How I Style My Half Up Half Down Pony!!

Hey guys welcome back to my channel so before getting into today's video. I did want to share with you guys a go-to product that i have been using and loving. A lot of you guys asked me how i keep my hair looking good. I do process my hair very often either i'm dark either i'm blonde. Now i currently have the red hair, but products play a big role in keeping your hair super healthy and looking just absolutely beautiful. So i did want to share with you guys my in common magic mist. This video has been highly requested, guys, sorry, that it's taking me this long to actually film it, but i am going to be showing you how i curl my hair and style, my half up half down pony. I live for this style, it's literally my go-to guy. It'S literally my go-to, you will always mainly always see me with a half up half down just because it just looks so freaking good. I love the way it looks. It gives your hair a lot of volume, but if you do want to see how i actually achieved this hair look then keep on watching. I did actually straighten it out this morning. So if my curls are not too tight, it's totally okay, so i'm gon na go ahead and just pour it so normally. What i do guys is, i will part like straight kind of like down the middle on the back and then work with all the left side first, but i still do work in sections, so i'm going to go ahead and clip this hair away. I am going to be using a wand. I am going to use this size of a barrel. I don't know what size this is, but i don't know i'm kind of going for like the tighter curls not too loose, not too tight, but medium curled hair. So you guys will see how it looks, but because i am going to be doing a half up half down. I am going with like a little bit of tighter curls, but also too it kind of works out, because my hair was straight anyways. But the way i do guys is, i literally just wrap the hair around the barrel and i leave like the ends kind of out hold it for a few seconds. I don't really have stubborn hair guys, like my hair, will form and do what i want it to do pretty good, even though i do have extensions in right now as well. So this is not all my full length of hair. My hair is really not this voluminous, but i do have k tips in my hair right now so hold for a little bit so that size barrel actually gives me these type of curls, obviously guys i feel like one curls. I just love them so much. I'Ve been faithful to using my clothes for so long, but sometimes i do get lazy because this is more time consuming. I can normally knock out curling my hair in like 15 minutes with a regular curling iron, but with wand curls, because it's more like smaller sections and it just goes more in depth with like how you curl your hair. It does take me a little bit longer. So my 15 minutes will turn into 30 minutes real, quick, so you're gon na just keep continuing grabbing like little sections, wrapping it around the wand and then, when i do curl my hair guys in a wand or in just in general um. It'S not often that i curl towards my face - i mainly always curl away from my face. So when i go on to this side, i'll curl that way just away from my face, but with the wand, it's like rare that i ever curl my hair towards my face, but i feel like colleen. My hair is my go-to just because like when you're sweaty and hot and your hair does tend to like frizz up it doesn't look bad, you know, and then i always result to doing a half up half down when my hair is already days old and needs To be washed because it'll tend to get oily at the root and i do not wash my hair everyday, i will push for every five days to six days of washing my hair, especially because my hair is color treated. So i do want my color to last long and then my hair to feel good, because the more you wash it out, the more you do dry out your hair. So this is what the curls looks like guys, you're going to kind of just want to work in sections guys. So the main reason why i do love actually using wand curls is because, when i curl my hair with the curling iron, normally my curls will like intertwine together, whereas like when i do one curls, my hair and my curls, like kind of stay separate, don't get Me wrong: i still have to kind of like separate it throughout the day, but for the most part, like the curls, don't really intertwine together as much as it does with the normal curling iron curl. But obviously, if you do have stubborn hair you're going to want to leave it on the wand a little bit longer, that's why it is so important to use a heat protectant in your hair, which i already done so, but it is very important to use heat Protectant on your hair, because you do not want to fry out your hair, you want your hair to be as healthy looking as can be, and then also, if you want to, since your hair is nice and like warm, you can also hold the curl alright guys. So i'm gon na go ahead and finish this whole side of my head and then, when i move to the other side, i'll go ahead and show you guys my technique there, it's kind of very similar, it's literally the same technique except i'm just kind of swapping. My wand over so that my hair is this way and then i start rolling with my right hand, i'm gon na go ahead and finish off this side guys. This hairstyle guys is super freaking, easy watch. Y'All are gon na see you from the first time. I saw ya, you were not like the others, a cool kind of melody. You rattled, my cage without warning, kept it upright till the morning a new kind of ecstasy you'll find a different side of me. The one i'd like to be a different side of me. Yeah you'll find a different side of me like someone pretty neat a different side of me all right guys so now that i'm coming here to the back well, what i do is i normally section off another piece to kind of keep the same curl way. I don't change the direction until i get to this side, but i will normally keep the back side the same exact way. I know. Sometimes, when you are curling your hair, it could get a little bit harder to curl the back and but just take your time with it guys, like don't rush it, the more you take your time with the hair and the curl you'll get obviously better results. If you also have like stubborn hair you're going to want to spray your hair with hairspray, like kind of missed it before you curl it, but because my hair is days old and my hair curls fairly easy - i don't do it till after, but you can do Before or after, if that's what works better for you and then i know normally too, like people like to style their hair before they actually curl it. I kind of like to curl it and then i'll put it up in my half up half down, but i'm going to go ahead and finish off the backside guys and then i'll continue talking to you guys right now, you'll find a different side of me. Like someone pretty neat a different side of me now that i finished like more than half ways, this is what my curls do look like, so i'm gon na go ahead and just kind of keep that same sectioning, so i'm gon na take this little bottom part. Literally just a section to my ear and then clip the rest of the hair away. I know the lighting might be a little bit darker because i did move you guys over to this side. But that way you guys can better see you're still going to keep the same sectioning except you're, going to hold the wand on um the left hand, instead of the right and then kind of just twist away from your face. Keeping that same technique holding the ends of your hair and then holding that curl for a few seconds and then, like i said you can either let it go or you can like place it in your hand and hold it until the hair kind of cools off And then you can let it go and then you're gon na kind of just keep doing that to the entire side of this head. Keeping that same technique - i know sometimes working with the one guys could be super tricky because don't get me wrong when i used to curl my hair with the wand, it was so hard guys i burned myself so many damn times. I'Ve had so many scars from a freaking wand because i don't use a glove like i hate using the glove i feel like. I can't work with it. So it's been a lot of practice and i've used like the wand, so many freaking times already that i've kind of just developed a technique and it just comes easy now, the more you do it the easier it will become. So i feel like once i get to this side of my face as well, because it's not such a large section anymore and we already curled like the entire, like more than half of the way. It'S just an easier process. You rattled my cage without warning kept. It upright till the morning a new kind of ecstasy you'll find a different side of me. The one i'd like to be a different side of me, yeah you'll, find a different side of me. Like someone pretty neat a different side of me, i didn't even realize that i've been filming this entire video. Only with my vanity light, i didn't have the lights on here in the room, i'm so dumb. Sorry, if, like a little bit, has been like a little bit on the darker side, but i'm gon na go ahead and place. You guys right here in front of me that way it could just be easier and you guys can see like how i do the half a path down. It'S honestly, very simple guys i feel like you could achieve this. Look literally like the last few days of your hair being dirty that way, you don't have to feel gross and have your hair down and worry about, like your hair, looking oily and it still looks freaking good, so i'm gon na go ahead and leave my wand Still on because we might have to do some little touches here and there once we do, have our hair completely up in the half of half down look, but i like to get my curls out of the way that, when i do put my hair up, i Feel like when i curl my hair before actually doing the hairstyle, it gives me more of a voluminous look. I don't know if i'm saying that, but it just gives me more volume. I know like some people do, sell it afterwards, once it's already enough, but for me myself, i, like the volume, look, so if you guys like that too, follow the sickness, but there's no right or wrong way to do it so the way i do start off Guys, i do have my part here in the middle: if you are a person that does like the pc bangs go ahead and leave the bangs out. If you don't, you can go ahead and achieve this. Look completely having your hair all the way up, i'm going to go ahead and take like a little fine-tooth, comb and kind of just take my bangs out. You know the amount of bangs you want and what looks good for your face. So that's what i'm gon na do now. I really don't really tie it um i'll kind of just hold it in my mouth just to make it easier. But if you don't like to put your hair in your mouth, you could go ahead and like clip it off together. So the way i like to do it guys. So obviously, what you're going to be needing is a spray bottle of water hairspray. Hopefully i have enough hairspray. If not, i have to go get some downstairs and then you want kind of like a brush but like the soft bristle one, because you're gon na want it to be nice and sleek and then also the fine tooth comb with me. Having k tips, it's so hard for me to achieve me getting a straight line back here. So i'll kind of just use my nail to kind of give me that straight line, but it does not have to be perfect guys. Your hair that falls over will cover it, so what you're going to do is go to like the tip of my ear and kind of just go up to where i want my my high pony to be so. I'M gon na go ahead and move you guys up because i feel, like you guys, are kind of too low. I, like my half up, half down to be literally right at the top of my head, so i'll do the same for the other side. Do it as perfect as you want it um to your liking, and then we can go ahead and start wetting the hair, so i'm good right there guys. I have my bangs out here so now. What i'm gon na do is i'm going to actually be taking. My water spray bottle and kind of just fraying that part that i'm going to be combing out right here in the front. I'M going to take my fine-tooth comb and kind of brush up to make sure that i get all the little tangles and the little pieces of hair, nice and sleek before we start to brush out so kind of work with me guys, because i do have um K-Tip extensions and i do kind of want it like hidden. I don't want it to be shown. So now is when i will be taking my brush and kind of doing that same brushing up motion to just make sure that it's nice and you don't have like crazy little bumps. I like using a brush just because i feel like it makes your hair literally like nice and sleek, like i love it. Okay, but make sure you're, also like holding your hair, like with the nice firm, hold. Okay. So now that i have that guys, i'm going to go ahead and set it with hairspray and get your hair hairspray. And then i'm going to take my brush once again to make sure that i have all the hairs that i want up and out of the way besides my bangs and then obviously the hairspray will hold it all in place and just give you like that. Clean look so because i do have extensions guys. Please ignore this portion because i have k-tips. So i want to just make sure that my hair kind of covers all the q-tips that are trying to peek out, even though it's not gon na be fully covered. But i'm gon na go ahead and get a little scrunchy like this and use it to tie my hair. You do want to keep this part nice and tight guys so try to tie it as many times as you can to give it that tight hold. So, literally by the end of the day, it might even just give you a headache if you are not used to it, because it is going to be pretty tight on your head. So now that it is up, i'm going to go ahead and just kind of try not to don't go too vicious and hard, because you could easily mess up your hair that you just did so now that we have our hair here, guys see how it just Looks more voluminous already without even um teasing the hair, so obviously we are going to be teasing, so our hair is not done, but what i do want to point out is you see how like more voluminous, it looks when you pre curl your hair before styling? It i feel like when i curl my hair after it's already up. I feel, like my hair, doesn't give me the volume that i want. I'M gon na kind of just take a piece of the hair that i have back here, just like from the bottom of the pony, because obviously you don't want to make it obvious, but you're gon na get a piece of a hair spray it out with hairspray. Make sure it's nice and sleek and then you're gon na start wrapping it around like your little ponytail that we just created and kind of just camouflage and hide the the rubber band. And then, at this time is when you're going to be taking a bobby, pin and kind of just fastening it and securing it at the back of the little pony, but just make sure you secure the hair, because, obviously you don't want it to like wrap around Once it's already up and styled, you could get away with using one bobby pin i like to use two just in case my hair wants to try to sneak away, and then i just place it right at the back. That'S what it looks like guys and at this time is when i will actually be parting. My hair just a little ponytail area, guys i'll be parting. It like this and then i'm going to tease it just to give it more of like a umph and then obviously i'm going to spray with some hairspray tease it a little bit more and then brush it out. So now i'm going to take like some top layers. Do the whole teasing method again and i'm actually teasing with my fine-tooth comb. I'M gon na just tease it some more and kind of brush it out after i tease it, and i'm going to do the same on this side because right now we are just creating that volume for that pie, pony, okay and then brush it out. So you see how cute that looks. I guys you cannot go wrong with a half up half down pony ever so i'm gon na go ahead and just spray, my hair, to make sure that it gives me like the volume and my hair, just kind of stays. Put and then, if you need to do more curls guys, this is where you want to like. Do your little touches. My hair was straight prior, so i feel like my hair kind of isn't as curled as i wanted it to be, but it still looks fine. It still looks good, so if you have your bangs too and you feel like your bangs - need more curling go ahead and do so now, because this is just you touching up like the finished product and we're literally almost done guys. What i like to do is spray a little bit of hairspray on my hands and kind of just brush it on my bangs, so that it doesn't overwhelm the hairs and, like i don't know, just makes it too stiff and hard and voila guys. This is my finished product i feel like you can never go wrong with a half up half down guys like this is why i wear the shirt of it. I feel like you, can look super cute just down super cute dressed up like. I just feel like this hairstyle goes perfect with anything, and it just looks so good.
