It'S hey guys, welcome back to another video, i'm gon na be doing four braids on my freshly washed hair. I already have a video up of four braids on my channel, but i want to do another one where i'm talking a little bit more because in that video i don't think i talked or said anything. I'M gon na be doing another video where i'm talking showing you guys what i'm doing, i'm trying my best to show you guys what i'm doing it's all gon na, be my natural hair. My other video i had like a twa a short, a short little afro. So i did four braids on my hair. While it was short so now, i'm gon na do a video of my hair being long and doing four braids on just my hair. I don't feel like adding any hair, so it's just going to be all my hair. I really want to do the soft edges today. Let me go ahead and blow dry, my hair. Just to tease you once a bit and i'll be right back and get started. My hair freshly blow dried. Show you guys everything i'm using today, you're gon na need a rat tail comb for sure i usually use shiny gel when i do my clients hair, but for me i need to do like a pomade. I usually do this when i do stitch braids anyway. Is this lock in i love this locking jaw, comb clips baby, some edge control, a baby flat iron and yeah the strength of a thousand men. So let's get started okay, so let's get started. I first started off by putting a middle part down my hair, so i didn't want my four braids coming from the middle top of my forehead, i'm gon na show you exactly what i mean so right. There is where i did my last video and i started from like the middle of my head, but instead i wanted to start abrupt my eyebrow, so instead of it right there like you know, i started it right there instead, because i didn't want it to like All of the braids to start from the middle, if you can understand what i'm saying then yeah so see how i'm starting a part. That'S like right above my brow, instead of it being like right in the middle of my nose going towards the back. So that is the look i was going for and it came out perfect. So since we're doing soft edges, we want to make sure that you get your baby hairs out of the way. So you don't get any gel or anything on them because they will be over saturated if you just put gel on them by accident, and we want to do a soft baby hair. Look. So, that's why you need to be careful, make sure you saturate the entire part, um you're, going to be working with make sure you comb all the way through so that you make sure everything is detangled. Then you want to go back to the front and you want to make sure you part off a small section, so you can part it in three three small pieces, so you can start braiding. So i did end up stitch braiding. What i did is basically use my pinky to pick up the piece of hair that i wanted to pick up next and put it into the braid and just kept on braiding, and i think i only did the stitch braids really on the outside. I don't think i really did it on the inside of the braid, because i couldn't really see that well but yeah. I just used my pinky to pick up the next piece of hair. I wanted to stitch and insert it into the braid and just kept on going yo me. So this braid we're working with here is going to be a a bigger braid, just because it's a lot more a lot more hair, especially in the crown in the middle um. So basically you want to make sure that you saturate every single piece. That is the root on this braid. Make sure you comb absolutely all the way through, so that it's detangled, because you don't want to have to stop and try to use your comb to get in between those areas that are you're struggling with, because it is a thick area. So like again, you're gon na piece that section off in the front put three small pieces and you're gon na wan na do about three, maybe two to three strokes and then you can start picking up hair from the back and i did end up stitch braiding. This as well a little bit um, i basically like i said before, used my pinky to pick up any hair that i want to pick up next and just kept on braiding. Now, if you want a detailed video on how to braid, i don't have one just yet, but there's plenty of videos on youtube that you can check to see exactly how to braid. This is me stopping because my arms were hurting and i had just got started. You know you better. Yes, i'm gon na show you guys how i braid from the back. What i usually do is just use my pointer finger to just pick up any hair that i, that is just on the outside of the braid and insert it on the braid i'm already working on and just keep on braiding. I hope that's a good explanation of what i'm doing but yeah i'm just picking up hair as i go basically with my pointer finger and if your hair is feeling frizzy just make sure you add some gel so that you can lay your hair down and the Braid is looking absolutely flawless and seamless. You don't want your braid to look frizzy. So that's why i went ahead and added gel here and there throughout the braid. This is just me doing the next braid um. I went ahead and sped up this side just because you know we've already went through exactly what i just did so i went ahead and spread this side up. Oh my know you better now, when you're doing these baby hairs, you want to make sure that you don't have any gel or anything on them. I did end up cutting my baby hairs just a little bit just because i felt like it was too long. I know people on the internet are absolutely cringing at their phone or laptop watching this video just because i'm cutting my baby hairs but yeah. That'S just what i wanted to do. So i cut it as short as i wanted to um after that you're going to want to take a small baby like flat iron. It'S like, i, don't even think it's like an inch flat iron, but it's probably like half an inch of a flat iron and you're just going to want to take the flat iron, put your hair in it and you're going to want to curve it backwards backwards. Yep just like that some girls, so i always use, got to be gel for my edges, the black jar or bottle whatever um. I always. If i'm doing soft edges you just want to get the gel directly on the scalp, not on the ends of the hair. You don't want to get any gel at the ends of the hair, because you're giving it that soft look. You just want the gel to be directly on your scalp and now at the end of the hair. I hope that makes sense, but yeah take your time. Doing your edges guys but yeah. This is the end of the video make sure you like comment and subscribe comment down below what you want to see next, and i will see you guys in my next one. You

Char Turner: your braids look awesome. I'm still working on trying to get my cornrows to look that neat. *sigh* it's your hair/edges, do whatever you want to do with them. we all recognize that "*whew* my arms are hurtin'-hurtin' pause and slump", you didn't even need to say anything
