etc., They can take a hike, I do as I like, all women should. I don't use them very often as they are a lot longer than my normal hair but I do use them from time to time. They are just so much fun! I didn't have to dye them as I got the colour that matched my hair the closest. They were $200 Canada so $140 US I think? They aren't heavy and they look awesome. I honestly got them from a wig and extension store in the mall. I curl mine so they look nice (which means I have to curl my own hair). I can put my hair up or leave it down. Mary Cheney: I keep my hair short because it's so thin and fine. Plus I have a natural colic in the back that makes my part wide and curved as it goes around the back. Other than a wig, which I have several of but never wear because of the smothering feel, are there any suggestions? I use those hair fibers that I sprinkle in which work pretty good, but there's only a couple colors so it doesn't match all that well and I can see the blotches of sprinkles where applied (plus they itch). I can't envision extensions that would work on the crown of my head. Also, does dermarolling help, or just break off the hair even worse? Arrgh!
