Hi, everyone welcome to Bombay hair. Today'S video is all about making a high ponytail using your Bombay hair extension, and today I'm going to be using my tamanna 270 gram, ash blonde hair extensions to create this look. I think that the high ponytail is such a versatile look, because you can use it anywhere from going out clubbing all the way to just going out for the day. I love this look because it keeps my hair out of my face, but also looks super sleek and looks like you spent a lot of time. Doing this. So there's different ways that you can do a high ponytail with extensions, but this one I've been using for years, because when I go out, I like to dance - and I like my hair - to be really stuck to my head, and I find that this way of Doing it is fantastic, especially for going out dancing, it will not fall out. This is bulletproof all right, so I'm going to go over the pieces that you will need in order to complete this. Look so you're going to need your hair extensions and the amount of your hair extensions that you use is totally personal preference. But I do recommend, if you have short hair, to use your entire set of hair extensions, because if you have short, hair and you're, not using enough extension for this look. You'Re going to see the divide between your natural hair and your extensions. Then what you're going to need is a brush, so I'm using my Bombay hair brush today and you need a comb, so I'm using my super handy wand, a hair comb both of these are available on the Bombay hair website. I believe this one is ten dollars and this one is five dollars: you're going to need some bobby pins and then what you're going to need? This is optional, but this is what I love to do. Is I like to use my Bombay hair gold, curling wand to finish the look off? It really helps blend my extension into my natural hair. Personally, I like to have a lot of volume in mind, because I just like that super slick here and voluminous ponytail out here - that's just how I like to do it and last but not least, you're going to want to get a really good hairspray. And this is my favorite: it's by Pantene is my Holy Grail. This will control all of your flyaways and I think this whole thing cost me about $ 5 at the drugstore. So this is one of my favorites. So get a really nice strong, holding hairspray anything to just make sure that you're keeping all those little flyaways and baby hairs down. So on that note, everyone, let's get started with the high ponytail tutorial using Bombay hair extensions. I'M going to look kind of crazy for a second here, but don't worry so what I want to do is take two hair elastics, and I should have really said this at the beginning of the video you're going to need two hair elastics we're going to just Pull some hair forward and you want to make a mini ponytail in the very very back of your hair, so like right here so take this little section of hair, grab a hair elastic and make it into a mini ponytail and just keep wrapping that elastic around This mini ponytail, so now you have an amazing little ponytail in the back of your head, okay, so next you want to get your hair extensions and start clipping them around the little ponytail that you made in the back. Ok, so what I'm going to do here is take my two piece and I'm going to clip it all the way around the ponytail and you're just going to keep building on it and building around it and you'll see what I mean so take the first clip Clip it down and then twirl the weft around the ponytail and once you've gotten around it put that down so there's the first layer. Alright, let me take another, I think I'm going to use a three piece and I'm going to go around that little section so find a good spot to anchor down the next clip and start wrapping around the mini ponytail. Can you see that so I'm just going to keep adding you see what's happening now you kind of get where this is going there we go just keep adding until you're happy with everything all right. So I think I'm okay now so now that you have that clip in just check to see if it's blending properly by pulling your hair up, see that is it blending. I think that looks pretty good to be honest, okay guys, so the next step is to pull your hair back. So just take your brush and brush your hair up and all around and just turn it into a high ponytail. So once you kind of get your hair to where you like it, take some hairspray and just start going around, make sure you're getting any flyaways. So once you have everything in place and you're happy with the way your hair is sweeps back in everything. Just go ahead and pop in your second elastic, alright, so there we go so if you're happy with it just up in a ponytail carry on with the rest of the tutorial. But I'm going to add a loop of hair around here. So we're going to conceal things a little bit more with some hair. My trick is to take one of the single pieces from your hair extensions and just clip it in underneath the back of this ponytail and then take it and wrap it around and that, when you're kind of finishing things off a little bit and hiding the hair Elastic so just go ahead and take a bobby pin and just pin that in so you're hiding the end of that hair extension. There you go we're just going to go back in with hairspray and our comb to really help flatten everything and sweep everything out. So finish that part and just spray after you're done so next up the most important part is to finish your ponytail and now I'm going to take my bombay hair brush and I'm going to brush through my ponytail. So next up, I'm going to give my hair a little bit of a curl to add some volume. So I'm just going to take my gold curling wand from Bombay hair, and this is the thirty two millimeter wand and I'm just going to go through and take little pieces of hair and just swirl it around the barrel. All right so just take your hairspray, give it all a nice little spray, and you can see. I just did random pieces around my ponytail just to blend the shorter hair with my hair extensions. Now next, I'm just going to quickly fill in my hairline, which is a big part of what I love to do. When I do a high ponytail, especially if you have brown, hair or black hair. It really just helps finish your hairline off, so I'm going to just quickly fill in my hairline. So I finished my Carolina and I hope it just kind of brings everything together nicely and just makes the ponytail look more finished to cover any bald spots, or anything like that. I find out have two giant bald spots right here on each side of my head. So it just kind of helps, pull everything together, alright guys, I hope you have an absolutely amazing day.
