Pretipping Hair Extensions

This is just a quick 'how to' for those interested in tipping hair extension strands. I have used a Loof Fusion Wand, keratin pellets/chips and a silicone pad.

Okay, all right, I've put the keratin chip on the flat part of the wand, and here I have my portion of hair that I cut off the left and I sort of fan it out a little bit not too much but a little bit. And then I lay the hair on the pool of keratin. Sometimes the chip is all melted. Sometimes it's not it's not a big deal and then at that point I will close the wand. I don't close it all the way just most of the way, and you can see that the keratin is bubbling out of the side and I just sort of do this a few times just to make sure that I've got a good saturation throughout all the hair. Let'S move that out of the way now I come in with my little silicon pad, give it a roll and a lot and then you can there's always a little bit at the end there, and your ends are always a little different, so you can just cut I'Ve also in the past, gone through and just made sure that I occasionally I'll cut one in half to make sure that I've got my glue going all the way through the bond. So that's that fairly easy. We can do it again, I'll cut that one off and now I've got enough keratin on there already from doing a few techniques. So again, there's my hair band it out a little bit, not too much lay it on the flat part of the wand, closing the wand most of the way, but not all the way, and then doing this in a few different directions. Just to ensure good saturation. Taking my silicon pad, give it a twirl and there's your finished tip. Also a good tip be really careful with the wand, because if you have a laminate countertop like I do, he'll burn holes in it. So just be careful.

BlankParty: You're so right. I re-tipped mine the way you showed in the video with keratin and they are beautiful! The few I put in with latex I had to cut out!!

Jéssica Wilhelm: Obrigada!!! irei fazer exatamente assim ^^

HairMadeSimple: Thanks for this video. You were the inspiration for my video's.... I have learned to make and install my own hair extensions and have saved thousands of dollars..You rock

GingerSnaps473: so glad I saw this video, This si right around my budget to do and very easy. Thank you

vsounthavong: I'd like to know where you would recommend I go to purchase the fusion wand, and hair online? I have purchased TWO wand online at ebay and neither of them work at all, and were really cheap to begin with. Also the keratin glue (I got two kinds, beads and sticks that you can use in a glue gun) was awful, and I buy hair at a local store but was wondering if I could buy it for a better price online... thanks!

Diva Like: Thanks for sharing your video really helped me to learn how to make my own links.

Bryanna Sandoval: where do you get the keratin chips from?

BlankParty: what other substances can be used? I tried latex but the extensions fall apart. Mine are attached with micro links.

golfski4: Thank you for the video.I am ordering some tips and the iron to rebond my own. I can't afford to have the sylist do it. But tell me, why does the Keritan break down so easily. I have had my extensions in for 2 months and I have lost so much hair. The beads are still in but the hair is falling out. Do you buy already tipped hair to begin with? if yes, where do you get it. I use pureology like I'm suppose too. A stylist told me not to let it air dry, to get it dry ASAP...What do you think?

mahinakeola: where do you get the silicone pad?

crzysourcandee: @banuselvi You can use a flat iron, as long as the iron can get hotter than 425 degrees. Though wands are built to get very hot to form a bond, where as a flat iron is only meant to heat to straighten. Flat irons that go over I believe 400 degrees can damage your hair more and much quicker. (My roommate is a hair stylist)

Zorbathepitbull: can you use a flat iron instead of the wand?

Emma Flanders: i find that after i re tip them like this i just tip it a second time and they are perfect for doing fusion extensions.

AlwaysAugust: where did you buy all the stuff for this? is there like a good website?

childnme: I'm repeating someone else's question... where do you buy your keratin tips???

Loreal O: you can buy one on ebay for 35 plus like 5.5 for shipping

Alex Ruffin: thank you .. a lot of help

Raliff Ismail: where to buy the keratin glue?

val91290: OMFG I LOVE YOU!!!!!!! i was soooo begging my mom to take me to but the already tipped ones which are like what 80 bucks? idk lol but yeah i saw this and i just peed myself with happiness[wow i sound like a lame ass lol] anyway gracias :D

Ann Louise: Hey thanks so much!!!

mango0kiwi: hi this may sound like a dumb question but can you show me how to apply keratin glue using a glue gun to the hair extension so i can apply it to my fusion hair extension???

AcidHatchet: Great Tut!!!! how much for the Loof Fusion Wand?? do you think i HAVE TO use this particular iron?? what is keratin beads?? how much for some?? im very intertested to know, Thanx a bunch. maybe, ill teach you how-to make weft extensions (cheap)!!!! oh yeah, when you say "silicon pads," you mean something similar to childrens crafting foam??

Rose Gange: Not sure if anyones asked but where do you buy your keratin beads?

Emma Flanders: DO NOT APPLY EXTENSIONS WITH A GLUE GUN. really does tht even sound safe? u bond it on to a small section of hair near the scalp using the wand seen in the video

um no: u can do that with a flatiron but put tin foil on it. dont buy a heat wond their like $75

TiiNkErBeLlSEVENTeeN: Can u un-tip it i got a bundle n i want to seperate them can i do so if so how?

THEREALBARBIE89: YOU CAN GET EVERYTHING FROM EBAY LADIES!

Nicola Ritchie: V helpfull

gilliander: you can get finger tips on ebay real cheap

golfski4: ok well thank you so much

Elverth Carl Jhoe Cortez: Thanks It really helps..! Sometimes i try to use glue gun glue sticks to make a strand extensions! But It is bad! Thanks for help.. Who is watchung DORA THE EXPLORER IN THAT Video? Hehehehehe Nice video!

[email protected]: your cheapest bet is ebay...just look for hair extension wand, keratin beads and hair weft...i hope that helps....gl

Jéssica Wilhelm: easy

Abena Osei: Anyone watching this in 2020?

miaangel247: ohh many places on the net, just put it in on Yahoo

Caroline Queen: My hair started thinning when I was 18 and I have always had a very dry scalp. I bought ARGANRain from w...arganrainproducts..com along with some minoxidil to try and stop my hair from thinning. Both my wife and me have noticed that my hair does seem a little bit thicker but I dont see it growing like crazy.
