Hi, i'm tammy with from the lab i'm here with my girl, aaron and our international beauty consultant shannaz, and this is a very exciting day because wait for a drum roll, please. We finally have our first two products, yeah all right chana's. What did you bring for us? Okay, these are great products, the products from the lab. We were able to find them in italy and they're, not gon na be on the market for at least another year, so i'm really excited to be showing them to you. For the first time today, i love it. What do we got? Okay, the first one is the face. Primer 327.. Now there's a lot of primers on the market. This one is unique because it does a lot of different things and what we like to say is it's multi-performant, so it's going to not only help prime your face for foundation and makeup, but at the same time it's also going to tighten your pores. It'S going to give you free radical activity and it's going to really help against anti-aging, and on top of that, it's like a cc cream. The big buzz is the bb cream, the cc cream or color correcting creams all in one nice. Okay. So how does this work? Okay, basically, a primer, as i said, is made to hold your foundation or your powder. I didn't even know there was such a thing as makeup primer. This is this is all new to me. Oh no makeup. Artists have been using primers for years, but it's been their little secret. So what they do is you use your your creams and then you use a primer and that'll hold your makeup now. What also is great about this one is. It holds your makeup for 24 hours. Now i'm not saying to go out and and not you know, go to sleep for 24 hours, but it can. If you want to go from day to night, you don't have to reapply your makeup. So basically, you've got your primer that is helping not only even out your skin tone and prevent the shine, because it's tightening your pores while it's treating your skin for fine lines and wrinkles. But at the same time, it's giving you a nice luminous effect and it's holding your foundation your powder. Can you imagine how much makeup you would save by not reapplying every hour, like i do every day of my life right when you find makeup also has a tendency to get a little cakey or chalky during the day. My face just won't need this makeup like it's gone gone. I'M, like i swear i put makeup on this morning, face primer, that's what you need and what's also great, is for someone like me. I don't like to use a lot of foundation. You can use this as a standalone product, so let's say you want to go out quick in the morning. You use your, you cleanse your serum and your and you put your day cream on. Then you can go ahead and just use that the primer is going to even out your skin tone get ready. You can go right out, you don't even have to use foundation. If you don't want to. I love that i need to have a powder to set it though yeah you would with a no no it'll set on its own. You could use a powder and your powder will stay, but you can use it as a standalone. If you choose to okay white elephant in the room, it's white, how does this cover every single skin color? It'S really great, because not only is it, as i said, great for every skin type, but it's good for every skin color, because as you'll notice, if you put it on it, has this really nice luminous effect. But it goes on sheer so you're. Creating a lovely canvas and it's blending into your skin and, at the same time, doing the color correcting for you, so all skin types all skin tones, i'm trying it it's really nice. What is okay, so what's the right way to apply a primer to your face? Well, what i try and recommend people it feels awesome. Isn'T it great you try and always put it on in an upward motion. You want to go ahead and put all over your face and your neck and your difficulty. You want to make sure you also get that area, because everyone's working here, too fancy words decollete. Ladies, i learned this earlier. Yes, this is a decollete everyone's looking scott yeah. This is great, isn't it beautiful and it feels really awesome, yeah yeah. I love it. Okay, so what is our other product? We'Ve got, so we stayed in the primer family, which is really exciting. We went ahead and found an eye lift primer. It has some really great ingredients that help fight again fine lines and wrinkles, but the kicker here is: it has a lifting effect which is really nice. Are you finding that, during the day when you're putting eye shadow on somehow it gets a little cakey, it sits in the crease? Yes, i hate that won't happen. You can go ahead and apply it. It won't happen. It'Ll stay nice and fresh. Your color will stay vivid all day and again the lifting effect now also what i like about it is because of this beautiful brown or beige color. You can actually use it also as a standalone, so you can have a nice beige eye shadow and you don't even have to use an eyeshadow just this, oh pretty! Yes, how again, because i'm not an expert. How do you apply this to your eyes? Because, since i don't use it now, i'm going to be like i don't know what i'm doing well and that it's really simple you're going to take a little bit off the wand, put it on your finger and then apply it from the inner corner of your Eye to the outer corner and that's it and it dries really quick. So you don't have to wait to apply your powder, okay and you're good to go. Do you need to set it? I don't know why i'm obsessed with setting powder, but i've always been told that more is better, more isn't. Better, no combination, it's better to look like a clown. No, no, this it dries right away, and then you just either put your eyeshadow or again standalone. Okay. I love that yeah. That'S super easy for me when i'm rushing out the door - and i don't have time to put on layer after layer and then it's there all day, you're ready to access too okay. So these are awesome and we love them and we always love having you here. But can you give us a little sneak peek of what we can get next month? Well, i'm not allowed to say just a little teaser tase machine, oh okay, um i'll, say this. Okay, two products skin care from switzerland. That'S it amazing! Okay, love it! Thank you. That'S all the latest beauty news, i'm erin lucas back to you, tammy, let's be real, we've all considered getting hair extensions, but there are so many different types and kinds. Where do we even begin? Don'T you worry because here is melissa magsaysay with the beauty, insider hi, i'm melissa, mike sayse, and today we're here with hairstylist and the owner of the private room in beverly hills, tina, dijon, hi, tina, hi melissa. How are you good? How are you thank you so today we are talking about hair extensions and i think that when it comes to hair extensions, people are curious about them, because you know we see celebrities and you know people who are wearing them and it looks amazing and their hair Looks full and lush, but i think for people who have never worn them, it can be a little bit daunting. Don'T you think, because it's a whole process, yes and that's why the great way to the best way to start is with clipping extensions, so you're not committed to the more permanent type of extensions that they have out there: okay, they're so popular now, clip-in extensions. You can have longer fuller, thicker, hair, okay in no time at all, okay, and when you say clip in it's literally like a clip that clips into your head, and i can show you how to put it in yeah, okay, so those are clip and extensions and For depending on, if you want length or volume, it will depend on the type of hair that you choose and the length that you choose: okay and how many you put in your hair, okay, so for carly's hair, she has great hair already. She has gorgeous hair beautiful, beautiful hair if she wanted a light out longer, thicker hair. We would just put a couple of rows because she already has a lot of hair right. If her hair was shorter and she wanted longer hair, then we would use normally they come in a set of five to seven. Okay, you would use all of them, but in carly's case you only need to use a couple of that. So we're not adding length to her we're adding volume, adding volume. Okay, it'll, add a little bit of length, but she doesn't really need it right. Okay, so so the section that i use is from behind the ear okay right across to the behind the other side of the ear. Okay, so like a really clean horizontally, clean line, okay and then all you do is, if you make the cleaner, it is the cleaner. You put the extension in the easier it is to put in and take out, so it doesn't pull at your hair, sure sure and it'll lay more flat and just be like it'll look, the most seamless and like it'll, just move with her hair. Okay. Now, one of the things that i suggest everyone to do when they put in their extension is - and this is for anyone at home, so it makes it really easy. So the first step you want to do after you make your clean line is to just kind of back comb. It a little bit back home a little bit. Tease it right underneath just so. The clip can hook in something to like sink its teeth into, and you want to do this with like a fine-tooth comb like that, a fine-tooth comb or you can even use a brush. Oh just something. That'S just lightly, teases it okay. So it has a little bit of barely teeth, so it's not going to be otherwise the extension i would think, wouldn't sit as flat, but essentially when it sits flat and it also the clip will pull at the hair. It'S two t, so you don't want to tease it too much. Okay, where it starts to pull up the natural hair got it so then all you do is clip it into that teased part. Okay, okay, so it really that teased part really is important, because i can see how well it anchors down and it locks it into that wow. So already she has instant thicker, thicker hair and it looks so natural. It looks gorgeous, and this is another thing i wanted to talk about. It looks part of why it looks so. Beautiful is because this is 100 human, human, hair, real human hair. Now extensions are there so many different types out there, which can be confusing? Okay, there's the human hair, human quality, hair extension that is more natural. Looking it lays against the hair better. It moves with the hair better, the color, you can color the hair, so, for example, if she can't find a color to match her blonde, she can take in her extension and add, highlights to it or low lights too, and do you do the dyeing before you Put it in like you would dye it when it's out of her hair and then you clip it in okay, correct. So then, that way, there's always a color match, whereas if you have a synthetic hair or fake hair, this you can't color the hair right and you can't use a hot iron, a curling iron on it. This is like cousin. It exactly died on the table. This is where quality hair is very, very important right. It just melts, it melts the hair. It comes right out, that's what you don't want to happen and i think everyone's seen that youtube video, where the girl is curling, her trying to demonstrate how to curl her hair and the whole thing just breaks off. That'S essentially, what's going to happen with a synthetic got, it got it so no on the synthetic yes on the human hair and the human hair is a bit more expensive, but the human hair is a little bit more expensive. You can get quality human hair extensions for anywhere from a hundred and fifty dollars to four hundred dollars. Okay, depending on the length and the size of the rose that you're looking for the width of the rose. Yes, but i would think just like everything with that goes with hair, whether you're getting it cut or blown out or whatever it's about the length right, it's all more expensive or if you get more so because carly's hair is long, we didn't need to put a Lot in right, so her cost for the extensions wouldn't be as expensive right if she needed to fill more in like if you wanted your hair down to your elbow right, you would use all seven clips, so that would be a little bit more costly, okay, okay, But worth it it's so pretty and, like i said, with human hair, you can curl it, which is what we did here. You can flat iron it. You can color it right, so you can put chemical in on it with a synthetic version. You can't do any of those things. This is pretty much it. This is pretty much it you can set it the only advantage to synthetic if you set it. The hold lasts longer, set it like with a non no white rollers or something hot, a hot roller. Okay, but with the velcro on it - and it has to be almost oh - i see so there is some heat like radiating from the tool, but it's not that direct heat like an iron correct. Otherwise it will melt it okay, but synthetic extensions. Only last anywhere from one to three months: okay, and can these get washed? No? No? Okay! So these can't wash it you can't wet it um! I wouldn't go in the rain with it. If you were going to a party or a wedding or an event, it sounds a little prohibitive. I think i would shell out for the real hair and the real hair you can treat it as if it's your hair right, shampoo, conditioner, very, very important um how you maintain the hair. So if you maintain it it'll last longer for you, i think what you're saying, though, the most important thing that i'm noticing, besides the last the you know, the quality in general is the movement. This has like no movement right, it's like a horse tail or something. This really moves, so naturally this will move with the hair. Even if someone would put her hair their hand over her head, you can't really feel it or detect it. Okay, again, though, the maintenance in human hair is very, very, very important. Okay, shampoo, conditioner anything! That'S moisturizing, sulfate, free, okay, then what you would do is you would towel dry it just pat it. So this is out of the head. This is out of the head. Okay, you don't want to sleep with extensions in the head and you don't want to clip on one correct. Okay, so if we have clip-on ones, take them out every night, take them out every night and then, if you're, going to wear them every day, most people wear them once a week, depending on where they're going or what they're doing okay. But you can wear them. Every day, okay, maintenance is huge. You would only maintain it maybe once a month, if you're wearing it every day, once every three to four months, if you're wearing it twice a week, oh wow, okay, shampoo conditioner, is extremely important, just like washing it in the sink. Like yes, washing it but make sure the water is running down, so you don't want to scrub it too much. This way right, you just want to squeeze on it: okay, the shampoo and the conditioner. Okay, once you rinse the conditioner out, then you lay it down on a towel. You wrap the towel around it and you just pat it take out the excess water. You don't want to ring it or squeeze it sure. Okay, so don't put too much stress or anything on it and then does it make sense to put like a leave-in conditioner or an oil in it when it's still out of the head or you want to style it like your own hair. Oh everything out of the head everything out of the head when it's still wet when you're, maintaining it okay, so after you pat it dry and it's just slightly damp, then you'll put a leave-in conditioner okay to brush through it. Okay, then, after you brush through you just let it dry overnight and when you say brush through it, just any regular brush or is there some sort of special? This is the best brush for any type of extension. It'S a great length brush. It'S called great length. Yeah, okay, they are, they make their own extension. It'S an extension brand okay, but i've tried so many other brushes out there. I'Ve tried the loop extension brushes. I'Ve tried um ones that are similar to this brush. Nothing compares to this. Why do you think it works? So well, because the bristles are so different, i think the bristles and that it also has the plastic, even though i've tried other ones like this. It'S how it's made. Okay, so the plastic separates the hair, the board bristles softens, okay, that makes sense and it doesn't pull anything out of the wet of that. What is this called? This is called the cliff yeah, the web. Okay, the clip part, so you always want to hold down on that part when you're brushing it out. Okay, okay, i have this fear. I don't know it was like a britney spears watching britney spears. His extensions go in and out of her head like when she was had all those crazy extensions um. My fear is, you know, the idea of a clip-on sounds so cool because it's like minimal commitment, it's the sort of less least expensive way to try out extensions. It'S a good first step but like what, if i'm out to dinner whatever i mean, what are the chances of that coming out the clip-ins extensions? If you slightly comb it and tease it first, it shouldn't come out: okay, even if you're dancing all night as long as it has a soft cushion of teasing okay behind it. Now there are other routes you can do if you don't want to use a clip-in extension. Okay and i have carly to show you that's great yeah because there's different ways to anchor it into the head right and we go from clip in which is like the the least amount of commitment, it's the most temporary type of extension out there, and then, if I was coming to your salon and i said i want clip in um. That'S the least amount of money. As far as the process is concerned, it takes 10 minutes to clip them in. All we have to do is make sure we color match your hair and the length that you want and do you sell extensions at your site? Yes, we do okay, great and then so the next, the next step. The most involved is a tape in extension, or a skin. Weft is what some people want, so they're, smaller wefts, okay, that just tape into the hair. Again we have to color blend to make sure it blends in with their hair. They lie flat, just like a clip-in does, but if you feel the two, this is even flatter. Oh because there's no combs right yeah, so is it literally just sticky on the back and it sticks to the it's a double tape. So it sticks to a section of the hair. So what this does is it's great for the same thing, if you want more hair more volume, a little bit more of a commitment than the temporary type of extension and then, but the only thing with the skin wefts is that you can't really wear it back. As much because they don't move, they don't move with the hair as much, but because it's a natural, 100 human hair, it still mimics the way the hair falls right, of course, and you have that flatter anchor point. So how long would those last in the hair? These skin wefts or tape extensions last normally about two to three months: oh wow, if they're maintained properly, and how would you since they don't come out of the hair? What'S the maintenance on that? How is that different? The maintenance is very similar to how you would maintain your clip-in extensions, but in your head in your head, so you would brush it holding down the top part of the weft, so you're not pulling too much so you're, not pulling everything you have to hold where The attachment is right near the scalp right and what you want to do with all extensions, including the temporary ones, is you want to start brushing from the bottom from the ends first to get out any tangles and then move up to the roots. So if you start here, it'll get stuck and then you're pulling at the hair right, so the hair grows with the tape. Yes, extension, the hair grows with the tape extension and it's like the next step. What the next one you can do is this is called micro links or beads. They'Re met little metal beads that attach these are strand by strand extensions wow. So these lay a little bit more natural because they follow the strand they mimic more, like a follicle rather than a row. So these are the same way. You would maintain them. You would hold the root from the root and make sure that just so, you could see that what it looks like to make sure you're not brushing right at the root area. Okay and how are those so those don't come in a track like this? No, they all come in individual bundles with that little metal part at the end, the metal part all of it is separate, but yes, that's how you would put them in okay to make sure it locks. This type of extension is actually best for thicker, hair, coarser, hair um hair. That has a lot more density, okay and darker hair. Okay, i generally wouldn't suggest it for blondes. Why not? Because the metal, when you wash it too much and it gets too wet it rusts, so your blonde hair can look a little green. Oh we don't. We don't want that so, and i can see why it's better for thicker hair, because it kind of you probably don't need as much hair with the thick hair. So you can kind of just like fill out the portions you want to fill up. You don't need as much, but also the metal holds better with a thick hair. It'S a little too heavy. If your hair is too fine. Oh, i see i see, i see it pulls too much so how long this is the most commitment right out of the three different. Well, there's one more level: oh there's, four levels, okay, so this is next to last one. This is probably the most commitment but the most natural looking and if you can't detect it, it's a great thing, so i'm gon na try, and so how long are these gon na last? This should last anywhere from three to four months. Okay, so this is very temporary. This is one to three months, the skin wefts. This is anywhere from two to three okay. This is anywhere from three to four, oh, our last one. What is that called? These are fusion. This is a hot fusion here and a cold fusion here, so they're bonded hot fusion is using heat. Okay and cold fusion is using an ultrasonic machine. If you don't want heat near the scalp, is it literally bonding the hair to your natural hair? So again it mimics the hair. The sections are even smaller right than the individual micro lengths right. So that way, it just moves, and you can't what this what's great about. The individual extensions is if she were to pull her hair back in a ponytail. You wouldn't be able to tell right - and with the i'm sorry what was the fourth one. This one is the skin weft or the tape the tape extensions, it's harder to pull it back because of how it's exactly because of the thicker wefts. Okay. So for the very fine individual ones, you don't even see an anchor at all the most natural looking more permanent base. Extension are the individuals, but it's the most labor intensive it'll. Take you four to six hours, wow a long time right. These take charlie's like i've, been there these take about two hours. Okay, this is 10 to 15 minutes right, so the price is going to increase with the the more labor intensive process. So what would we say? The price is on the the final um. The final extension starts at 2500.: oh wow whoa. It can go a lot higher than that, but they, you usually start around 2 500. wow, and are you generally seeing in the salon? More and more women come in for extensions like compared to maybe like five years ago, all the time, but it's also a hidden secret. Like people don't want to say, i wear extensions right, but the irony of that is, if you're younger, they actually want to show that they have extensions, because it's very costly. It means i like a status thing. Huh and it's more luxurious to see they've got their tracks just hanging out. Oh britney spears of okay, but you didn't want it to look like don't let your extension show. I don't think it's a good look, go with the natural way, um! Okay! So when we say they last, you know some last this long, some last six months or whatever do you mean last, like they'll fall out, or that means you have to that's time to come, see you and get them tightened, or you know like they're growing out Too much and it just doesn't look as good, or are they literally like falling out by that the more permanent ones are they need to be tightened? Okay, these are reusable the wefts okay, so they have to be re-tightened or reapplied applied. Okay, um, the individual ones. They cannot be reused, so you pull them all out, so we take them out gently yeah. We take them out gently and then we just put a new set in. How do you take them out gently? Do they slide off? They can okay, okay, certain tools, one of them you'll, need a certain type of plier to take it out and the other one. You just need a bond remover, okay and it just slides out beauty hurts right. That'S okay! It can be painful sometimes, but it's so worth it. You look so gorgeous so that last the 2500 set of extensions. That last, how long you said anywhere from three to four months. It could last a little bit longer, but if your hair grows fast right, then it's not gon na last and those ones can't be reused as well. Okay, so then i would need to go and buy all new. We would get a new set for you. Yes, okay and that's more costly than buying just this hair right, but this one comes out at night right, so it's less maintenance on a daily basis, correct. It looks more natural. It'S just less visits to the salon. It'S less visit! It'S easy to apply yourself! You don't have to do it professionally right. What'S not so great about, it is, if you always want to keep it in, you can't go swimming with it. Okay, when you're on vacation right, but with a more permanent route, you can treat it like. It'S your hair. I would think for the third and fourth level there of extensions. That'S a good thing for, as we are in wedding season, it's a good option for brides great option for rides, but so are clip-ins depending on the kind of updo. You want the same thing with carla. You don't have to commit to a full set and still put your hair up sure. So you can go either out okay, so you can clip this in and do an updo still yes, huh interesting, because i know a lot of women grow their hair out for their wedding. They want as much hair as possible, whether they're going to wear it down or put it up. They just want more fullness but, like i would think also i have so many friends who want their hair. Looking, you know the best. That'S ever looked through their honeymoon for engagement parties, so they want like a two-month span of really gorgeous, especially on their honeymoon right and so, whenever they're going to go swimming or whatever you want to maybe go the more permanent route. You want that commitment, yeah, but it's. When else are you going to splurge, except for your your big day? Well, you can splurge anytime, you want. You should take care of yourself thanks so much for joining us today and telling us all about extensions. I'Ve learned so much from the application to the maintenance and it's a lot less daunting a process than i thought. Thank you for having us and tomorrow you might see me with ankle length. Hair longer locks thanks a lot. What'S in your makeup, bag. Mine is long overdue for a cleanup, and this should do the trick here is reba in makeup: shakeup, hey guys, it's reba for inside beautiful. I am here at the original farmer's market, in los angeles - and i am here today with celebrity makeup artist, desiree sherman hi. We are doing a makeup shake-up, okay. This is tashana and she's going to show us what she's packing right now yeah what you have going on in that cutout. I have a couple things. Oh wow. I know i know it doesn't end. Let'S see wow some gold, some shimmer finishing powder, okay - is that like a mary, poppins bag like where else i don't know a little bronzer? Oh my gosh wow. Well, this is the nars orgasm, the ultimate glass. Yes, this is. This is definitely a lot of products to carry around in a uh little purse. Um i mean i, but it's all good. I do recommend the eyelash curling is awesome because it's such a quick way to like lift your eyes and open them halfway through the day. Um now, as far as all of this goes, you can kind of take this down to basically a bit of a one product uh. You know the powder, we definitely need the powder, for you know exactly right, but when you're out and you have such a small bag like that grab a toilet seat cover, you don't even need this. Take it out of your bag. Okay, grab the toilet seat cover and use it to blot your skin down. Don'T even need the powder yeah, it's so much simpler. I know. Well, it is it's a good trick and then you know to not have to carry around both. You know a blush and a bronzer. You can kind of do a two-in-one product, okay, um, like the stila convertible colors, they're, really great, it's a cream product that you can use on your face. You can use it on your lips. You can use it on your eyes, you can use it everywhere and it's a tiny little compact and then that's all you need so now. Basically all you're carrying is this. You know a one little compact and then i mean well it's shades for everything. Yeah. You can't just work with one shade all day you can't just no. We do i'm gon na leave this one alone. Okay, because i love a lot of different lip stuff too, and these are beautiful, colors. So we'll leave this one alone. You can put those back in we're taking all of this out. Okay, we're gon na. Get you some new things. Thank you so much zara. Do you have any questions? Do you? Is there anything you're ever wondering about like a must-have for your bag yeah? What would you recommend for a really good, waterproof, mascara, waterproof mascara? Yes, that is a big one. I am actually in love with. Tarte makes a lot of tarts. That'S my favorite mascara right. Now, yes - and i know it kind of sounds silly, but tart is actually one of the only um lifeguard associated approved waterproof products, wow um yeah, i know, sounds silly. You didn't know that. Why would they even be, but they do and they do they have a mascara called uh camera light, splashes. Okay, so great, it gives you lots of volume, it doesn't get clumpy, but it will not come off yeah, so you can take it off with some little soap or some oily type. I love it. I love the ocean, so i want to be able to get in the ocean and not have to worry about myself really. Well, then you know what you should have in there too, with some sunscreen yeah, if you're out in the ocean a lot. Oh he's got to have sunscreen perfect. I bet you never burn, but i know yeah well i'll, be glad we did it when we're old yeah exactly we got to keep that skin from aging. Thank you yeah. Thank you so much for your time. Okay. So when you get into pageants, it really is a sisterhood and i'm lucky to have with me today the very beautiful maybelline capilou, who is actually the miss california but maybelline first off, i'm so excited to have you here. Thank you for having me, and you know, as you can see, she's a stunning girl, but you have you have a secret that you have been dealing with for a long time that i think, could empower so many of our girls at home. So tell me a little bit about that. So at the age of 16 i started breaking out with all these rashes all over my skin, and i remember i dyed my hair jet black and i remember my scalp started flaking and they said it was because of the hair dye because it was too harsh. So i was like okay, that's cool, it never really went away, and then i started getting all these rashes all over my skin and i went to the doctors to the dermatologist and they were like. Oh, it's some like fungus infection that you have and i was like. Well, that's gross, so i took these ointments to get rid of it and it never went away and it wasn't until i went to another dermatologist that told me i had psoriasis, which is a autoimmune disease that comes out on your skin and i guess it's genetics. So when i went to argentina that winter and it's summer in argentina, so it was winter here in the u.s, my aunt from argentina. She has - and she was telling me all this stuff about it, how she takes care of it and what she does and she was basically giving me a lot of advice and because i was in argentina out in the sun every day at the beach with my Family and really enjoying myself, that's how i ultimately cured my psoriasis, oh wow, now one of the things that i love about you. I always say that when you are given a crown, you are really given a microphone like literally gon na put this on for a bit. No, but one of the things i think is amazing, is you went on you've overcame this and obviously you had to get past from some self-confidence issues. But now you are miss california, crazy amazing, but with that you have signed on as a national spokesperson, yeah um right after i was crowned. I did all these interviews and people are asking me. Oh tell us something that we don't know about you and that's one of the things i talked about. I was like well, i was diagnosed with psoriasis at the age of 16. and i really want to work with the national psoriasis foundation, and it was because of my nbc interview. Right after i was crowned that they reached out to me and asked me to become their spokesperson, that is really cool see. Not only is she a beautiful girl, but she's got a good heart and beautiful, just as beautiful on the inside now. The thing about pageants is: we have a few tricks up our sleeves more right. Tell me: what have you learned from doing the pageant some little tips or tricks to girls out there? Well, for me, the biggest thing was always keeping my schedule on time and everything and just having i have my iphone. So i do everything through my calendars. So that's one of the things i had to learn is how to be on time for everything. As far as beauty secrets um, you see me day to day almost every day, and you see me without any makeup and then i show up she walks around with no makeup on and then she like comes out looking like a victoria's secret model, she's beautiful without The makeup, but like girl, knows how to work it. Oh thank you but yeah. I think that's what i why i have great skin is because i take breaks from my events and everything and when it's day to day things i don't wear any makeup at all. Just moisturizer and that's it and so yeah. Now what about? Okay? I remember for swimsuit competition. You ever watched the pages on tv. You see the girls you're like how do their bikinis not ride up when they are walking in heels, because it's totally normal to wear a swimsuit in heels. There is a thing that we like to call: do you know what i'm talking about glue but glue? We use with glue it's like literally spray adhesive, you put it on. I wouldn't recommend it. It'S not hairspray, no, don't put hairspray. So that's one trick and then uh there's you don't need it totally inappropriate, but they have these little chicken cutlet things. Oh yeah yeah inside when i was a teen. I would do that too, and i remember also one time that right before i was competing for miss teen usa. I heard that if you put a little bit of hemorrhoid cream dab it under your eyes, it like it takes away any wrinkles or any puffiness on your eyes. Beauty queens can be a little crazy guys. Have you heard of the vaseline on the teeth to keep smiling? Do you do that? Have you no i've, never done it. I did it for cheer competitions, but i never really done it when i was on stage because i'm so happy on stage. So why would i you know? I love it. Okay, so just last thing that i'd love to ask you about, do you have any advice? You know you have overcome some self-confidence issues gone on to become a beautiful beauty queen. What girl doesn't want a crown. So what advice would you give to young girls who are at home right now? Well, the advice i would give to young girls and to anyone in general is a quote that my brother actually shared with me. He says: do not pray for an easy life. Pray for the strength to endure a difficult one and that's something that i've always used throughout my journey in competing with pageants or in school, or even dealing with the skin skin illness. So that's something that i've always used to remind myself not to be like. Oh, i wish i didn't have this or i wish it was easier and that's something that i had to kind of overcome and learn that i need to have the strength to overcome this. So then it makes me a better person. So that's something that i would share with girls. Thank you so much maybelline and as you go, i'm just gon na hold on to this go ahead. A little longer i love sparkles. Thank you guys so much, that's all we have for today, but we will see you guys next time right here and be sure to check out our sister site. Fromthelab.Com, we'll see you guys next time bye, you
