Otherwise, you won't understand what I'm using and why. :)

1) First, wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo. I like Detoxifier by Aveda, but I've also tried Clarify by Redken.

2) DO NOT CONDITION HAIR!

3) DO NOT ADD ANY PRODUCT TO HAIR

4) Blow dry straight until bone dry

TOOLS NEEDED:

1) 2 flat irons. 1 for applying and melting fusion tip to your natural hair and another flat iron for straightening your extensions before applying.

2) As many hair clips as you have for parting and sectioning off hair

3) A Tail comb for sectioning hair

4) A boar bristle hair brush

5) A piece of card stock/ rigid plastic to use as a holder/sectioner for natural hair

6) At least 3 grams of natural hair fusion extensions

I bought mine from www.made-in-china.com, 5 bags (5 grams) for $250

They are 20" real human remy hair in 1B (Darkest brown before black)

Hi everybody, so today I'm going to be walking you through how to install or apply your own fusion extensions. I have been wearing extensions on and off for over over 10 years, I've tried I've tried the wall I have, I've had clip ons and I've had a semi-permanent latex glue, extensions, and these days I wear fusion extensions a lot. I probably wear them for three months on two months off three months on two months off, I've tried almost every brand every kind and after some trial and error, I found certain things that really work for me and my hair type, my hair type, is have naturally Wavy hair, it's also on the finer side, but I have a lot of it right now. It'S fairly short, I have double shoulder length, hair. Normally I wear my hair, but halfway down my back and I usually color it jet-black, I like it to be very shiny. Very very black - and I also like to I usually just wear my hair mid length because it's manageable and when I take out my extensions, it's a very nice length to to work with. Most recently, I had an ombre effect in my hair, so my hair was about just just about to my rib cage and I had a black regrowth. It'S my puppy black regrowth and caramel ombre from about here down down to the ends, and I wore that for a few months through the summer and since then, now that it's winter, I've decided to go dark again and after your coloring, my hair darker and I Realized that my hair was overdue for a cut, so I decided to get a really short cut shorter than I usually have it just to just to really start from scratch and try to maintain a healthy, healthy length and healthy start for my hair. It was really dry from the ombre effect, a lot of bleaching a lot of coloring, so I cut it, it's really healthy. Now I straighten it every day, because my hair is naturally wavy, so the ends tend to be a little bit drier. I use a lot of conditioner to try and keep it healthy. The products that I use almost exclusively are Aveda. My favorite is color, conserve shampoo and conditioner. I also use beautifying composition every now and then just through the ends, it's a nice. It'S a nice little treatment it you can use it on your skin on your hair, your hands. It also works, also works very similar to Miracle manicure. If you have really dry cuticles just rub them on and they look brand new, okay, so um. So we'll start off with the prep and the tools that you need for applying your own extensions. First off, you need to clarify your hair so using a clarifying shampoo to get rid of residue to get rid of old product in your hair to get rid of any oils that may keep your extensions from setting properly. A good clarifying shampoo to use is clarifying shampoo by Redken or there's also a nice clarifying shampoo by Abeyta, which I like to use. It'S a nice natural product. It'S certified organic and it's really it's really nice getting a sense of it doesn't strip too much, and it also smells really great and also because I just really like the Abeyta products. So I use it a lot. So yes, so you clarify your hair, make sure you're not using any conditioner in your hair. No product will dry it straight and also make sure that your hair is actually dry. You'Ll notice, you'll notice, because your hair will feel warm um after you dry your hair and you let it sit for a couple of minutes. You'Ll feel you'll notice that your hair, if your hair, is cold at the root root area, it means it's still wet. So you got a dry, it dry a dry dry. Otherwise, when you attach your extensions, they will be they'll always be wet inside the bond and you don't want that so make sure your hair is dry dry dry. So the things I have with me, our hair clips to part and to keep air out of the way, so I usually use a collection of them whole bunch. Lots also I'd like to use a tail comb for parting hair gives you a nice straight part. So when you are sectioning hair off to apply the extensions gives you a nice clean line. This I feel like a dollar these clips. I got from the beauty, supply store, lots, they're, always handy to have at all times, you'll need at least three of them. I have two flat irons. I don't use. I do not use a fusion tool um. I don't think it's necessary and plus they're just expensive for nothing um. I bought a cheap flat iron from winners. You can find you can find really really inexpensive flat irons in the section in the hair section there usually between twenty thirty forty dollars, and I just got a really cheap one that I use. I use a cheap one because you're melting, the fusion blue, so you need just a cheap flat iron that you're not afraid of ruining you're, not necessarily gon na ruin it because I actually clean them very often. But you want one that's for the fusion and then a month, it's for your hair, so this one I have that I use often it's really grungy. That'S because my hair is colored and sometimes the color comes out the iron up clean it. But today I would so you have two flat irons. I also have this piece of cardboard that I've cut into a circle and I've cut a slit in the middle and then towards the middle there's a little hole. This is for sectioning off sectioning off your hair and also giving some separation to add your extension. So you see how I I've done that there, the slit is too easily section off and the hole is to hold your hair. So it's it's very, very handy. You can just use any piece of cardboard. I just like got this off of actually the paper that comes with my fusions. So after I open the package, I just use the cardboard that comes with it, it's very simple, so that clips you need a brush. I like to use these really really handy brushes. These brushes are imperative for wearing extensions. You don't want anything with any knobs or loops or ends on the hairbrush. When you brush your hair, it's not going to pull and it glides through your hair very easily. It'S also great for keeping your hair clean, pulling the natural oils from the root to the end and today are really healthy. So that's a good one and then, of course, the extensions these I'm actually going to talk a little bit about they are. They are v tip extensions, you'll notice, when you go shop for for your extensions, they'll, be all different types. There'S eye tips, there's view tips, there's V tips. My favorites are the V tips because they have a fold. If you actually look there you'll notice that they're in the shape of a V. This is really handy because when you take your flatter and it actually flattens onto your hair and it, it covers the whole surface area of the part of the section that you're that you're applying the extension to, and I find that um the glue or the keratin Tips that are being used on these V tips maintain maintain their integrity a lot a lot better than most wearing extensions. I'Ve found that I have normally oil-rich hair, so I so the hair gets oily very quickly and a lot of the time. The extensions will slip out within a few days over a few weeks, mostly because they are dissolving the keratin tip really quickly and with these they stay in really nicely for a really long time. The glue does not dissolve as quickly which does not, which in turn does not reveal the ends of the extension which could get really itchy. So these lasts a really long time. I'Ve I've worn extensions for about three months. I could go actually go longer, but because my hair grows really quickly, um the the regrowth tends to be about that and and then they start showing in between your hair. So you want to be able to remove them and then redo them as soon as that starts happening. So that's why I choose these. I bought I bought these sets of extensions from a supplier on a Chinese website. I'Ll actually put the link in the bottom later. On I got five packages: each package is almost a gram, each of hair, which is a ton, so you get about 100 pieces 100 pieces per bag and the minimum quantity is five five bags for about $ 250, which is amazing because they're, usually about $ 120 Per bag - and these are - these - are 20 inches. I get a nice long length so that I am able to trim them down to the proper length that I like also so that so that I can trim them to the proper. I guess shape some people, like straight blunt, cross some people like the v-shape, I like a natural, a natural hang, so I trim them in the end. So I like to have that extra length for that I so in to the next video I'll show you how I start thanks.

Trung Vu: Hi, thank you for this video :) what heat setting should my straightening iron be set at for the bonds ?

gallifreyi: i'm begginer with hair extensions so this helped me so much, thank you!

Selena Garcia: How long did it take to get the extensions? (:

Solo Souli: Yeah I felt that way at first too! lol. But I went through each seller that I was interested in, checked out their ratings and whether they had good reviews. Lucky enough, I haven't been ripped off yet! If you're uncomfortable, I'd suggest finding a reputable retailer in your city. Price is higher, of course, but you maintain peace of mind. ;)

Solo Souli: My hair grows ridiculously fast so after 3 months the bonds grow out and I can see them through the layers in my hair. I have to remove them and move them up closer to my scalp. :)

Cori Jeffords: Once the extentions are in, can you shampoo, condition, straighten, curl or whatever as normal?

Brooke Gorman: Where's the website you get yours from?

Selena Garcia: Haha yeah I noticed how cheap they were and I really wanted to haha, thanks for the info I think I will be buying from this site (: just needed to check twice lol

Solo Souli: No worries! I think I'm going to do another vid on how to put in clip in extensions for pixie short hair. "How to imitate the side shave on short hair with Extensions" then follow up with fusions on really short hair. My hair is REALLY short right now!

Melissa T: You never did post the website you use to purchase the extensions.. Could you please post and also, how long does it take you to apply yourself?

Solo Souli: I have tape extensions in right now, but I'll work on it soon! :)

soulilala: OMG! LOL I've been so busy. I didn't get a chance to edit the video until now. Uploading it in 15mins!! Thanks Ashley!!

Solo Souli: It took 1 week to receive my orders. You can pay for express shipping but its ridiculously expensive from China.

Julie Scott: Actually you can buy a good fusion tool for 12-25

Chef de Prestige LLC: AlhumdulliALLAH already naturally beautiful. Don't need extensions. You have nice deep eyes and perfect shape head and cheek bones.

Laila Santos Lima: very helpfull, thanks..

soulilala: Hi! Don't worry. The extensions will not fall out! If you were to install the semi-permanent (the gummy glue) those would fall out with sweat. :) You can always try a few pieces like highlights to see if you like them! :)

Solo Souli: It's a little confusing, yes. Otherwise, just google a retailer. There are many that sell great extensions. I just posted where I got mine because people asked, but you don't have to buy there. :)

Elika's Sketchbook: but I thought u could wear those for 6 months, right? I mean it seems like ur taking really good care of ur hair, so why do u only wear it for 2 or 3 months? thanks
