Getting Nano Hair Extensions For The First Time

Hi everyone. It'S me sammy welcome back to my channel welcome to my channel if you're new here, i hope, you're having an amazing day whatever it is you're doing in today's video, i'm really really excited, because today i am getting my first ever hair extensions like fitted. I am so excited. I'Ve never had extensions before um, so it's all very new and exciting, and i thought i would just do a little video on it. Um sort of go through what i've got to do beforehand before i get them fitted and go through sort of like the process. I'M going to be filming a little bit of like my hairdresser, fitting them in later and then i'll sort of do like a before and after shot as well to show you guys sort of the little process of it. I thought it'd be a nice, informative, video and helpful for anyone, that's looking to get hair extensions and because i've been doing so much research and looking into it and stuff - and i just thought it'd be nice to put it all into one place for you guys. Let'S dive into it today's a good day, it called for a mcdonald's breakfast so the other week when i got my hair dyed um by the same hairdresser um i use kim who is based in surrey. So if anyone in surrey is around and looking for a good hairdresser kim is amazing and her instagram is at little mist, hairstylist underscore i'm gon na leave it linked down below, as well as her website and her facebook as well. Just because she is a phenomenal hairdresser and if you are in this sort of surrey location, then check her out because she's amazing and she's mobile and it's just yeah she's amazing she's lovely um. So she gave me this and the other week when i had my hair done by her. So she'd done my highlights cut my curtain bangs. Don'T i'm not very good at styling it, so this is what we're left with, but it's an amazing color. She done like a root smudge as well, and there was pictures on my instagram and stuff in my stories of what she did and it was just loved it. And when she put in highlights and stuff - and we were just talking - and i was like you know what i want to go for extensions - so she literally shade matched my hair, then, and there i've got two different colors of blonde in my hair. So we've gone for like two packs of two blondes i'll show you them later anyway, and but she also gave me this little hair extension little pamphlet that she made and it's all about, like the aftercare, the pre-install instructions and all that kind of stuff. What products to use, how to look after them, how to dry them properly and just how to make sure you get the most out of your extensions she's gone to a lot of effort for this leaflet, and but it's very much appreciated for a complete newbie. That has no idea how to look after extensions. I decided to go for the nano extensions over tapes because, where they have the tapes and stuff i just feel like, i wouldn't be able to do as much with my hair, as i could, with the nanos they're. Just you can do a lot more styling and stuff with the nanos in rather than having it down all the time, and i like to tie my hair up. But as you can see when i tie my hair up, especially in like a high pony, i have like no ponytail um. So despite me having length um, i just don't really have thickness and stuff, so i've gone for 20 inch and nano extensions, um, there's going to be a lot of volume and a little bit of length as well um added onto my hair and i'm just going Through the pre-install instructions, so in order to prepare your natural hair ready for extensions and so either on the morning of your appointment or the night before i have to wash my hair in clarifying shampoo and because my appointment's, not until 3 30. This afternoon i thought i would wash it now sort of this morning and and i've gone for the argan hair therapy clarifying shampoo from superdrug. It was the only sort of shampoo at superdrug that was obviously clarifying shampoo, none others have it on there, like it's crazy. Having to try and find it, so i'm gon na be washing my hair in a second with this. Hence why i've got no makeup on or anything else like that, so yeah, that's the first step that i've got ta do in a second, i'm gon na go and wash my hair with a clarifying shampoo, um and but i'm not allowed to use any conditioner or Styling products on my hair afterwards, because i don't think it helps with the like installation and it can affect the like longevity of the extensions as well. And then i've got to ensure my hair is completely dry and i can straighten it. But i'm not allowed to curl it, so i've got a wash wash with just the shampoo, no conditioner, no styling products and then i'm just gon na dry. It there's no point me straightening it, because i've got ta go on the school run before my appointment and i have a feeling if i straighten it, it's just gon na be sword's law that it will rain and ruin it anyway. So what i'm gon na do is shampoo blow dry. Nothing else, then i'm just gon na leave my hair and then that will be my hair prepped ready for my appointment later. Also, once they've been applied, i'm not allowed to wash it for two to three days and to allow the bonds or tapes to fully set, and i've got to tie my hair back in a loose braid for bed to avoid it knotting overnight. So that is the first kind of step. I'M very excited. I mean look at these before and after pictures like just like not that color but like just look at that hair, it's beautiful and i can't wait, i'm so excited so i'm gon na go. Do that now, and then i'm gon na take some sort of like before shots and show you guys exactly what my hair's looking like now um, so that i can do like a before and after comparison as well later on, which is going to be exciting and Yeah, i'm very nervous, but very, very excited. At the same time. That'S my hair washed with the clarifying shampoo. I'M actually super impressed with this. Now i'm not gon na lie because i wasn't allowed to put conditioner or anything in after i'd washed. My hair, with a shampoo when i was brushing it and stuff afterwards, it felt horrible, like you just know when, like if you've got bleached hair you'll, understand like it literally felt like how it used to feel when i used to wash the bleach out when i Used to do box bleach on myself, like it felt so dry and horrible, but actually once i'd brushed it through, got the knots and stuff out um and blow-dried it. It'S actually feeling super light. It feels really deeply cleansed like it's got rid of all like the build up in my hair, and it actually feels like probably the cleanest. It'S been in a really really long time, which sounds really bad, but obviously, as you put conditioner and things like that in it like it, just does get that kind of build up in it. So, if you're looking for a really good clarifying shampoo to have like a really deep cleanse with this is actually amazing, and so it's the argan hair therapy clarifying shampoo from superdrug. I think it's 3.99 and i think it was actually buy. One get the second one. Half price as well, so it works out like three quid each. If you get two um so yeah very happy with that so far, there's literally nothing else to do guys, apart from waiting for my lovely hairdresser kim to arrive and to put in the extensions. So when she gets here i'll sort of show you the hair and stuff um and yeah show you a bit of the process and then we'll jump into sort of before and afters um yeah, i'm very, very excited. Indeed, let's actually have a look quickly at what my hair looks like now at the moment. So this is the current state of my hair. As you can see, it's got quite a bit of length on it actually, but it's just not even it sort of goes down into a diamond shape, there's not a lot of length on the sides and obviously it gets thinner and thinner. And obviously, if you see me how i tie it into a ponytail, there's literally like not an awful lot of hair there in the ponytail, especially if i get it higher and higher, it literally just becomes a little a little puff of hair. But this is what it looks like, so i will see you guys in a bit when we're doing the hair, so it is the day after i got my hair extensions. You guys would have seen the beautiful sort of after video of how it looked once it was done. It was stunning, i absolutely am so in love with my hair, so i slept with it last night. I just put it into sort of loose braids. I did like one either side of my head literally just grabbed it and just did like a really loose sort of braid similar to this. Just like a loose braid like that either side, so i've woken up sort of with sort of beachy waves. Now i mean it's never gon na look as good as when you get it done by the hairdresser like kim made it look so beautiful. Yesterday i was like not wanting to touch it. I just wanted to keep it that way forever, but that's never how it goes and but oh my gosh, i cannot wait to curl it play with it. Do all sorts of different styling with it like. I am obsessed. I can't stop looking in the viewfinder, because i just love it so much. I can't stop looking in mirrors every time i go. Past mirrors, it's exactly what i wanted. The color match is stunning, like so like seamless, like look at that blend like it just looks like it's, my hair continued, which is what you kind of want with hair extensions, but she did such a phenomenal job, i'm so in love with my new hair, i'm Dying to know what you guys think like have you guys had hair extensions before have you had the nano ones or like tapes like? One of the main things i wanted was a ponytail and look at this beauty when i tie her up like. Obviously this isn't perfect. I can't see, but look at that ponytail, oh yeah, i'm so in love with how my ponytail looks now, i'm so in love with the length the thickness just for once. I'M really happy with how my hair is, and i haven't felt that in a really long time, like yeah i've liked the color of it. It'S nice when i've got like the blonde highlights and stuff, but like i'm just so excited about my hair. Now - and i haven't felt that in so long so i am so so grateful to kim for doing the best job ever i can't wait. I can do like half ups half downs and still have like actual hair at the back, like oh, like stay tuned for hair extension, hair tutorials, i'm joking. I am in no way good at hair tutorials um. I'Ve ever made super happy can't wait to carry on looking after them. I'Ve got my beauty works, hair extension brush to brush through them. I'Ve got my olaplex. Where are you? So i'm about to get really really greasy in order to maintain the longevity of my extensions and but yeah once i am allowed to wash it again shampoo and conditioner from olaplex, and i need to keep brushing it through with the beauty works, hair extension brush and Just so it doesn't get knotted and matted and it doesn't feel heavy or it doesn't like it. I can feel the weight of it when i like, lift up and then drop there's more weight, but it's not like heavy. It'S not hurting my head. It'S not pulling or causing any tension like it just feels like nothing when my hair's just like this. It just feels like nothing and i'm just i'm. Just one happy happy girl at the moment. I don't know how this video is gon na turn out, like i've done a lot of like choppy changy bits throughout this video, but i hope it was a good video for you guys to watch.
