Alright, guys hey welcome back to my second YouTube video I was originally gon na do a different topic, but a lot of people have been asking me questions about my extensions, and so I thought I would do a quick little tutorial on how I manage them. Why? I got them and so on and so forth, so I'm actually going to be washing them today, which I do try not to do myself. I I do do it a few times a month, maybe like twice a month, I wash it myself. Otherwise, I do try to book a blowout, a local salon, um just to help keep my extensions healthy. They know how to manage hair a lot better, especially if it comes to like drawing and blow-drying and not like completely ruining your hair. I will say tips for getting a blowout. Most people think that they can't afford to do it and that it's something like really bougie or anything like that. But if you find a salon, especially that has junior stylist, you can pay it here from like 15 to 25 dollars for upload. So if you are somebody who has spent thousands of dollars on your extensions, but maybe thousands for these ones specifically, but like at least a grand and especially if you'd like got them numerous times, then plus you're like constantly putting them in and out of your hair. Because you're having to move them out or change them, so you are putting a significant amount of money into your extensions and you want them to be able to last as long as possible. So just investing in something like that, especially if you're only going like once a week. I am the dry shampoo Queen, so I can leave my hair watching till about once a week, but I'm going to do it today on my own wine, because my hair is greasy and I do have a webinar and two because I wanted to film this video. Alright, so first things: first, when I'm sleeping just you know, I always like to use a scrunchie, and I will just like you know: braid it I'm not gon na braid. It now put it in here, really nice and loose okay. You want to make sure that, when you're sleeping with your extensions that you're not just keeping your hair down for it to get matted, no, I do have wet beaded, weft extensions. So I'll show you what they look like right here. You will barely be able to see so I just got them done. Maybe like a week ago, I got the move job, so you can see here it's right here. There we go okay and they're rooted at the top, so you can barely even see them, which I freaking love and I'll be sure to tag where I get them done below, especially if you're in the Toronto area. So I love them because I don't get nervous about it's like the wind blows, my hair, I also teach dance. So if I'm doing a lot of head with ping, then you're not going to see the extension. So before I have a shower, you want to make sure that you do brush out your extensions. You want to go in there with, like the least amount of knots possible. Now in terms of shampoo, you can't just use like any shampoo. You want to make sure, because you want to keep these hydrated as possible. You want to reduce, like I'm getting super frizzy and all that, so I've tried a bunch of shampoos for it. These are belonging extensions. I actually did try the Bellamy, shampoo and conditioner, and it wasn't super awesome for me it's what they do use at my salon, and maybe they just are like way better at styling, but for me at home I find that when I use the blow me, it Still gets really dry when my extensions get dry, they get really matted here at the back, which I absolutely hate. So I'm the only shampoo really that water came everywhere. Um that I have been working for my extensions really well is the Monat line, and I use these smoothing shampoo and the smoothing deep conditioner, so these two have definitely been a lifesaver for my extensions, especially with me doing them at home. Like I said sorry, I spelled my call but, like I said at the salon, I feel like because they're professionals and they didn't really kind of know what they're doing they they don't necessarily have to use, as they do a better job but at home. For me, this is hands-down the best way, so I'm we'll hop in the shower right now. I'M not gon na film that but I'll hop in the shower and then come back out and quickly give you a few more tips, see you in a few all right. I'M back washed. My hair also popped a pimple which was probably not smart to to when I was doing this so um. Another thing quickly that I wanted to mention when you're in the shower, because I have beaded wet sand, it's a few different tracks. So there's three tracks in there, so they go straight across. You want to make sure that when you're washing your hair you're, not just like doing this and going everywhere, you do kind of have to separate each layer up and then wash in between them. Just to make sure that you're also getting like your own scalp and all that fun stuff. So the things that I absolutely love about these extensions is, I find that they are fairly easy to work with. They lay down really really flat and you absolutely cannot see them and I'll show you different things like throughout the rest of this video, but I I really love them. I say the only con with them is that you can't put your hair up, so you can put it like low down here, because of the way that the tracks lay. You can't pull your hair up into a high pony or you may be able to do that more. If you have tape ins, I had the worst experience of tape ends. I hated them. I hate bonded, so these are definitely the best option for me and as being someone who's really busy as well and doesn't have a lot of time to spend in the salon every six to eight weeks. It takes literally no time at all to like unseal them and then pull them back up in your hair. So I really love them alright. So when you are out of the shower, you want to make sure that you are using a wet brush when you were starting to brush out your extensions. It'S just way easier on the hair you're not going to get as much pull now the other product that I definitely like you must must need especially good Balam extensions. Is this extensions Perfector? It'S like length goals, okay and it's a spray detangling spray. So I just use it. I don't feel a little sprays, it smells so freakin good. That'S it really and then you're just going to take this brush and brush it out. Now you don't want to get into blow-drying your extensions right away. I mean you, definitely cut it, but it's going to take you a long time because they do take a while even like blast times at the salon. They had two girls blow-drying, my extensions, and so when, even when I go to like the sauna, I only have one girl working on my hair. It usually will take like an hour and a half to do my hair start to finish from wash blow dry and then just like adding a wave or a curl. So, if you're at home - and you have some toilets where, like I definitely suggest doing this one - you know you can be home for a little bit. Let it air dry a bit, but the trick. Is you don't want to? Let it fully air dry? I find out when I let it completely air dry. It gets really knotted and frizzy and like dry, and then I find it extremely hard to work with to style. It'S not smooth it's kind of like all over the place and then that's where I really start to get a lot of nodding in my hair. So now that I finished brushing it, what I'll do is, I will wait about I'd, say an hour, so I'll go and have breakfast right now I'll like do something else, and that way like do a face mask actually just did one in the shower, because when You'Re putting in your conditioner, you want to make sure that you're letting it sit for a little bit, and I just did this berry refine scrub from money. It smells so freakin good and I just want you preface with I do not sell money. This is just a genuine review and I've tried a lot of shampoo and honestly. That is the only one that allows me to get out of the shower and brush through my hair and have it feel really smooth. So that's definitely my favorite, so I'm gon na wait about an hour now and then I'll come back and show you what I do. I'M just gon na leave it. I don't braid it. I just kind of leave it down. Let it dry pretty much. Almost all the way through then we're going to come back and finish drying it. Otherwise it will be a nightmare. A nightmare, see in a few you all right now, my hair, his dry. I did cut out some of that time-lapse because we would have been here for a while, even with it so it does takes it honestly does take some time, so I am going to just like pause this real, quick and I'm going to style my hair tips With, like extension, styling, is you don't you want to make sure that, if you're, using like a straightener, for example, to curl your hair or straighten it that it's something that has the temperature gauge on it, so that you can like adjust the temperature you want to Make sure that you're not putting too high of a heat on your extensions? You really want to make sure that you are protecting them. You can see here like they look a little dry, but once we put a flat iron to it, it's really gon na smooth. It out and I'll show you at the end what I do, I'm just like: styling, regular hair. I still part it, but I parted now with my tracks in mind, so I party to those and then I will style it as is, and I will be back alright guys tada. So I did a quick little curl with my straightener. One thing to keep in mind is that when you're curling, your hair straightening your hair, it does not take a lot of heat on your extensions, so something that you may hold blow over on your hair. You don't need to as long as you're on your extensions plus you want to make sure that you are keeping them nice and healthy, so one of the things they want to make sure to do is always to brush out your curls. I mean they look better in general, but I find that this really house is making sure your hair does not stay knotted. If you do want to put hairspray in, I don't at least not for the first few days, because I don't want it to get gross. I try to really make it last as long as possible, then, if you do still brush it out after any time, somebody does my hair and they spray it. I will leave the salon and all this will all be knotted on the back and it's not until I do a full brush of it. I always carry this brush with me, so I will brush it out in the car. So that is one thing now. I want to quickly finish this off, so one of the things that bug me most about extensions when you have shorter hair, so, as you guys can see, my hair is very short. This is my hair all here, okay, so because it's so short when it's down you can start to see, and especially as it's growing, you can see it more. I feel like once it gets to like around here. Then it won't be so bad, but I do have a great tip if this really frustrates you and irritates you. So all you're gon na do is you're going to part your hair up at the top, so put all of it up and let all of your short pieces stay down so you're gon na pull up from the very bottom track. I'M gon na put this nice and loose because I don't want to ruin my car. So here's where my hair actually is now one thing that I used to just try to do all the time was, and I still kind of do it, but depending if I care how much I care what I'm curling my hair, I just try to like curl It like up and back so it gets lost in there and you don't see it as much. However, I have a even better tip. So what I do is I split my hair in down the middle, I get a little elastic and I put my smaller hair in little pigtails. The reason why I do two and not one is that what I try to do just one at the back: it made it stick out a lot and then you were able to see it on the back. So that's definitely, I know, go ahead and take this other side put that on and then all you are going to do is I couldn't find my bobby pins. So I'm shouldn't use this like clip you're, going to take these two pieces and then you're going to pull them behind and just pin them up. So I probably take two sets of bobby pins. I'M just going to use just this one right now pick that up so now you can see all of my short hair is being pulled up. I can take my scrunchie down. It definitely suggest getting a scrunch. If you don't have one just be way easier on your hair and then you can fix any pieces that you need to well just cut there, and then you won't have any of those short pieces because they're pulled up there at the back. You can't see them at all, cuz they're, tucked under that's why it's important when you put them in those two little pigtails, but you do fold them up at the back and then put a few pins in them. I just did it really quick and then yeah just make sure that nothing else got tucked in there and you're good to go last little thing that you'll want to do is old up likes number seven bonding oil put a little bit in your hand, just a Little bit and then run it through your extensions. This will keep them so nice and soft help them stop. Detangling, run it through the ends and that's it. That is how I wash dry style. My hair, I'm still learning curling guys, but I'm ready, bye, don't forget to subscribe and like this channel, but then make a sense.
