Great Lengths Hair Extensions Before, During, After ~ Cold Fusion ~ Flat Bonds

COME WITH ME TO THE SALON ~ GREAT LENGTHS HAIR EXTENSIONS USING COLD FUSION METHOD, Before, During & After

FYI, I used the 32' barrel of the Titan 3-In-1 Nume Set to curl my hair. I am now an affiliate of NuMe. If you want to use my link, http://bptracks.com/?a=1565&c=120&p=r&...= ti , all tools and sets are 50% off retail using offer code MAYFLING and shipping within the US is FREE. This offer is not valid on accessories or hair care, and expires May 17, 2015.

I had the flat wraps installed, not the round barrels.

I will update as time goes on. I had this done on April 29, 2015 and am uploading it on May 14 so it's been over 2 weeks now and I'm getting better styling it every day.

INSTALLATION TIME: So many variables come into play such as how many strands you are getting, the installation system chosen, how many breaks are needed, if your stylist prepares them smaller than they come, the time to wash, color (if needed) and the cut/style at the end. It could be 2.5 hours, it could be 10. I was there for 8 hours and it was worth every minute to get them perfectly placed, have my hair colored, washed, cut and styled (and film for you, LOL).

PRICE: Again so many variables here as well. The thickness of the hair you choose at your consultation, the length you choose, the region of the world, your stylists time and method of installation all play a role in the cost. Where I am, for the thickest hair possible at the length I requested...it may average around $1800. I have heard higher prices coming from New York and other regions. The range is so dependent on so many factors, you may pay a lot less or a lot more than the price I threw out there.

Great Lengths utilizes 100% human hair of the best quality. This is Indian Temple Remi hair (all hair cuticle facing the same direction) to avoid tangling with your own hair.

The extensions should last anywhere from 3-6 months (depending how fast your hair grows).

The Cold Fusion System was used (the machine you will see in the demo) and there is more information below directly from the Great Lengths website. No heat was used to attach the extensions to my regular hair.

Information from Great Lengths:

HOW ARE THE STRANDS ATTACHED?

Great Lengths patented protein polymer bond ensures a quick and simple application ultrasound system. Bonds are made from synthetic keratin mimicking the molecular structure of natural keratin found in human hair and skin and maintaining a pH value of 5.5 to be compatible with your hair, scalp and skin.

GREAT LENGTHS SUPREME QUALITY OFFERS:

Thick and long hair

Intense and long lasting colors

Quality extensions with healthy hair

Any other questions, please feel free to ask and I will also do an update after a month or two.

Florrie, as you can see in the title, this is about what I did last week. I hinted about this on Instagram and Facebook. If you follow me there, if not go ahead and follow me there anyway, I took a before picture and an after picture now. Obviously, what we're talking about is hair extensions really really wanted to do for a very long time, and I found someone extremely skilled in doing this, and I am letting her take this if she wanted didn't want to keep my hair as safe as possible. So what you're going to be seeing is kind of the steps we took to get here. So I'm going to show you my hair, real quick. This is um. Obviously, it's a week ago that I had the extensions put it there great lengths, extensions and all the information will be down in the down box. So it's been a week. I have been able to wash it and style it a few times now and actually the Styles last forever, the curls when I put curls in it they last forever. I really like it even the next day. It really looks good, and sometimes I don't even have to do anything to it. I tried doing like a letting it dry, naturally, because the hair is actually naturally wavy. So there's a spray that kind of like a organic sea salt type of spray that I use and then scrunched it up kind of looked a little bit at Tonica, teens, 80s type style. I thought I kind of prefer this better, but for you know just out of the water at the beach or something you just scrunch it up and show you how long it is and that's cruel. So it's not curled. It'S probably. You know a little bit longer. Probably down to here - and this is one that I wash it I washed it did I wash it yesterday. I can't remember if I washed it yesterday or the day before, I can't recall, but we're always just wash it like two to three times so the prawns were pretty much still there from last night, so I just kind of had to redo it real quick, my Hair blends, in perfectly she did do a cut. I believe, that's all in the video that you're about to see so go ahead and leave me any comments. Questions that you have you, I cannot see. Nobody has been able to tell everyone. Has the asking me the color is perfect: there are three different colors. I think you see all that in the video, but everybody has been asking me that hasn't seen me in a while, like oh, my god, your hair looks so good you're having so long, and I just go ahead and tell them that it's extensions, but nobody else Would ever know they really wouldn't? So let me see, I don't know if you can see the back, but that's that I did never cut a lot off and obviously volume which gives length and I did get the thickest hair possible. So your price range, if you're asking um, can vary widely, not only for where you are in the country, but who's doing it. You do want to make sure you have someone reputable doing this. Someone that's certified would be great, somewhat certified by great lengths, but I'm sure there's fabulous people out there that can do it. The system that we're using is in the video, so I'm just gon na go ahead and roll tape, but I wanted to see I wanted you to see how it looked like you know a week later when it's styled, you cannot see anything. I mean if I go like that, you may be able to see it, but I don't do that. I can still put my hair up on that side. I can do anything I want. All of this right here is just all still my hair, so it starts worried about there and I can still put my hair up in a ponytail because there's enough space around it, where you can cover every time goes by, then we will see. So I will do an update, but right now I mean washing it drying it really not a big deal same as men stopped being afraid, and you know the first, the first time I washed it. I was afraid now, I'm not afraid anymore and just kind of it's become part of me already, so not uncomfortably be the first day or two. I had a problem sleeping, I would say, definitely the first night. I had a problem sleeping because it almost felt like because it was so close to the scalp, and I was so like. Maybe it was like pulling a little bit or just maybe I wasn't used to it, but I'm having no problem at all. After that it was only maybe one night of being uncomfortable, and then that was it before right. All right tell me what to do spin around yeah your list, it I'm gon na. Do it one more time, I'm gon na back up. Okay, go ahead, one more time. I always show these to everybody before I prepare them, because they come in the Great Lengths package. You can actually see the seal and they say great lengths, okay, and that way, you know that I ordered and I'm putting in your hair what you paid. What a bundle looks like before you prepare it, we can top you cut it in. You, cut those into fours right into half into half staff. Probably her step was coloring, my hair, oh yeah, the roots, the ground, okay, we are getting ready to start and, as you can see over here, all of these are cut in half now and there's 300 pieces different unit. So this is the cold fusion process and we are doing flat bonds and what it defined it. It'S bonded with a keratin polymer keratin that the same protein your hair, is already composed. Out of so, basically, it's like sticking candle wax to candle wax to a candle. It doesn't damage your hair at all and it comes out easily. It lasts three to six months and it moves like your hair. Moves washes like your hair washes pretty much and it is top of the line. It'S just great lengths, great image, your hair. As long as you take care of it, we have cut these bonds into half pieces, so we have twice as many and they're smaller and lighter a little more natural looking and the flat bond and actually diffuses on the bottom, giving you a more spread out and Less extension II appearance - and there is one piece there we go sometimes you'll - want to finish the back section. All the way and sometimes you'll feel the need to move for the front section first to make sure it's evenly distributed or that you have enough volume in front, and so we have done that at this point. So this is the section in front which is a little bit higher than the section in back, and the hairline also begins a little higher, as you can see for the ear is we have finished the front as far as adding extensions in and we have not Done any kind of cut yet, but we are still working on the back and we are about 3/4, the way done with the back, so we're working on the last few rows here I can show me how long it is alright. This is the finished product. I'M gon na have her spin around and toss her hair yeah, not over over yeah, yes, hairspray or wash or get her hair wet for three days. That'S what we have dry shampoo, yeah, okay, so there you have it. I hope you enjoyed this remember any questions that you have leave them down there and I will either get back to you or make a video with the answers to those questions very happy with it. So far - and I did a lot of research before I got this done so as far as method and the kind of hair, I will you jinx to Candice who did my hair. She can use this on her website. She can use this anywhere. She was when you are very, very happy client. I hope you have a great day, I'm so glad to be back me. Tell you how much your comments have meant to me. I did take a while to get don't all answer able to watch a bunch of videos yet, but I'm just happy to kind of be back and you know very slowly get into the swing of things. But your comments and your words I just I don't have the words I mean so so so appreciated and they meant the world to me. I love you all. I really appreciate you and I will talk to you soon - have a great day.

Heather Bennett: OMG Lori, I love your hair, absolutely beautiful. I never would have guessed you had extensions, loving the curl/wave look. Thanks for taking us along to your salon.  Hugs, Heather

LinnyStew: Your hair looks beautiful Lori! LOVE the color and the way you styled it.

Ashley Hayden: YOUR HAIR LOOKS AMAZING! I'm really interested in switching from my current sew in weave to the Great Lengths and am doing my homework - how are they holding up for you? They always look fab when installed but i'm curious about the upkeep. Thanks Lori you are beautiful!

Llphi: You look great!! I've never seen this process but it looks so natural. I could never tell you were wearing extensions. Looking fantastic girl!! xo Lois

Sunshine State: Undetectable! Looks awesome! I have extensions and I wore them for about a month without telling my family and none of them knew I had them in!

A Simpler Life with jjmissmam: Love it! Those are the most realistic extensions I've ever seen. Your looking fabulous Lori! Xo Janice

Gate Called Beautiful: Beautiful -- and they look so natural! Sometimes a simple thing, like a change to your hair makes you feel like a new person! You look fantastic & I LOVE the color too, gorgeous, gorgeous! ~Susanne xoxo

MissGreenEyes: Wow Lori!  It looks amazing.  I so wish I could afford to do this.  I'll just have to keep on waiting for my hair to grow :)  xoxo  So great seeing you again.

Sherry G: The extensions look beautiful in your hair. Very natural! I enjoyed watching the process, thanks for sharing.

NailsbyJols: Looks fabulous! I used to wear the tape ins / yuk never again for now I wear clip ins but always heard the keratin bonds were the way to go!

Amy: It looks absolutely beautiful- and natural. Good for you!

Debie W: Wow Lori, she did a great job.  Your hair looks amazing!  ~ Debie :)

Beauty Geek: I love them!! Makes me want to try them too.  Can you keep us posted on how the hair holds up in a couple of months? I'm wondering if it will get dry or stay soft.  You look beautiful!!

RamblingsnGrace: Beautiful! This was SO interesting! Love it!!! Now I have hair envy lol! I just got about eight inches cut off! xoLisa :)

cherries1952: Lori you look stunning! Your hair looks so thick & rich. I'm amazed at the beautiful hair that was used. I would never know it wasn't all your hair. The technician who did your hair was an artist! Everything was done so neatly & perfectly. I like that the hair was bonded using smaller bundles of hair. I think that's why your hair looks & moves like your own. Does it feel any heavier on your head? I would also be addicted to having that beautiful hair. Your own hair was so pretty also. I was surprised that you had this done. Hope to see you soon gorgeous.

mindi_22: Looks great! I have been getting extensions off and on (more on) for about 9 years. (Thin, fine hair that doesn't grow much past my shoulders) I did Great Lengths for years and my stylist changed me over to Hairdreams last year. I love both of them but find Hairdreams can take my "punishment" better. Over the years I have learned you can be pretty rough on them and they will be fine. I change them out every three months....I just don't like the "grow out gap".

Nichole Chin: Hi Lori, I'm so glad you're back. I missed your great personality. You look amazing! Your hair looks so beautiful and thick. I can't wait to see more videos from you.

The Darling Deb: They look terrific! I have had Great Lengths before, they are great extensions. Hugs, Debbie

Glittering the Sky: Lori, you look amazing, I love the extensions, I am lucky with how much hair I have (I guess, if i don't think in the headaches when i have pony tails :) I love the way that looks your hair with the extensions and amazing how easy they put on and how natural it looks.

Ashley Grisham: Your hair looks great! I've been wanting great lengths extensions for several years. What happens after the 3-6 months if you like them and want to wear them year round? Do they take them out and have to start all over or do they just move them back up closer to your scalp? Just curious if the first appointment is the most expensive and having them maintained will be less or will each appointment be just as expensive every 3-6 mos if you choose to keep them.

Sissi the German: You look beautiful and your hair is like from a Victoria secret model. The lighting is so much better then in your old videos! Happy to have you back Lori! ❤️❤️❤️

73feria: Looks so beautiful and natural!

Marla Robinson: Lori, you have such gorgeous hair. I love those extensions on you!!

J Trueman: HI ! A few questions. How long do you wait to get them changed out ? 3? 4? 6 months?. What was your price and how many pieces do you get put in your hair for great lengths? 60,? 80? 100? 120? Great lengths are great, but just trying to get a good idea on these things as I can't change them every 3 months due to cost factors. Also, for ponytails how far up did they go? Thank you

chprbythedzn: Wow that looks great. I had extensions put in maybe 10 years ago and it was so painful I had my husband cut them out, I mean it was a constant pain. I am sure it is a lot better now days, but no thanks. It sure looks good though. I can see it makes you happy, you have such a great smile. xoxo Patty

Glitzy Fritzy: Lori they look freaking awesome!!!! TFS I hope you have a fantastic weekend xoxoxo Mary

Cynthia Prendergast: Gorgeous hair, gorgeous lady! I love how natural they look. And so glad you are back. Did you decide to get them because your hair was thinning (I remember you went through some major shedding- then started the Pantene system)? Thanks for taping this. I always wondered how they were done.

Tara Tadema: Love it, Lori! You look beautiful! Now I want some :)

MsSam66ok: Oh your hair looks fab!!! Love love love. Enjoy and thank you for sharing. I have fairly curly hair, never thought about extensions for us curlies.  Have a great weekend. Sandra

Marabella: Hope you have luck with it - I was wearing great lengths for two years and my own hair was destroyed completely - I still suffer from the breaks and I did it every time at a great length certified hairdresser - the hair quality is great but your own hair will be horrible over time - even with all the conditioner and mask and all the products - I would never do it again.

Kathy Murphy: Hooray! I know you know how much I have missed you! And here you are looking soooo beautiful! My biggest concern would be how quickly my hair grows... please keep us up to date on how you are dealing with the regrowth. Big hugs my friend!

Laura's Life Dog Training & Dog Vlogs: Hi Lori, very good to see how they do extensions .I was interested in seeing her use straighteners as since I've grown m fringe I had to buy some nano ones. Was scared when I put heat protection on and it steamed. Lookng here I assume thats normal lol .Damn things scare me :) Looking lovely Lori :) xxx

msflipflopsandpearls: That is amazing how they attach them and you can't tell at all you have extensions.  Love the long length on you.  Looking beautiful as always.  Love ya, Carolyn xo

RemDawg05: You look gorgeous.  And your hair is stunning.  So, so happy you're back.   YouTube was just not the same without you.

Caroline Lala: I got talked into these, they were great and the first time I've ever had hair extensions. I was so nervous and rightfully so. My own hair is like the photo here and is my own but I went for highlights and the hairdresser destroyed a few areas of my hair. I was only going to get a few patches of GL's done and that's what I should have stuck to as I'm not going to do it again. Why? Because the woman who took them out destroyed them. She lied about it and said my entire head of hair was destroyed. I didn't know what to do because I had a lot of big events coming up so I let her put in GLs because I was so in shock. I was told it's not supposed to ruin your own hair. My natural hair was long, I never style it straight because my own hair is straight and rarely curl it as I usually have a stylist do that because I'm lousy at one side and the back. Also, I don't use bleach on my natural hair, a professional uses colour in order not damage my hair, it's not super blonde but more golden blonde which is fine with me and then when it's safe I've had highlights put in, sure sometimes it goes a bit brassy but that's easy enough to handle. It was only one bad hairdresser over 10 years of doing my hair this way. I allow for growth before doing anything to it, typically 6-8 weeks for colour and 2- 3 x a year with highlights, sparsely painted in by a professional who usually just does the roots to where the growth area ends. I know I didn't do anything as most of the time i wear my GL's hair in a pony tail and/or light tense braid, I take really good care of it as if it were my own and I rarely straighten it as i don't mind the wave in it at all. It doesn't knot up on me because of my care and my own hair. I'm extra cautious so there should be no breakage like I'v e had. I don't think that last hairdresser took them out properly as it should be fine like it was the first time. I've only had them done 2x and after the first time, I was really impressed at my own hair length and health of my hair because I was trying to grow out those semi bald patches created by that hair dresser doing highlights who painted over old highlights. Now, I have short choppy hair and it's horrible. I'm so upset about that, so please ladies do your homework regarding stylists. I was across the country when I first had these installed by someone I trusted and couldn't fly back so I got her to refer someone here and that didn't go well. Consider what I'm saying if you have nice hair already but it's patchy. I'm going to be doing a lot of homework to figure out the best way to fix this. I wish I would have never gotten hair extensions and just put in pieces where there was damage and just lived with it. :(

Lori Elizabeth Wade: Miss your videos! We need some great reviews and opinions for us over 40. Hope you are well. :)

Timothy Sherrey Ehler: How did I miss this video, missie? I just found it looking for your channel so I could send you a note to see how you are doing. I was thinking that your hint to change your hair style was going to result in a different, but shorter hairstyle.  Your hair is now almost as long as mine is, but I did it the old 'fashioned way, and grew my own! Your decision to add hair looks beautiful, Lori!  It doesn't help me decide if I should cut mine, though!! I do not know anything about hair extensions at all. How do you brush your hair now without catching those spots where the other hair is attached? Are you over the fear of one or some of those groups of hair falling off,or coming out? Does it ever happen? How long do you anticipate it lasting for you ,according to how fast your hair grows? Do they have to remove all of those current bundles at that time, and redo them all again with more hair? Wow.....eight hours is an incredibly long time to be in the hairdressing chair, that is for sure. Hope things are going well for you, and you are settling in nicely.I think of you so often, wondering how you are now doing. I miss you, and I am sending lots of my Canadian love and hugs to you, Sherrey XOXO
