How To 2 In 1: Clip In Hair Extensions With Short Hair & Pretty Curls!

Hey guys, what's up today's video is a two-in-one video, I'm gon na teach you guys how to clip in hair extensions, especially if you have short hair and then I also teach you guys how I curl my hair with this bedhead curly pop. I have done a tutorial with this bedhead curly pop, but I did it with short hair. This is not with extensions and a lot of people have been like, since I got my hair cut short. A lot of you guys know that I used to have about shoulder length, hair and now I have a. I think it's called an inverted bob word shorter in the back longer in the front. So that's what I have with my hair right now and a lot of people always ask me: how do you blend in your hair extensions with such short hair? That must be so difficult, and the answer is no. It'S not really difficult. I'Ve been wearing hair extensions for so long that I know how you know to blend in my clippings really well, like you guys, probably would never be able to tell that I'm wearing clip in hair extensions, and I have naturally really short hair. So you guys get a two-in-one video, a lot of people really want to update and how to clip in hair extensions, especially with having such short, hair and um. I just decided to add in the hair tutorial with it, so I hope you guys really enjoy it. So if you guys want to see how to clip in hair extensions for a short hair and how to get these curls, then just keep watching thanks, guys, ok, so this is my hair length. Now, since I got my hair cut about a month ago, it's like longer in the front and then, if I do a spin around it's shorter in the back, it's like a bob that angles towards longer in the front. That makes any sense. So now, with this hair cut, the number one question I get asked is: how do you blend in your clip in hair extensions when you choose to wear them to me? It'S like second nature. I'Ve been wearing hair extensions since shortly after I graduated my high school, I graduated 2009. So it's been two thousand nine ten eleven twelve a couple of years, so I'm pretty used to blending. You know hair extensions with short hair uh, so I'm just gon na basically show you guys how I clip in my hair extensions and make it blend with having short hair. So I just washed my hair extensions the other day and I haven't really been wearing them. So they're actually just like air dried, and these are 20 inches, 160 grams from Dolce Vita hair extensions. I will have their link below and I really loved these hair extensions. I believe I got them in blonde Beach blonde and then I dyed them with Manic Panic. Rock-And-Roll red in vampire and mixed, I think those are the two colors. I will have that below too, if that's not right, but I love these hair extensions. The only thing that I can honestly say don't like is that, and this has never happened because I ordered I have another pair of hair extensions from Dolce Vita, which are like black but the for clip. It has a dead clip at the end and I can't do anything with it and it's actually the one that goes at the crown of your head. So it's kind of like a pain I have to literally take a bobby, pin or two and kind of pin it into place because it is a dead clip. I could always go to Sally's, buy a new clip and sew it on, but I never got around to doing that. So that's the only thing that I can honestly say. I don't like about these hair extensions other than that I think they're, amazing, quality and they're. Definitely worth like the price I paid, which was 120 dollars, including shipping and handling. So the first thing I'm gon na do is just take this teasing comb. I got from Sally's, which is the amped up by Cricut and just kind of brush through my hair and make sure there's no tangles and then I'm just gon na section off my hair, like at the lowest point, which would be like right here: okay and then What I have right, there is like a really, obviously small section, and it doesn't have to be like even across, because it's kind of hard when you're doing it yourself to see anyway, so I'm just gon na take my two clip. I have a few two Clips. Three Clips and then one four clip so I'm just gon na take my two clip which looks like this. It just obviously has two Clips: I'm going to go ahead and clip it right at that parting and then click down. So that's where your first wife would go and then um you just kind of repeat the process. I'M going to take another section right above my previous two clip and do the same thing clip up again, take another two clip and then pop it into place. Cut. Taking down another section right above clipping it off again and now we're getting to a wider base where it kind of goes like from the back to the front. You see what I'm saying now we have hair in the front, so we can actually take a three clip and then just go ahead and clip it where we made the party app and then let it down, and you start to see that you don't see um. You know my short hair, it blends pretty well, but we're not finished. Obviously so we're gon na take another section right above that again and I'm gon na take another three clip and just go ahead and clip it in to place. Take another section right above the previous section: it's literally like the same process over and over guys. It'S really really simple and now taking a three clip, obviously and clipping it into place, and then now we have a really wide space. So what I do is I take two two clips and I place them like this, so I'll place, one right here and place another right there. So the same thing on this side and then what you have going on like them. When you take like another section al, I said like but take another section, and I'm just going to take my for club and just clip this right at the crown and now this dead clip, I told you guys about a bobby pin it into place. Usually, just so it'll stay kind of annoying, but it's just how it came. My other set of hair extensions from Dolce Vita did not come like this, and I just think that they didn't realize it was dead. It'S not really too big of an issue. Um, like I said I could always just go to Sally's and so on another. I just haven't gotten around to doing that. So that's how I do it. I put one pin then another pin as straight across. So it's not loose. Okay, and now I have my two clip. I have one two clip and then I have three single Clips left, so the two clip I usually don't clip into my hair, it's just like kind of extra hair cuz. I only like put what I can fit on my head, and this is like enough hair for me. So then I just let down my top part and then I'll. Take my teasing comb and comb out and over like this, and I just do a middle parting, because I plan to probably curl my hair. You could totally wear this straight um if you wanted to straighten the extensions like. I said these are freshly washed hair extensions. It'S just I like to curl my hair, so um now those three single clips I usually just use two and I'll just pop them in wherever I feel like. I need to hide my shorter hairs, which would be probably right in here. I feel like I should pop one in so just snap it and it kind of just helps to cover up any short hairs and on this side I feel like. I want to clip it and kind of similar to the other side right up in here and then just clip it down. Now some people like to tease their hair. As you can see, I didn't tease my hair and then put the clips in because for me they stay pretty well, they clip right onto my hair. So when all is said and done, you have this mixture going on so now that you guys got to see how I clip in my hair now we're gon na style it and to really hide your shorter hair curls. Do an amazing job straight hair, like I said you could wear these straight, but it's harder to hide that you have shorter hair with straight hair, get what I'm saying when you straighten the extensions and the short hair, it's kind of more obvious that you're wearing hair Extensions I feel like when I curl it it's more blended and you can't tell as much a plus I just love full moon, curly hair, so I'm gon na show you guys how I curl my hair when I wear these extensions. Okay. So the first thing I'm gon na do is take my got to be by short, scalp guardian angel heat protectant spray. I already brushed through my hair and my hair extensions, so they're gon na I'm just gon na go ahead and spray this evenly throughout my hair and my hair extensions kind of going light not going too crazy, because I don't like a lot of product buildup on My extensions - I don't wash my extensions - often they don't need to be washed often, but if there's a lot of product build-up, then they need to be so yeah. I'M just gon na work that through and I'm going to be using my Bed Head curly pop the blue one. I love this curling iron. I did a hair tutorial for the holiday season with this, with short hair, how to curl short hair, and I haven't done one with long hair. I love the curls as creates, I feel like I used to always love the clip irons like moved ones with the clips and you curl I felt like I have more control, but to be honest, since I use this now, I feel like I have more control With the wands like, I feel like I like the curls better, they come up so nice, so alright, so I'm just gon na go ahead and section off my hair. I don't really worry about the sections being small or whatever I just kind of go at my own pace, but I have this much hair down right now and I'm gon na. Look this way a lot, because I have an ear right here. So it comes with a glove as well. Some people opted to not use the glove. I would probably burn my hand puff if I didn't use the glove, so I prefer using the glove. I just don't want to burn my fingers, so just gon na take a section like this big and I'm going to take my bedhead curly pop and just begin to rap and then, since I do have shorter hair. Naturally, I'm gon na let the natural hair hold like this, for I don't know, maybe five to ten seconds and then I will go ahead and wrap my hair extension around the wand and we're gon na hold that for about ten seconds and then you're gon na Release and you'll have a curl like this and then take another section and do the same thing then go ahead and wrap the hair extension around the one now and then release. Then you have bouncy curls. Now I'm going to go to the other side and repeat the same exact process on this side, just going to go ahead and wrap my short hair first and hold it and then go ahead and wrap my extension around as well and then release it. And just do the same thing to the next section and then your first section should look like this should have bouncy little tight curls and now I'm just going to take another section down and repeat the same process over and over until we get to the top. Okay, so now we're at the top section, and what I like to do is just part it down the middle brush it down, and this is where I would tease I actually like to tease before I curl the top pieces. I think it's just more of a habit and I just like how it comes out better than teasing after, because I feel, like you, make the curls a bit frizzy by doing it after so I'm just gon na take some four back here. I'M gon na go ahead and brush upward. I never take my big sexy hair, hair spray and straight right at the root. Take my teasing comb and back home right at the base or row and then go like over it with some more hairspray like this and then I'll. Take a section over here. Take some hair spray spray at the root again and just go ahead and back home. Like this again on this side, spray at the root back home, back home, back home, back home back home and then I'll just go ahead and spray at the top a little bit. Okay! So now that we look crazy, why do in the back? First is kind of just take my hands and bring down the t's and then I'll just lightly brush it down like very gently and then the same at the front. I just gently brush it down and same on this side. Gently brush it down. You could always go back in and fix your teeth. That'S what I do I'll leave it at that for now put the glove back on and go ahead and curl the top pieces. So I'll start like right here and just wrap it around. The iron hold it for a few seconds and then let it go. You just repeat the process all through you. You want to keep in mind the thicker section you take the longer. You want to hold it the thinner, the shorter amount of time you have to hold it, but I don't like these top layers to be like curly to tighter curls, because we loosen up the whole look in a second anyway, which you guys are gon na see. Once I finish okay, so now, what I like to do is go back and reestablish the t's. If I need to sometimes I need to so, I'm just going to brush it off a little bit, spread the base again and back home and then just reestablish up and then same with this side kind of just brush lightly through so that all blends and then I'Ll just spray lightly don't go too crazy with the spraying. I just like to kind of run my fingers through my curls a little bit just to loosen them up and make them a little bit more of aluminized aluminous. However, you want to say it, and then I tend to avoid spraying hairspray on my extensions, especially when I freshly washed like this, because I kind of want to avoid product build-up. But if you need to spray um, just spray them very, very lightly, with hairspray, I usually tend to just kind of stay up at the base of my real hair, because I washed that more often than I do wash my hair extensions. So that is how easy peasy lemon squeezy this hair tutorial is. I love the curls that you get with this bed had curly pop.
