Hair Extensions | How To Make Synthetic Hair Look Real $10 Hair!

Hair extensions: How I make my synthetic hair look real. Yes, this hair is only $10.99! I decided for the new year I wanted to go long (have longer hair extensions) while I grew out my short cut and natural hair. I have always used apple cider vinegar on my natural hair and did my research to discover that you can use it on weave as well. When you use the apple cider vinegar on your synthetic hair extensions it helps clean and get rid of the extra shine. Reducing the plastic like shine in synthetic hair extensions helps you to blend your real hair with the fake hair / hair extensions. I already have issues with blending straight hair extensions with my natural hair texture, so reducing the shine is step one. I will have another video on how I straighten my natural and transitioning hair leave out to match the straight hair texture of my synthetic hair extensions. Hair brand is Zury fiber blend. Thanks so much for watching!

Okay for this u-part wig I'll be using the Zuri handmade five-hour hair, it's the and free invisible part weave part most likely won't be using that portion of it, but this was 1099. So it's obviously not the top of the line. It'S the handmade remy fiber. So synthetic hair and it's safe up to 400° a blow dryer, safe and rich touch, so we basically will be using this hair. It is also going to be the yaki 12 inch hair number two. So this is what it looks like when you bring it out. Very shiny, it is pretty soft to the touch, so you take it out. It looks like okay, so then we're going to take it out of the package here, because we are going to remove the shine from this by washing it. I'M actually going to leave as much as this tied on items as possible to kind of keep the hair together as I'm washing it. So this is the invisible part portion here, and the rest of this is the actual hair that will be installed. I do have a second bundle, a second pack, but I am going to try to use just one pack of hair. This will be the hair again, it's pretty shiny, so we're going to go ahead and use our apple cider, vinegar. The apple cider vinegar that I used is the Bragg's apple, cider, vinegar, organic with the mother. You guys see me use this a lot of times in weight loss watching my own hair. It'S a good face, cleanser as well, so I'll be using this to kind of strip. Some of that shininess, as well as wash the hair and then I'll, follow up with a cheapy conditioner like the suave natural coconut conditioner. So I let's go ahead and get started. Okay, so what I'll be doing essentially is filling up the sink with warm water. Add the apple, cider, vinegar and one day for okay, six cash hole, so I'm going to take the hair and it still has all the parts on there. It still has all the parts, but I just want to keep the hair together as much as possible. So I'm just going to leave this part on, even though itself it's a hard type of plastic or a hard type of cardboard. So then I sit the hair in there I'm going to let this sit in the sink I'm going to let this sit in the sink for about 20 minutes or so just so it can get a good soaking and the actual apple cider vinegar. I will most likely come every now and then and kind of swirl it around mix it up kind of make sure it's really soaking into the hair and stripping that first layer off of the hair that shining layer to see if we can kind of reduce the Shine make it a little bit more of a natural texture, then so silky and or shiny, because at the end the goal is to try to get it to match your own hair as much as possible. Of course, you can always add shine to your hair by adding oils, but I still want to try to remove it from the hair as possible, especially when you have a kinkier texture of hair. Trying to blend in your hair. Texture with the actual straighter hair can be somewhat of a challenge, so the more you can do to reduce that, especially if you're like me and you like straight hair and curly hairstyles, so we're just going to let this sit in there for another 20 minutes yourself And then I'll come back with it for the air drying process, you you, okay, so I'm finished, and this is pretty much the complete look I do have my hair is just for sea texture. So it's you know pretty puffy compared to what I would like it to be, but this is the transition, because you guys know that I have I'm transitioning. So my hair, you can't really see you like pull out some. So this is my hair. It comes down here, so I have the natural route and then I have the relaxed hair and then it flows into the synthetic hair and so

MissTaylaify: i just ordered my first wig lol kinda freaked out about it, but my hair became so thin after chemo i wanted to hopefully look better with a wig. wish me much Luck =)

GlamFam Hair & Beauty: Interesting video! Thank you for sharing this video!

salty pasta: In case you are wondering why she used conditioner, it’s for the smell.

Anastasia Westbrook: You should do ASMR videos, I came here to learn how to make a super shiny synthetic wig I have look more natural and got totally relaxed watching this. The combination of the water, your voice, the hair being played with and the music you used when not talking was fantastic.

Tiffany Green: This definitely works guys!!! My cheap hair is looking like a million bucks!##

Tee Col: Is it weird that I find this video so satisfying and relaxing?

Dante Velasquez: conditioning synthetic hair isn't necessary as it is plastic and will not absorb moisture. all that is needed is to rinse off the vinegar, let it air dry and then spray it down with some water with a little bit of conditioner mixed in the give it slip and minimize tangles :-)

Myra Kaye: Also a tip if your synthetic wig/ weave looks too thick and unrealistic invest in some thinning shears! It makes any cheap wig look like you paid $300+ for it

Leanna Mctier: That method you just used the acv is also good to remove alkaline off synthetic hair to keep it from itching I do all my wigs with this method and yes you can use white vinegar

Penlady5: Good idea! I use dry shampoo to take the shine out of my wigs, then brush it out. Another friend sprays wig hairspray on hers, which makes a slight film, taking away the shine. Yaki hair and Remy hair that you mention are human hair. "Hand Made" means the hair was sewn into wefts by hand. You got a steal if you got human hair for $10. Or else the people who made it, labelled it wrong, because remy and synthetic hair are opposites. Can't be both.

khris j: I'm so glad I came across your video. Great idea. I will use on my synthetic weave

Berry Sweet: It is amazing how you can flat iron synthetic hair now.

Keturah Garsuah: So Helpful, thanks Shay :-*

Katina McClain: Conditioner is not needed, but it makes the wig smell very good.

Shellz: Came back to subscribe and say Thank Youuuu❤️ This Method works wonder with my synthetic wig

Natasha Raisor: Beautiful wig, thanks for the tips

R V Summers: Good idea. I will try the ACV on my wigs to see if it will remove the shine. Can you do a video on how you achieved that finished look? From start to finish. I have 4c hair too at the roots and straight ends.

zoola mae: Your video is so relaxing I wish more people would put relaxing music in the videos great missy

La petite robe Noir: Girl you just save my life thank you so much queen love you

Joi Alst.: girl I live by acv I add it to my water to prevent yeast infections and utis. You can disinfect with it you can wash your body with it. You can replace salt with it. and last night it repelled mosquitos after I rubbed it on my exposed body parts I could sit outside and what's even better is that it's natural. Thanks for the upload I wish I would've found this video 2 weeks ago when I couldn't take my 10$ weave anymore and took it out in a few days. I didn't know how to make it work it was so tangly and heavy.

Ro Nu: Synthetic is super tangly, wouldnt removing the silicone shine cover make it more dry and therefore more tangly??

Boden Kree: do you have to allow it to air dry? could you dry it with a low temp on a hair dryer?

pastadelacr0tch: Loved your video , does this method work on curly synthetic hair??

Ma. Sophia Florenz: Does it also work for curly hair extensions? I mean, does the curly extensions regain their original curls even after getting wet?

T Lajoy: Thanks for providing tips on removing the shine, have found that the cheaper wigs tend to have a more realistic look i.e. because they are cheap they are not so thick, but the downfall is that they are too shiny as for the more expensive wigs or real hair wigs the texture and shine provide a better match to your own hair except they are usually too thick so both types look too wiggy. I always felt that if I could eliminate that shine I could make an inexpensive wig look better and more real than an overly thick real hair wig product. I will be testing this on an old wig, if it works I will have a whole new inexpensive hair wardrobe. Thanks Shay.

Nerak Rellim: someone else said it: remy hair is human hair. "remy" means it's all laid in the same direction - like, it was cut off someone else's head in a ponytail and then not messed with, so all the hair strands are lying scalp-to-ends. I damped down the shine on a synthetic wig by coloring it with acrylic ink and rubbing alcohol, I think it was the alcohol that took off the shine.

bgreenshoes: It works! Thank u so much!!
