Microlinks Or...? Exposing My Natural Hair Blowout And U-Part Wig Install | Ft. Jurllyshe

Hey love bugs welcome back to my channel if you're tuning in for the first time, i'm ashley and today we're going to be installing this beautiful wig. From start to finish, and yes, we do have leave out, you guys can see and notice that this one blends so amazing with my leave out um, i didn't have to press it out if the wind blows it looks just like my natural hair. It is a u-part wig, so these are the type of perfect wigs for those of us who want that whole like youtube. Vloggers are on the wave of like doing like tapings sew-ins clip-ins um micro links, so we want to be able to kind of like ride. The wave to give ourselves a break from the frontals and the closures, especially because a lot of us are working from home these days, but you still want to jazz it up. So today, i'm going with a very long full voluminous, kinky straight lace, not a lace. Wig, a u-part wig and we are going with the leave out. The icing on the cake is that tape, ins, micro links and all that can possibly damage your hair, not from the actual installation, but from the wear and tear of being able to like press your hair, and you know, manipulate it curl it on a daily basis. This one i chose this texture because all i did was a quick blowout to my hair, um and yeah. I don't have to go ahead and press it or damage it, and so this here is my hair. I'M going to show you guys i did a co-wash off camera earlier today, so you're going to see me go from what my hair looks like air dry, we're going to blow dry it together, we're going to give ourselves a nice little dusty ends, type of mini Trim where i trim maybe about a quarter, inch all the way around to promote some hair growth and then we're going to go ahead and install our you part with just two simple and easy products. Everything is listed in link in the description box. So without further ado, let's jump right into the video i'm about to go pick up some crap, so i figured you know. I already did my makeup, but i didn't do my hair. This is crazy. I'M not walking out the house like this, so either going to just blow dry and put in a ponytail or i'm going to go ahead and put on a v part wig. So today, i'm working with jelly sheet. They sent me over a beautiful b part wig, which hopefully you guys already seen in the intro inside the bag, was um a pack of wig caps and then a little goodie bag. So i'll show you this. Maybe at the end of the video hi, you hit your fingers. You, okay, okay, go play them. Let me get some work done. Okay, i'll be out in just a second okay. I'M gon na try and be quick with this, and that is the beauty of the part wigs. If i put on a frontal or a closure wig, i can still get it done, quick because i'm good at this, but the quickest would be a v part wig. So i found one you guys. I have so many wigs that i have to do reviews for you guys, so i had to go through all and say which one fits. My move, my personality right now, which one will be easy to install, and since i have my natural hair freshly washed, which one would do me, justice and i went with this one - it's a kinky straight uh, it's not a v part. That was an e part, but it's actually a u-part wig, and this is how it looks. This is the inside cap here and then, as you guys, can see. You have like these two little pieces that connected and you're like. Why would you have that? Where would that go think about it? If you put the wig on there's no way to have your leave out, be leave out with these on, but the company just naturally puts this here so that you can see the shape of the the wig. If you are displaying it, you can put it on the wig head and you can, you know, have it sit like an actual wig once you cut these, of course it's harder to like put it on a wig head and so forth, and so on. So they just kind of give you these you know connected if you will so that you can try it on for size and make sure that it fits once you cut that it's yours, so yeah, i'm gon na just cut those off really quickly. It'S almost like cutting the lace once you cut this off since you already agree that the wig fits you like it and you're about to install it, there's also excess lace in the back. This is great if you want to go ahead and like put it on and still put it up in a ponytail to make the back look natural okay, so the wig is prepped. It literally took all of two minutes inside you do have one comb here. One comb here and then you have one at the center. This is going to help you to be able to secure it around that you part and then, of course, a comb at the nape, so that you, you know you can tuck it into your braids and it doesn't lift, but we also have to prep our hair. So, as i mentioned, i co-washed my hair today, i'm in need of a good, shampoo and conditioner. I just went through a bottle of the nexus humectress conditioner. I picked that one up from target and i really like the way it works, but i'm really wanting to try. I believe her name is tracy ross. Diana ross's daughter, tracy ellis ross. She has a new line. I think it's called pattern i'll have it linked in the description box, but i'm gon na use this blow dryer. This one gets really high. When i'm doing my natural hair prefer to use a comb, because i don't flat iron, my hair and it's natural and a comb kind of concentrates the heat and makes it get as straight as i needed to get so, let's go ahead and blow dry, my hair And then we'll install the wig, so one section out the way i'm gon na speed through the rest but um. My hair is due for a trim. I'M not a fan of like um, doing big cuts until i'm in the mood. But i do like to dust my ends. I actually haven't done this in a while, but that probably was all of a quarter of an inch i feel like when i'm looking in the mirror. It probably could use a cut like up to here. I just feel like after my last baby, my hair just has been so damaged, just like the whole texture changed. I think i have a lot of new growth in here because it's just so puffy in the end and it's a lot more like soft and relaxed the only thing i need when i'm done. I have this short piece here, so i'm going to go ahead and trim it to kind of like encourage it to catch back up all the way it has grown a lot. Now we have half the hair done. I'M gon na do the other side off camera and i am using my mom's purple comb feel like now, let's section out some hair for our. U part, i feel, like other races, don't use combs they're not committed to combs the way we are because we like a good straight part, but today i'm going to take a page out of their book and just clip this down and then put the rest of The hair back, okay, i put it into a really small bun. I really don't want to braid it, because i don't sleep in you, part wigs, and so when i am done for the night, i want to be able to take it out and just put it into like a ponytail or a bun without having it crimped up. I'M going to put something back there, just as slightly protected and again we're on a road to fix our edges in august. It wasn't like they weren't this sparse, so i'm not saying rona rona did it, but somebody even listened like and just now. Okay, first step is to just put her on, i feel like she's, going to fit like a glove now pro tip. Don'T put that hook in the back. We like to use that um that comb in the back. We love her, but don't put it in right away because as you're adjusting the wig, especially if you are a tender hitter like me, it tends to snag a little bit so like that. Comb is like literally the last step, so this one actually hugs and fits my hair super snug. I do have that cap, showing you don't have to put that cap on i'm just very proactive at like protecting what little bit of hair. I got with all my might and more importantly like, if there's combs throughout the wig um, not feeling that snagging feeling, okay. So you guys know the drill i like to add a little bit of this on camera. It does come up like grayish, but in person it is very black and i just like to make sure that you know anything going around. There is covered, especially because my hair is so thin and fine, if you see most people when they section out this amount of hair. It'S like this nice thick piece, but mine is very thin, so i want to make sure that nothing is looking crazy. I like to match my parting up as best i can with my nose, because i feel like my face sometimes is like crooked as i comb it. Look how beautifully my real hair is going to blend in with the the extensions okay so to to reinforce the wig a little bit more. We add bobby pins. We prefer some that matches your complexion or not your complexion, but your hair best black will do it for me and you can just pin them wherever you want and as you go along and you get used to this. Wig you'll find your placement and what works best for you today, i'm just gon na go here and here also, if you find that you want combs, i prefer these like the wig combs that they have. But if you prefer, like the wig clips, you can definitely um sew, some in so i'll. Have the amazon set that i usually would get mine from. You can take the wig clips and you can actually um sew them in yourself and the good thing about putting my hair into a bun. Is that, like i could like back here, i actually needed a little bit more hair because the wig goes back a little bit further than i thought. So. I was able to just pull some out of that bun with the rat tail comb, and this is what she looks like on. I honestly don't want to add any product. If i would, i would go with my edge control. You guys know my edge control works. Very well, but because my hair is not relaxed and i didn't even press it, it just gives a little bit of a untamed. Sometimes you think i'm crazy, but i know i am and voila we are done. You guys see how simple and easy it was to install and style this wig, and we only had to use minimal heat. So my hair was due for a blow out since i did go ahead and wash it today and i just want to wear it in a blow dry ponytail. But the great thing is that, because my hair is natural and then it's kind of thin um, i, like my little thin ponytail blow dried like for um being around the house. Carpool hanging out running errands. But if i want to turn it up a notch and go out to eat - or you know just give myself a little bit more volume without putting on a full wig, especially because the trend right now is like the micro links and um. All of that i'm not trying to partake in that trend, because i don't really want to leave my hair out and i definitely don't want to attach anything to it, because my hair is so thin and just fragile to begin with. And then it's natural, i'm afraid of heat, damaging it and then having to start all over this. For me, you part wigs in general. U part and v part wigs are for me the perfect alternative, because i'm able to put them on um and like with this texture, i'm able to just blow dry, my hair and as long as my hair is in a actual blowout, i can put it on And it blends and you guys can see up close like it genuinely blends very well and if i wanted to switch it up and do like a straight style, i could definitely flat iron. My hair, but again this for me, is about low maintenance and being able to take what i already have and make it just a little bit. You know more fun and switch it up without having to risk damage. Am i thinking my butt, and this is what it looks like from the side, and this is what it looks like from the back. I am wearing my waist belt from ashley b deck fitness. So we got these purple wig flips super nice goes with my comb that i used today. We got some really nice. 3D. Mink lashes. You know we always received these scarves this one mimics a bandana. Almost i mean it's not the same, but it gives like the vibe of a bandana and so it's kind of like an old school bandana but make it bougie. So i'm going to let you guys go because i said five minutes ago i'll, let you go so.
