So one of the top questions I get asked is: how do I apply my route clips, so I am going to do a sub video for you all today, just to show you how and when I apply my ruthless so really quick before we get going. My name is Janelle and we do all things kirlyam them some. So I use the diva curl route clips they work well. So there are so many different ways to a fiber eclipse, there's literal terms and application methods that were deemed by diva curl. You can find those on a diva curl website, but really, in my opinion, I just think it all boils down to preference. I'Ve tried it what dry so many different ways, I'm going to go over a couple of the ways that I have tried it and had success, and then I'm going to demo for you, my favorite and landed upon what so one of the ways I used to Use the route Clips was, I used to sell my hair a lot wetter than I do now. I would scrunch out excess moisture, apply my product and then I would go right in with the root clips and I would air dry and then once I started diffusing, I would remove the root clips. So I did that for a while, and I got a really really cool tip from a girlfriend Mandy to apply root clips once your hair is completely dry, because then it allows your hair to set. So then, what I would do is, I would style my hair fairly wet. Add my products. Add my root clips air-dropping remove the clips, then diffuse and then put them back in for about twenty to thirty minutes. So I did that for a while. But then I started applying my products to damp hair since I applied products to damp hair. The only time I add root clips in is once my hair is dry and I'm allowing the roots to set, and that is where now, if you are curious about this wash day, I just finished refusing. I will put the link to the diffusing routine, as well as the typical wash day that this hair is from in the description, but for now we're just going to do root Clips. One of the things I want to notate is when you are applying to your curls wet. You want to be more cautious when you grab them and how you clip them. I would suggest like just doing like one, maybe two curls and you want to put it in there very very lightly when it's dry, I feel like you can put a little bit more in and it's not going to give you if your hair's already dry you're, Just getting it to set up, so you don't really have to worry about any link funky lines. So what I typically do is just grab like a section, and you can see I'm literally grabbing like a little section and then I'm just going to lightly slide it in and then let go grab. Some of it didn't necessarily grab all of it. But that's okay, because it's just well my hair setting. So then I come to this back section and I do the same thing scrap and you don't want to do too much so then I toss these forward and then all right here same concept. Here'S well same thing, okay, so you can see those are up. Then, on this side, it's exact same process all the way around. Let'S see like if I was doing this wet, I would probably only grab like this little bit and clip if that makes sense, I would clip the same way at same direction, same application, but I would just clip less so here and these ones I like to Come in make them a little bit higher, hmm see, that's too much hair wasn't quite grabbing it properly, so don't be afraid to like release and reclip. So I like that, to kind of like I like them to kind of blend right there right here as well same thing and where you apply them doesn't matter, you just need to do them where you want volume. Okay, I'm gon na do one in the back of my head. Okay and that's it so this is my preferred way of applying them. I feel like this gets me. The most long-lasting volume tends to last not perfectly but pretty close throughout the entire day. So when I'm setting, I leave them on my hair for about twenty to thirty minutes or the link that takes me to do my makeup or at a store on the house whatever it is, there's no really set time here. I'Ve left him in for an hour. So I'm gon na leave them in him and I'm gon na come back when I'm ready to take them out and show you the rest of the process. It'S all season and we're back with the full face. It'S like my best magic trick, kidding. Okay, so we're gon na go ahead and remove these root clips and see what we're working with. So I just like to you felt really quickly when you're the clip has knocked on something so just hurry and let it go guide. Those strands off then pull it out and I do like to work from bottom to top again you so adding most clips and just really reinforces like what we did like leaving the shower adding hourly. Then, while we diffused just really kids, those worries a chance to sit with that hold you, so that is just after removing the root clips. As you can see, there is quite a bit of volume, but now we're gon na step it up a notch and Bluff. Okay, let us love you, okay, that is just our fingers. Oops. Now I'm going to come in with my skill, massager Scot massages are really so important for her health for hair growth, gal pals, all those things. So this is really a wonderful way to keep this in your routine, especially because I'm doing it right now with the intention of volume, but it also simultaneously cuba's missed out healthy. That'S what I'm talking about so there you have it. So. Thank you again. So much for joining me again. My name is Janelle all things curly and then some, if you haven't already slammed that subscribe button, come it. Let'S just do this, I'm ready. Are you ready? Ok, go slam! The subscribe button hit that Bell, while you're out of turn on those clothes on a vacation, so that you don't miss anything, and I will see you next time - bye,

MegaKratta: Great content as always It would be interesting to get your tips on other curlies to follow, for different hairtypes. I have a hard time finding curlies-tips for ”typical” scandinavian hair, i.e light brown, fragile, frizzy, dry haha. Although following the curly girl method has really given life back to my hair that I used to put heat on every day..

Christine Madrazo: Brava Jannelle, brava!! This tutorial is outstanding. Thank you.

Kate Scalia: Thanks Janelle! I’ve tried root clipping before, but not this way. Defs going to give your method a go next wash day! Thanks! @_fabes_

Nelleke Kost: Dear Lanelle, where can i buy the clips?
