Blending Natural Hair W/ Straight Extensions (No Heat Method)

The no heat method I use to blend my natural hair with straight extensions.

All right, so I'm starting off with if I leave out freshly washed and it's still damp, I don't leave a lot of hair out and that's one thing that allows my natural hair to blend a little bit better with my extension hair by not leaving a bunch Of hair out, so you don't have to worry about, you know trying to blend a whole bunch of natural hair with your extensions. So this is what it looks like very coyly and just you know, natural I'm going to stretch and straighten my natural hair to blend with my extensions, I'm going to be roller setting it and I use these kind of rollers. They are red and they have a bunch of holes in them, and I like using these rollers in particular because they allow my hair to dry very quickly. Since you have so many holes, it allows the air to circulate through and it gets my hair dry very fast. So love these and the things I'm going to be using in my hair to set it are the Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie and my eco styler gel. So the first thing I'm going to do is take my comb and make a part down the middle, because that's where I'm going to have my part so like that I'm going to be working on one side at a time. So I'm just going to clip this side away. For now, I'm going to take a little bit of my curl enhancing smoothie and apply that to the leave out. Then I'm going to take some of my gel and put it on top, not taking too much just you know a little bit and I use the smoothie to moisturize my hair, keep it soft and the gel in order to have a really good hold. So once I've done that I want my dimming brush and just brush out my hair and make sure it's very very flat and fold. Then I'm going to take my roller and roll it up and you want to make sure that you put it as tight and it's flat on the roller as possible so that when you take them out, it blends very well. So just going to roll that and pull it, so you make sure it's very, very tight at the root like that they're going to take these little clips and clip it down on both ends of the roller so that it holds an extension place. While it dries see my root is very flat, then of course I'm just going to do that on the other side. Okay, so I leave out is all rolled up now because I'm using these rollers and I'm not rolling up a bunch of hair, my hair is going to dry out really quickly. So I'm going to let these set and dry for about two hours or so and then I'll be right back okay. So it's been about two hours and I'm pretty sure my hair is dry now, so I'm going to take it down, but first I'll just take out my flexi rods all right. Now I'm just going to remove the rollers and and that's what it looks like so now. All I do is just take my bristle brush and I brush it down to blend it and if I need to I'll take a little bit of gel and just you know put it over top, make sure it all stays down and everything and that's basically all I do I'm going to put a little bit of gel around my edges because I like them to be sleek and everything. Of course, this method isn't going to get your hair as straight in this flat as if you were to flat ironing, but this really does give my hair to blend with my extensions very well without the risk of heat damage. So I don't have to worry about frying, my hair, so this was definitely a good alternative if you're looking for way to blend your natural hair or even, if you're relaxed with your straight extensions, I really like doing it this way, so I hope this helps some Of you guys out there that have been asking me about how I blend my natural hair, with my extensions thanks for watching out and I'll see you in the next video bye.

Is why I am a subbie, I have been keeping my hair natural and just recently bought a weave for a protective style, and was like I know who to go to make sure my natural hair stays healthy! Thanks So Much You are pretty and love your hair.

TheChicNatural: natural hair is SO versatile, and thats y i love it!

Barbara: @backsyncfan Hey! How long did you keep tge extensions in for? Do they still last while you have your natural hair out in the parting, or is it more hassle to keep the sleek look as time goes on? :)

TheChicNatural: yes, the gel helps give the hair good hold and keep it from puffing up. so usually it will stay fine all day
