Hi guys I'm going to talk about a few different types of extensions and let me just kind of start off with the most popular one that most people know about and I used in my tutorials and stuff. So these would be the clip in hair extensions. My clips are probably really terrible looking because I'd use them too often the ones I bought at Sally's or African salons are good temporarily, but not for you know wearing every day. So my next thing - fusion, hair extensions um, so they bought these online. So they look like this, so this is what most like celebrities and stuff get is like this kind of fusion hair extensions and what what you do with these you're, probably going to have if you have short hair like me, you're probably gon na have like a Thousand of these in your hair, so you would take it cuz, I'm not doing it like like really good right now, but I'm just going to show you like kind of an example. So you do. Is you put it on your hair, like so see how it's? Like that, then you take a machine sort of like this guy right here and what it does is it heats up really really hot and you dude you take it and then you press it against your hair onto your hair and then it'll melt, and then you Go like this and rub it into your hair like this, so what it does and then it looks like a long strand. That'S attached to your hair, so this is the most like kind of natural way. You can have do hair extensions like that, and it looks kind of like a like a u-shape and when you do this kind of hair extension to you would need a whole bunch of different colors, especially if your hair is highlighted or whatever to match your hair. So that's a different kind of hair extension. You do not want to put these in unless they're cuticle intact, like I was telling you before, because that will be a huge mess you to make sure that your hair is a really good quality, especially before you put this and because doing the clip ins are Fine, because you can just take them out, but these are well heck of a lot harder to take out. If you know they don't work out, uh, okay, I'll show you I'll show you the little tip like this. So what you do with these? Is you retake? These are little beads and I have them brown, white and blacks. I would use the brown ones because the roots of my hair around and it's where it's going to be you don't want, like a whole bunch of white things showing it around. So what you'll need for this? It'S like a tool like this has a little um and done it like that, and you would put the little bead because it has a hole in it. Obviously, through it like this and then and then you would take a piece of hair and again, this is underneath the top layer of your hair you'd start from the bottom, but I'm just giving you an example. So you would put it on your hair like this and then you'd slide. The bead onto your hair see how it's on the hair in here and then you would take this hair and slide it through make sure it's facing down, and then you would take these. This kind of tool right here um. This came with my kit, my like um hair extension kit, but I think you can find these tools like kind of anywhere and then what you do. Is you clamp? You want to make sure that the clamp is on the hair and the the tip of the extension, where it's flat there and then you're going to just press down and then to take these out. All you have to do is clamp the opposite way of what you clamped and then pull it out, and I wouldn't really suggest doing this type just because it um it puts a lot of pressure on your hair like and it squeezes it a lot because it'll Break off and stuff like that, so probably wouldn't really recommend this type. I'Ve done this to my hair before and it seems like the like, um fall off like it comes out of the hair like when you squish it like this seem like they're space in between and like your hair gets pulled out and it gets all matted at The root - I don't know, I don't really like it that much, but that's ridicu, another type of hair glue in hair extension. This is good to keep in your hair for like a couple days and really not to swim with our washer. What you would do is you would take a strand of hair without the clips on it. Obviously, but like a left of hair like this, you would take some kind of glue like hair blonde in glue. I just got this at the African salon, you're bonding glue. I think this was like two dollars or something, and then what you would do is you would glue along this whole left right here and then you would part your hair make sure it's a really straight line, and then you would glue it down along your part. I really wouldn't recommend doing this one. It'S really messy too um, but if you had like the glue remover, it would be easier, but it just ruins the hair that you bought. You might as well just use clippings, there's also a different kind of extension to others. Like million, I mean I'm sure you can find if so many more different types, just giving you kind of like the most popular types okay. So there was another type of extension like this, and I have this like cute little pink, um strand of extension, and it looks like this has like a little plastic piece. It has a little thing hanging out and it has this little um clamp like I was showing you before. Don'T look at my nails, cuz they're horrendous, so you just pull your hair through like this and then you're gon na. Take this little guy and you're going to pull it. My hair is not working today, I'm going to try it on another extension: pull your hair through and then you'd pull this through, so your hair would be next to it. So it would look like this, like it's kind of like attached to it, but it'd be sitting on your head flat like this. For some reason, it's not working from my hair today but whatever, and then you would clamp it shut. So it's the same, clamp idea. It'S just supposed to be a little bit easier. Oh yeah, there's a straight one, which I'm not a really a huge fan of, because, especially if you're going to be straightening, your hair and stuff, and they look like this and they're like little um plastic tubes. You take this tool again and you put it through here this and you would put that on your hair like and then once this is on your hair. Like pretend, this is a strand of your hair like a little thing here, you would put this in the little tube go through to I. Take this tool, see how it has like little indented like this. That'S so it could fit in and then you'd squeeze it and melt it and then what it would do it would shrink around the hair. I'Ve never really tried these on my hair before so I can't like vouch for them or anything, but I've definitely want to get use an extension side and fusion extensions are really really expensive. That'S why I haven't been doing them yet, unfortunately, but those are the ones that I really really want: um and kind of try to judge what what's your color like, that's, really really hard, I think that's it for now. I can't really think of much more. So i hope that guy that helped you guys and if you have any questions or comments, let me know - and i hope talk to you guys soon see you later guys. I mean eyelashes are here to rate, so I decided to you guys about hair about keeping your hair healthy um. What else to say, can I tell you clamp the can't talk fool the people with, like you know, silky hair, smooth, hair, the most popular type, the heck isn't. But it's not like you know, best fighters on the rise, so I hope to come back soon and i hope to tell you

Qtpi_ontario: This video is so informative ! ok ... bottom line, what kind of extensions would you reccomend if you wanted to add a few strands of colour, nothing dramatic or permanent for about a week, and no trouble washing your hair?? :>)

ImMo1256: Okay!!!... yay you helped me because i'm getting extensions for prom, and i had no idea what my hairdresser was talking about when she said how she did it, but you helped me. THANKS!!!!!!

Mondi: the i-tip extensions method works fine if you put them in right and it also depends on the little plastic thing where you attach the ring to. ive had alot of problems with the plastic things because they were too thick and so they wouldnt flatten when i squeezed the rings, and the hair would slide through and its a mess!!

Chelsey Dawn: Clip in extensions are the best way to go. Believe me i've tried it all to the glue, sewn in, fusions all that ..

MMV: My mom has thinning hair which ones would you recommend for her?

HairGirl247: @tinkbellkiss micro link extensions for sure. You can buy them at a salon with the micro links already attached! :)

HairGirl247: I don't honestly remember! I bought them so long ago online and even though they promoted that they were quality hair, I don't believe they were :(

MichelleVirginiaaa: Where would you suggest getting fusion hair extensions from? And I live in the US.

FishSimmons: you look soooo pretty in this video! <3

Pennythecat: can i have your opinion ??? :) i want long hair, so i havent been cutting it but until them i want to get extensions, I dont straighten or curl my hair, but I like to do braid my hair in a lot of ways :) if i wear extensions does that mean I cant braid them? what type do you recommend :)

HairGirl247: @benemanoo This is not a how to video, it is an informational video on different types of extensions :)

K: thanks...this was a very informative video

ph0eix: would you wear clip on extention for about a week?

HairGirl247: I'm glad you liked it!

Link Taylor: You are really pretty. I was trying to find something I didn't like about you and I have to say that you seem cosmetically perfect.

BreannaShelbyMustang13: Thanks for sharing ♥

eruuris: can you wash extensions?

benemanoo: This info is really basic. One thing If you apply micro ring extensions or loop or anything like that, you always have to work with the same thick hair strand of your own hair as the extension piece is. This way the weight of the extensions does not plug out your own hair.

reneeterry440: is that your real hair? its really pretty.

dandelion: How many I-Tip microlinks do you use for your head?

Victoria Lockwood: the bloopers were hilarious she got distracted so easily

abiapples1: fusions look trashy. your hair already looks awesome with the clip ins

HairGirl247: thank you! :)

Marcy Black: Just wondering what your hair color is? So I can tell my stylist? Thanks

Kaleseya: On this video you kinda look a little like alexa from glam fairyc:

HairGirl247: @bigfanofwillowsmith In this video I was 23, I am 26 now ;)

missklaralicious: like african people do wave it in

Jessica Leigh: do youu live in england or america or something?! youu kinda sound english

jada turner: how old r u like 20 23 25

HairGirl247: @juicyjleigh lol no I am from canada
