Micro links on African American Hair ,

Oh, hey guys, what's up it's your girl simone here today in this video we're doing another itip slash micro link, install, i will be the one installing it last time in my other video that was super detailed. My aunt went ahead and installed it on me. So now i'm doing it on my little sister. So we have this naturally curly eye tip hair that i found from a person on instagram and we got 20 inches of this lovely hair and each bundle has about a hundred eye tips in each bundle. We only used about a bundle and a couple of strands from the second bundle, so you don't really need two bundles. To be honest, if your hair is already full and thick, so this little starter kit, we got from amazon. I got this one specifically so that when she goes home she can take it out herself or if she wanted to put any in herself. I can just easily show her and it's just easy, simple and came all together at one time so to get started. We have her hair freshly washed, not really blow dried but kind of stretched, and so what i'm going to do right now is just focus on leaving out figuring out what parts of the hair that i want to leave out. So for the back, we don't want to leave out too much, but we want to leave out enough so to just separate it from the rest of the hair. I am going to just braid braid it into one neat. Braid now. Remember the sides guys when you're putting your hair into a ponytail, you want to make sure you have enough hair on the sides left out to cover the eye tips. Okay. Now this is not a permanent decision. If you really wanted to go ahead and take out more or take out less and then you know figure it out during while you're doing the hairstyle, that's fine, but i like to just eyeball it first and then, if i have to take out more or take Out less, then, i can do that along the way. So now we have the beads the beads. You want to go ahead and slide onto this little tool right here and then you're going to put the hair in between the wires of the tool and then slide that little black bead thing up it's kind of hard to record. While i'm doing this, so i'm going a little bit slow with you guys and then pull the hair through. And then i like to just go ahead and put all the beads on at one time and then go back and then put all the attach all the eye tips at one time now you can do each one individually, it's totally up to you. But for me this helps me to go a little bit faster and just makes life a little bit easier. Take your eye tip as you can see, and you want to just slide it in to the link and then you're going to use this little plier thing and clamp it now. I want to make this very clear to you guys: do not clamp this super tight because it may cut your hair. Do not slide the bead up so close to the root, because it will be super tight and it will make your hair fall out. So you want to just be very generous with the amount not too generous, but leave a cup leave some space between the bead and the roots of the hair. I don't do this hairstyle tight at all. Okay, it's uncomfortable and i don't think it should be tight. I like to keep the links a little loose so that if you wanted to put your hair into a ponytail directly after which i don't suggest you doing, you have that option now. If you watched my first video going back to that conversation, my first video - i had a lot of disclaimers. Okay in that video of what to do, what not to do which hair type should qualify, which type doesn't qualify and so forth. So definitely go ahead and check out that video i'll have linked in the upper right hand corner, but i think this hair matches so good with her hair blends really well. So this is for all my girls that don't really have a looser hair texture. I do have a video coming out, which i did post on instagram of using my cousin now who has a looser hair texture, so i wanted to give you guys all kinds of options. So you have me that have heat damage, natural hair and you have my cousin, who has a looser hair texture, and then you have my sister, whose hair is more of a tighter curl, so different ranges. Okay. This is my second time installing micro links. I am not a professional okay, so i want to make that clear, um the first time i didn't do it. My aunt did it on me. We were just learning that was our first time doing it. So in total i would say just my this is gon na, be my second video and i have a third one coming out. So i'm not a pro i'm just learning it's just a nice break to have a nice change from the lace, wigs and wigs and the bundles and the weave. Well, this is weave, but you know the weft weaves. Okay, it's a nice change from having it! Oh just look at that seamless blend, it just looks so good, so she wanted to know how her hair would look blow dried. So we went ahead and just blow dried it later on. We ended up styling it different as you guys seen in the intro and, as you will see towards the end, but yeah be very gentle when you're doing this. I know a lot of people always ask me like: can you style the hair? Can you wash the hair? Can you this the hair um when i had my micro links in i dyed my hair, so there's a lot of versatility that you could you know with these things? Okay, um. You can definitely wash your hair. She went to the pool with this in her hair and it looks so good. I have to include that clip crap. I forgot about it and yes to answer your question: you can wash your hair, you can dry your hair, you can blow dry, your hair, you can roll this at your hair. It'S pretty much like it acts as your real hair. Now do i recommend keeping this in for a long time? No, i don't. Okay, i just don't. I think it's a nice change, an alternative, [ Applause. ] now guys i do have a video where i will show you guys how to remove micro links and a lot of people always ask me: well, how do you remove it? Well, how do you remove it, and i forgot to record myself removing my micro links and i forgot to show you guys how to remove it in this video, so um, i will actually have a video coming up where i am showing you guys how to remove It because that's also important to know it's also very easy to do so. My sister wanted to wear a half a pack down now in the i get a lot of questions. Can you wear a half a pack down if the whole middle part is beaded with the eye tips? Yes, you can so right now, i'm taking out some hair to kind of like how you would do with a sew-in, i'm leaving out the middle part, which is this braided part, so that when she is finished with the hairstyle, she can just pull out the braid And it'll blend in with her hair, so you can wear a half a path down and then from here on now, i'm going to speed it up because it's pretty much as repetitive. It'S me doing the same exact thing row for row for row and then my hand started cramping up. It was the weirdest feeling ever like it just got stuck so i had to like massage my hand, which is what you see me doing in the videos. So here we have a new angle, which i actually really like. This angle actually did this from the beginning and again, i'm just doing the same exact thing now. I honestly thought that we were gon na use like both bundles, which i was crazy to say that, because we didn't, we literally used one, not even one full bundle. I would say we use like we use one bundle. I would say we use one entire bundle. The second bundle barely got touch. We probably slipped out, maybe like six out of the second bundle. So if you're trying to eyeball it, i would say just honestly, i would just say, buy one bundle, because one bundle has a hundred links me and then you just see me blow drying. Because again, i just wanted to blow dry it in pieces versus doing a whole head all at one time. So as i'm going along, i am going to blow dry and i i wasn't going for a silky blow dry. Look. I was just going for a stretch. Type of look, but this is how, inside the micro links look in case, you guys are uh curious as to how it looks in the middle. This is how it looks and the one thing about micro links that i do want to say. I mean it might look like i'm being rough, but i really was not being rough at all um when you are doing micro links be very gentle. Okay, like if you style your hair, normally in a ponytail, you want to style it the same way, but instead of using all that force and all that arm strands, don't use all that arm strands like cut it in half. You want to be as gentle as possible because these are very delicate. This is a very delicate hairstyle, so right here, what i want to show you i'm gon na i'm gon na slow. This part down a little bit. We ended up taking out these two rows. So in the first video i realized that i didn't show you guys um, how i finished off the front and it could be a little bit tricky. So i'm still learning exactly how to do the front to avoid is really putting any micro link in this specific area, because i feel like it's just too much tension on that part of my hair. I don't try to go close to the front of the hairline on the very next day we ended up taking out this row and this row the first these two rows, because it just was too much hair and it was just too full for her face. So we ended up taking it out, so don't go too close to the front is my suggestion: [ Applause, ] and then to finish off the look. We did go ahead and curl the hair um. She actually wanted to do a twist out, but i need the results today. So i was like. Can we please just curl it? So we curled it um the next day she didn't do a braid out and twist out the next day she did go to the pool, so she loved it. I loved it, we loved it. I hope you guys love it and i'm going to show you guys. Some just last minute like how we put it up in a ponytail. I would suggest not putting it in a point directly after giving your hair time to breathe, no matter if it's loose or not um, but we wanted to put it up just for video purposes. So i didn't do it tight, i just held it and you can see it's seamless, it looks good. You can't see any links, you can't see any of the metal pieces looks super good and then this is how the hair looks curled. So it looks so good guys it's a beautiful blend. I love it. I'M actually really proud of myself. She still has it in. It'S only been, i would say a week and a half right now, because she just went back to new york and i think it looked pretty good. It'S nice, it's flowy, it's comfortable. She said absolutely love it. So let me know what you guys think down below i'll see you guys in my next video again. I always ask you guys for suggestions, tips and anything down below love. You guys and see you guys and bye.
