How To Apply Hair Extensions Tutorial + Review

Hey guys, so I have a meeting to get this video up for you for a while now and I apologize for the lighting and everything this is the best lighting I can do. Let me show my closets, you guys aren't looking in there um, but I'm in my bathroom right now and it's super cloudy and dark and gloomy outside, so there's no good natural lighting anywhere. So this will have to do, but I wanted to get this video up for you all. It is a video about um, hair extensions that I was lucky enough to be sent and it's um called the princess, hair shop, um, hair extensions and they were kind enough to contact me asked if I wanted to review their hair extensions - and I said yes now - I'Ve never owned any other hair extensions on like clip-in extensions. Besides um the Sally's Beauty Supply your next hair extensions. My old extensions are actually the same length as my real hair now, so my hair has gone very long and they really don't do anything for me anymore. Maybe they're like just like a half an inch longer than my real hair, so I was really excited. So I'm gon na go ahead and show you everything they sent me because I also send me a flat iron um and I'm gon na review it, and then I'm also give you a little tutorial on how I put in my hair extensions. So the first thing they sent me was um a little bag, which I thought was cute and it has like a chopstick in it. Um it's an SPF 15 and it's just got their logo on there. They sent me a pin and then some of their business cards, so that's um, their business cards and their customer service was great. When they contacted me, you know they were very friendly, very sweet and I actually went on their website. They told me to check out their website, see what I would like to order. They have all types of hair extensions. They have um ones that you glue in on. They have West. If individuals, they have kinds that you can be din and then they have clip ins. I of course, is interested in clip ins because um I find that hair extensions that are semi permanent, permanent hair extensions. They damage your hair a lot and I get irritated with things like in my hair. It just drives me crazy. I mean I can barely handle clip in extensions. I can leave them in for a couple hours, but like I'm, not one of those people can wear like extensions in my hair all day long. Let me show you that the Flatiron they accept me. First, it's really really cute and it comes in a couple different colors. This is it it has their logo on it as well the princess hair shop. It is like a digital one and it is like rounded. So it's really good for curling your hair. How are the extensions - and i said, i've only ever reviewed - i think one other thing from a company - and that was the natural beauty box and oh and i did do a one flat ironed before, and i mentioned that with a natural beauty box. I love that they like wrote a little note to me. That shows that they really appreciated that. I am doing such a thing and they did the same thing for me. So I don't know if they saw that video and saw that I appreciated the how or what but they wrote. Thank You, Caitlin, and I think little things like that are cute, so I have open these before, but i have actually um only worn them once because i've been trying to like save them for this video. So here they are right here and what was really nice. Um - and let me show you how much care of this - this is first of all, okay, so right, here's all the hair! They sent me. Okay right, you think that's enough right! No, they sent me a whole nother bag that i didn't even open because I felt like I didn't even need it cuz, that's. How much further is look at how they send you a whole nother bag. I was navigating through the website. I didn't really know like. I was having a hard time navigating through their website and like picking um, how color for me. So I contacted them and I said: look I yeah I'm interested in reviewing your product, but I am having a really difficult time, like um picking my hair color. So can you help me - and I told her - I maramba level, five or six, and so she sent me these and they were a perfect match, and these are the clip in 22 inch number four straight: hair extensions, um, there's their little cards, all natural human hair Virgin hair, which is really cool because um, I know like the Sally's ones - are not virgin. Hair they've been processed like they're, human hair and their rummy, but they are have been processed and died to like be that color. This is like literally virgin hair. That'S not been colored, so we're going to go ahead and um apply these, so you can see how I do it. It'S really easy. Let me take off my scarf, so I like to just grab like a little clip so you're, going to take your hair and section off some hair okay, so you just want to section um a section that looks like this: okay um pretty low down, but you Don'T want to go, I don't like to go too low, where I can feel like the thing like hitting my neck, because it just really irritates me they'll, give you different lengths. So these are the individual links those I like to save to do at the very very end. Then they give you a little smaller one. It'S just got two clips and then here's two three once okay, so i'm going to take one of the largest ones, because this is like the widest part of my head right here and so you're just going to unclip these, and I also really love the clips On these extensions much better than um the Sally's ones now let me show you what I'm doing so. I just like to kind of find the center and I clip the center and then I pull these taught, stick them in and clip them. So then you're going to take either with your section comb or your fingers, I'm just using my fingers, because you know what I find that easier, you're just going to take like maybe another inch above the one that you just did so you can see. So I'm going to take my other um left with the three unsnap bum. Do the same thing now you're going to do the same thing just another small section and for someone with fine thin hair. This is where the challenging part gets with clip in extensions or any type of extensions. Is you don't want to you want to leave enough hair on top that they don't show, so I always have to really be careful that I leave enough hair on the top of my head to hide the extensions. So now, what I'm going to do is I'm going to take the little tues. What I'm going to do with these is, instead of playing placing it directly in the back of my head, I'm going to place it kind of off to the side. So what I'm? Actually going to end up doing is making them, so they go like this around my whole head. I just kind of feel for it, and now I have one more of those little too ones, and I like to place that one. I'M take a tiny, tiny section, because again I got ta keep this thickness up here, so I'm taking like just a tiny section above those ones and I'm going to play the places right in the center in the back just to give a little more fullness right Here right above that last section, and you can see how much hair it looks like, I have ok. So now i'm going to let down the top part of my hair and you can see now. This is where I find there's like a bit of a problem. It'S like see, the front is like not there's not length, because most of it is in the back. So this is what i use a little individual ones for i just take a little bit under here and if you have like short layers like i do, you want to keep the short layers because um, it just looks like you - have long hair with really short Layers so just hold your short layers out of the way and kind of find where you still have like your long hair, because that's what's going to keep it looking natural and apply one right in there same with this side. And there are the extensions completely applied. So that's it!
