Hi friends, it's dyra welcome back to my channel, so in this video, i'm going to show you a keratin treatment on type 4 hair. Now, i'm one of one of those stylists that don't believe in the hair grading system. I just feel like everyone's hair is unique and individual everything that's supposed to work for a hair type doesn't always work for everyone that is categorized in that hair type. But because i have been asked to do a keratin on type 4 hair. I am describing it that way to you guys, so the first thing that i did, as you saw her her hair in the previous clip how she came in so the first thing that i did was to shampoo the hair um. Well, i conditioned it first and detangled it, and then i shampooed it using a clarifying treatment, the one that comes with this system. This is the cleo keratin smoothing treatment. So the first thing you have to do is shampoo. I normally shampoo twice and then the third shampoo i allow to sit for five minutes and the reason why i do this is because you want the hair to be totally clear of any buildup or any product at all, because you want to make sure that the Keratin is able to get in there now for her hair. Her hair is on the finer side, even though her curls are tighter and if you apply it, while the hair is still damp, it doesn't weigh the hair down as much as if you were to apply with dry hair. So i'm just going through and taking small sections and applying the product and combing it through. When i first applied the products, it was a lot of products so, as you can see for a couple of rolls, i'm not applying any more i'm just kind of rubbing it in and combing it through and a lot of times. People worry about combing it through and not having not used conditioner, because i just shampooed and rinsed. You cannot apply conditioner because the conditioner closes the cuticle. However, as you can see, once you apply the product, it literally melts the hair as far as how soft it makes it. It makes the hair really soft, like the conditioner, does so you're able to comb through it. So i do apply that on each side, each section, each parting - that i take rub it through and then comb it through and it's important to comb through with a finer tooth comb. Because you want to make sure it goes through every strand and as you can see there, i did the back and she had just a little bit of hair loss. Not much considering you know um like i said there was no conditioner or anything. So you just had to comb that through so after i applied it through completely. I did put a cap on her and set her under the dryer for 20 minutes. Now. Normally, you would use a low to medium heat, but because she does have low porosity hair. I did set it under a high heat and what you see me doing here is just drying off the excess keratin that her hair did not soak up, and the reason why i'm doing that is because the keratin, like i said, is heavier on the hair stays In the hair, you have to keep it in and not wet your hair or or shampoo your hair for at least three days, so the hair is heavier than it normally would. If you were to just do as suppressed and add regular products, because the formula is thick, excuse me so um, the idea is to get the product on the hair. It doesn't necessarily have to be an abundance of product and just soaking through the hair. So i did remove what wasn't soaked in oh one thing. I want to add really quick here in my other videos. I have gotten a question several times about. The chemical has to be harmful because you're using gloves okay, so the manufacturer manufacturer recommends that you use gloves. It still is a chemical, so you want to protect yourself, but it's not harmful to me. As you can see, she has the keratin in her hair and i'm not using gloves on this part. But the reason why i've always made sure i use gloves is because for one i like to follow directions and for two, because it is a thick product and um. It'S slippery and it's just easier to use the gloves so that you can glide the product through the hair and not have to worry about your hands getting sticky. And you know it helps when you can actually glide stuff through your client's hair, as opposed to struggling to get it on. So after i blow dry, i do use my a full mixture of this depo mitchell neural flat iron. This is the bigger one. I think it's one in a quarter inch now, unfortunately, like i said this is the part um that i hate the most about keratin is that you have to apply heat, and you have to do several passes normally between three to seven. You want to do it until you see the shine come through on the hair strands and i am using the flat iron at the temperature of 420. I believe so yeah you just go through and give it a few passes and she does need a trim. So as some as some of the partings, it does give me a hard time at the ends, but i'm not pulling on her hair or tugging on it. More than i need to all you have to do is just comb it through and use the chase method. Um just to get the hair straight and you go, and you do that through out the entire head once with the keratin and just still pressing. Well, when you use the keratin treatment in your hair, what that does is remove frizz. What that means for the client is that it makes the hair more manageable. I i always tell my clients before they actually get a relaxer try a keratin, because the keratin does wear off. So if you don't like it, you know it'll wear off in about four to six months and if you feel like it's not enough, you can always go in and go ahead and do the relaxer, but with the relaxer you'll have to cut cut it out. So it's always better to try something that will help um that will wear off so yeah she'll be able to keep her silk presses longer, because the hair won't swell up like it would without the keratin treatment and, like i said, just overall makes it more manageable. When she shampoos and conditions her hair she'll be able to blow dry it and style it quicker and so much easier than without the keratin treatment. So now that we've straightened her hair, you can really see where she needs her ends, trimmed at and, of course, she and i discussed it together and she gave me the permission to go ahead and get rid of all of her uh split ends and um. Yes, i'm just going through i'm just taking off where i see that is thin, but then i'm going through and parting it and bringing it down section by section just to make sure that i'm able to get all the split ends that have to be removed off. Sometimes you have different sections of the hair need more taken off than other sections, so i always try to do my best on keeping as much length as possible, but making sure i remove all the split ends that need to go so after the trim. I'M just going through and smoothing it one last time and putting a little bump at the end. So now all she has to do for the next three days is to make sure that she doesn't get it wet um. You don't want to tie it up because it can leave indentations in your hair. I'Ve never seen it happen, but that is one of the things that the manufacturers suggest. So it's always good to follow the rules. You want to make sure that if you happen to get it wet that you just blow dry and straighten it quickly and then after those three days you can choose to wait till you're ready to shampoo or you can go ahead and shampoo and style as needed. This is something that you can um use for natural styles and also for heat styling. So keratin helps with both kinds of hair styling that you want to have. It removes the frizz for the natural styling and it helps you keep the style longer when you're using heat styling. If you have any questions, make sure to add some down below and i will get to them. Thank you so very much for watching make sure you comment like and subscribe. It'S free guys and i truly appreciate it. Thank you so much for watching see you in my next one. You

BA CL: I have a keratin treatment but it never damaged my natural hair. My hair was stronger and so much easier to detangle. I love it.

Shekinah Clark: So beautiful! I seriously want this treatment but I don’t even know how to begin to find a trusted stylist to do it. I know that all hair types get keratin treatments, I’d prefer someone who is knowledgeable and used to working with tight curls like yourself! I think I’ll just save and fly to your salon! Thank you so much for posting ❤️

carrie b: Beautiful! I am Caucasian but I have curly ,very frizzy dry ,wired hair. I did not realize until watching your video that there are four hair types. that's very informative! I recently started doing Salon keratin. A friend told me it would be like changing, I thought it was a bit of an exaggeration ....it's not.

marcia peak: I can see why women give up taking care of their natural hair. After looking at this video, it's a lot of work. I think if more women went to salons to have their hair taken care of, it would be easier to maintain at home. It needs a lot of care to keep it moisturized, conditioned etc. It's hard not seeing the back of your head, you need help plus your arms get very tired. For real.

Cshell 200: Fabulous, I've transitioned to natural and this will really help me to cope after so many years relaxed. Thanks ❤

19viviana Liz: Hi, Seven Zen Hair I’m about to do the keratin treatment on my 3c/4a hair. My question is: is the shampoo I use before the treatment supposed to have sulfate, since it’s supposed to rinse or should I also use sulfate free shampoo in that step? Thank you ♥️

Digital Locations: You did what the client asked. Dunno what's wrong with people in the comments. Anyway, I've never had a keratin treatment. If I want to keep my hair freeze free I use elvive keratin straight oil replacement leave in and wet set it in a drier before flat ironing it. My hair doesn't revert even if it gets a little wet. It stays straight and freeze free until I wash it.

Keshia Breaux: Big difference in the before and after you did a great job I love her hair

Michelle Rodgers: I have 3c/4a hair and i have a keratin treatment, but i don’t flat iron my hair with the product in it, i rinse it all the way out and flat iron my hair as normal, not a bunch of passes on my hair at high heat. I still have my natural curls…i just don’t have any frizz so my hair appears looser. Keratin doesn’t have to permanently straighten your hair. I blow my hair out 6-10 times a year, maybe flatiron like 3-4 times and I still have a curl pattern. My hair is thick, long and smooth it’s not a relaxer, but yes over time you can relax the curl. Still not a relaxer, lol. I have a homegirl who does the treatment exactly as this video, and flat irons her butt length hair every week…she literally has nearly straight natural hair, she’s been doing it over a decade and at this point her hair is frizz free from the keratin, but it’s straight bc she styles it that way exclusively and it’s easier to style bc it has keratin in it.

Sydney Adebo: 1.can you get both a keratin treatment and the a relaxer or one or the other.? 2.can you deep condition after a week or three days of keratin treatment. how often? 3.what is the best way to maintain Keratin treatment? 4.would you recommend relaxer or keratin? 5.Could you deep condition with a relaxer after a week? thank you

kim Hunter: Hi my Friend once again you have did an amazing job!Your client's hair is gorgeous !!!!Love how you shaped her hair as well it made her hair look so healthy ‍♀️‍♀️

Christelle Jacquette: Hello, would you recommend rebounding for type 3 hair??

Von Page: You did an awesome job on her hair.. may I ask what brand of Keratin treatment you prefer? As a lic cosmetologist I have been looking into this type of service but not yet tried it..

Itech car restorations: Lovely work would love to see a maintenance video after a month or so of doing the keratin

May May: Keratin treatment caused me to lose alot of hair. My hair was beautiful and thick just as the client in this video before the stylist applied a keratin treatment.

Marcy Ashby: Happy New Year's! It looks very nice what a difference. She has that thick knotted hair real coarse! I think the thicker the better...but no matter how thick, medium or thin deep conditioners are a must!!

Choppin’ it Up with Chef Ash: Now I’m thinking about a keratin treatment Great job!

Evelyn Boyles: Agreed… as same thing happened to me; hair snapped for months!

Shannon Armstrong: Love the style her hair looks like mine

Life with Dante: You are so knowledgeable and give great advice. Beautiful job!

Tals phiri: Wow love the result. I really wanna get my hair done too. Your voice so calm n the video well detailed. Thanks

Crystal Grose: Her hair is beautiful! You did a great job!

F. U. Nosey ass stalker: I have two questions for you I understand that you have to work as quickly as possible, 1. When working with a black hair and especially hair of the nature in this video, would it be okay to cover the portions of the hair of which I am not working with in order to keep the moisture in as much as possible and to keep the strands open so they are susceptible to the treatment. 2. Should I detangle the hair first before going in with such a fine tooth comb? As I can see a lot of her hair is in the comb. I asked these questions because as some of the women and Friends of whose hair I have the pleasure of working with, have very fine , and dense hair. I am sure they do not want me cutting off more of their hair than needed. As it has taken a much longer for them to see growth then certain people with other hair types.

Tia Antoinette: Great job! I was talking to my client about this but she didn't know how it will work with her dandruff and the treatment that she uses. Any tips or is she not a good candidate?

Crystal Light: I’m getting this done today at 2:30pm. I’m excited.

Jackie Randolph: Her hair looks lovely totally different from when she came in lovely

Shealuv M: What type of keratin did you use?

Roberta Hinton: Her hair came out beautiful

Sandra E: Excellent work as always!! Happy New Year ❤

Cherice Washington: You were really gentle with her hair! Great work.

Who Dis: Excellent explanation. Thanks.

Frankie Girl: Would really appreciate it if you can have your clients do a 6 month update.

LifeWniah: Can you still curl your hair with curling rods an stuff ?

Imoleayo Adeyoju: what is the difference between a keratin treatment and a texture release?

Sunshine K.: How long does the Keratin treatment last with doing regular shampoos?

Gabby Blondet: Keratin is really good, for the hair.

Stephanie Myrealtor: How long does This last also my hair is relaxed how long do I wait before trying this I’m in NYC, willing to take a trip

Alex Mbugua: You have done an amazing job, which are good products for this?

DavaB !: Hi, I noticed that in your old keratin treatment videos you used Keratherapy. Is this brand better?

Rauni J: Great job you are a bomb stylist, but I like how you got the hair in the back hanging on the wall hunny that made my day!

Alvie E-K: Keratin is more of a coating of the hair shaft, no? The coating can be stripped away over time w shampoo. Relaxers are a stronger chemical and the consequences of applying a relaxer wrong are way worse than applying a keratin treatment wrong

Plush Furr: Turned out beautiful. I was cringing a little bit with the multiple passes with the flat iron. But overall, beautiful

Lubna Mustafa: What’s the difference between keratin treatment and protein treatment?

J j: I had a cocochoco keratin treatment. It was meant to wash out in 4-6 months. It has now been 12 months and has not washed out. Do you know of any products that will remove it from my hair.

Mande G: One of the worst things to do to your hair. Mine was snapping and falling out for months after. Ended up with half the hair on my head. Before was in great condition

Barbara Johnson: Wonder how her hair looks now because having 2 different textures of hair on your head can damage your hair especially when your hair is naturally very kinky, like mine.

Clydes Winfield: Wow! Her hair is so thin with the keratin treatment. I thought it would be straight with thickness, body and shine to it.

Carla Tolliver: Gorgeous

Freelance Auntie: Would keratin help gray hair be more manageable?

J: Can you put karatin only on your edges to get the hair in the front smoother just how one would apply perm to just the edges? Also, can you share your shop information. Thank you!

Rachel Covington: Keratin is not a permanent treatment or a relaxer. After six months the keratin treatment wear off and your hair is back to normal

Rachel Covington: Excellent job

Okayyy1817: what do do if you color your hair at home ?

natasha simpson-wynne: Thank you

Kkezi: Does it stay straight?

Jasmine Wadsworth: Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

BlushOnMe TV: You Did Bomb

Lily Ella: amazingggg

JamesB02: Happy New Year Daira , a great upgrade do.

Okolie Amarachi: Can you show the products please?

Aisha Motley: Can u put product in the hair right after u put the keratin in for the flat ironing or is that not needed

Naiki Neshae: How much does a treatment like this cost?

Debra Smith: I'm a keratin girl, but know I'm a Avlon girl no more keratins

ladynefertitibk: fantastic results.

The English Club: Excellent but you didn't show us how it turned out after washing the product!

Okayyy1817: Can you show this client in a wash and go also

Lovingwhat Wisdombrings: I would like to see the hair after the three days

Evelyn Boyles: Do not do it 4c’s it reacts in your hair worse than a relaxer.

Curline Thompson: Where are you located? I have natural hair and need it to be done

Regina: Are th results permanent?

Bernadette Ramos: Beautiful, but kitchen and edges seem the same

Sarah I: You said to not tie your hair up for 3 days, what's the best way to wear it to sleep?

DarkCandy essentials: Why did you have to flat iron one piece of hair so much?

Carlo Carnaje: Wow

Judy Walker: Happy New Year

Anita Thompson: Very beautiful ❤️ you always do such good work injoy watching have a wonderful blessed day today in our Lord GOD and savor JESUS Christ bye

Barbara Johnson: I have 4c hair and received a Brazilian blowout which is the same as keratin treatment...I will NEVER put that on my hair again in life. Reason being is when my hair starts to grow it is sooo damn nappy I couldn't even part my hair with my fingers...this stuff is really made for A, B, C type hair because their hair doesn't get tight and kinky.

Alita Grandison @Lita Bita's Place: Happy New Year Luv

Neka Parson: If she have low porosity hair and this is a heavy product how is this a good idea for her hair? I just want a better understanding can someone explain

Monique Monique: That was alot of passes with the flat iron

Bobby Builder: Please do not get keratin treatment I use to have thick and long hair I got keratin treatment for manageability and my hair is falling from my scalp like crazy. It will cause hair loss

Kelly Laryea: How did the stylist turn from white to black?

Tg: I saw a silk press.. don’t know how this is keratin treatment or what it is

Lexus Linley: I feel like that was to many passes with the straightner.

Ms Ms: You did a great job but all the client's lovely thick hair has gone.

Melissa Lona: How long does a Keratin treatment last? Do you recommend it for children, 8 years old?

A B: Strong thick hair That's a type4??? Then Iam not type 4

Miriam Costantini: YOU DID NOT WASH THE KERATIN OUT AFTER APPLICATION, I THOUGHT IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE RINSED OUT ONCE 20 MIN FINISHED AND THEN CONDITIONED BEFORE FINL TOUCH, OR WE CAN LEAVE IT FOR 3 DAYS BEFORE WE RINSE THE PRODUCT OUT?

Jesse Foster: REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND, TURN FROM SIN AND TURN TOWARDS RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS JESUS CHRIST IS COMING BACK SOON AND WE MUST BE READY FOR WHEN HE COMES BACK

Sister Ya’el: Why couldn’t you just silk press it without the chems?

Ramona Rufai: Her hair seem stiff and no movement or bounce like a silk press...... you should do more tutorials for "keratin treatment" for all hair types

Quran Miracles Ghadir Khutba: ❤Search miracles of the holy "Quran" / "Qadir khutba"

Sister Ya’el: She got a mask on with chemicals in her pores

Bruja Linda: Wow speechless that hair was tore up

Lisa: Does she moisturize her hair at all? It doesn't look well cared for. We shouldn't have to straighten up our hair for a polished look...why not learn to care for the hair in it's natural state...‍♀️

Jay Bell: Her hair Looks Civilized now! Most likely to get a job.... interview at least!
