Hi guys welcome to my channel or welcome back to my channel for those of you who are returning. My name is blaise mckenna. It has been a hot minute since i posted anything. I think, like seven months since my last youtube video, so my apologies for that one anyway, as you can see, i don't have permanent extensions in right now, weird flex, but okay - and i have kind of this - is just basically how it grew out, naturally, from being In that, like men's pixie cut essentially men's cup pixie cut whatever you want to call it uh. I just went in to see my stylist recently and she colored it and trimmed it a little bit trying to grow it out. That is the goal here is growing out my natural hair, so i no longer have to wear extensions. I have been wearing it occasionally just short like this, but i like my long hair, so i've been wearing clip-ins and amazing beauty. Hair was kind enough to send me a set of extensions. I love their hair. I'Ve used their tape, ins, their sew-ins and now they're clip-ins and i'm pretty impressed with all of them. Even my hairstylist, when i took my hair in every single time, she was like wow, i'm shocked at the quality of this hair, like it is really nice, especially for the price. I really like their extensions. I do want to let you guys know that i am paid commission if people order with my code, my link so just fyi, but i wouldn't be making these videos if i didn't actually like their hair and use their hair. So i am going to start off by saying my hair. Currently that is on my head. I just washed it and blow-dried it last night and my extensions i when i received them, i did wash them with olaplex, shampoo and conditioner, and then i realized after i got my hair colored that the color did not match. So i did color them with a one n n, so one neutral neutral to try and get them to match my hair, because my hair is pretty dark right now. So i'm going to show you because i actually ran out of color just two single clips like so okay, so these when you compare them to my hair, might be difficult to pick up on camera. Hopefully you can pick it up. These are more of a chocolate brown. They were supposed to be off black, but i feel like they're, more of a like espresso brown i'll, show you what they look like after i colored them with the one n. So this is what they look like now pretty dark, but they do match my hair quite a bit better. In my opinion, so here they are side by side. You can see. This is the one i colored. This is how i received them and quite a bit different again, i did ask to receive the off black color, but just fyi they're off black is really more of a chocolate brown and i did cut these. I cut them myself because i'm a crazy person, but i highly recommend going to a professional and having your extensions cut, so the extensions i received here they are plus the two that i did not color - that i probably won't really need to be using. I got the 160 gram 20 inch, 1b extensions clip-ins from amazing beauty, hair. I will link all the details of the hair extensions that i received from amazing beauty, hair below. I can tell that they're definitely thicker, there's more hair in the set than there would be in a normal like if i were to go and order like the most thin. So these are kind of like a medium thickness they're, definitely not as thick as like. Let'S say bellamy bugattis um, but they are still pretty thick, so i'm pretty happy with the quality of the hair. Let'S go ahead and get this show on the road. Shall we i'm going to show you guys how i install these extensions. These clip-in extensions from amazing beauty, hair into my short little pixie bob situation to make them look as real as i possibly can. The bottom is an undercut. I can't put any hair down there, it's not long enough yet. So i start from like about my temple. My undercut is basically up to here. It'S like my cheekbone, and this is a very unprofessional messy part. Do not judge me. Thank you so much all right, then. I will take my giant garage clippy. I kind of twist this into like a mini bun. You need smaller clips. You can use smaller clips. My hair tends to stay up. When i do this, you really don't need that much hair. Just like a half an inch i'd say. I then take my comb that came with my extensions from amazing beauty, hair. It'S got this nice pick on the end for parting, so i'm going to take it and i'm going to backcomb my hair not going to go super wild. But since i just washed my hair, it is still pretty slick and the extensions will slide right out. I have very greasy slick hair, so i need to backcomb it a little bit. Some people don't have to backcomb some people don't like to backcomb um. It can be a little rough on your hair, but just make sure that once you take your extensions out to brush your hair thoroughly, like don't leave this back combing in all the time. It'S not good for your hair. So now we have this super cute, almost einstein-esque, crazy old man, scientist. Look i'm taking my four clip weft, so i will take this under the cookies and situate it on the middle back of my head as much as possible and just clip it in. You have now achieved mullet status, so i'll turn around. So you can see super cute, i'm sure i'll. Take my hair down, find our next section, it'll be just barely higher than that last one next i'll be taking two of the three clip wefts, there's two that are about the same size and one that's larger. So these are the two that are about the same size, so you can see three clips, two of them and again we'll take this section and back comb it, and with these, what i like to do is go as close to my face as possible. I might have to re-situate that one, but you kind of just get it into the best place. You can make sure it's hooked into the hair right, especially when you have such short hair like this. It'S really difficult, or it can be to make sure that it's hooked into the hair, so this one didn't want to hook in as well, i'm just going back and back combing my hair, a little bit more flipping it back in here. We go basically same thing on the other side and the front clips here are always the most difficult, because you have the baby hairs and sometimes they just kind of latch onto the baby hairs. So i seem to always have to readjust them. I will turn around, so you can see the whole situation right now, as you can see, there's a gap in the back. Our next layer will be taking care of that. So again, let your hair down and we're starting to look like less melody. Already, it's great again section it off a little bit higher. So for this part, the front doesn't necessarily matter because we're not clipping anything in on this layer. Okay, so if your part looks like this in front, it's okay, you're good you're golden in the back. We want to make sure to not go super high, because this is the last back layer that we're going to have, but we don't want to be too low, otherwise you're going to have a big chunk of your own short natural hair. That'S just kind of like high, so the placement of this extension is really important when you're putting them in like right now how i am just kind of go where you can like guesstimate it, and if you need to redo them at the end, you can redo Them you can move them around, not a big deal, so this one is basically at like the peaks, my peaks right here, my hair peaks. You should know what i mean if you know any bald men and we're just going to do the same freaking thing that we've done every single time. So far. As i said earlier, there is a third three clip weft, that's a little bit wider. It is this one, so we are now using this guy, we'll go ahead and take this middle clip and try to situate it in the center most part of the back of your head and clip it in. We can always move them. So don't worry if you mess it up, you just kind of want it to be as even as possible in the back okay. So that's good enough! I'M going to turn around so you can see how i parted, where i placed it: okay, cool next layer. So when we start to get up into the upper portions of the head, what i like to do is figure out my part, because from here it's going to be really important, how we place our extensions. So i start with this side and what i'm going to do after i've parted. My hair is go a little bit further down from my part, i'm now using some alligator clips. That also came with my amazing beauty, hair and just part that right on over so you'll then take this section back comb. It i'm taking one of my two clip wefts here and again with this one like we did on the row before you want the extension to be as close to the front of your face as possible, but you also don't want extension poking out, especially up here. It will be noticeable, so you see got this going on okay cool, then i will just unclip this flip it over. Obviously, my hair isn't styled right now, but i just want to make sure that it's going to blend so yeah. I mean look at that already. Pretty impressive, obviously, once it's styled, it will be a lot better, and you also want to make sure that you can't really see the extension poking out in the front and we're going to do something similar over here. I like to take my part kind of brush back the hair, so i can see my hairline i like to take it because i have this is my baby widow's peak right here really hard to tell, especially since my hair has grown out a little bit. So it's not as dark, but my widow's peak is right about here. So i go a little to the side of that. If you don't have a widow's peak just based on like the center of your hair, all right, so i've parted it here. Here'S my widow's peak there's the part there's like the peak of my hairline and again you back comb and take your other two clip left and basically the same freaking thing you want to make sure it's close to the front of your face as close as possible. So there we have that guy flip the hair back over from here i'll, be taking two of the single clip pieces. Like i showed earlier, there are four in the set, but two of them i ran out of hair color and i'm just gon na be using two. So we'll find this part again and then i kind of go like right about where my widow's peak is, and you don't need to backcomb very far on this one, because it's only a single clip right here. So it's basically like a middle part and again as close to the front of the hair as possible. When you get to this one, you kind of have to push it back a little bit i'll flip the hair over to make sure that's hidden, because if you have it right on your hairline, i mean if your hair blows back at all. People are gon na see, oh, you got a clip right there and wearing extensions, but still pretty close to the front, because you don't want a big chunk of bangs and then a big extension. The last extension. What i like to do is i just kind of like to leave it on my normal part and kind of about like not at the front of the head kind of like in the middle of the head, pick up a piece and kind of part it off. So our other extension is sitting a little bit further back right here. This one i like to go up a little bit higher, then we'll take this hair underneath and back home. Take this other extension clip it in so here's our current situation, i'm happy about this bottom layer, i'm going to be cutting a bit of that off. You can really see it over here. Oh it's rough! This is why you go. Do this professionally guys. This is it and i'm going to go through and just kind of thin some spots out and eventually i will be going in to get these like professionally trimmed up and have her fix them. But i couldn't get in quick enough, so i'm going to go ahead and trim these up really quick and i will be right back okay, so i want to show you guys i trimmed up this half just a little bit, barely really any and honestly didn't do That great of a job did it really quick, because i'm trying to get this filmed as fast as possible um, but it already, in my opinion, looks like a million times better than if you compare it to this side, just looks super chunky and gross, but anyway This is further proof that you should go and have your hair professionally cut, even if it's extensions, okay, so they're all trimmed up now, i probably want to have them professionally touched up, but i'm just gon na go ahead and style them. I have like a million and a half styling videos on my channel, so i will go ahead and link some of those for you guys i'll show you kind of the gist of how i style, but i'm not gon na, do like a full blown like watch Me curl every single piece of my hair, so i'm going to be using my curling iron from xtava purchased this on amazon. It has interchangeable heads i'm using one of the clippy heads. I can't remember what size it is, but i will put that on the screen or down below anyway um. I really like this curling iron. It'S not super like gucci fancy, but it works and it was cheap. So i have it set to 350 degrees fahrenheit and i'm going to first take the front section of this side and smooth out the top, and then i start a curl with some hair hanging out slide it down. Curl back leave some hair dangling out at the bottom and then pull it off like this boom you're good. Okay! So basically do that with the rest of your head. I have my hair split or parted, where i naturally part it and then in the back i kind of have it like sectioned in half like half on the side, half on this side, so on either side just make sure you're curling away from your face. That'S really about it. Like i said i have some other extension styling hair videos that i will go ahead and tag because i'm not gon na show the entire process of this, but i'm just gon na go ahead and do it really quick? Okay, so i just curled all my hairs: now i'm going to go through and brush them out. If you're doing this with your fingers um it's a little bit easier if you're doing another brush just be careful to like hold the top of your hair. Otherwise, some of your extensions might pull out. I have that happen to me occasionally, and it is never fun and i'm gon na go through and brush brush it. I just feel like it smooths it out makes it look a little bit nicer. I also like to go through and kind of just rough it up with my fingers. A little bit gives it some more texture separates the hair from the extensions makes it look a little bit more lived in anyway. I hope this video helped, even if you can get something from just the placement of the extensions, i'm really happy with the quality of these extensions as well like i said i have everything linked down below if you want any more information, let me know in a Comment, let me know what you guys think and what you want to see. Next, i do have quite a few videos already filmed that i just need to edit and we'll be posting soon. I promise so stay tuned, please like comment and subscribe.
