Guys, what's up it's your girl, simone here, welcome back to my channel if you're new, please make sure you go ahead and subscribe to my channel with this video. I wanted to do a q a, and i asked you guys to list any questions you might have in regards to microlinks, because, honestly i love it. I know it's been around for years, but i have personally just decided to try it. This is my second time having it in you've. Seen me. Do my little sisters, you've seen me, do my little cousins and, to be honest, i don't think i probably will stop anytime soon. They'Re comfortable they're, flexible, they're, easy, and so i feel like for people that might be interested in it. You might have a few questions. I had lots of questions and i couldn't find many videos that actually explained to me what i was looking for. So i said i'm gon na just do it myself and make my own video. So here we are so i'm gon na go straight into the questions things to know before getting micro links and eye tips. They can last up to two months or longer, with the proper care and maintenance avoid micro links. If your hair is thinning, because there will be added stress to your hair, they do not always require heat. There are several different hair textures that you can definitely choose between. As you can see from this google search. If your hair is natural, there are many textures out there today that will mimic your hair pattern and your curl pattern. This way, you can still do bomb twist out bomb, braid out all kinds of bomb natural hairstyles that don't require heat. The install time can be between one to four hours depending on the stylus, since it was our first time it did take about four hours. Micro links can be very expensive to have installed. When i did my research, i found pricing between 300 to a thousand dollars just to have installed and, yes, you can wash your hair just be very gentle and very delicate. Seven days later after i installed my micro wings, i actually washed my hair and dyed it and i was able to blow dry it just be very gentle, move, slow and be very delicate. With your hair. Now questions i want to say every hair texture can pretty much get micro length. There is a micro link, texture for your hair type. You just have to do the research you have to look. You have to dig okay, but it's there there's a lot of naturals out there. A lot of curl patterns a lot of different textures out there. The hard part is because everything is sold online is hoping that when you get that texture that you think might be right actually fits your hair tight. However, if you do get a texture that is too curly or too kinky, you can also blow it out or straighten the curl pattern a little bit so that it matches and mimics your curl pattern. It just takes work and research to find a texture that matches your hair perfectly. Your natural hair should be a good enough length if your hair is short, i would not say to get long micro links, because the difference in length is just going to be ridiculous when the wind blows, your short hair is going to go that way and the Long hair is going to go this way. It'S not going to be a really great blend. It'S not going to look as natural. All your hair is out. You only really have micro lengths in the middle of your head. So if you have short hair, do you know how much work that's going to be to make sure that that blends? In perfectly, if you were to get a short hairstyle, but you still wanted fullness, you could also do micro links as well. I wouldn't get 20 inch micro links with four inch real here. I just i personally wouldn't do it. I wouldn't recommend it. It'S gon na take too much work for you to just try to do certain stuff, just because the length difference. So how do you take them out? I am going to actually be doing a video showing you guys how to take out the micro links. A lot of people have asked me so easy and such a quick process to take out so because i'm still learning how to do micro links. What i've been trying to tell like my cousin, my sister and myself, when i take my micro links out, is to take note of how much hair comes out. It can cause breakage if you're doing super tight, ponytail the super tight style or a lot of blow drying or a lot of flat ironing it might cause breakage. However, you won't know if your hair really broke off until you're, taking it out. So the first time that i did micro links and i took out my hair and i brushed it out - i actually did not have a lot of shedding. I also only kept it in for about uh what a month i really barely had much breakage, i would say i have way more, shedding and way more hair coming out when i do sew in versus when i had the micro links in so for me personally, It didn't take out much hair, i think only one link fell out and that's because i put the link at the tip of the silicone bead stick the tip in a little bit more further into the bead, not too much, but just so it's a nice medium. But my tips have not fallen out. It stays in place. I don't have any pulling discomfort. I don't do my links tight when i'm first doing them. I leave some space between my scalp and the bead, so it's not tight. It'S not pulling on my hair. So this to me is still debatable, because i've seen some stylists saying that they have clients that keep it in for three months, four months: five, six, seven! When you do research, they say you can keep it in between a certain amount of time me personally, i take mines out. I would say no more than a month to two months and only reason why i'm saying two months is because these things cost a lot. So am i gon na do this and then take it out within a month, probably not i'm probably gon na stretch it to two months when you wash your hair, your hair does swell up in the bead. So if your hair is super super super thick, i i'm worried if it might dread up a little bit as you're doing several washes unless you're going to a professional and getting maintenance care with it. But if you're just doing it by yourself or you're doing it at home or with somebody that's less experienced, i personally would not say to keep that in, but these are meant to last way longer than a month. Like you know, if you go on google, like i showed you in my first video, they can last this long, so i don't feel like they're damaging, i feel like they can also help promote hair growth. I like to wash my hair, i like to deep condition. My hair i like to treat my hair i like to scratch my scalp, i like to oil, my scalp, so i feel like i'm still being forced to take care of my real hair, which is why i don't feel like you're damaging. However, if you just leave your hair to just sit there and get dry and brittle and you're continuously flattering your hair every day, then yes, it depends on your maintenance and how you take care of your hair um. As far as the micro links, you want to make sure that the beads are actually silicone line, and this will help to prevent breakage, i'm doing it. Deja niger now deja. She still washes her hair. She deep conditions it she still treats it. She doesn't straighten it at all, even though we straightened it in the video and she's been completely fine. It'S her first time doing this first time having it in and the maintenance is super easy treat it like your real hair um. As far as niger she's doing the same thing, twist outs braid out, she had a more kinkier texture, so just treat it like your real hair. It'S really not that hard to install. I mean to me: it's not! I don't know, because i have hair experience um. I'M not a licensed professional, but i you know have been doing my own hair for a while. I would say it's super easy to install um. Someone actually asked me to do it myself, so i'm probably going to challenge myself and do it. It'S not that hard. It really isn't, you just need a mirror, a comb and great skill and patience um. I should teach a class. I will one day once i feel like i got it really down packed. She only wears it curly. I have not seen her re-straighten it after that. Video and it looks amazing, [ Applause ], i'm not gon na lie. She actually tricked me one day because i had to ask her. I was like you still have the links in like your hair. It looked so good. It blended it blended in so well. So again, i already answered that you can do it yourself or you can get it done professionally. Personally, i would say this is your first time doing this. Have somebody else do it for you this? Can you can actually cause a lot of damage? If you don't know what you're doing so, i would say once you test the waters and you feel like you got it down. Packed then sure do your thing, but if you feel like you're still a newbie and you're still learning like me still ask questions. Still ask for help and still have somebody else. Do it if her natural, hair, curls or frizz frizzes, you can one straight re-straighten it again to match the hair texture. If the hair texture is straightened at that moment in time or you can do other hairstyles, you can do braid outs, you could do twist out. You can manipulate it like how you would draw here. So to answer your question: i don't do clients i'm located in atlanta, but i'm just doing this because i want to help everybody else out who might want a different hairstyle or different option, but still want to wear their hair. You know i'm not familiar with what youtubes are so i'll, probably save that to answer somewhere else like on instagram or something so i'm not really familiar. I feel like it does work on thin hair. I'Ve seen people do it personally, i really wouldn't do it on thin hair, because i just feel like, unless you're going to wear hair down every day with no manipulation, no hairstyle, it may work. Just don't do tight ponytails, don't do anything crazy, just literally just leave it to just hang and wear it out. I guess it just depends on how great your stylist is as well, because i've seen people do it on instagram and i'm like whoa. That looks really really really good, because the stylist was out of stock of uh bundles, let's just cut it to make it blend in actually, what's the shedding situation, how long will the links last is dying links possible and how much so links can be anywhere between Four hundred dollars to about, i think, eleven hundred dollars. They can be very expensive. You won't really. It won't really be around four hundred dollars. It'S usually really expensive, like around eight hundred dollars. I'Ve seen the median price been around eight hundred dollars or even starting at eight hundred dollars, but if it is less than that, it could be either a newbie or somebody that just they, you know price your things differently, but the median price is going to be Between is going to be 800 um. My hair is not shed at all. That could be because of the hair company that i use, but my hair does not shed whatsoever when i brush it. When i blow dry it when i comb it, when i flat iron it it does not shed. Yes, you can dye your hair with the links in what type of hair did i use. I don't know, but i'm gon na. Add it right here in the video. So you guys can go ahead and check it out for yourselves getting the hair is the challenging part, because you want to have enough, but you don't you don't want to just over buy then i'm saying so because this seller she sells her hair in bundles of 50 um eye tips at a time on her site. It does say that you might need 250 links in order to do a full head, and so i ended up just going with 150 eye tips because i only wanted it to be fuller, but not too full and not obviously thin little cousin. Obviously she bought three bundles. I bought three bundles. I would say we probably only used about 100 eye tips. We only used two bundles of 50 eye tips, totaling it to be a hundred eye tips. I wouldn't do anything less than a hundred, because then your hair, just gon na look like a thin ponytail, and you don't want that. How many microwaves are needed for a partial, install perimeter, so she wants it only for the perimeter and the leave out. I would say for a partial install, i would say you won't know until you try and again i'm not. I can't really give you all advice, because again, i'm still learning so, i would say, maybe do buy 100 at least minimum. If you use less, it can't hurt, save the rest for next time. If you need more, then just next time, you know to buy three bundles versus just two. I got this hair from studio tequila. I i never know if i'm saying it right or not, but she's, on instagram and youtube, and she does microlinks as well, and where can i order the hair studio tequila, so micro lynx is a protective hairstyle like every other protective hairstyle. There is out there in the world, it's just like box braids, it's just like a sew-in. It'S just like a partial sewn. It'S like a full head sewing. It'S like a lace, wig, a lace closure. All these things. It'S it's in that category. All protective styling has their risk and some are better than others. I like to say, microlinks is just like that. I compare microlinks to a box braid, it's taking small groups of hair and you're, attaching an extension to it, which is like kind of like a box. Braid, it all comes with risk, it all depends on just how you take care of it and how you maintain it. So i like to always make that clear, because i always see people say: oh my god, i broke my hair broke my hair and that that might very well be true. You know it just depends on how you take care of it and that's what i'm going to say because it's the same thing with every other protective style. I hope i made things easy for you guys. I hope i helped you guys understand a little bit more about the micro link technique and texture and textures and what to do versus what not to do yeah. I hope i hope i really did help you guys. So thanks for watching this video guys, i hope i helped a little. This dress is from a locator, see you guys bye, talking,

Me’Ashia Hicklen: I like how your videos get to the point! I’m getting them soon for the first time and I’m excited!!

Brown Girl Bella: I have been binge watching your videos. You did a great job explaining everything!

Hair by Dene’t: You provided great info except itips are not a protective style. Bc all of the hair is out and not put away from heat or outside elements, nothing is actually being protected. FYI for those interested in this install technique.

peepla7: For new to links...sometimes the link fails on the first go...so don't get tempted to reclamp...this will make removal nearly impossible.

Veronica Coby: Wonderful presentation and advice!!! Thank you.

Sarena Fleming: This was SUUUUPER helpful, im really trying to do myself, i have 4c hair and was going to buy 2 texture types just so i can see the difference. But my question is if your hair is if hair is shoulder length then is a 22" too long? Shld I stick with 20?

CL Taylor: Hi Simone, I tried itips too mostly based on your videos. You do a great job. Can you clarify when you say this is a protective style? I always thought protective styles are styles that your ends are totally put up. You are not touching or manipulating your ends. How are itips a protective style when all of your hair is out. 0% of your hair is protected, so I’m confused.

Ms Understood: very informative video. Straight to the point

precious huntley: Thanks again Simone. I see your grind. Keep posting on Micro links.

Sanya Scorpio: This is really helpful

Dewana Johnson: You did an amazing job. I saw Studio Techilo install links with the weft. I know they were some type of links but couldn't figure out how the link and weft was attached. I'm curious. Do you have any idea? Thanks

Sung Mook: Great video, very informative!

adi24: how do you keep your actual hair from dreading up above the bead after washing it a few times?<3

Kyla Bass: Thankyou so much for this! I had soooo many questions about this! I have another question though I was thinking about getting these for my vacation for Mexico. Is this a good idea? As far as I’d I go swimming?

Valleen V. Vallere: Very informational. Thank you!!!

Neesha Monroe: Have you thought about doing a braidless sew in with microlinks ?

fatoumata diarra: It can't be a protective style , since your own hair's ends are out , like it would be as normal! This is like extensions "keratin" type.

Sea Truth: If the client has thin hair, they should get the single side tape ins. The single side method is less stress and tension on fine and thin hair.

Yvette Armendariz: You are amazing and thank you for your time and helpful information

TAE Beauty: Heyyyy, thanks for answering all our questions

PurebeautybyMJ: Thank you for introducing me to microlinks ! this style is going to generate me wealth

Amaka TV: Bet no one would see this but she’s been my biggest inspiration in starting my channel

gacutie47: Thank you, I have been wanting to try Micro-links, but I was a little afraid until now.

Hope Idowu: Also, i felt after the install, mine weren’t full enough. Do some iTips came thinner than others? And how can I find the full iTips?

Sabrina Clark: Hi what are your suggestions for washing micro links while they’re installed?

Alisha Brown: I noticed you used 2 different hair companies. So far which one do you prefer based off experience with your hair and your cousins hair?

E Jay: Is the tool/ needle nose pliers to use to install the same tool to use to take out the itips of that makes sense

Bee: Thanks so much for this video ! Could you please recommend a good store to get the hair from?

Angela S: Excellent video!!! There really aren't many videos out there for links on natural hair.. Thank you!

Imdiamante: So 2 months later I’m ready to take your class !

peepla7: To tighten...open the link... Slide the bead and link up further...reclamp. finish.

AlexandriaTheGoddess McEachern: It’s the texture matching for me

schellstarr: You are very informative.

Tasia Scott: Do you know where I can buy kinky curly Itips? Preferably 3c-4b curl pattern?

Jennifer Torres: I live less then an hour from Atlanta and I’m getting them done for the first time next week and this calmed my nerves !

MyCHITOWNSFINEST: Really, Really Good Information!

Dorothy Lisbon: I recommend you research fast hair growth shampoo to double hair growth.

HAIZZUL: Where did u get that brown top from? I love it

Aneesa Shah: Can I use this as a form of protective styling?

Tameca Croom: My hair was short and I was able to make it happen but you are fire with the link install!!! Love!!!

JustFoyJohnson Family First: This video was great and I want them soooooo bad..But I cant believe that it cost upwards of 2k hair included for an installation. Blows my mind!

Sharon Williams: Simone, you said you are not licensed but I would trust you any day to do my hair. I have watched numerous videos on this and no one compares to you now, please answer my email

Hope Idowu: I’ve had a few slide out. Why is this happening and how do I prevent it?

monke Mario: Thank u !!! Needed this

Kat Lewis: Thank you so much for this!

Nicki Banks: What would be pros and cons of Microlinks VS Tape in extensions on melanin hair ?

Tia D. Buck: Can you wear a frontal in front for the ones with no edges?

Alisia Higginbotham: Thank you for this video

ItsYourGurl Tasha: Thanks for the advice

THE MUURDERS: Can your hair grow without using heat

Sonja Davis: ive purchased the pre bonded Itips{thinking it would be easier} & silicone lining micro rings, my hair is so thick i can barely get the Itips thru the rings WITHOUT pushing the silicone lining out no matter how small i make my parts. Are there different sizes micro rings or would the glue fusion be better.

Ke'aundre Boxhill: Can you do a maintenance video?

Angel: where do you buy your itips?

Nicholas Tyson: Hi Simone great job on the video and keep up the good work and stay motivated at what you do and I like your hair style it looks beautiful and keep doing your thang and I like your outfit it looks gorgeous on you and you are a gorgeous black young lady with a beautiful body and keep risen to achieve your goals and stay positive in everything you do and keep up the good work and stay safe and have a great day and excellent job on the video and keep up the good work I enjoyed the video and keep up doing what you do and keep up the good work ✋✋✋✋✋

Sunny Deè: Hey, can you suggest some places to buy good hair at?

peepla7: Can also make links with track hair and bulk hair.

Monique Adams: I love that brown top! Is that from your boutique?

Bianca Yéléna: could it be reusable? i mean after take off can reuse it

Nika Nacol: Is there a way after you wash the micro links to straighten the roots ? Or does the root stay natural until they are tightened or the style is redone al together

Danielle Reid: does a person hair have to be long like kneck length or it doesnt matter also how does one remove them and can you reuse the micro links or they have to be new links

Naida Lynn: Can you reuse your microlinks?

Sid The Creator: Anyone know someone who does micro links on textured hair like this in NYC? All the places I looked into that offer this service aren’t familiar with doing so on hair textures that aren’t straight.

Camp Sanders: I’m so annoyed I live in AZ and can’t find anybody that does this style and does it well!

luvmusic2570: Where did you get your micro links from ?

peepla7: U tip is same as I tips...the shape...forms a U. Some like to put there hair in the U so the hair is completely encased in it....then clamp. I tips cost more.

Megan Lenzy: Imma do this myself

Samantha Simone.: I wish I had someone I could do these on to practice

TJ TO(Wavyy): What type of hair do i need for this?

HerAbstractCo: & ty so informative

Margaret Williamson: Not Everyone is a good client for them; breakage happen only if you have it to the scalp

Suvanee xo: Did u mention pricing ??

HerAbstractCo: Can you reuse the tips?

Jazmine Collins: Do you install them on yourself?

BaddieTwinz TV: liked the video before even watching

Frandia Blaise: Can you reuse the links ?

Curly Cutie: How is this a protective style? I didn't get that part. I thought protecticve styles protect the ends of trhe hair.

Kieba Thomas: What vendors do you like for textured hair?

sharra200909: I make my own i tips with bundle hair.

makayla carter: i don’t understand why they are sooo expensive it’s literally just box braids without the braids

Junior Chaves o Picasso de Yahushua: Heyyyy gorgeous! <3

Kimika Gonzalez: I want to know if you can use microlinks hair if you have thin hedges how would it look, but I want to know if you can do a client with thin hedges with microlink hair so I can see how it look because I have thinning hedges just in the front I don't have thin in the back

Alicia Jones: I luv ur videos so much

Denisse Arroyo: I have too much hair, I don't know if it is an option for me to achieve a longer hair... I don't want it to look extra hair and unreal.

peepla7: If you can't find links in your texture...you can boil it into the texture you want.

peepla7: Remember you can reuse microlinks.

At this moment: all your hair is exposed so its not a protective style

Yolanda Domond: Show a video how to remove them plz
