Hey guys so in today's video I'm going to be talking about blonde idol. So ever since this came out and I've heard of it, I was very curious to try it out and obviously blonde idol. I knew that it was going to be a cool blonde line. So, as I've mentioned before, I went to a red can affiliated school, so all my background in color is from redken. So, as you know, I was invited to the red can exchange last month and really got the in-depth classes and really learned so much so as I promised you that I would be doing videos learning what I learned at the exchange. This is the first one, and this is the one I was probably the most excited about, because I use it myself and because I had been using it before. I went to the Redken exchange, but I did want to make sure that I was using it in 100 % the correct way. So here it is - and this is why I now want to share this with you and explain and teach you everything that I have learned about blonde idol. So I've been using the blonde Idol on my hair for a couple of weeks now and before I even made a video and explained exactly what I do. I wanted to go to the Redken exchange first and really learn all the in and outs and really just the background of this line, so that I fully understood it so that I could then teach you so here it is I'm going to explain this color line. I'M going to explain what the products consist of and basically what they do. So my favorite thing that they came out with - and I use this so much both in the salon and on myself so see blonde idol base, breaker and so, for most of you have probably heard of what a base breaker is, and basically all it is, is A like low developer color on the route that just kind of bumps up your natural base to something in-between what your natural color is and the blonde that you have in your hair currently, so it gives you a very like soft root. So it's not like a high light blonde or a platinum blonde on the root, but it definitely does soften it so that you know you can wait a few more weeks until you get a highlight. So I love that, especially since the soft root is pretty much in, I feel, like clients can get away with getting this sometimes even twice before they get a highlight or a balayage. It saves you a lot of time because this processes and develops in ten minutes. So that's amazing, and the most amazing thing about this is that it leaves you with a cool tone, even though it's more advisable for someone say with the level 6 or 7 and higher. So this isn't for like a level 4 brunette that gets highlights and then just uses this, then then you will probably get a pretty gold tone, the other big kind of problem or I've heard girls. When YouTube mentioned this, I've heard people say that it doesn't work because of this, and what I learned is a lot of people are using this with a 20 volume developer and it's made to be used with a 10 volume developer and what that does. Is it only lifts a little bit, but it deposits a lot of that ash color. So a lot of girls are saying that this leaves their hair very orangie or brassy, and that's because you're not using a 10 volume. So when you use it with 10 volume, it's so beautiful, so again no damage! You can even overlap it a little bit into the highlights. If you do have that, there's nothing to worry about that. So absolutely my number one blonde idol product love that one. So then, for those girls that do need a little bit more lift say you are not a level 6 or 7 and over and you have dark hair, and you want to lift it in a great way to do. It too is to do the high lift and then a highlight on top, because your hairs Hill has already been a little bit lifted. So when you do that highlight on top, you are kind of eliminating that risk of getting kind of a brassy root or a brassy highlight at the root. So that is super super amazing. I'Ve used high lifts before high lift, sir, for the most part, pretty amazing and a main thing, and this goes for every color line, really follow the directions. If you follow the directions and then you feel maybe you can tweak it or whatever. Then that's up to your discretion, but always follow the directions carefully, so that you really get what that line is trying to give you, and this line is trying to give you a beautiful tone of blonde. So it's not just a bleach. It'S not just something! That'S going to lift you it's going to leave you toned and beautiful, whether it's ash that you want it or a very neutral kind of champagne, blonde whatever it is, it's meant to to leave you brass free, and you know just leave you with this beautiful blonde. Color that could be natural, so so yeah. So then that is the high lift and then the other amazing thing which no brand really has, and that is the blue oil lightening system and what that is is basically it's their bleach and I like it that they're in these individual packets. So this is kind of one application, so this is the powder and then you mix it with your developer, of course, and then into that you mix in the oil booster and that's what's going to give that shine to your hair. It'S going to give that beautiful. Color that, once you know, you've highlighted its again, it doesn't need to be toned, because it's already got that tone built into it. What I did find with this one is, I didn't feel that it lifted. I guess as much as some other Leitner's I've used. I wouldn't even say that it's a downfall to this, but that would be my only if I had to complain about something that would be the only thing but again, like I said I like to use it over this. So I like to high lift my roots and then you don't have that beautiful tone and already lift. And then I go in with the blonde Idol like lightening system, and then I highlight with this and then that leaves me a beautiful bleach kind of blonde. But it so if you use this alone on say like a level 6, then you're kind of on that edge of you might not get. You know perfect results for any of you that you know, maybe in the salons you go to. If this is available, if you go to a Redken salon, definitely ask about it, and I know that you will absolutely love your results and you will love the beautiful tone that you get so now that I have explained what the line is and basically what blonde Idol is all about. I will be doing a video on my updated hair routine for my color, so I use a lot of these blonde Idol products and I will give you exact formulations. I know it's kind of a long time coming that you guys have been asking for an updated hair routine. Obviously, I'm a hairdresser so most kind of tweaking and changing kind of how I maintain my blonde and so most of you guys and know that over the winter I did go with a more balayage dark route and then, in the spring I transitioned back to a Light blonde, so I will have that video explaining exactly what my formulations are and how I go about doing it so definitely stay tuned for that really excited to have a few hair color videos coming up. Thank you. So much for watching don't forget to click here to subscribe to my channel, and I will see you in the next video bye.

Rylee McManus: Great video! I have a question. My client typically gets a full weave and decided she would like to transition to all over lightened to the root. She was not wanting platinum or "playboy bunny blonde" to the root but a natural tone. She's naturally a level 7 so I used a pravana level 10 neutral and level 10 ash with 30 volume. Left on for 45 min and she was still brassy! Would blonde idol be a good way to transform the brassy level 8/9 to a cooler neutral or should I just bleach and tone her? Thanks so much I look forward to your response!

Jessica Bomgardner: I love that you share all your knowledge, you rock! Looking forward to your update routines. I used to have my hair highlighted with redken in Peru and I loved it. Since I moved here nobody has being able to get my highlights blonde, always orange. That's when I turned to YouTube and found you, then I decided to do them myself a year ago, I even cut my hair now. I am very interested in learning all of these. Your videos has helped thousands of orange hair people. Keep them coming! Love you ❤️

MLS: OMG THANK YOU=) this stuff is AMAZING! I'm a natural-neutral level 7 & I (order on amazon) used shade P, 20 vol developer & PH Booster for 35 min. NO heat, & it came out gorgeous! My roots pull to a soft strawberry (it's actually pretty) that I could live with but will wait a week to see how it settles & then tone if needed. I appreciate that you share your knowledge with those of us who are addicted to coloring ourselves. I HATE doing it, but my thick hair grows really fast & the good salons aren't cheap. My hairstylist appreciates that I try to stick to the agreed shade ( cool/creamy blonde) as she doesn't have to fight to overcome what I've done. I'm tired of doing it myself but I feel like it's healthier & almost always looks better. I haven't tackled my own highlight yet...

Bunny Girls: I am so grateful for you, you have clarified so much like no one else, many hairdressers are selfish and even my teachers have had set me for fails, just to said that I did wrong just following their instructions, thanks you have reignited my thirst for knowledge and made see this wonderful world of color as something reachable and feasible,I know I have achieved many successes in a personal level but I needed this push to keep going!!!! Thanks again from the very bottom of my heart.

Krystal Russell: Hi! Love your channel ❤️ so I have a question, I had two people Inna town severely damage my hair doing balayage. I haven't had anything done to it in a year. I'm ombre and honestly I LOVE my color, but right along my forehead I have grays that are making me crazy. They're very obvious against my natural 6/7 base. I want to add a little blonde babylights around my face to blend with the gray. I decided a blonde idol high lift would be sager than bleach. Can I use it with a 10 volume to decrease the chance of breakage? Or will that turn me brassy, or not even lift? Or MUST it be used with a 20. Thank you!

Molly: The blonde idol hair mask is amazing! I just love Redken hair products. I'm always impressed by them.

Hurricane_Caffeine13: Great job! I'm looking forward to your updated hair routine! ❤️

Sarah Saunders: These products are great! I've been trying them and a big difference in having blonde hair.

Taylor Elaine: You are so knowledgeable about this stuff! Could you do a video on your start in the hair business! Like telling us where you went to school and your experience. And just advice in what to do if I want to do what you do!? That would be so awesome! Xoxo

Fiona Henshall: love your videos they are so helpful and I've had lots of compliments about my hair colour since I've followed you. I've had people asking me if I can do their hair. It's inspired me to go to college and study hairdressing.

SimplyShe __: Thanks for the videos! :) Can you put the base breaker on the length and ends of the hair? For girls who just want to lift the whole head one-two levels?

MissCrystal: Great video, Sylvia! I go to a Redken salon so I'll ask about this next visit. :)

OnlyYouCanBeYou: Can the base break solution and the high lift solution be purchased separately from the kit? Also do you think you can come up with a personal base break solution and high lift solution that's not from the redken line?

Brianna Elizabeth Freedman: Please do some makeup tutorials too. I love your simplistic style

ellebangs: As some of you guys know I went to a Redken school so all my background in color is from Redken, so I am somewhat bias towards Redken products in that I know exactly how to use them. This video is in no way sponsored by Redken, except, as you know they Kindly offered to further train me AT the Redken Exchange in how to get the most out of their products.

Terri Esposito: Hi Silvia...I have this entire box of products and my question is can you use the base breaker if I have a 25-30% of grey in my hair? Thanks so much...Love ya!! ~God Bless!

Robina's tips: what level do you use for the highlift? What developer? Thank you!

Andrea-Rebecca Hosarøygard: Hi, I can find a lot of these products separately, and I've looked on the Redken site, but I can't seem to get a source of this kit. Can you direct me to where you generally get it?

John Huang: hi Elle, can you advise if Blonde Idol High Lift can lift hair that's already colored?

Nichole Rochelle: love that you share your knowledge about hair, I have learned so much from you

Cinderelly: thank you for sharing info! always trying to find ways to maintain my blonde. even natural it still needs tlc

Martha Henry: Thanks Sylvia for the Redken Blonde Idol Color line...looking forward to upcoming videos....Have a great weekend.....

Mackenzie Swenson: Hi! I high lifted my hair once and left it on for 45 min and my hair came out orangey. If I highlift it again will it turn it be more blonde or just a brighter orange?

Jena Powell: You mentioned use blonde idol base break for level 6 and greater. So if I want to base break a level 5 to a level 6 or 7, should I use the high lift or blonde idol?

Autumn Wascher: Can you do a video for more info on how to choose your shade and what the letters mean (ex: 5-7b/blue or 5-7n natural) for blonde idol high life shades? And clear or cool base break

Denise Castro: Can you use Redken’s blonde idol color as a toner with a 10 volume or no lift developer

Gabriella Blazed: Have u tried k18 peptide ?????I’ve tried when highlighting and bleaching out 2 of my manikins and it’s so much better than olaplex. I’ve also tried using k18 and olaplex on 1 of my relaxed manikin and had no damage and no fall out.

Joy Hines: Will this work on natural grown out roots to lift it? My hair is a level 6 natural. My roots are dark but the rest of it is bleached at a level 9 right now. Ive been hiliting with blondeme lightener then toned with 1 part 09v and 1 part 09p and 2 parts processing solution. I need to my roots but im nervous that I'm gonna overlap since I do have breakage right now.

Leah: Hi, I enjoyed watching your video. I would love to become a licensed cosmetologist. Is there any tips you like to give? Thank you. <3 :)

Davila Lissette: What can i use for my roots because it still looks golden after me using this product??

Robina's tips: Silvia hi. I want to do the first product you mentioned. The one with the 10 volume for 10 minutes. My client has highlights and wants something in between. I'd its on more than 10 mins will it turn brassy? She has long hair and it will take me longer than 10 mins to put in!!! How would you apply it?

Jessica Tavita: Are blonde idols efficient with gray hair also?

Katherine C: What’s your favorite bleach (hair lightener)?

Leslie Branam: Anyone know if this is the clear or cool base breaker?

hawazen j: i love blonde idol! i swear by it

Scottie Shull: Your hair looks warm not cool. I love it. So what do you use in this line to achieve this warm color.

zombae08: If you use the base breaker and then add a Demi permanent hair color all over the head right after do you think the Demi color will be affected by the idol?

TheElfin24: Silvia how do you use the base breaker on your own hair as you are quite dark, doesn't it go brassy and golden on you? Thanks xo Joan xo

carradoll64: Could you do a video on Redken Blonde Icing?

Artshealing: I purchased the kit with pearl color, I was wondering if you use Olaplex with this kit? If so, do you change the developer volumen? I subscribed to your channel, hope you will check out my in subscribe back.

Kate Gaston: Does anybody know where I can buy the box set please from the UK ???

Mia.K: Awesome vid!! thank you so much!! merci

Kittrina Cole: Do you use the redken blonde idol shampoo and conditioner? Thoughts?

Taylor: Where can we buy this?? Thanks!

Amy Cameron: Hello!! I love your videos!! I wish you were in SoCal!! I cannot find the updated video where these products were used?? Can anyone help me find it??

Erica: I am so buying the base breaker thanks

Kassandra Herring: You should do a give away and this kit be the prize (: <3 <3

Kara Vose: Where can I buy this product?

Leticia Molina: Thank u so much for ur education...

Veronica Gaona: Please do a demo on a model esp w dark hair going blonde

Selcen K: Please please please answer me Silvia pleeease! My hair starts to breaking off from front a lot, i used olaplex 1-2-3 and kerastase conditioner- elixir all the time. And then i think i have to try the redken products which is not available in my country, But a hairdresser of mine find some products from other countries and i buy them all! My question is: I bought redken extreme primer and split ends which works great together. But i also bought anti snap leave in treatment and conditioner. If i use primer first after shampoo does the conditioner and leave in treatment would work? I am asking because you teach us that if hair folucules closed the treatment won't work. How should i use my new and rare and probably last products. I have no extra hair left to risk. : (( You are my hero, thanks in advance!

stephanie carmichael: What level is your hair naturally?

ANGEL RISING FAST: your roots look super gold

Clare Rotunno: I lOVE that watch, what kind is it?

The Butterfly Dragon Effect: the way you foil needs to be adjusted but the knowledge of the color is awesome

Ginger Snatch: You talked nothing about using this for on the scalp bleaching and toning.

Deborah Trevino: How much would you charge to do my hair

Gina Lady: What about darker hair colours like black

angela maxwell: If you have been using this product for two weeks on your hair then why are your roots so dark looking in this video ?

Shari Cook: Love your teachable tone. So over the valley girl approach to teaching, so distracting

Rebekah Oakland: Do u this color at Canby mn at the hair gallery?

Olivia Modena: How do you take care of your blonde in between colorings. I ask because my daughters tends to look dry and brittle and not sleek but gets oily easy on top. Plz help

chris warner: pp
