Hey guys, it's your girl, lizzy and welcome back to a brand new video before we start this video make sure you guys subscribe to my channel if you're not subscribed already, and if you guys are. I love you guys so much but yeah. If you're not subscribed, make sure you guys hit that subscribe button and let's jump into this video okay guys, so today we're going to do a little bit of arts and crafts. I want to dye my hair extensions because i wanted to match my hair, as you guys can see, my hair is like a bright red color and my hair is like short, it's like up to here. It'S really short and winter's coming up balls coming up. I want to have nice long luscious hair, because why not winter ball? You know you're gon na want some length. So if you guys watched my previous videos, you guys know that i own lexi hair extensions. I got them about a year ago. I probably wore them a handful of times because of covid. I didn't really wear them as often i couldn't do my makeup, so i couldn't have you know the full glam with the nice makeup, the nice hair, but i kind of want to do something different and i just want to do a little bit of arts and Crafts, so the color of the extensions i have are chocolate brown, it's 22 inches long, so it is very, very long and i actually been wanting to dye my hair extensions. I wanted to dye it when i had blonde hair, but i was a little scared because i'm like what, if it doesn't come out good, i spent almost about 300 350 on these hair extensions. So if i mess them up, i am going to be sad, but now that my hair is red and honestly i just want to have length i'm just gon na, do it i'm going to give it a try. I tried watching videos on youtube people dying their hair extensions, but i don't really see that many people going from like a dark color to a light color when it comes to hair extensions. It was more like light, hair, color and then going darker and yeah. I think i'm going to be one of the first ones to try to bleach hair extensions, so the plan is to use the l'oreal, quick, blue dye or bleach for the lightening process, and then i got my developer. I went to sally's just a couple of hours ago and i got the salon care volume. Developer. 30 volume developer cream um. This is my go-to. I use this all the time, i'm pretty sure a lot of people use this. This is like definitely the go-to, so we're going to mix these two together to bleach the hair and then we're going to dye it red. Hopefully it comes out good, i'm going to do one little strand first before we apply it on the whole hair, because i rather ruin one strand instead of doing the entire hair. You know, because i want to see if it's actually going to lighten it should because it is human hair, 100, human hair. So if it isn't lexi, we got a problem because you lied to me we're gon na. Do that and then after we do that, we're going to start adding the color, which is obviously red, so i do use this brand right over here. It'S the ion brights in red yeah. This is my go-to. It smells so good. I love this. It doesn't damage my hair honestly. It makes my hair feel so soft and so nice and i absolutely love it so yeah, that's what i'm going to use for the red. I actually did find another hair dye that they did have at sally's and i've never seen this brand before, but when i saw it on like the counter, i actually liked how the color looked in the photo, but before i bought it, i went on instagram because This brand has an instagram and i wanted to see how it looked before i bought it because i didn't want to waste. You know like 12 15 on hair dye. If it wasn't worth it, it's actually a brand called suavecita. The color is called mantra, but it's red. It'S honestly, like a nice, bright red, it's very similar to this color, from what i saw on instagram and what i saw at the store, i'm hoping it's going to be the same color, because i actually want to use this on this. To see how it looks. I'M going to bleach the hair first and then we're going to go with the red and we're going to go from there and see if this turns out the way. I want it to turn out but anywho, let's just jump into this video okay guys. So we are a little bit close now, but this is the best way i can set the camera up. So you guys can see what i'm doing. I do apologize if you know we're a little closer. You don't want to see me this close, but this is the best i can do okay, so i have my little mixing bowl where i can add the bleach powder and the developer and then we're just going to mix mix mix in we're going to apply it Onto the extensions again, i'm going to do only one strand, so i'm going to work on this strand over here first, because i'm not trying to mess up the entire hair if it doesn't come out good. I got myself some aluminum paper because i see people use aluminum paper, so i'm just guessing. I should use aluminum paper. Let'S begin, i grab some gloves because i don't want my fingers to burn i've dyed my hair without gloves before when it came to bleach and it's not a fun experience, so i'm going to use one sheet just to go on the table, so i don't ruin My table because who wants to ruin their table and i'm going to grab another piece, i'm going to put it on top and that's where i'm going to lay the first piece of weft i've dyed extensions before, but i've dyed blonde to red back in high school Worked perfectly fine, but the hair again was blonde. I didn't have to bleach it because i bought it blonde. So this is a new experiment. It'S exciting, honestly. I love doing anything that has to do with hair. So this is going to be fun. I already brushed all the hair, but we're going to brush it one more time to make sure there's no tangles, because we don't want to miss anything. I really need to get this part of the extension dyed because i don't want there to be any brown parts at the top like round tints, i'm going to add some powder and some developer in here honestly guys. I do not measure the product. I honestly just eye it because i've been doing this for so long that i feel like. I know what i'm doing but definitely follow instructions if you guys are doing this for the first time, because you want to get the right consistency and you don't want it to be too dry or too watery. Okay. So i'm going to start by doing one scoop. So i'm just going to grab that much i'm going to drop it in there and then, if i need more, i'm just going to add some more we're going to add our 30 volume developer. I was debating on either 30 or 20, but i wanted to lighten up because the hair is pretty dark and i feel like 20 - wouldn't lighten it up that much so, hopefully, 30 works. I didn't want to do 40 because 40 is just going to damage the hair and i don't want to damage the hair because i'm not going to buy new hair extensions if it gets damaged. So we're just going to drop that in and we are going to mix pretty sure i'm going to need a lot more developer because this looks dry add a little bit more okay. So we do have like a nice smooth like a whipped cream finish and that's how we want it going to close the bottle, we're going to put that over there. So i'm going to do a very small strand because i want to see if it's going to work, i think it is, but i don't want to say it is and get excited that it will and then it does it. And then i get sad. So i'm going to start adding the bleach and we are going to see if it starts to light it up also guys this is in a tutorial on how to bleach your hair. This is just me, bleaching, my hair, and, if i f up then that's my problem so do not follow what i do and do not copy what i do. I honestly never ever ever use aluminum paper, but i was like hey i'm gon na post, a video of me bleaching, the hair. Let me look a little professional, so i went to buy aluminum paper because i don't have aluminum paper at home, so i have to go, buy aluminum paper. You know what i'm just gon na dye. The whole thing just go from there right, we'll just see how it goes, how it turns out, but yeah guys. There is the piece i'm going to let this piece sit for about 15 minutes see if this piece lightens up and if it does, then we can proceed with the rest of the hair, but if it doesn't, then we know that luxy hair extension lied when it Says that it is that you can basically dye it, but if it does bleach, then they didn't lie okay, guys so we'll be back in about 15 minutes. So it's been about 15 minutes. Since i left the hair, i did open up the aluminum to see if it did light in a little bit and from seeing how it looks it does look like it lightened a bit, not a lot, but it did light in a bit. I do think if i leave it on a lot longer, it will definitely lighten up a lot more. It'S like a goldish color right now. Sorry i did get a little closer, so you guys can see it's a little hard, but there are some gold strands in the hair and it does look a lot more lighter than what this looks like. So we are going to continue and hopefully see if everything else gets light enough all right, so i'm going to be adding bleach onto every single piece, which means i am going to fast forward this section. So you guys can see what i'm doing and i'm not just sitting here brushing some bleach onto the hair, but you guys are still able to see what i'm doing, okay time to grab the next piece and time to cue some music, okay guys. So i did bleach every single piece of weft from the hair extensions. So now we're gon na wait about 30 minutes to see if the hair lightens up enough for me to dye it red so yeah. We just have to wait now. Hopefully it does light enough enough to take in the red color, because i really don't want to bleach it a second time, but i do think it's gon na be okay. I feel like it's gon na be okay, so hopefully it is okay, so yeah now we just got ta wait about 30 minutes to see what happens and i'm gon na show you guys how that looks in the next 30 minutes. So yeah guys stay tuned more moments later, so it's been about 30 minutes since i finished bleaching the hair. This is what it looks like i'm going to show you guys one piece it does look like it got very light. It'S almost like a gold color like a dirty blonde, i would say so it did lighten up. I do hope that it does take the red. I was going to record me washing my hair, but there is construction going on in the house right now. It'S really loud outside. That'S why you can hear that background noise um. So i think it's better for me to just wash it off of the camera, but i'm going to show you guys what i'm going to use, i'm literally just using these two products. So it's the love, beauty and plant brand um, just conditioner and shampoo. It'S the murmur butter and rose scent. It smells so good. I absolutely love this. I use it on my hair all the time so yeah, i'm just gon na use that i'm just gon na wash it wash it with shampoo and then just wash it with conditioner and i'll be back to show you guys how it looks when it is all Dry, okay, guys we're back and i did wash every single extension. So i'm going to show you guys how it looks right now it is drying i'm going to let it air dry. I don't want to use the air dryer or anything like that, because i don't want to damage the hair more because it is all the extensions and it's really hard to make dry hair extensions, not dry anymore, and the extensions do feel really really nice still. So that's good, so i'm gon na show you guys what they look like. So we do have them right over here. They do look a lot darker in the camera, but they are actually pretty light, as you guys can see. They'Re almost like a goldish blonde. So like a dirty blonde color, so for one of the single strands like this one right over here, my plan is going to be to dye this red to see if the color does take. If not, then i'm going to have to bleach the hair extensions one more time. I hope i'm not going to need to do that because i don't want them to get any more damaged, i'm going to let them all dry and dye one piece and then we will see if it does take the color. If it does, then we're going to continue this process and i'm going to dye the extensions on camera and we are going to go from there so yeah guys most likely. You guys will see me tomorrow because it's night time now, as you guys, can see it's dark outside, and i will finish this video up tomorrow. Okay, guys i'll see you guys tomorrow and see you next morning, okay guys so it's officially the next morning and i woke up about 20 minutes ago. So that's why i look a little bit tired and not that awake. I just screamed my face and everything, but we are going to continue this experiment. I guess an experiment of me doing my hair extensions okay. So yesterday, after the last clip, i ended up dyeing one piece of hair extension to see if it did take the red color, because if it didn't, i would have to bleach it again, and i didn't want to do that again and make this whole video long. Because it was unnecessary, so i ended up dying a piece and honestly it came out so nice i'm going to show you guys what it looks like after the whole bleaching process. So you guys can see what color we're at now and what color we are working on, basically to get the red color, but this is what we are working with. It is not a white blonde, but it is a goldish blonde and it is enough for us to dye it red and for it to take the color. So this is what it looks like i'm going to show you guys, the red that i did and actually it's it's really nice. So this is the red look at the difference. It worked guys. It worked. I'M actually really happy because i did not want it to get bleached again, because i was like yeah, i'm not damaging the hair anymore. It does feel a little bit dry right now, but this piece feels so soft, as you guys can see like even the little waves in it. So yeah guys, we are going to add the red onto the rest of the hair extensions and continue from there. For this piece i used the ion brights, and i also used the suavecita brand that i never tried before. I mixed them, both together to get this color red and it really does match my hair really really good. So we are going to do that for the entire extension set, so yeah this die and this style both semi permanent dyes. They do say to just put the color straight onto the hair: don't mix it with any developer or anything like that. But i don't really follow instructions and i actually still mix it with developer, because i feel like it dilutes the color a lot better and it's a lot easier for it to go on the hair. I know some people just think it's easy where you just put this onto the hair and it's just like an easy go. I guess but me i don't i don't like it. I'Ve been dyeing my hair red, like i've, dyed my hair for the first time right. Maybe about almost 15 years ago and honestly, i've always used the color and i always mixed it with developer, just to dilute it and make it a lot more, not watery, but a lot more creamier, because i think this is too thick. And i don't really like the consistency of the dye just going straight on the hair, i feel like it's a waste of product. I don't know if anybody else thinks the same. Maybe i don't know, that's just me, so i mix it with this and it gives me sorry guys so yeah, so i do mix it with this and it does give me a lot more color and a lot more product to use. So i am going to mix this these two there's nothing in here right now, because it's on the table, but i'm going to mix these two with the 30 volume developer into the bowl, the same bowl we used for the bleaching and then, if i ever want To retouch it again, i'm going to use 20 developer because it's already going to be like a red color, there's no point of me using a high volume because it's just going to be a little more damaging on the hair, because it is almost like a lightening Cream - it's not bleach, but it is a lightening cream and i do believe this still damages the hair. Some people say it doesn't, but i still believe it does so we're going to use either a 10 or 20 in the future. That'S what i do for my hair now i use either a 10 or only a 20, but for my roots, that's when i use like a 30 but other than that, we're not going to use a 30 anymore after this plus. The bottle is almost done. So we're good so yeah, so i have a little bit here. I'M going to mix the rest of it inside the bowl, there's not much left and when i try to mix, i try to do like a one-to-one ratio. So i do the same amount of color with the same amount of developer. Let me just move this over a little, so you guys can see what i'm doing yeah i have like a towel and then i have a shirt and then i have aluminum all on my table because my table is white and i'm not trying to stain it Because i stained it when i did my red hair a few days ago and honestly, i had to put bleach all on my table for it to come off. So i learned my lesson so we got that much of the ion brights red and now we're going to have the suavecita there's one of them that i opened already. I think it might actually be this. One never tried this brand before, but from what the color looks like this might be my go-to like look at the bottle difference. This has 118 milliliters. I have another one of the ion brights because i like to stock up, because i don't know why, in my area, they're always gone and they literally just shut down the sally's by the house. So i have to go about 20 minutes away to go to the other one, but yeah. This one is okay, let's do ounces because it doesn't have milliliters. So this is two ounces. This is four ounces. This was about ten dollars. This is about fifteen dollars. Your girl might be going for this a lot more often now, because it's cheaper and it has more and the color is really really nice. I'M going to do about half the bottle, so we don't waste any if we don't use it, because i can always use this again in the future and the nice thing about this one guys is this: one has a 24 month like expiry time. So if i open it today, i can still use it until 2023. This i only have a year, so i don't know where this product has been. But i think this is from like a little company or a little business, a small business because and it's vegan and cruelty free, never never heard of this brand before and they have a lot of colors. They have pink purple blue green, you name it. It was there so we're going to do about half. So i'm going to stop around here and the color looks very very similar. I'M gon na show you guys on the camera how it looks okay, so i did do as much as i needed as much as i think i need i'm pretty sure. I'M gon na need more, but look at that. It does have like a lighter red, but i think that's just how it's bottled, because this, when you like you, see how it's like that color and then this one they're very similar, but this one is a little bit more liquidy than this one. This one's a lot more thicker, the consistency, the consistency and this one's a lot more watery, as you guys can see see even when i touch it. Look how thick it is this i don't know i'm just gon na mix them two together, we're gon na go and just do that, because i still like the color and i still liked how this turned out, because it looks like what i have on my head. I don't know if you guys could see but yeah okay. So now i'm gon na add developer like a one-to-one ratio like i said so, that's good and we're just going to mix it again. The instructions tell you you don't need developer. Well, don't mix it with developer, but i don't listen to instructions and i'm adding developer. Oh, it gives a lot more product and the color stays a lot longer like i used to do it without the developer. The first time when i used to dye my hair and honestly, i used to dye my hair like every other week now i literally dye my hair one time a month and people always ask how do you dye your hair only one time a month? I don't know my color doesn't come off that fast and i only wash my hair about two times a week. That is how it looks pretty sure i'm going to need more, but we're going to add more as we go, so i'm just going to grab any piece and go from there gon na make sure the hair is not tangled. I already brushed every piece, but i want to make sure i get every single piece because if you've dyed your hair before and you've had one little blonde strand in the hair, it's not pretty okay. So i'm going to start for each of the piece i'm going to start from where the clips are so where the weft is and i'm going to go down, because i want to make sure i get the top very, very good. And i want to get everything very saturated, so yeah, i'm gon na do one piece on camera and then i'm going to do the same thing like i did before to speed up you know, add some music and go from there, so we're just gon na add It on the top - i remember this one time in high school. Well, not this one time! Well, this one time i was in grade 12 and it was graduation photos and i wanted to have my hair nice, bright and red for my photos and my hair was, i would say it, it wasn't red, but it was like it was an orange. I don't know why, but it was like a brownish color because it was red, but it faded to almost like an orangey red color and i went to buy hair. We from the the black beauty store, because that's what i used to do. I used to buy hair from the black beauty store and i would sew all the wax together like sew, two wipes together, so it's thick and then i would sew the clips on myself because that's what i used to do. I used to buy hair weave and i used to dye it because it was a lot more affordable than like hair clip extensions from like online or whatever they're like 300 400. I don't understand why but yeah they were a lot more expensive than just going to the black beauty store to get in. So i would go to again buy the like the lightest color, so i can dye it guys. I bought the weave i bought the dye. I bought the the brush the bowl, everything that i needed, so i spent about 200 on all the weave, all the dye, all the necessities that i needed for me to dye the hair. So i got home you know laid all my stuff on the floor. I remember i was enough in the apartment that we were living at, so it was. I laid everything on the floor. The aluminum. I got everything ready and i dyed the hair red. So i waited about an hour because i like to keep um color like, for example, at the end of this. I'M gon na leave it on for about an hour like 45 minutes to an hour, because i want to be very vibrant and red and that's what i did so after about 45 minutes, i went to wash out the hair and i was so sad. I started seeing red a lot of red coming out. At the end, there was literally like tiny strands of red. The whole hair was still blonde, so yeah. Just imagine how that felt. I didn't work that time i wasn't working. My mom had to give me money to go by weave. Again, i didn't buy red weave. I would buy blond again another brand, this time just to see if it would take the color this time. Anyone who's like experienced with hair, weave and dyed hair weep before. Why do you think the color didn't take? Is it because it wasn't maybe human hair, i'm pretty sure it was human hair, though it said, human hair on the package, but it still came out nice. But i looked weird a little bit now that i look at those photos like what the heck, why? Why did i do my hair red people? Probably look at the pictures now because they're, obviously still in the school on the wall and people are like okay, so we did get all this nice and red as you guys can see, it looks pink, but trust me. It'S red: it's not pink. We are going to continue this process for all the other pieces, so i am going to cue some music again and we are going to color all these pieces. You, okay guys, so my camera did die. While i was dyeing the hair, but i did get a lot of parts of me just brushing the dye onto the hair, there was only two pieces left, so it really wasn't necessary for me to even put it in the clip, because i had so much already Of what i was doing, i was basically doing the same thing on every single work. I'Ll show you guys how it looks right now. It looks really good. I think i did a really good job, so let me show you guys, so this is what it looks like. I did saturate every single piece and, as you can see, the color looks really vibrant. We finished with every single drop of dye, so that's good. We didn't waste any, so we got all that down. There are the dies that i used, so we are going to give it about 30 minutes. I would say no we're gon na do 45 minutes 45 minutes for it to take the dye in, because i want it to be very vibrant and i wanted to be such a very nice color, but yeah guys. So i am going to be back in about 45 minutes, so you guys can see what it looks like. I think it's gon na look exactly the same because yeah that's the color. I want we are going to let it process and i'm going to wash the hair using the same conditioner and shampoo that i used before, for when i bleach the hair and i'll show you guys how it looks when it's being dried. So when i lay it back down, so you guys can see how it is drying and then we are going to pick up the video right over there. All right, guys, i'll see you guys in the next clip guys. So i washed the hair extensions. They actually look so good. They actually smell good too, and they feel really really good. I'M going to lay them down, let them air dry. I'M going to do my hair and i'm going to do my makeup, so you guys can actually see the full look on how it actually looks on my hair. But here we have the extensions. If you see some dark spots, it's just because it's still really wet in that area, but this is what we are working with. It looks so good, it's giving me aerial vibes. I feel like i'm going to be a mermaid with this hair. I don't know if i'm going to straighten it or leave it um, curly or just leave it as it is, but we're going to see how that looks once it dries so yeah i'm going to do my makeup and i'm going to do my hair and i'll Show you guys how the finished product looks on my hair so keep watching. If you guys want to see if it matches if it doesn't match, i think it's going to match, but if it doesn't, then it's okay. I feel like it's very similar. So if i like curl my hair, it's going to look good but yeah. If you guys want to see how it looks, stay tuned for the end result. Okay, guys, so i am back with my makeup done and my hair did. I was going to turn around for you guys, but that is how it looks. I didn't leave my hair down because my hair is really short. So it's very obvious if i wear hair extension, so i did like a little half up half down style. You guys can see that the color matches my hair almost perfectly well. So i am happy with that. So i didn't curl the hair and i didn't straighten it. I didn't do anything to it. I literally just put a hair mask on it, and this is how it looks. I honestly love how it came out. I honestly want to be able to change my hair. I wanted to have a short i want to have it long. I want to just play around with it and have fun with it. I do need to blend the hair a lot more because you guys can see my actual hair, but i really just want to show you guys how the color picked up and how really close to my actual hair color. It looks so i am really happy with that. So don't mind the really bad blending but yeah. Let me go a little bit close, so you guys can see how it looks from the end all the way to the top. The extensions did not dry out. They are still perfectly fine, they feel really good and they look really good and they still look really shiny. So that's good again. The brand that i used is, let me grab it for you, so i use the ion bright and the suavecita in the color mantra. Mantra - i don't know i mixed these two together to get this really cute, ariel little mermaid color, going on it's a very bright red and i love it. It'S absolutely so beautiful! It'S me i did my makeup. I put on some lashes. Try to do a little bit of a sunset color to match the hair. If you guys can see it's a little messy, because i did it in like 20 minutes and i really wanted to just get it done. So i can go. Take some photos but yeah. This is how my makeup looks my hair, i feel, like everything just goes so well together, but yeah guys, if you guys, did enjoy this video, make sure you guys, like this video subscribe comment and turn on your post notification bell, so you'll be notified. When i do drop a new video and i'll see you guys in my next video bye, bye,

OhHeyShy: I have Luxy hair extensions as well! And I had it in brown too and I dyed them blonde and also dyed them blue it came out amazing! I love them honestly, and they still lasted all this time so I love luxy hahah love the red you chose, red hair looks so good on you!

Liz Reeves: This was great and they look so good!! The red really compliments you!!

Emily2618: THANK YOU!! I've been trying to find a decent video bleaching luxy extensions. I need my dark brown extensions to match my now blonde hair lol I was scared to death to try it so I wanted to see how they hold up. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Antonia Badun: Hey, Are those extensions connected with silicone on the top or it is a thread?... It seems like they do have the silicone top on thumbnail but I cant see anywhere in video if they are connected with silicone or string (thread)? Thank you...

Skyler Shiroma: You can cut the color with conditioner to make it creamier Developer will actually eat the color molecules But if it works for you, that’s cool! Lol. And/Or you can apply the color when the extensions/hair is wet :)

Kelsey F: Almuminum paper lol. Your too cute. I've always said almuminum foil lol
