Hi, my beautiful people welcome back to house of hair uk. I hope everyone is safe and well. If you're new to this channel, don't forget to subscribe. We'Re house of hair uk we're a hair extension salon based in west london, england and we're dedicated to all things. Hair extensions, so in this video today, i'm going to be showing you how to do a wash and blow dry on someone who's got micro, linx, hair extensions. This is highly requested by customers and also by other stylists, who want to know how to maintain their client. Microlinks, if you're interested in seeing how we do this keep watching. So the first thing that you need to remember is to always have your head laid in a natural direction, so, whether that's you're doing your hair in the shower or, if you're doing your hair in the salon. You never want to flip your hair extensions over your head, more so for european or more softer like asian hair textures for afro hair. It doesn't tangle as much but for european hair. If you flip that over, when you go to lay it back down in a natural direction, it tends to be matted and tangled. So the first thing we're going to do is we're going to saturate our hair with water, and then this lady has a texture release, so we're going to use the texturally, shampoo and conditioner in order to do this wash so taylor here is showing you that we're Using kind of the palm of our hands we're not using the tip of our fingers, you don't want to get in there and scrub with the tip of your fingers, because if you do that, you can sometimes tangle and catch on the client's hair and then the Wash becomes a little bit painful, so here she's, just showing you not gon na scratch. No, no, no, we're gon na use the palm of our hands and we're gon na scrub. That scalp we like to do two shampoos and the reason why we do two is because one is dedicated at the scalp and then one is dedicated to the client's hair and the hair extensions. So you can just do kind of two washes and focus on both of them at the exact same time. That'S fine, but um. We like to focus our first wash more on the scalp, but we're getting everything off of the scalp. All of that build up, and then the second one, because the dirt kind of would have ran onto the hair. We'Re then going to wash more the hair extensions. So here you can see. Taylor is kind of focusing on the scalp and she's going to do the ends, so once we've done two shampoos, we then take off a little bit of the moisture, and this lovely lady is going to actually have a mini treatment mask so at house of hair. We have our own treatment mask and it's kind of a hair extensions boost, it adds protein and it adds collagen to the client's hair, and so taylor is going from mid-section to the ends of the client's hair. We don't want to put conditioner at the root, because the conditioner and treatment mask are quite heavy and they can kind of like back up those those hair pores. You don't want to kind of put anything too heavy on there. Now that you've scrubbed off everything so she's going to give her a slight head, massage and then take her over to the chair so that she can start her blow-dry. So here you can see when you have a texture release done on your hair. When you wet your hair, when you get into really humid environments, your hair will revert back. It'S an amino acid treatment that smooths out your hair. Once it's washed and blow-dried, you can put products in it and have like a softer curl pattern, but most people use texture release an hour salon for a more smoother look, so she's putting the texture release. I think it's 10 in one heat protector or it's a thermal protector and she is kind of stretching out her hair with the blow dryer rather than putting the brush directly on it, and rather than putting the heat directly on it, so she's lightly blasting it with The blow dryer but she's using her hands to make sure that she's stretching her hair out and then she's going in with just a normal denman brush. So make sure that you're using a brush. That has not got those little balls on the ends because they will catch on the micro links. I am going to do a video on my tic toc that is going to talk about the types of brushes to use when you've got micro, link, hair extensions tape, ins or braidless. As you can see here, taylor's done the whole of the bottom part of her hair and she's blow-dried that out and then she's kind of going to split the top part into two and gon na. Do the left and right side. It really depends on the volume of your hair or your client's hair, how you section it, but you just want to make sure that you're blow-drying with a brush. I prefer brushes because i give i feel like it gives you a bit more of a smoothing out before you then go in with the hair straighteners, as opposed to using like a hair pick on the end of a blow dryer. However, if you're not familiar with using a blow dryer and a brush at the exact same time, then those hair picks or blow dry brushes, the one where it's kind of like all in one they can actually be a lifesaver and they can really help you to Kind of smooth out your hair so don't be afraid to try different products and different tools when it comes to blow drying she's going in with a light, mist, um heat protector again and that's the texture release one again. So it's a thermal protector and, as you can see, she didn't put that directly on the scalp and then she's gon na take section by section and straighten her hair out is um. But i want to just make sure that people have got all the information when you go in with the hair straight now, be mindful that the tip of the hair extensions actually has like a little plastic tip on it. So when you go to the root of your hair, you're just going to lightly pass over it and then you're going to keep some tension in your hair and do slow passes down your hair. Can you see how slow she's going and this video is sped up? So you want to do slow passes as opposed to doing lots and lots of different passes yeah. I hope that makes sense is to finish off her styling taylor is just putting in some soft curls in her hair and then she'll be good to go. Not sure if it’s worth just relaxing my hair for easy maintenance when I do get the extension or should I go for the safe option which is the texturizer but worried with texturizer will mean more maintenance as I work out a lot and sweat which means more wash and more straightening ( too much heat ) . what’s your advise please on this ?
