also sorry everyone for not posting in a week :') kinda disappointed in myself ngl since I haven't missed a beat in 2 years but eyyy it's fine, my engagement is doing ok and I had alot to do so it's okay aofnakjdi forgive me lol

Hey hey, i have ramen noodle dust stuffy on my screen, anyways, so making a new layer above everything, i'm gon na grab the bucket and with the base color, i will repeatedly tap and it'll automatically thin out the lines. Easy peasy nice thin lines with very little effort, because the goal of editing with gotcha is to put in as little effort as possible because i don't want to waste my time, okie dokie. So we have our base layer and now we're going to alpha lock it okie dokie. I already said that twice selecting the base color once again and then getting a slightly lighter color, making sure to keep it nice and saturated yeah. Then i go and grab airbrush normal, don't ask what brush i'm using, because i just set it and tapping it on the top of the hair, because the light comes from the top. I then select the skin color but create a far more saturated, vibrant version of it, and then i tap it on to the bangs in the surrounding hair that goes and surrounds the face. Yep the surrounding hair surrounds the face. You'Re welcome. Why do we sound so mean there's ramen uh, noodle juice? On my ipad, i just realized that oh ew, then we're going to select the opacity of the layer. What this does is it selects? Whatever is on that specific layer, you could access it by following the screen. I hope you do that. I hope you follow the screen. You'Re welcome, i'm so good at instructing people. Aren'T i just pointing out the obvious making a new layer putting it to multiply. Then we're getting this brush, you can screenshot it and import the qr code only works for ibus paint, okie dokie. All right. I got ta stop saying that i got ta, stop saying that i'm sorry! So now what we're going to do is the goal is to kind of take the guidelines and all the little linies thingies and connect it to the root of the hair. The root of the hair can change depending on if it's one point a line point and so on. You can look at references and such or look at your own hairline unless you're bald, you're bald and that's cool too okay. But i assume you're a kid. So i'm slightly concerned, but then again my brother did get a buzz cut before it looked very stupid. I'M sorry, okay, so another important thing is also having line weight when doing these. It'S not just one straight boring line connecting everything to the skull, but i mean scalp, not the skull. Well, i mean it's technically never mind. Okay, so make sure you have different thicknesses, depending on where the lighting is so if the light hits something, the lines will be thinner. If the light doesn't hit something the lines will be thicker: okay, great line weight. I explained it before in another video, so i'm not going to explain it that much in detail here, because i don't care enough and it's actually not imperative. In this situation. Okie dokie yep i'll say that again now you're going to keep changing the size of the brush so that you can create a big shadow at the bottom. In the beginning, it's going to look kind of stupid. Alright also change the size of your brush, please so that they can match each specific little lock of hair. Okay, it will make it look better. Okay, just just do that. Do what i'm telling you to do? That'S the point of a tutorial is so that it can look great and then people get mad at me for not making the tutorial make you look. Sorry, i didn't sleep, i didn't sleep. Oh okay, i apologize and then with a line at the bottom you're. Also going to create one at the top, which is going to create this nice silky, smooth, silky, look, i said silky twice and i do not care so repeatedly do that for the rest of the hair and sew on now, when doing this, it's okay to be Just like a tiny bit messy, but try not to be super. Super messy, try to keep it clean to a certain extent, but don't be afraid to have it like. I don't know make just a little bit of mistakes, because art is very, very, very, very, very boring when you are too tight on rules because um, it's boring and rules suck well actually they're here for a reason, so you know they don't suck okay, i will Be quiet now psych. Actually i won't shut up all right, but please have like big blobby shadows in smaller blobby shadows, because it creates a good balance in art when you have medium small and large shapes okay. So let's apply that to everything, including the hair, okie dokie. Doesn'T that look nice, yeah? Okay! I got ta, stop saying: okay, okay, i'm sorry and then just going in with the smudge brush, i'm just pushing up the blobby shadows up just a tiny little bit since i don't want it to look like 100 fading, and this is just an effect that i See in a lot of anime art - and i want to copy that because i think it looks nice, so i am just spreading out the shadows a little more so that not everything is extremely dark, because i would also like there to be a little bit of Room for the more jet black kind of grayish thingy. What do you call that color very dark blue to go through and shine through alrighty yeah? I wonder how many times i said already in okie dokie in this video. If you can actually count that, i i think that would be pretty cool and i would appreciate it so. This is kind of a long, tedious process which can make things fun and boring, but just focus on each and every single lock of hair, so that you cannot overwhelm yourself and when you do, that, it kind of just helps focus things a little better. So creating a new layer and then we are going to set it to add. Then we are just selecting the base color once again and going to go over things, but here's the thing. We want the hair to look nice, silky and shiny, but one particular mistake that a lot of people make is they kind of make the shine like very, very bright, like super bright, there's a difference between looking nice and silky and looking like plastic? Okay. So once again, when you do the highlights, try to have a nice balance between larger blobby shapes and smaller blobby shapes, as you could see me do as i constantly change the brush size and yes, okay. So it's just a line across that i usually try to make larger on both ends and taper in the middle. Okay. Taper basically means like pinch okay, so you can see that that particular area is nice and wide and the middle is going to be thinner and then, once again, it's gon na be wider again. Okay, great also, it helps a little bit just to kind of drag out. The highlights just to be across that line right there, because it kind of adds a little bit more separation between the hair and that's what we want. We want separation that sounded terrible. We want it to be separated just a little bit, so it can create volume. That'S why that's why we want to be separated now continuing on just gently, pushing it with the smudge brush. Just to gentle, like you know, make it give it a softer. Look. You know it makes it makes it look better. Okay, because we want nice, silky, soft hair. I try to make sure to have hard and soft shadows as i do hair, but i try to make sure that the majority of things are fading or soft, because the hair is soft. Okay, the hair is nice and soft, and that's the impression that we'd want to give off be careful not to make it look like plastic, which can be achieved by only having harder shadows, though it's 100 possible to have nice soft, looking hair with only hard shadows. A lot of artists: do it a lot of animes can do it successfully, but you you would need talent and skill for that which i know you do have. But, like you know, that's not what we're doing right now, we're not doing simple. We are come on complicating things. Well, i can speak english. We are complicating things because that's what's fun: okay, great great huh and now creating a new layer setting it to add once again by the way everything is clipped to the base. Color in case you didn't see and then getting a blue color and an airbrush, you do not need to use blue. You can use green, yellow red whatever, but i want to use blue because when i draw black hair i like to have more blue accents to it. But you know, as i said, you could use anything even green like it really doesn't matter it's black hair. So it's something that could slightly be a little more neutral and you could you could basically just like pick whatever color you want. I always choose blue because i think it looks cool. I am just erasing the face because the ad layer touched up the skin, and now we are going to do a thing called hair strands with a brush that i made because ibis paint is rather lacking. Okay, so what you're gon na do is you are going to hold down, select the color of the hair and then starting from there? You are going to drag out and make more strands, make sure not to go crazy with this step, or else your hair is going to look crazy, you're going to look very frizzy, it's going to look uh. It'S going to look like you just rolled out of bed, which is not the impression that we usually want to give all right. You can also change the thickness of the brush depending on, if you i don't know, if you like it more or something, i usually just keep it in the same range. Also please uh yeah do not go overboard with this. I feel like i have to repeat that a few times because um people don't listen despite the fact that i say things several times so yeah only add hair strands where you feel like it's necessary. When you look at a place, just ask yourself: wow. Does it look like really stiff? Does it look like plastic if it does throw in some hair strands if it doesn't leave it alone? Okay, so the goal here isn't to add as much detail as possible just to be fancy, but it's just to make things. Look a little more flowy natural and soft yep. One of my eyes is literally closing because i'm so very tired, so i'm gon na go now. Thank you so much for the fan art. It'S very much appreciated! Please like and comment. If you can, it really does help make my dreams come true. Thank you so much and see ya.
