Hi everyone welcome back to my channel. My name is julissa for those of you guys that I need you here welcome here, for those of you guys that tuning all the time. Thank you guys so much for all of your support. So today, I'm gon na show you guys how I color my hair, I'm gon na show you guys the products that I use, how I mix them and how I color it myself at home. All by myself, I'm gon na also show you guys or kind of give you some advice on how to color your hair on your own. If you're gon na do it on at home by yourself, I've been getting requests to do this for every longtime. I think that's like my most frequently asked question on. Instagram is what hair color I use. So if you guys want to see what hair color I use and how I color my hair by myself at home, then keep on watching quick disclaimer, though, for those of you guys that are professionals and do this for a living, don't come for me, please! I used to do a hair many years ago. I still have my license, which is how I get my hands on these products. I choose to do this at home because I hate sitting in a chair in a salon for a lot of hours, which is why I've kept my hair pretty dark for a long time now I hate going to sort up this along, like I said so, I Chose to start coloring, my own hair, does it come up perfect? No, do I do exactly what a professional does? No, I know what a professional you should be doing, and I know that I do skip a lot of steps and I know that I changed it up a little bit, but it works for me and I am totally happy with the process and the results. So please don't come for me, no criticism, please I'm doing this solely because it's been requested of me and I really wanted to share it for those people that want to see it. So I hope that you guys enjoy this video. Let'S get started, let's start mixing. So I'll show you guys how I mix my color, I use red can color fusion and this one is in 7n. I also use this one and this one is 6mv, so each tube has 2.1 ounces. So I'm going to add 2 ounces of the 7n. I'M gon na add one ounce of the 6mv. Another thing that I need is a thirty developer. It doesn't have to be this brand. Obviously, it's not the same brand as a hair color. This is just what I had in hand. So this is what I'm gon na use if you use a redken brand. I don't even know to be honest with you if it's gon na make a big difference to me, developers developer. Since I know I want to mix 4 ounces, I'm gon na go ahead and pour 4 ounces of this into my bowl. My board has measurements inside. If you guys have a cut that measured a measurement cup, that's even better. I don't have one anymore, so I'm just going to use my bowl, then I'm gon na go ahead and add 2 ounces of the 7n. Then I'm going to go ahead and squeeze another elms from the new tube. Then we're going to add just one ounce of the 6mv, and now all we have to do is mix all right. So I'm going to get started and the first thing I'm going to do is put my gloves on. So you obviously want to put on a shirt that you don't want, or you don't really care about, because it's gon na get stained like this once stained. I use this one to color my hair. I don't like this, not that I don't like it it's just. My hair color is shirt now. Another thing that I suggest is that if you're gon na wear gloves get gloves that fit you, so these are a size small and do you guys can see how snug they are I'll? Do that my thumb? But this is perfect because then I don't get slip like slippage. I don't worry, they don't slip when I'm coloring my hair, the worst thing when you're trying to when you try to color your hair, is when your glove is like falling off cuz. If it's you too big, so I just want to start off by saying that my hair is obviously not perfect. I color my own hair. Yes, I used to do here, but doing your own hair is not the same as doing someone else's. It'S a lot more difficult. I obviously can't see the back so sometimes like after I color it, and I start like fluttering my hair curling. It I see spots, I don't care anymore, but I'm just letting you guys know if you guys have helped, or you guys have somebody that can help you that's better. My husband always offers to help me, but I get a little frustrated because I hate like having to walk him through it. Even though he's like super detailed, and he does do his very best. But honestly, I just got used to just doing it myself. Instead of asking for help - because I, like I've, told you this before I hate relying on people, so what I've noticed is this right here is a perfect regrowth to color my hair. Again, if I wait any longer, I end up getting AB, and so you can really tell on camera. You guys can a little bit huh sorry. This is my natural hair color and then I have a band right here. That'S light, then, I have kind of like a darker color here and then light again. The reason is because, when I take too long to color my hair, so, for example, if my regrowth is here, your ended up getting a dark spot in the middle, because the root always comes up lighter because the root and your scalp is warmer. So the warmth from your scalp makes the color lift faster, and a lot lighter so like this right here is gon na, be a perfect regrowth. The last time it took me longer to color it because it was like right after my surgery. I was gon na color it before my surgery, but I just didn't get to it. So I had a lot of weak growth, so I'm gon na go through it and just do the roots really quickly. You do have a large mirror in front of me. So that's what's helping me in the back. To be honest, I just guess I like to go through and around the face just to make sure that we get all those little hairs colored first. This is the first time that I do my hair sitting down always dude on my bathroom standing up. So, let's see how this goes with this mirror, so I'm doing the same thing in the back, I'm just adding it straight to the roots. You know what would be a good idea: oh yeah, oh yeah, okay, oh my god, you guys I'm looking at it right now. Can you guys see in the camera? I did a good job. You guys can see it's already starting to lift. So I got ta hurry up the last time I had all black hair. I think I was like in sixth grade my mom sewed. It coloring our hair got a really young age, and I mean like when I was like in sixth grade. She wouldn't do like all of it. We would have like highlights and stuff like that, but ever since then I started coloring my hair. This is what our it starts to get really exhausting the best thing to do if you're gon na color your own hair and you're new to it slaughtering your hair before you start coloring it, because it gives you a lot more control, as you guys can see. If my hair was like chrizzy and would be a lot harder for me to control it and separate, it then like how it is now the reason why it's looking so easy. It'S because my hair is flat and it's untangled and it's soft and it's not clean either. I think I washed my hair. I washed my hair on Friday in today's Saturday. Yes, I washed it yesterday, so it's not completely clean, but it's also not too dirty. You also don't want to do you, don't you don't want to try to color your hair when your hair is like three days dirty or more, because your scalp will have a lot of oils in it, and I mean it's not gon na work, but it's not You'Re not gon na get the same results, and that's happened to me before all right. So all right, okay! So now I'm done coloring all of it check out this volume them. So now, what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na go through it gon na start on this side and I'm gon na comb through my hair just to blend in that line of demarcation, where your roots meet the hair color and then also to try to Lighten up the hair about that color. Now that I told you that I have right there, so I'm just gon na comb it through like this, then I'll add a little bit of color and then you can start getting biblethumb. You can start grabbing bigger sections when you're doing this, because it doesn't really matter because they here's the your hair sprint will be pretty saturated already. Just like that then again, and do you guys see why I told you it's important that your hair is nice and straight and not tangled? Because if your hair is tangled once you add the color to it, this part is going to suck for you. This is gon na, be your opportunity to see if you have any spots that you missed and then you can add color now no purse. This takes a little bit of time, but it's worth it and honestly like for me, I don't get lazy to color my hair, like I hated doing hair for other people. I did it for a few years and I was good at it, but I just hated it. I think I just hated dealing with people that were divas. I didn't like people telling me what to do or when I have to be at work. Yes, that Shelly brides okay, so I'm gon na keep going like this until I get to the bottom and then I'll switch over to the other side. Okay, so I'm basically done. I have a little bit extra, so I'll just go through my hair kind of add it on the top. That'S back I'll, go down the middle again, just to be safe around the front, so I'm gon na. Let it sit now for like 25 minutes and then I'm gon na go ahead and wash it. I just jump into the shower and wash my hair like. I normally do so while shampoo it twice and then I'll condition it and then that's pretty much it and then I'll style it straight after, but I will be back to show you guys. The final results all right, you guys, so I am done. I wash my hair, i blow-dried it. I curled it for you guys. I even did my makeup and I'm not even going anywhere today. So all of this was for you guys. I hope that you guys found this video helpful. I hope that I covered everything. If I missed anything, you guys leave me questions down below the product that I use. I get it from a professional store. I get it from salons centric here in California. I don't know if there's a different store in other states, but I know there's other places. You guys can get your hands on these products, I'm not sure, but this is what I use I've been getting so so many questions and finally, I got around to creating this video for you guys. I hope that you guys learned something, because if you didn't learn anything then what's the point in watching. Thank you guys again for all of your support. Please leave a thumbs up for this video leave a comment down below and don't forget to subscribe.
