How To Install A Full Head Of Hair Extensions

Need help learning how to install a full head of hair extensions? Ruben Martinez is here to show you how!

Hey people's I'm Ruben Martinez with Donna, Bala Milan and thanks again for joining us in another edition of root tube live. What we're going to do today is we're going to demonstrate the proper application of a full head of extensions. I'M really excited, let's get started. So what you want to do is, as you can refer to our other tutorials you'll, find out how to do the proper sectioning and it's basically simple, it's 1:00 in the middle, and then you have your one in the back. Okay, you have two sides and your one in the back, so you're going to start at the very bottom. Always let gravity work in your favor. Don'T have to worry about holding up all that air. So what you always want to keep in mind is you're going to keep a perimeter section around the hairline extension free. So that way remember these are individual extensions. You want to be able to let your client pull her hair up in a ponytail or whatnot. Maybe even an updo without having these extensions visible with that being said, let's get started we're going to go ahead and grab our section of hair, and I'm going to knock these out really quick, we're going to do one at a time and member we're going to Keep a perimeter section around the entire hairline extension free now, some of your clients, you're going to find, are really really fine in this area. No worries what we're going to do is we're going to space them out even further. You can always keep in mind. Maybe either a half an inch to a two inch perimeter section around the entire head extension free now with this right here this method I'm going to demonstrate if your client had fine to medium hair, we're going to do every other strand we're going to grab a Section of hair weave on that micro bead, get that hair through that loop make sure it stays there. What we're going to do is get all these little baby hairs out of the way and just insert it like so clipping it flat now. What I'm doing here is I'm skipping a space, because I have to keep in mind. She has very fine to medium hair and we're just going to knock these out back-to-back-to-back grabbing our section of hair, pulling it through this loop. Okay, there we go. We get seminar zone; sometimes we just go so fast. I love it so we're going to grab our section hair weave on that micro bead insert our extension and crimp it down flap with the having it flush with the top part of the extension now. This is I'm going to demonstrate a few things here once we finish up this row, and I want to talk about a few things here. Basically, once again, this is going to be for fine to medium here. I cannot stress that enough. The reason why I'm skipping the space is because, if I did every single strand in that individual row, her hair would look too full and unbalanced. Remember people fine to medium hair up on top requires that you're going to skip a space between every extension itself. You want to make sure there's an even balance. We'Ve all seen these hair extensions walking around our towns right, they're, a bunch of a hair extension don'ts. We don't want to promote none of that. We want to make sure we have an even balance all the way through, so this row is now finished. Voila you see that people, that's your first, your first, your first, that is your first row of extensions, completed and done so that way, this is going to be targeting fine to medium hair. Okay. What I'm going to do now is I'm going to take my next section right above that and you're going to ask well, why am I going to go right above it if she has fine to medium hair? Well, it's simple people. The fact of the matter is that we did a brick laying pattern, so what you want to do is you want to fill in that gap where you skip the space, because if you go too high of a section, if you skip a section too high and You start going with a same method: what you're blending and layering it you're going to leave gaps in there. We want to show that you can keep it full and consistent from root to end okay. So once again now this is fine to medium hair. So you can kind of see right here. I still have my perimeter section extension free, I'm going to start right next to it now, right above it now remember. I can't stress this enough. This is going to be for fine to medium hair because imagine if she had some thick hair and you were Picabo E or not Picabo and I'm sorry, you were skipping every other strand Wow. It would look so straggling on her ends and we always want to promote natural, beautiful look in here. So with this installed right here in between where I skip this place on the bottom row, it fills it in it fills it in. Let me do a couple more, so you guys can get the idea what we're striving for here going to go underneath pinch, that hair pull it through that loop and just weep on that micro bead grabbing your extension, inserting into the micro bead and just crimping it Flat, I love this concept, see this right here now you're going to be able to install and ensure there's going to be fullness as you're blending. I love that so what you're going to do? Is you just going to continue the same pattern? The same method back to back to back, but you're not going to go back to back with the extensions itself, but you're going to keep the same concept you're, going to kind of do a brick laying pattern. That'S going to be for fine to medium hair now say she had really thick medium to thick hair. I'M going to do the same concept. However, I'm going to be going every extension and every single strand in that row. I can do the same amount of rows. The right back to back to back up on top, but I want to make sure they're going to be right next to each other. What I mean by that is this, so, where I skip the space, we're going to pretend that she has full hair now full hair of thick, just beautiful words are up on top, but she wants length. So what I'm going to do is on every single row. I'M going to do every single strand, but I'm always always people always going to make sure. I leave a perimeter section extension free. So once again I'm going to grab my hair pinch, it pull it through and weave on that micro beard. As I grab my extension, I'm inserting it into the micro beading and crimping it flat god. I love these extensions they're, so amazing. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to grab right next to it. Remember now we're pretending that she has really thick hair. She wants a full head of extensions. Once again, I'm going to be doing every single row every single strand, because if we kept this method going that we had for the fine to medium hair on somebody with thick thick hair, what's going to happen, it's going to look really straggly at the bottom. So she's going to have this beautiful, beautiful, gorgeous set of hair up on top, but then straggly extensions. We want to stay away from that remember if your best result is always going to be as long as you target a natural appearance. Okay - and I do mean natural from root to end - I hope you guys get this concept down, because it's pretty basic you guys. What you want to do is once again just go row by row. I should say row by row back to back to back for a full carat of extension, a full head of extensions. Okay, that's going to be with thickness from medium to thick, hair; okay, if they have an abundance of hair. That'S what you want to go with! You want to go with every single strand and every single row if they have fine to medium here. What you're going to want to do is you're going to want to go every single or every other row, every other strand there we go. You guys get what I'm saying every other strand of extension, all the way back to back. I love it. I love it. I hope that helps you out and, as you can tell, what we're going to do is just going to work our way up going horizontal. All the way up the back of the head. Okay, so I hope that helps you guys out stay tuned for our next episode of route. Tubed live
