Hey guys welcome back to my channel, I'm Jana Glo, and this video is going to be a full review about my experience so far with micro link. I had them for about two months now: I'm actually getting ready to go to a maintenance appointment to get them washed and styled so hopefully I'll be able to like vlog some of that for you and then after my appointment when my hair is freshly done, I Will you know give you my full experience, my pro with my cons and you know the whole shebang, I'm just throwing my hair and like a quick style before my appointment cuz. I have a couple of errands. I want to run - and I just don't be like in - I don't like to go in there, looking crazy, I'm like out of breath, because I'm running a little late, of course, and I couldn't find my phone at first. You know like me, like looking for something like nothing about. It stands it's kind of gross. It'S like looking for something and stressing whatever, but I'm putting on this edge. Booster hair pomade stick my style factor. I like it for the most part um, then I just take a little hard brush. Whoo Jesus, I'm just brush it up. These are for five day old, flexi rod. Curls, like I washed my hair, and when I do, I wash my hair and flexy rotted it, and it was like my first time trying this and like it didn't, come out exactly. I always hope. Ember like I don't hate it. I'Ve been able to like walk it for the last few days tried a couple different styles, but for the most part, I'm feeling it so for this little quick style, literally just going to brush the back up. I really just have to like put the back like here like a separate ponytail. Just because, like my hair is thick and then these extensions make it even thicker, and I really got ta like brush it up into something, I'm just taking a scrunchie. And then this headbands I have around my neck, I mean I don't what they care about the products. Am I here right now, since it's not to get washed hair wash. I need my micro links to recite in like I need. The whole shebang so definitely excited for it yeah then I just push right here up top like that, then try to leg. What'S up, I'm gon na blink, just what am I here? I had a hat on last night, so I feel like I would like my hat then I just like trying to tuck like that. We got like a little messy bun slash, puff, slash whatever it's cute, oh yeah. I just want to apologize in advance for the way I am just chomping on this gone through this whole video, like I really do like chewing gum, and I chew it with my mouth open pretty often, and especially now that I have this video and like 400 % fast forward, it just is not the best look, but we're gon na get through it and everything's gon na be okay, so she's, starting off by just washing my hair, which felt really nice like. Of course, I had just washed my hair about a week and a half prior to this, but when I was doing it, it was my first time and I was kind of scared to like rip tracks out or anything which I shouldn't have been, but getting her To really get through it felt great and then like she just kind of braised it down. This is just to put me underneath the dryer and, as you can see, my hair is a very, very natural and the hair that's installed is some silky straight Brazilian. So right now the textures do not match at all, but it's okay, because it's all gon na come together. Y'All glossy! Don'T laugh at me, so I really really do like the style. But I do in the wind everybody that this is not a protective style at all like you can see right now. All of my hair is out like there is not a braid. There is nothing under a cap like it's all just out and about for the whole world. It also involves a lot of heat, so at least for the style that I got my micro links in every time. I go to get maintenance, it is a blow-dry. It is a flatiron, it is heat, its heat, but I'm not one of those nitros who's, afraid of heat and I'm actually ok with heat training, my hair, because what I do wear it out, I don't really wear it and it's natural curly state like I will Do a twist out or something like that, so I don't mind it being heat trained, but I don't expect to see any heat damage and, of course, we're gon na see, but I have high faith. My stylist did a pretty good job of protecting my hair. I feel like, along with the things I was doing it at home, so shouldn't be no damage over here. I guess this style. There'S no glue, there's no thread at all, like my hair is attached. A regular bundle. Hair like wefts are attached to my hair. Like you see, are using these real small pliers, it's with a small micro link bead and these pliers, and that's it so I don't have to worry about like if it was glue - and I don't have to worry about tracks like hanging off. There'S no loose thread like it's a very, not carefree, but I'm not stressing about my hair looking crazy because it's really seamless and it really blends in really nice and another thing about there not being any glue or thread. Is that there's no tension at all. It'S completely painless. I have to get my hair braided down my eyes, not pulled back real tight, like there's, no tension, no, it's fine, and because of the no gluing thread again, it looks super natural like once my hair is all pressed out and blended, like it literally looks like It'S just growing straight from my scalp, which I really appreciate because I was wearing wigs for a while and eventually you know I just got tired of the whole. Take on take off glue it down. Every morning like I just got sick of it. I got sick of it and this gave me a really nice break from the wigs and I don't know I did clippings before and I feel like. This is kind of like a long, lasting version of clay like so. If you try clippings before and you liked it think of this as like clippings, that you can sleep in and do activities in and you ain't got to worry about the comb like ripping into your hair, because micro links is very safe. So there's no as long as you go to somebody who knows what they're doing you don't have to worry about them like damaging your hair, ripping it out because it is a metal beat, but there is silicone inside of the beads, so it works for me also When you guys that this can get very, very pricey, because the initial installs can range from anywhere from five hundred dollars that I've seen people charge in like $ 1,200 for installs, and then after that, every like two to three weeks, you have to go to get Maintenance, so definitely something that, if you're not used to going to the salon, often like before this, I was mostly doing my hair myself, so I wasn't really going to the salon too often, so it is something that you kind of have to work into your budget. Thankfully I got these micro links as I was a model originally, so I did receive a discounted rate along with some free services, but I still had to come out of pocket for some and, if you're not used to doing our hair, it's just a new experience. This definitely is not a style that I would recommend you try to DIY. You definitely want to try to find a good stylist who's well trained and knows what they're doing, because if this is done incorrectly, it could cause breakage and damage and visible tracks and all other types of issues. So definitely do your research like when I found my wonderful stylist right here. I really looked around and she was the best I could find in the city like the best installs I could find and I'm like. Alright, you know gon na give this a chance. Definitely you also want to make sure, with the style that you're wrapping your hair up every single night, like I know, with wigs another style. Sometimes I get lazy and I just fall asleep without any scarf, but because all of my hair is out like I have to protect it, I don't want to rub it up against anything damaging itself, so I definitely make sure I wrap it or I put it Up and I put my scarf or my bonnet on - to protect my hair along with you - know this extension or these extensions, because it is some pretty good bundle hair and about that I only have a bundle and a half installed in my hair and she provided It so I really wasn't too familiar with it, but so far I haven't had any issues with the hair and yeah. That'S about all. I have to say about this style right now, if you guys have any questions feel free to. Let me know just down below in the comments and I'll be responding with any information I can give, and if not, I can just ask my stylist and then come back and give that information on this style and I definitely recommend at least trying it once this Was fun next time? I think I'm gon na do like a more of a kinky straight texture just to get a better blend, but - and maybe I think I want to try this like going longer so we'll see. Let me know if you guys have tried this style before. How was your experience or, if you plan on trying it like, let's stay in touch guys comment below. Of course, I just tried to record a whole clip of me taking my hair out, and that was a fail because my head was cut off half a clip. So let's try this again, but I mean yeah. I just took my scarf off. This is the third day since my last maintenance appointment to sleep. I just burned all of my hair up into a little top knot and if I wanted to wear in his hot night, I could because, like it's completely seamless like, I can't see any tracks or anything like that in the back. So I would have been fine but yeah. I just took it out. I have a little great comb that I kind of just you know comb through it a bit and yeah maintenance like right after an appointment. It is super super easy like, since this is only the third day, it's fine, my hair stays blended with this hair for about a week. So I'll give you guys another update. Once it's been a week post, oh yeah, I really love this. I love how natural it looks. I love the versatility here but yeah. I got this half-up half-down style because I just told her that I wanted something different, because my two appointments prior to this one. I got the same kind of like all down loose curls, whatever, which is really really cute, but I wanted a little switch up and I really love that with micro links. I can do the switch up. You know so still loving this. I will give you guys. Another update once it's been about a week, post appointment, stay tuned back again, so it's been one week since my maintenance appointment and I just want to show you guys what is looking like now, I haven't put any heat on it after I took the ponytail out. I pretty much just have been wrapping it like the last 3-4 night, so I saw this been like a week in a day since my appointment so yeah my hair is kind of blue. Sometimes I do put like a clipping in the front for like added fullness, but I've just had like a really long weekend at work myself. So I haven't been like getting cuter slick in my edges or anything like literally all I've been doing is wrapping and unwrapping. My hair and like the front actually stayed or the top has stayed pretty straight, which I'm gon na credit to the ETH treatment. I did and the fact that this was my third silk press in two months and I think that, like you know, the more heat presses you get, heat presses the more stuff presses you get. You know your hair starts to become he trained and it just is able to stay straighter for a longer period of time. However, under here we got some Africa. This is like full one puffy like so when I do put it on it. I'M definitely gon na get like this area. This side isn't this back. I don't know why. I come on this side. Why? I so I don't know but yeah I'm able to just kind of hide it um. My ponytail will still be pretty cute, whatever oh yeah micro links, I still love them, there's definitely things I would do differently for my next install, but this is definitely a learning experience. Wow. I'M really tired guys, I'm sorry if this isn't the best ending ever, but thank you so much for watching. I hope that you were able to learn something about micro links. If you want me to do more videos about it, like some styling or just trying new textures or whatever the case may be, please let me know in the comments below thumbs up like I'm like delirious, or something tired as hell thumbs up like this video. For me, there's definitely more things that I want to say, but yeah just give you guys another view about my hair. I really loved, like just the whole natural vibe. This go on one. This ending is everywhere. This video is everywhere, but you know I'm really getting into this whole vlogging thing. So let me know if you guys, like it thanks so much. This hair has given me like 90s, like oh, no, just like classic beauty vibes like wow. I just from this whole thing was not even on I'm a joke, love you guys.

Samantha Stfleur: Great Review!! I am a microlinks specialist and the number one thing I recommend my natural hair texture clients is to have a really close hair extension texture that matches their own natural hair not only for better blend but also to reduce the use of heat so often.

Freddie Brooks: I’ve recently tried this style and I will say it’s definitely not for people who go to the gym and sweat. I’ve had to use heat almost daily which doesn’t work for my particular needs. I will try doing the natural install to see if that works better for me. Your hair is beautiful by the way.

erika brown: I would get micro links but the salon tried to charge me $3000 for them. I be damned if I pay $3000 for a hair style!

Lisa Pyles: You have given the best tutorial on micro links so far. Your hair looks very natural and beautiful. Thank you for the video.

Brooke brown: I’m glad you were honest and upfront about everything. I’ve been seeing this and I think I want to try it out. I don’t mind heat at all. This video was very helpful. Thank you ☺️

Dira501: It would’ve looked so much better and more natural (to me) had she used hair to match her texture.

Curvy Thick Fit TV: I tried DIY and it was a whole mess lol! I'll be going back to my stylist for another install. Yours is

Olivia Brown: Love the extensions!! I would definitely love to see you do a review of Straight Silk Spray Heat Protectant by JuniorLabs. It makes my hair silky smooth ❤️❤️

Netty: Thank you for all the information you gave!! You’re hair is as stunning as you are Queen!! Thanks for the video!!

LaReina M: Thank you for sharing this! OMG you're so sweet and real. I appreciate the entire video! I am sold on trying microlinks. Keep sharing lol.

Vicky Barnett: Absolutely brilliant, I love it, it looks gorgeous on you and as for the stylist.....brilliant

Lyv Rue: I know you said don’t diy but I have a feeling someone gone innovate this and find a way and soon everybody is gonna do it themselves lol

S Grant: I’m happy you said don’t diy it. Lmaoo u know girls be tryna diy everything

Queen Prophetess Live: It looks so nice. It's better when you use your texture so less heat and tension

Kiara Danielle: I’m watching and I’m like this look like Burnetta’s hair salon!!! Sure enough it is!!! Your hair looks soooo good. I agree, B is the best in the city hands down. Im so looking forward to getting microlinks next month.

Issa Rae's Body Double: My hair is texlaxed so I’m not even worried about my textures matching. I can’t wait to get this done!

Sephora Mikieke: I love your micro links but you need to find weave that blends better with your natural hair for sure

Precious Thomas: Great client! You know how to maintain your hair!

SheIsVery Busy: Great video sis! You look beautiful! ❤️

ItsVonnaJoi: This looks so bomb. I’m in the process of researching microlink stylist in my area

Mary J Flanagan: I really like this stule and due to no tension, could invest in this in the summer once my hair grows out. I like the curliness of the roller set. It's the perfect length. It does look very natural. I even like the way it looked after a week because it still looks pretty and natural. This is Africa! Put that pomade stick and hard brush on that kitchen. I am a sub teacher and was talking to my 3rd grade class exactly like that at the end of yesterday. Working long hours can get to you. Lol

-Mad Hatter Bbie-: Omg even tho it wasn’t the texture of your natural hair it still came out really good ❤️!!

Indy M: I never heard of these hair extension wow they look so real

Sweyana Walker: I do it with my own hair it’s pretty easy and quick I’ve never used micro links but I have done the braidless sew in rubber band technique. From the review of this video mine feel and look the same way but I will definitely try micro links, next week. I would say it does last about a week and then your hair frizz up eventually or is due for a wash it definitely takes maintenance and you have to keep up with washes or your hair will break and fall out and me well I’m lazy sometimes especially now that I will be having a newborn in 3 weeks does anyone know anyone In NY that does this. I went to cosmetology school and a bit experienced with hair so I do my own but now I’m ready to put that responsibility on a professional because I won’t be so free anymore.

Ahnah Danee: Can we see more of you come back girl

Jatima Bellamy: Do you have to purchase the bundles yourself?

Shear Beauty: How long are your extensions?

supriseme: Getting this done next month for my birthday

Aheavens77: Do you recommend a person that works out hard getting this style? I’m afraid my natural hair being exposed would poof up under the weave. It will be my first time trying weave so I’m trying to find the best method for me.

Champagne K: Okay so what happens when ur hair gets steamy or puffs up....? Or you take a shower and the steam gets to it

Nena Curry: Where can I purchase micro links

Youhatealex: I love the way your voice sounds lol don’t judge me‍♀️

Apurva Singh: Can we do regular gym (sweaty) after getting this?

LA J: I really love that look. Looks great on you. Who is the installer/ salon who did it? Please include information where.. Thanks.

niaisagun: Hi, where is your stylist located and do u still go to her for the microlinks?

Naomi A: My adhd must've kicked in cause I'm so confused so is we said this is best on natural hair but why is it considered a protective style? My 2nd question you attach the micro link to your own hair, but then we had a track on top of that? I'm so confused what was the point of adding the links then? And last did you experience any breakage or weakening of the hair from doing micro links?

Brandy Compton: Where did you buy your hair?

Sheena Harris: Hello how many inches do u have installed here?
