Black Women Deserve Beautiful Hair Extension Packaging

Hi, my name is tiffany gatlin, ceo and founder of lasting hook, beauty when i started lasting hooked aside from ensuring that my product was non-toxic. I thought about how i wanted my customer to feel when they opened up the package. I wanted package that was gorgeous and vibrant, because that's how i see my customer when white women wear hair extensions, it's cool, it's a feature in l magazine or a hot topic on entertainment tonight when black women purchase hair extension, it's rooted in shame. We are reduced to purchasing extensions from beauty, supply stores or through dm. In fact, the crown act was created in part to give black people clearance on how to wear our hair. Hair extensions impart is a form of expression, art and creativity. It'S beauty even before makeup. Our hair sets the tone for our overall look for five decades. Black women have been made to feel that synthetic hair extensions are cheap. The alternative you buy when you can't afford human hair extensions ghetto, a hood beauty store commodity, only worthy of being stuffed in a plastic bag. It'S important for me to break that narrative and create a new standard of beauty for a product that has gone undeveloped for five decades. It'S never been a priority until now, premium synthetic hair deserves premium packaging. I want black women to feel confident and good about the choice they make when they buy my product. We deserve better and i'm going to make sure we get it.
