Ecaille Red Mahogany Color| Hair Transformation

Hi guys it's me matty and i am so excited. I had Kirsten here. She'S a hairdresser and she's been so adorable because she's, like I've, been following on YouTube and all these things, but she's like we knew of each other a little bit before even YouTube stuff. But and and then she started working with the same makeup company that I was working with and we like did expose together anyways. It'S been a long time coming and I finally have her in my chair and we are both so excited because guess, what's happening, Apple watch transform hm. We are completely changing up her hair, so I have not that her hair before this is previous color by somebody else and she's kind of excited to get rid of it right. Yes, I'm so excited she's ready for a change. It is so good and look how beautiful she is. So I mystic super excited on this, because normally you see a blonde in my chair, but today you're seeing a brunette and then you're going to see a deep mahogany red, beautiful, mermaid, hair happening so she's a natural level, and I had my swatch book. So I can tell you exactly so. I know I'm telling you the right exact thing. If I pull up a level 5 here and I put that next to it level 5 a teeny teeny teeny bit too dark. But if I put a level 6 level, 6 is a little bit too light so she's at five and a half level, so her natural levels about if I would have more 6 than 5. So what were you going to be doing to her hair and I'm so excited you guys we're going to show you the hair inspiration picture that we both love, and she said this to me and I was like done done and done. It will be amazing on your. Your skin tone will be perfect for it and it's fall coming. It'S just going to be gorgeous. So let me pull up the picture and I'm going to show you guys what we're doing. Ok. So here is the inspiration picture. Look at her face. Look at her skin tone, she's a beautiful, more of a fair skin tone, but she has a yellow undertone. It scars going to be absolutely incredible for her. This is what we love. We love the deepness of how rich this is and dark, but we love this that we love the color, that's coming through right through the fringe area around framing her face, so we, this is our vision. This is our inspiration. This is the color that we are going for today. Not only are we just coloring her hair into this beautiful red, rich mahogany, deep violet color, but we are adding in extensions. Oh, my gosh she's been waiting. You guys seriously. She'S been saving up her moola and she's, like you know what I'm doing it, I'm taking care of myself, I deserve it, I'm a mom. I want my hair done and that's what's happening. So that's what we're doing for her today. We were literally transforming her. So look at this color. This is like literally our vision for her hair. It'S absolutely incredible. These are the bombshell, hair extensions and we are using three paths because Kirsten actually has quite a bit of hair. She has medium texture and she has quite a bit of it, so we need about three packs of hair to go into this hair, and so this color with bombshell is color, nine, nine J and it is 1905 inches and literally, let me just tell you guys, Like I'm is searched and searched for a good quality, hair extension company and I'm not kidding you bombshells. Where is act? I will make everything of the company below in the description for you guys. So you can check everything out, and here is another thing and if you look at this color you're like don't you think that color my fade a little bit absolutely not this colors actually secure in the hair. It will not fade and the other thing going into this is say here: tsimmes like okay, I want to change. I love the color, but I want to take it a little bit darker what you can do on this is. We can just glaze this with like a 7n and we can make this more brown versus more red in the Hobby, and so that's that's a fun option. We can do with her when she's feeling, like a ready, I'm ready for a change. So this is the vision. This is the color going, for this is going to be amazing. We all know, because just you can just tell we'll call me a mattes. I am doing a new technique. I am so excited to share with you guys. I learned this at the redkin exchange and I learned this from Chris Sorby and I'm so excited to honestly do this technique for you guys it's a little bit different and it's exactly what is the new thing? It'S going to be the new trendy thing and I am doing a mixture of coffee, I'm doing a mixture of things, but it's going to be more of a one step, color, along with what you call a chi and or the tortoiseshell, and so that's kind of The thing I'm doing today and I'm going to get right to color, mixing before me, waiting with you guys. So let's go over and formulate. Ok, you guys. So the very first thing I'm going to do is I'm going just to mix up her filler. First, then, after I'm going to mix up the actual color, I'm gon na put all of her hair. So you guys guess what I'm gon na be doing. All I'm gon na be putting on her hair is red, can shades eq, which is cream and I'm gon na be putting 2:07 RB. So this is red violet and this is going to fill in her hair and once I put this all over her hair, then I'm going to kind of just take a towel and I'm not going to rinse it cuz. That'S just way more time that I don't need. I can just go in and put the color right on top of it, so I'm going to just do a 7rv, and this is a 1 to 1 ratio, and I am going to make sure I am just using the pro oxide ten-volume, because I'm just depositing Color right, so we only just do 10 volume, I'm not lifting out the color at all. So let's go in here. Okay, I want to do one ounce of the red, violet and then equal amount, so we're gon na go in here and do another. One ounce Scout tells me perfect, go ahead and just whisk this up, and but I've been doing this you. I don't want to talk to you really quickly about what I what my plans are as I. I want to actually put all the flex in this. I'M gon na put all text number one, and it's not because I wanted I'm feeling like your hair is going to be unhealthy. I just want to add it based on not kind of diluting it a little, but also really keeping this color vibrant, because when you're taking this color and going into a red tone, you kind of get to this point where you're like. Oh, my gosh, it's fading. So the one thing that I will say to olaplex guys also do is it keeps longevity of hair color and then I am just going to add in one eight ounce of olaplex just again to keep this hair just nice and healthy and shiny, and you wan Na know what else I'm going to do, because I can because I want to - is I want to give her some really good Quartet shine. So I'm going to be adding in some of the rejuven isle that I'm obsessed with and if you don't have rejuvenate oil. That'S fine can use other oils. This is just completely optional, but I like to do as much as I can for any client. I have to keep as much shine in health and just beautiful nests all over I'm going to take the rejuvenate oil and this actually. What this does is not only gives it a Gortex shine, but this expands the hair strength and it kind of takes the hair and it thickens the hair. So you're gon na get a lot of volume, shine and thickness, and this also helps your hair grow. If you're putting this around the scalp, this has an ingredient called cut pixel in it, and that makes the hair grow, which is incredible. So I just added three drops: that's all and that will just give it some shine and as this color gets on set for a minute and oxidizes you're going to start seeing a red, violet color. So we're gon na now go in here and start filling repair with this tone and then we're going to go in and add in all her other colors. Okay, you guys um. What I'm doing really quick is, I have should add a little bit of her hair. The top part, I'm actually gon na do something a little bit different, so I'm gon na just go through a walk through everything, I'm doing with you guys on her hair. So what I really want to do you guys is there some really pretty pieces in her hair that are just really nice and vibrant and blonde and kind of ashy? So what I'm actually going to do is I am going to take some pieces and fill with the shades are be, but like this little section, I really love, and I want to keep this section out because I'm going to actually build it. So just a violet kicker and from shape, so I'm going to just take this and literally wrap it in foil, and I don't want to touch this at all. Okay, I'm going to kind of pick and choose colors that I want to leave out and not do the filler on. Quite yet. If ice went through here - and I just added in the 7rb on the areas that I wanted - and it's already oxidizing and turning color - which I love now we're going to take out these tin foil pieces, I love my slides with these. I want to just add in kickers, okay, I'm not adding in like a step, I'm not adding in a level interpreter, I'm just adding a kicker and that's going to kind of still fill her hair, but not at a 7 level. It'S going to still stay at 10 level, which is where what I want, because on these pieces, I'm actually going to do a whole different color on her. I'M gon na go ahead and mix up this orange kicker from redken shades eq and this violet. But I want to do one ounce of orange and now I'm going to add in one ounce of violet, so I'm going to have a total of two ounces. Thank you two four and two thirds, because that's what I'm doing it's pretty much equal parting ain't down with that. I am also going to be adding in more rejuven of oil, because I want to give her a shine one two three three drops of that. I'M going to shake that up. I'M gon na take a foil because I actually want to separate these and keep these separated, because these are going to be the lighter pieces that I want to have shine through the entire hair. So they're, taken with the foil and just honestly, go in here and add it in just like this use my hands. It'S going to be a bloody mess here so now this is going to be that filler for the pieces that I want lighter cause a deal. I saw in that inspiration, picture and those pieces were lighter and that's really good, so I'm gon na just kind of take that foil and let it do its thing and separate that so I'm also gon na just do that all the way throughout the entire foil Pieces, okay, so now that we have her filling going on, she is processing with her fill. We are going to make mix her base color and all of them is shot to end color and we're going to be putting this on top of the color that we already built, I'm going to be using red can color gels for our V on her base. I'M adding a full, solid ounce, the Redken color gel ten volume, because again we're only depositing - and you guys I am using colors from shades cream shades, eq, color, fusion and color gels. Everything on her head is completely redkin, but it's all different colors, which is fun because we'll be able to see different tones through each color line on the hair, which is awesome. This is going to be like so beautiful and so much fun to do. One. Two three - and this is optional, but I do it because now that this color is going to be touching her scalp, this is actually going to put the cup pixel ingredient into her scalp and that's going to help her hair grow. So as her hair's processing with color on her scalp guess, what's happening, her hair's gon na grow. So that's awesome. Okay, that's the base! Color next thing, I'm going to be doing you guys is I'm going to be doing red. Can color fusion? Oh my gosh. Let me just tell you: these colors are so pigmented and so beautiful I'll be mixing in 5rb and six are um. This color fusion, five um RB, is pretty much the color that I want her entire hair to be and adding in a full, solid ounce. Now this is equal party, so just ten volume - and I mix that on uh I like using the whisk because it kind of gets it really. It gets it through really nicely and a really creamy consistency. Okay, so while we have going on here is we have just finished up filling her hair and when I say filling, I'm not like saying filming her hair, I'm saying like we put in color to fill the caramel blondes into this red mahogany top. So what am i what my vision with this hair is? Is I want to have different dimensions and different colors popping through with different lighting? So if she's, an outdoor lighting, she's gon na be able to like someone's a little cut, her beak holy cow? Look at that pretty deep tone of red or holy cow. Look at that really nice bright, color of red violet. So that's kind of my goal here, so everything in the foil again is a kicker and everything out of the foil is 7rb. I'M shades eq. So now what my plan is is i'm going to give her a face, color and then i am going to do a really cool and beak. I heard tortoiseshell technique with a deep color is, I kind of just ran a fine comb throughout her hair just so. I could separate this hair a little bit now. I'M going to do is just like a tea party and we're gon na go and just do her base. Color really quick and then we're gon na talk about some fun stuff for a natural level on top is about a set of five level, so we're gon na just take her one shade darker and I think it will really just pop out her skin color. If we do that, I'm getting so excited, oh so pretty and she's gon na have long luscious gorgeous like mermaid hair, is what taking 1/4 inch sections here, and I want to show you. I love all these different tones of shades. I'M getting here with that fill. So what I'm doing is on the underneath part here. I actually just want this all to be the 4vr, and this is where it's going to be like more into depth down into the underneath of her hair. So I'm just taking 4vr and putting this all over. The same color as her base, but what's cool about this, you guys is the fact that I has an orange kicker in here and the son of the are so that way she will have different shine coming through now this one. What I want to do here is, I want to take this and kind of just press that right there. So don't you are putting that um, sudden V R on there and the ends I'm going to go ahead and put a little for VR and I'm gon na. Let the kicker stay on the ends right there and I'm changing this up a little bit. So it's just like a multi color and it's all different tones, but everything will blend in very, very good. So now the next section here is I'm going to paint all of this 7vr, but I want to show you something: that's going to be amazing. So this is kind of where the acai and the acai comes into place. So I'm going to go in here and pay on this is the color fusion all the way to the ends really saturating now. What I want to do is I'm going to take this section here now, I'm going to take my blur brush. Okay, I'm going to dip the blur brush in this color. This is the 4vr, and what I'm going to do is in this mid-tone section. I'M going to paint on 4vr okay, then I'm going to kind of roll that in just like that. So we have four seven level, four level, seven level. So what that's going to do is different tones are going to transition into different lighting and we're going to keep it just like that. I want to move on to the next section: I'm switching it off so now with this section. What we're going to do is I'm going to take the front section and keep that as seven and back here do the four level, and I'm only going to do that all the way to about mid strands right there. So I'm going to stop before about that and then I'm going to take the seven and add the seven in at the ends, so I'm going to take through there. This isn't maybe four and I'm going to take seven and press that right through here now. This I want to have lighter around the face, so I'm going to just do this on the stray seven. This is about. I mean it's going to. This is about a six level because we added five and seven together, so this will turn out to be about a six level around her face here, brush the 4vr and what I like. What the reason why I'm doing this and I'm going to go through here and kind of just paint on and whirl it kind of give it an S because, what's going to happen, is for is going to eat into the seven level right so force darker than Six, so the four is going to deposit in and as as I go in here and do this s turn just like this. That'S going to leave a six level right here, a four level right here, a six level right through here. So it's kind of cool because you're going to get the shine line, that's going to look super beautiful and so that's kind of the idea of the Holy Chi tortoiseshell. But again you guys are so many different routes and ways you can do this. This is just one way I want to show you guys on a different video, how to do it with like a blonde. So I'm pretty much really honestly just customizing it in each individual section and it really will you really be able to tell a big difference when you're doing something like this, so this one will be the beautiful violet red this section here I want to have the 4Vr this section here I want to have a seven six, seven level, all the way down. Okay, so, as you guys can see, I really want you guys to focus on something really quickly. You can see where that orange kicker was, and you can see where that 7vr is. When I go in here and add 7vr on top of this orange kicker, that's going to be the most beautiful rich tone. So what I'm going to do on this piece here is I'm going to do exactly that, I'm going to be adding in the five ER and seven. Are, I honestly think I'm getting the colors mixed up, but whatever you know what color it is. I showed you the formulation, so I'm going here and just painting and knowing that was the orange kicker section, I'm going to paint seven on that one and now what we're going to do with this front section here is we're going to just take that four level And kind of just wave it out like this s, do it like a S shape and again, the reason of that is I'm going to have for level six level, four level, six level. So it's going to be it's not going to be spotty everything's, going to be very, very consistent and beautiful, but we're just again focusing on like really nice shine lines. Okay, you guys, so I want to show you guys this as this is processing here, you can see different dimensions of red tones and violet tones the base. I have color gels for our V, only ten volume and then through the mids to the ends. I have a mixture of five RV and 6r, and that is a mixture of things. So, as you can see, different spots are darker and other spots are lighter, so the areas that are lighter are going to be the areas I filled with the orange red, violet kicker, and then the darker spots, you see, are going to be what I filled with 7Vr going to process now for about 25 min it's because it really has been on her head for a good while and now I'm going to get her extensions all going. So this is the color as its processing. It'S looking gorgeous. Oh my gosh. Look at that tone huh, so beautiful! Oh, my gosh, I'm obsessed! Oh my gosh, it's so pretty um hello, my friends! We are finished with her transformation holy crap. I can't stop staring at her like look at this. I saw she literally has transformed to a mermaid. I give the man a would say: amazeballs amazeballs, it's amazeballs, it's totally! Oh my gosh. Okay, you guys seriously just focus on this hair right now, the color, the cutting the extension, the blending the tortoiseshell technique like is shining through. Look: how beautiful and rich and vibrant these colors are. I am so happy with these results and the color mixtures. Everything we did look at this. Nothing is prettier than this right now like this is so seasonal right now like this could actually work for summer. Winter fall everything, but the fact that's false. Coming like look at that those colors look at that holy cow, so the orange and violet kicker is the pieces. You see that are the violet kicker and then the deeper color you see is the 7vr. When we filled it made a world of a difference. These extensions blend perfect, there's contrast, there's a dimension. Oh my gosh you'd feel like a new woman. Oh yeah, totally I'm hot, Oh, like we, I don't know what's gon na happen, but this been a mom and how many kids five four five four and a half five, but you have a husband so five, you guys like this feels so amazing to be able To transform her because she is like this is something I needed so bad. I did I know so. Oh I don't even know how to say it. I just felt oh, my gosh, and now I'm hot, Oh, oh my gosh and I am going on a date with her. I feel like I needed rescuing dating. Yes, we are going to deliver a nice supposed to be doing her. It'S me, oh my gosh. Look at her, I can't get over this like this, is unbelievable. Now I'm shot Ising herself for this. You know if you die it's worth every second of this and here's the thing I had to say: I'm not kidding you guys. Like I see you, I see the massive confidence in her like she will walk out, strutting and just feeling like I am so pretty and that's the best thing about being a hairdresser is transforming women into feeling like a LA into like oh my gosh, I feel So pretty again like that's, what's amazing, that's how that's why I love doing this job. You guys is being able to glam up people that deserve it, who need it, who, like honestly, just straight-up, need it and she was needing this hot to hide. I haven't felt like this for four years, I'm on the verge of tears, like I'm so happy right now. Oh, I love her and you know what like it seriously, it's so important to take care of yourself like we all need, as women and as men, whoever you are like, invest in yourself and spend the money to make. You feel better about yourself, because it's really important to do that and that's exactly what she did today and she is gon na walk out like a heads, ahem heads are gon na turn head you're turning! Oh my gosh, here's what I have to say: um! Every single color formulation I did today on point amazing, I loved every second of those colors and the technique was awesome. I always when I do these videos, for you guys. I always hope.
