How To Install Fusion Extensions Using Micro Bonding

Hair extension expert Kari Fuller demonstrates Babe's new hair extension technique called Micro Bonding. Micro Bonding uses custom-cut Fusion extensions to install hair in smaller sections that are easily hidden above the crown area. This technique is perfect for areas of thinning hair requiring extra length or volume near the front of the face or the top of the head.

Hi everyone, I'm Carrie with babe hair extensions here today to talk to you about a new application using our fusion hair extensions, called micro Bondi. This application allows us the ability to customize these strands into micro sized pieces for application above the crown area of the head. The size of the strands allow them to be completely undetectable in the clients, hair style through installation on a mannequin, as well as a few examples from a recent photo shoot. I'M going to teach you all of the basics of this new application method. Let'S go ahead and get started. I'M going to show you today how to install one of these micro strand, extensions for more information on installation placement, ideas, cutting blending aftercare and removal. Make sure you check out our everything but length portal at babe, thanks comm. So, let's begin by cutting down one of our fusionbond extensions into those micro sized strands. So all we're going to do is take our fusion cutting tool and I'm going to place that inside and cut that bond down to the size that I want it to be to match the clients hair. So I have the opportunity to cut it down into 3 or 4 strands across depending on the density of the clients hair. So you can see I've sectioned off the area that I'm going to work with with one of our velcro hair grippers. That'S just going to keep all of those little flyaways down from the area that I'm working. This is a very precise or precision application. So I want to make sure that section is nice and clean. So I take my section: it's going to match in density to the small micro strand that I'm going to put on it. This is really similar to our fusion extensions as far as the placement goes or the application. The only thing that's different is that I'm going to allow that hair when I'm placing it on top of the head to be elevated just a little bit. I have the option to do that with these small strands, because they're only going to be worn in the hair for a short amount of time so as they grow out, it won't matter if that hair becomes a little more on base. So all you're going to do is take that micro, strand lay it on top of the clients hair. Take that melting, connector and just press it down. Take your finger press it into the clients, hair and then wrap it around, and then we just take that melting connector and just finish that top edge to allow for the best transition from the clients hair into that strand. Then we remove the disc and there's our strand, so there are lots of different ways to place these strands in the clients hair. Depending on the look that they're trying to achieve you could brick lay place them right next to each other place them in the bang. The crown the sides for more information again don't forget to check out our full online education video, the best part about the removal of the micro bonding application. Is that there's no commitment to the client? I want you to think of it like an eyelash fill. These are designed to last in the hair between four and six weeks. The client will naturally shed some of those extensions during just normal, wear and washing during that time period. So when they come back in you're, just going to gently, remove any that are showing just hold on to the clients, hair above the bond and just gently tug that extension free from the hair, if it doesn't come all the way free, you can use our keratin Bond remover and our deluxe tool, and just gently press and pull that out of the hair. It would be considered normal for the client to have lost up to 50 % of the strands that you installed during that four to six week period of time. So don't worry if some of them come out. That'S what they're supposed to do that allows for the best flexibility for the client in their lifestyle. They don't have to worry about coming back into the salon at a certain time. For that maintenance, it's fantastic! The possibilities with micro bonding and this type of an application are endless. We can create so many different custom looks for our clients. We can add small ribbons of color, we can add fullness and thickness and length. We can create thinning, hair solutions for those clients and those really sparse thin areas on their head. We have so many opportunities. I challenge you to think outside of the box for your next hair extension client and don't forget to check out our full-length online education, video on our everythingbut length portal at babe. Thanks comm, I'm Carrie with babe have a wonderful hair day.
