Hello, my name is mickey and welcome to my channel in today's video. Oh man here comes another one. I'M gon na be doing a review on halo, hair extensions. Now, if you don't know what halo hair extensions are it's basically a weft of hair with a string on it, that's kind of like a plastic string or a rubber string, i'm not exactly sure what it's made out of, but it's basically an easier way to give Yourself, some extensions, and so i'm going to be testing that out now, if you're new here or you enjoy my channel, don't forget to give it a thumbs up and don't forget to click that big red button that says subscribe. Now an amazon seller reached out to me and asked if i could do a video reviewing their ricoh hair extensions. Everything i'll be talking about, would be listed in the description box below including these hair extensions, if you guys want to check them out now. Once again, these were sent to me by an amazon seller. Now this brand is called rico, it's r-e-e-c-h-o and they have a bunch of hair extensions. My very first hair extension video was actually by this brand i'll, actually leave it in the eye up here. If you guys want to check that out now, if you have watched any of my hair reviews, you will know i hate hair. I cannot stand doing my hair. It takes for ever to do anything with it even to curl it like this today. It took me like an hour because i'm just so terrible at my hair and it really just doesn't cooperate, no matter what kind of styling products and stuff i use it. Just it never looks great. I always see all these youtubers with such beautiful, like waves and curls, and i'm just like how did you do that? These halo hair extensions uh have a transparent wire, that's adjustable and removable, and we're gon na be seeing what that's all about. I got this in the shade dark brown and this retails for 11.99. To me, that's like super affordable, because, if you don't know, extensions can go anywhere from i guess 11.99 to about a thousand dollars. It depends what brand you get them from and what kind of hair now this is synthetic hair. So it's not real hair. So i don't really know what the deal is with that. I know that was synthetic hair. It can get tangled easily it's more shiny. It has a lot more static and these hair extensions definitely have a lot of static because, where i live, it's very very dry and where it's dry, it's always prone to more static electricity on the amazon website. Here you can actually scroll and they show you how to apply it: how to fix the string, how to adjust everything, how to change like the wire? If you need to - and i really like that, because it shows you just basically how to style it. This actually looks easier to me than clip in extensions because those were just, i don't even know like those were so tough for me to do. I had no idea what i was doing. I still don't even know how what i'm doing today, because i haven't really touched the hair extension since then, and i'm just winging it what's really nice about this - is that they include a comb in the package. Here'S the comb and they include extra wires for the halo clip. They also have these cute little uh hair ties that came in the package. I really really like, like this kind of velour scrunchie, and it comes with a little spray bottle, so you can put conditioner or whatever else uh in the extension, so these are kind of like a nice extra touch. I am just going to go ahead and do my best here. I have watched some videos on halo clips and even then i still don't really know what the hell i'm doing, because i'm just really not a hair person. When i say i do not like hair or doing hair or styling hair, i mean i just i can't do hair period. I feel like this is a decent match for my ooh okay. So there is a string on here. That is crazy, because the only hair extensions i've ever seen are ones that, like this, have the clips, but i've never seen one with this like band before i mean in real life. Of course i've been watching videos and stuff, but this is kind of new. So here is the hair extensions, they're, really really pretty and they're very long. These are 20 inch extensions and, as you can see, my hair is still fairly short and it is in dire need of a trim because i feel, like my hair - is just really not growing at this point. Oh no, it actually looks very similar. I thought my hair was going to be more of a darker, almost black color, but it seems like dark brown is almost an exact shade match, which is pretty crazy. That'S pretty awesome! This is the weft that has the little string, the hair halo on there, and then i have these two extra ones that i believe go on the side here. If you want more added volume on amazon, it says that these are five ounce hair extensions. Now, i'm not really, you know knowledgeable about hair extensions and weight. I decided to convert five ounces into grams and it said 140 grams, let's get into the halo hair piece, because this is the main event here. This is what we are going to be putting on today. I'M not sure if i'm going to put on the side extensions just yet, because i just really am not a fan of the clip-ons. So first thing i'm going to do is kind of uh see where we are in the size of this band. So i'm just going to kind of swing this over my shoulder - and i know that this is supposed to go like behind your ears, this wire piece. This feels so delicate that i'm not sure i'm the right person to be using this, because i am one of those people who break things easily, because i'm extremely clumsy and delicate things just should not be in my presence, because they just never really work out. I feel like this is a good tightness. I might tighten it just a smidge, but i feel like this part down here needs to go up just a little bit, because this is kind of hanging down really on the back of my head and it doesn't feel very comfortable. So what i'm gon na do is i'm gon na try to tighten this now it has this little uh piece of i don't even know if it's plastic or metal, but it's squeezing the string with pressure, and i believe, if i pull this little string here, i'll Be able to adjust the actual hair extensions, but i'm not really feeling like this is gon na move. I really like that. I have extras, because i could totally see myself really this up now after you pull the little string. I don't know if you guys can see this little rectangular black thing there, but you have to take the pliers and now you're just going to push down on the uh. What is it wrench, whatever it's called, and now this piece is flat again and we're just going to cut off this excess string, because we ain't going to need it. I definitely feel like this is more of a better fit and the hair extensions go up. A little higher on my crown, rather than sagging all the way back down here on the back of my head next step is we're going to part the hair. Oh, my god, this thing is getting so crazy because of the static electricity, so i have my handy dandy little separator here on my comb. I don't even know what these are called. What are these called? I am very nervous about this part why? I have no idea um, i'm just really not good at hair period, so i get really nervous and weird about this kind of stuff. So now you're going to part the hair uh right behind your ear area. So you want to feel where your ears are and kind of like go wherever your crown is. So the crown of your head should be right here, like basically the dome of your head, where it sticks up, and i'm just going to part this like so, and i'm going to bring it back kind of like this. So you have a circle on your head. You want your part to be very flat, so, as you can see, my part is not very flat. I'M going to have to kind of like redo this area and make it as flat as possible, so the string will be able to rest nicely. Instead of you know being bumpy and not smooth, so let me try this again, so i feel, like this part, is a lot better than the last one that i just did. This one looks a lot smoother this side, i'm gon na have to kind of fix. I feel like this is so uneven, but i also feel like my head is just very uneven. You want this part showing back here, so the hair extensions can clip into these areas down here on the back of your head. Hopefully, you guys saw what i was talking about, because i can't see the viewfinder when i'm turned around like that, so i'm gon na clip my hair just like so to keep this intact. So i basically have like this weird half halo head going on right now. Here comes the big part: we're gon na try and put this guy on the head, nice and easy, and just try to get this in one. Try, i'm really trying not to tangle this more than it already is because of the static electricity but uh yeah. I'M just kind of delaying the inevitable here, because again this just makes me so nervous. I'M gon na open up the clips in here, so they are ready to be inserted in my hair. Hopefully you guys can see this. It'S really hard because i cannot see the viewfinder. I can't really see what i'm doing back here, but i'm just going to place the hair extensions, i'm just going to make sure the string is following my part here now it looks pretty invisible like when you're just looking at the middle part right there. You can't really see it that much it's not that noticeable. So i'm really surprised because i thought this was gon na, be you know very, very showy, you're gon na see, like all the things going on up here now that we have this set up with the uh string and the sides. Here i got everything nice and clipped in so we're gon na go ahead and release this crown part here, and hopefully this works out and it looks good. Oh my god. Oh my god, you can't even look at that. You could barely even tell that. I have it it's right here, it's right there in the center and it's really not that noticeable. I think, because i have a little bit of hairs in here. It might have uh kind of made it a little bit more obvious, but for the most part it doesn't look that obvious: let's go ahead and bring the hair to the front. Oh okay, this is a little weird. I think i'm gon na need a little bit more hair, so this is the other reason why i don't really like hair extensions, because i have so much hair that if i were to buy hair extensions, it would be extremely expensive because i would need so much Because this alone is not enough, as you can see, i have a lot more hair than these hair extensions can really offer me. I may have to add the extra wefts here in the side, because again, this is just not enough hair for your girl here. The shade is a very great match, but again it's just not enough hair for uh, just the amount that i have so i'm just kind of using my mirror to look here. So hopefully this is catching on camera um. I can't really tell i feel, like i just need more hair back there, and i don't know i just looks really really good in the back. I just really wish that there was a little bit more volume, maybe on the sides. So i think i'm going to have to take the two extra wefts or the two extra clips of hair and stick them on the side and i feel like that, might actually work. Here'S the other hair extension and i'm just going to place this in here ever so carefully, and i did not open that one. Let'S try this again all right, so we're just gon na slip this right into the hair and clip it in all right. Oh wow. Okay, we got some extra hair on that side. Wow that made such a huge difference. Look at that! Stop it stop it right now i look like i have mermaid hair. Look at that. Oh my god, i feel so like princessy, like i feel, oh, my god. This looks so great with the added like side, uh extension, this is so freaking pretty like. I wish my hair was this long now, but this is just wow. This looks so much better than i would have imagined all right. So now i'm really excited to put on this side, so let's go ahead and add a little bit more hair to this side of my head. This is a little crazy for me, because i thought that i would never actually like hair extensions like after i put them on. I was like it's not gon na blend very well. I'M never gon na be able to find my exact shade match. I'M never gon na be able to make it look good, but this is so different from the actual clip in hair extensions, because the back is actually very very comfortable because it's not filled with clips and it's not tugging on my hair, because when you have clips And you have so much weight of the hair. The clips tend to kind of pull on the back of your head, so essentially you're losing a little bit of hair back there because of the weight of the hair and the clips from the extensions. And i just really don't like that feeling because i'd like to keep all my hair intact. Oh my god, this is just like night and day difference from the other hair extensions that i tried, and this is you guys, like that's freaking crazy. Now i actually was sent like three different packages of hair extensions, so she sent me the halo hair extensions, which is the piece with the band. So that's one piece: there's a different product on there, where you can get the halo piece and the two side - extensions that i just put in, which is this guy right here. This is the three piece set. It has the halo piece that goes on the crown and the two uh extensions for the side of your head, or you can, you know, put them even more in the back. If you want look how much hair this is. This looks so good. I still can't get over like the shade match. Okay, this is amazon, 11.12 hair extensions and they match absolutely perfectly. With my hair now granted, i have a little bit of bleach left in my hair, so you're gon na see like light shades of brown in there and a little bit of red but other than this little uh discoloration. Here my hair looks beautiful. Like look at this now, i feel like with just the halo piece. It'S not enough. I just don't see it happening with just one piece of hair. Now, if you're going to purchase like maybe the more expensive ones that have more weight, maybe one piece will be enough, but for this instance here with the amazon, the ricoh halo clip, i feel like you're going to need the side you're going to need the side. Extensions, that's just my honest opinion there. You have to get really close in order to see the actual string that is holding the hair extensions in, and i thought that it was going to be extremely obvious. I thought people were going to look at the top of your head and be like wow there's a plastic string there, but you really cannot tell unless you're standing like directly on top of my head. That'S just crazy that it blends so nicely and it just looks so fantastic. So again, the first one was just the uh halo clip and that one is 11.99 so 12. If you want just the halo clip, i pulled up the extensions that i'm wearing now, which is the again halo clip with the two side, extensions which is the one that i definitely recommend unless you have like. Maybe you already have side extensions and you just want an extra halo. Then i would advise getting just the halo, because why would you need extra hair extensions? Now, if you're, someone like me who has extreme amounts of volume like you have thick hair? It'S you know voluminous, then i would definitely advise getting the three piece. If you have more thinner hair, i think you might be able to get away with just the halo hair extensions, which is pretty nice. These are 20 inches three pieces and 240 grams. So now that i'm actually having it like on my hair, like it's all on my head, it does feel pretty heavy. So i believe just the halo hair extension could be 5 ounces. It could be 140 grams because then, if you add the two sides, it's basically adding you know another 100 grams to the head. So you have 50 here and you have 50 here it makes it 240.. Hopefully i'm making sense. I don't think i mentioned this, but the three-piece halo, extensions, cost 19.99, okay, so 10 dollars more and you get the two extra clips on the side and you can have this. You can have mermaid hair. Just like me now. The other thing people mention about synthetic hair is that it tangles easily and it sheds a lot for the tangling um. Just don't with your hair. That much i mean i keep sitting here and like touching my hair and messing with it, but i would say: try not to mess with your hair as much as possible when you're wearing the hair extensions. The other thing is that a lot of people say it sheds, and i will say this thing is a shedder. It sheds just as much as my dog's hair there's a lot of just hair extension here all around here on my lap on my futon everything. So you do have to be kind of careful not to really mess with the hair extensions once they're in your hair, but i can't help it because it just looks so good. I can't stop touching it. I can't stop playing with it and i feel like the more that i touch it and like play with it. It'S just blending more and more in with my hair, because the curls are kind of loosening up up here, because up here it used to be a little bit more curlier in the beginning of the video and now that i'm kind of just playing with it. It looks a little bit more natural because the curls aren't so freaking tight. I'M going to go ahead and say that i love these hair extensions. I was not expecting this at all, especially someone who really hates doing hair and really sucks at doing hair. This just looks absolutely beautiful and i'm so happy about this, because i finally found hair extensions that are extremely affordable and still look real good.
