Trying Microlink Hair Extensions For The First Time!!! | Review & 5 Month Check-In

hello beauties!

I'm back with another video taking you all through my microlink hair extension journey! I decided to get try this style after getting a closure sew-in that went terribly left which led to my research of styles that were versatile, natural looking and as easy to manage as my natural hair would be. I came across these microlink extensions, found someone in my area who could do them well and 5 months later, I haven't looked back since! Y'all when I tell you I am in LOVE with this installation! Y'all have to see for yourselves!

Push it, you know it's not for me to say it's not for me: [ Applause ], so [ Applause ], so so so, just like that started science, editor steve newman reports on one person already except okay, oh okay! Okay! What'S is hello? Everybody welcome back to my channel all things beauty with free. That'S me. What i have for you guys today is a cool video in which i show you guys my process in getting micro link, hair extensions. So i'm going to tell you guys all that you need to know, including showing you guys, the installation process of my home girl, uh kiara, who did my hair for me, um, so she's located in the cleveland, ohio area. So if you guys are near here, then make sure you hit up my girl i'll, put her information in the description box below but y'all she's slayed she slayed so right now my hair has been done for about a week now. Um. Actually, i've had this installation in for about three or so months, um with tightening and washing and um, washing and styling, in between kind of give it that refreshed. Look, i mean, obviously you wash your hair shampoo and condition it every two weeks or whatever um, and so i just been i've just been maintaining um the hygiene of my hair as usual. But yes, it has been in for about three or so months now and i think the longest you can wear it before you need to take it out and wash your hair entirely is five months, um and so yeah. I just want to tell you guys my experience and my thoughts about it. Is it worth it? Is it not? I'M gon na go ahead and just give you guys an inside view and let you guys kind of decide for yourself. Is it worth it? So, with my experience, um, one of the main concerns with me is that i got this style because i wanted it to be versatile and i wanted it to look natural, so that does this does exactly that. That hits all marks for me like. I can put this as you see in the video half up half down ponytail bun. You know middle part, side, part all that you can do any regular hairstyle that you could with um your natural hair with this uh installation um. So that's one of the bonuses and also um, it looks super natural. So you can see my um part here. You can see you know my baby hairs aren't covered um. You can see underneath you're, not gon na see any tracks, you're not going to see tracks. Sticking out from the side, there's no, you know wefted, i mean what is it um, there's no lace hairline or any of that stuff that you get when you do closures and things like that um. So this is kind of what you'll get and let me just start by saying this is probably one of the best decisions i've ever made. So one thing i learned about this installation process is that if your hair is thin like mine, then you can't fit as many bundles as you might want. So i thought when i was getting this hair done, that i was going to have some extreme voluminous dramatic. You know, hair that was a lot different from my natural looking hair, so to speak, but in actuality this was just an extension of my natural looking hair, so this is only one bundle and a half, because my hair is thin and because my head is small, So my stylist told me you know i can't put all these tracks in your hair. There'S just not enough of your hair to cover the tracks that i'm putting in so i was only able to do a bundle and a half, but normally you would put at least two bundles um, maybe three if you have thick hair. So i would definitely suggest this style, especially if you want something super dramatic, super, versatile and natural, looking okay hold on guys yeah. So another thing is: let's talk about this color job y'all, look at this color job, i'm gon na do just a spin, really quick, but y'all the color matching that she did with my highlights that i originally got a couple months prior when i was in new Jersey she was able to match the highlights that i got then to the style that she um that she installed for me now. So i'm super happy about that. Another plus is that this hair is, i believe it's called it's dreamy hair. I will link it down below, but this hair is such great quality and it resembles my natural hair. So much as you can see like you can't even tell where my extension starts, and you know my natural hair ends - and i am just so so impressed with its dreamy hair, like honey yeah, what links what links links where? Where? Because this hair is bomb y'all, this hair is so beautiful um. It does not get super tangly it like it's affected by humidity, just as your natural hair would be, and honestly i love it. I'M so so happy that i was able to get this style done and this style runs you 600 to start and that's with the coloring, as i told you she put highlights in that's for the installation process, that's for the wash and blow dry and the flat Ironing and um, you know, buying the hair itself, which you can reuse, which is another plus and also she's, able to wash your hair after five months, and you take it out. She'S able to wash your hair and then put your hair back in. If you so choose, so you will always get your money's worth. I know. 600 is a high price point when it comes to hair for some people um. For me, i found it incredibly worth it because i have not had to do anything else to my hair. In months other than just treat it like, i would my normal hair, um and yeah. So it was super worth it to me, and the only downside is that you can't get your hair wet, because if you do - and you have naturally curly hair like i do - then obviously your natural hair would be curly and the extensions would be straight um and That'S not gon na look good, it's not gon na blend um, and that just is what it is, but you kind of expect that when you get this hairstyle, so that's just something to know or something to note just in case you do have to keep your Hair straight all the time, and so i would suggest this to be a hairstyle more suitable for the spring or for winter, when you don't sweat it out a lot or if your hair is affected by humidity. Often like mine is then this might not be a style you want to have in the summer in which i'm not going to have it. I'M actually highly, considering switching to a curly micro link set also supposed to be done by my girl kiara. So hopefully i can jump on here and show you guys how that looks as well, but yes um definitely be weary of the fact that you will not be able to wet your hair, so this might not be a summer. Look for my ladies who like to you, know, be all around and go to the water parks go to their little vacations and such and such so um, but for what it's worth? I love this hair. I love this style and i love my stylist like what would i do without you? Thank you, girl, like she always coming in clutch, so professional, so sweet. So if you guys are looking for a hairstylist in the area, please hit up my girl, kiara um i'll. Also tag her instagram page and you guys can just hit her up and ask her all the questions, and even if you have questions for me, make sure you ask down below but other than that. That will be the end of this video. Thank you guys. So much for watching, and i can't wait to see you next - video bye,
